Okay so for some reason domestic Lawlight to me hits even harder than canon Lawlight. The longing, mostly. Light blow-drying L's hair after a bath. Maybe they play a game of chess on a cold morning, or go on a walk together. They share ice cream even though Light doesn't like it but it's L's favourite. Maybe they get a cat. Or a dog. They have a house together and they solve cases together, and in this universe maybe there will be arguments and fights but they'll find each other in the end. They make a pact to never go to bed angry even though it means staying up and glaring at each other, or maybe petty stupid little things like Light hiding L's sweets or L snatching his shampoo. But they curl up together in bed even though their backs are turned to each other, and in the morning they have the comfort of knowing this anger won't last. They take turns apologising first. They're fucked-up but less fucked-up and in this world they don't make each other worse, they make each other better because they both know the other is the only one in this lonely world who understands them. In this world they will die happy, they will die with the pleasure of having known the other.
