Cuando toque votar el 23J, recordad: antes cerdo que fascista.
--
Next Sunday we're having general elections in Spain, and a whole movement has started around Porco Rosso to encourage people to vote against the rising fascism in my country. He's become the perfect icon... and well, it's time to fight (again) to keep our rights.

Indy & Porco (2023)
Took this down yesterday to make a few edits, sorry about that. I don't always go in the for the mashups but I like to imagine there was a little window in time where these two could've crossed paths on an adventure, maybe beating up some of Il Duce's goons. Indy has seen enough at this point not to question why this guy is a pig, and Porco is taciturn about the particulars. I'm collecting some reference images in case I want to do more with this...we'll see.

is there like some common belief in Germany that makes the average person here think that if they say something in German, and I reply "English please, I don't understand", angrily and condescendingly yelling the same thing at me STILL in German will somehow make me instantly and magically fluent in their own language? Like oh I said I didn't understand what you said and if you can repeat it in English but you yelled the same thing again while pointing me at a German sign, NOW I understand everything you just said that I couldn't catch a word of a second ago, thank you! 🙄

I am absolutely certain that when Jason Aldean sings, “Sucker punch a guy on the sidewalk,” he’s mad about this:

Today should be an important day in Italy: the day we celebrate the Country's liberation from the fascist regime.
It should, because in fact the party that is in government in Italy today is fascist. It is so in history, it is so in intentions, it is so in deeds. Rights are violated, voices are silenced (fortunately not in the manner of their fathers, but no less serious for that).
'Better a pig than a fascist'. Is more true now than ever before.
