The other day I was thinking about my family's yearly vacation destination, Wildwood, New Jersey (my dad has been going there every year since the 50's and our family had gone every year up until I was in my 20's, and after a hiatus we started going back yearly a couple of years ago). Anyway, it's very close to Philadelphia (about an hour and a half drive) and recieves a large influx of Philly tourists every summer. What is my point... of course I'm thinking about how Jess Mariano has definitely spent time there after moving to Philly. Also thinking he's not much of a beach person but he would still come to the Jersey Shore for the boardwalks and to cruise for chicks and have a good time and get a hot dog.

Well, I’m also working on a really gay sequel to a classic novel that no one ever asked for. I’ve written like ten pages of it within the last few days, between finishing my paper. (I write fiction faster than academic work, especially when inspired).  

A few key concepts; Redemption arc, ‘bad’ children who grow up to realize it was the adults around them who failed them (and they themselves aren’t inherently bad), female husbands/lesbian lovers, escapism/country life, reclaiming a life for yourself that suits who you are even if that means you need to change everything, crack couple (since there is a canon text for this story and these characters never meet in the canon). 

Basically, two characters that were mainly portrayed as villains or at least problematic antagonists are now going to be the heroines of the story. Sorry not sorry.
