Hadestown poster concept!!

I comPLETELY forgot about this, I think I made it for fun maybe right around graduating college, or sometime teetering on my college/PMDD/endo/newfound chronic pain burnout. (I think I discovered hadestown sometime in my second or third year and I’ve adored it since, might be my top musical. Definitely top 5)

It’s kind of oldish now but I think it’s still pretty good! I’ve gotta do more stuff like this!

Kaleidoscope AU Nine Ref!

And finally Nine, in all his super pale-furred glory!

Body: Nine is very skinny and a bit short. Not having access to quality food for much of his life made it difficult for him to put on any weight, including muscle. Thus, he's not very strong and his noticeably thinner tails can barely support him in flight. He's basically long+skinny all over: Ears, cheek tufts, tails.

Important!: Don't forget his BEAUTIFUL LIL EYELASHES! They're small, but they're there! He has a bit of natural eyeliner, too. Kinda like Silver, but more subtle.

Fur+Markings: He has very pale yellow fur, markings, and eyes from being a basement dweller. Other than his ear/cheek tufts, his fur is very short (no chest fluff or tail fluff). I draw him with only 1-2 cheek tufts to emphasize the long/thin aspect. Sometimes I draw his ear tufts as just two lines for the same effect. His foot/hand markings are typically not visible when wearing his shoes/gloves. His inner ear marking is the reverse of Tails', looking like a "v" instead.

Clothing+Accessories: He always has two industrial piercings on his left ear. In Act 1, he was wearing his comfy clothes: a turtleneck with a cardigan and his dorky cool gear necklace, plus his typical canon shorts, shoes, and belt. In Act 2, he ditched the comfy stuff for a more practical hoodie and rebuilt his mechanical tails. I actually imagine the tails to look more mismatched and cobbled together since he had to make them from various scraps, but I'm too lazy to design them. qwq;

The only reason his gloves and shoes are the same is because I couldn't think of anything else yet. I'd still like to come back and tweak his clothing design overall, but for now: This is Kaleidoscope Nine!

I know I've probably said this before but I will always be in awe of the moral fortitude of people who leave religion over bigotry. The strength of character it takes to look at a system that you've been told your whole life is perfect, was (depending on the religion) created by the universe's only law-giver, not to mention it's probably the system every authority in your life adheres to. The strength it takes to look at that and say "No. This isn't right." I adore you.

i keep wondering why i don’t feel like the new x-hunter uniforms look cheap, the way i’ve seen a lot of ppl say they are

and then i remember the MLB’s see-through pants upgrade from last year

there are things i could say about the new x-hunter uniforms, how certain elements require a higher quality of construction by default, and how various choices were made to make the uniforms fit with a more action/superpowers oriented storyline, but basically my standards are at the point where a uniform will never look cheap to me unless an athlete can bend over and sear every wrinkle in their genitals into my eyeballs

Once again looking at that side-by-side of the Oblivion og and Oblivion Remaster zombie and feeling baffled because the original zombie design is still just so good?

Like at age 13 playing Oblivion for the first time the zombies genuinely terrified me. They were so gross and even on lowest graphics settings the contrast of green flesh and the bright red gore was easy to parse as "icky". And it still does read so much ickier both at a glance and up close than the ultra-crunchy peach-flesh stock Remaster zombie.

Small rant but I dislike it when people make N and V siblings or put in a found family setting cause like, they fuckin liked eachother 😦

Yes they aren't canon and yes N lost interest but it doesn't remove the fact they once shared romantic feelings for each other ?? Even if they choose to not pursue it, it's still.. weird

And while I love nuzi with my heart I just get so bitter??? Seeing people make V and N related or see each other as family in fics/aus cause like. Man what 😭

If you're not an envy shipper, that's fine, that's cool. But if you're gonna put the reason behind why V and N aren't in a romantic picture in ur fics/aus could we like.. make it because they just see eachother as buddies?? Bff's?? And not. Yk.

But like whatever I'm just a hater I guess /j /silly
