my problem is that im so interested in worldbuilding and characterization and most cartoons that are being made today simply dont have the level of rhat that im looking for. like nobody is ever getting on infinity train's level

I was tagged by @brenli , thank you so much! I don’t think I’ve ever done anything so long on this page :D So, here we go! It will be a little messy, ‘cause I’m constantly overtired and feel slightly rusty with my English, and also withholding some facts, ‘cause I’m paranoid. Sorry. 

1. how tall are you?  158 cm, which means I’m usually the tiniest person around. I don’t mind, though. 

2. what color and style is your hair?  Natural color is pretty mousy and I hate it, so I’ve been dying my hair since junior highschool, I guess. Till last year I always dyed them claret, but last holiday I changed it to something that starts as black and finishes as plum.  I used to have them shoulder-length, but four years ago I cut them really short and since then I am a proud owner of very little hair on my head. I do envy people with long hair, but well, I know what I have now fits me better. 

3. what color are your eyes?  Green.

4. do you wear glasses? Yup, constantly since the end of elementary school. With myopia that goes to - 6 I really do not see much without my glasses. I’ve never used contacts nor do I intend to, I can’t imagine having to touch my eyeballs or anything.

5. do you wear braces? Not anymore, thankfully! But I did, for 7 years!!! I still have to wear some stuff at nights and I have one element left on my lower teeth, but that’s all. 

6. what is your fashion style? I don’t think I have one. I mean I don’t like fashion, so I just wear whatever I feel like wearing. My clothes are diverse, but they are usually dark and with something interesting on them (imprints/spikes/other metal things). I have a lot of T-shirts/sweaters with skulls and animals (especially cats and owls). I love warm sweaters, hoodies, jeans and leather jackets. I am obsessed with high heels, my favorite shoes are a black leather ones that reach well above my ankles and have like an 8-cm-long heel. I don’t own a single skirt (like... no) and I have only a few dresses which I wear only if I’m forced to (big dislike for these ones as well). I’m an all-trousers girl. I definitely prefer my style casual; when it comes to elegance I like to wear black in general - black smooth trousers and black suit.

9. where are you from and where do you live now? I was born in a small-ish town in southern Poland and now I still live in southern Poland, but in a much bigger town. So not much of a change, just a few hours of travel by car. 

10. what school do you go to? One Polish university, four months to go and it will be the end of any school for me! 

11. what kind of student are you? Up till university, I was an excellent student, always the best at everything. I was definitely a geek who learned too much. And I always wanted to be at the top. University changed it completely; even when I’m trying hard I’m just average. If I like a subject it shows and I’m having good grades, but generally, I’m all for passing, not excelling. I’m learning a lot and it still isn’t enough right now, which is frustrating at times, especially when I compare myself to my colleagues. On other occasions... I simply don’t care. I just want to pass.

12. do you like school? Well... It depends on the period of my life. I think I didn’t mind elementary school, I hated junior high school and liked actual high school. About university... every year is different, so there were good ones and there were bad ones. I’m not a fan of it in general, though. 

13. what are your favorite school subjects? Pre-uni: Maths and Chemistry, mostly, but Chemistry was my biggest and most unexpected love during my time at school. When it first started I had no idea what it was and I was terrified with it, plus I was behind the whole class because of some disease and I was honestly so nervous about it. Then, a month later, I kinda... fell for it and stayed infatuated with it till the end of junior high. And that’s mostly how I found myself on medical studies a few years later. My teacher from junior high was so amazing she made me love Chemistry more than anything, but sadly, my teacher from high school ruined it all. I had a great Biology teacher then, though it didn’t make me love Biology. It just enabled me to get into the uni I wanted to get to.  I almost always liked my English classes as well, because I had some really amazing teachers and I loved English. I still do, languages are amazing. 

Uni: Histology, Pharmacology, Surgery. The first two are the only ones I excelled at. Surgery - not so much, but I still did well on the final exam. 

14. favorite TV shows? It is both an easy and difficult question. Easy because I do have one TV series I consider my ultimate favorite, and it’s Angel from Buffyverse. The best thing about it is the most amazing character development I’ve ever seen, and trust me, I’m a sucker when it comes to character development. My favorite character from there is one of my ultimate faves (if not THE one) and his path is one of the most epic ever. Plus it has an amazing material for shipping and some great acting, it’s dark, depressing and hopeless, and that’s what I love. It’s also one of the few examples of TV series when I actually LIKE the main character; he’s actually one of the people I like the most. It almost never happens; usually, I’m very anti-main characters (e.g. LotR, HP).

The question gets difficult because there are also such shows as Chuck, Firefly or Code Black, amazing and mostly flawless (apart from the ending of Chuck), but are they my favorites? At times, maybe. In general... I just don’t know. Bones and Castle fought for my undivided attention for years (most of the times Bones was on the winning side) and they’re both in my top 10, though probably not top 3. Plus, there are some gems that had such amazing potential, but were cut short and had too little time to develop; apart from Firefly, it would be, e.g. Monday Mornings, Perception, Black Box.

There were also a lot of amazing TV shows I loved dearly during some of their seasons, but almost always something happened and they got ruined. PLL, TVD, Grey’s Anatomy (I feel like I’m watching it now for one pairing only), OUaT and so on. House was my first American TV series and I’ll always have a place for it in my heart. I love GoT in its very early and very late seasons, but what comes in between? Nope.  

(I watch way too much TV.) 

The honorary mentions should go to some non-American shows (honestly speaking, I’m kinda tired with the general trends of American TV at the moment). I’ve started my adventures with TV with Polish soap operas that I completely adored; when I discovered American TV I stopped watching them entirely and don’t intend to come back. I love some good English dramas, but BBC tends to get a little bit overdramatic or too dark even for me (Ripper Street ripped my heart from my chest). Speaking of ripping hearts, let’s not forget about the Japanese ones, as @brenli mentioned! They are something completely different, they have amazing plotlines and characters, and - sometimes - Hiroyuki Sanada who is just everything (and I get to analyze the shows with @brenli, which makes them even better). Koukou Kyoushi will stay with me for years to come, probably Konna Koi No Hanashi as well. Considering my current Asian phase I expect to see much more of Japanese (or maybe Korean) dramas in the future.

15. favorite movies? There are a few movies I could watch on constant repeat and they mean so much to me. Let’s categorize them in genres, shall we?  Animation: How to Train Your Dragon (especially the first part, the second one breaks my heart too much), Ice Age 3; plus the tales of my childhood I could watch five times a day - Pocahontas, Mulan, Spirit: Stallion of Cimarron. Period: Pride & Prejudice 2005. Rom-com: Holiday; Love, Actually. Adventure: Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3. Sci-fi: Matrix 1 & 3.  Plus a few honorary mentions that are equally important, but I just wouldn’t have them on constant rewatch: LotR, SW, HP, Indiana Jones (not every part for every one of these series), National Treasure. There are also a few amazing anime movies (Spirited Away, Kimi No Na Wa, Wolf Children) and among them some masterpieces I think were wonderful, but too heartbreaking to ever watch them again (Grave of the Fireflies, Princess Kaguya). 

16. favorite books? Most of my favorite books are cycles that I grew up with - LotR, HP, Inkheart Trilogy, the Vampirates series, Artemis Fowl, Jeżycjada (a Polish series about a multi-generational Polish family), Felix, Net i Nika (kinda Polish version of HP with science and technology in place of magic), some books by Ewa Nowak. Also, Pride & Prejudice. I’ve loved a lot of books since, but does any of them deserve to be called a “favorite���? I’m not so sure about it.

17. favorite pastime? Writing, from the moment I’ve learned to write (4 years old, I believe). Second best would be watching TV series; when I was younger I’d much rather like to read a book, but that kinda changed. Though, if I’m being honest, at the time being it would be watching ski jumping competitions or anything BTS-related. These past two weeks (yup, I’ve been writing this post for two weeks) has been an interesting journey of interchanging obsessions, some revisited (sj) and some I’ve never expected to develop (BTS).

18. do you have any regrets? Sure, who doesn’t? I’m trying to live by the rule “regret doing something rather than not doing it”, but well, it can’t always work. 

19. dream job? A writer, for sure, always and forever. That is the one thing that has been with me my whole life. Apart from that? Well... Some time after I started my studies I developed a strong dream of becoming a neurosurgeon one day, but this dream faltered this year and now I’m not so sure anymore. Now I feel like I made a completely wrong career choice those few years ago. 

20. would you like to get married someday? Marriage has never been one of my dreams or something I HAVE to do in the future, but I definitely want to have someone by my side, and if they want to get married, then sure, we can do that. Not necessarily though. 

21. would you like to have kids someday? No, no and once again no, and there are so many reasons! First, I do know my body would not be physiologically okay with pregnancy (and after studying Gynaecology I do believe pregnancy is one of the worst things - if not THE worst - that could ever happen to one’s body) and I have no intention of doing such a thing to myself. Second, children scare me; my whole life I’ve been doing my best to keep my distance and avoid contact at any cost (which kinda worked as far, I’ve never even held a baby). Third, I have no maternal instinct and I do know I would be a terrible mother, so what’s the point? 

23. do you like shopping? No. Since I was a child, when my parents took me shopping I always had a book with me and just followed them around while reading (somehow I managed not to collide with anything throughout all these years :P). I still do the same thing if someone makes me go with them to the mall, only now it’s more often my phone, not a book. I love buying books, though. I used to go to the bookshops and buy five books at a time. I don’t do that right now, because a) money b) I have tons of unread books already, but I could still go there and spend hours just looking at the books and reading their covers. 

24. what countries have you visited? Only one, and I’m not even sure it should count. I’ve been to Slovakia twice, but both times only like 50km from the border, and I’ve spent there max few hours. So... it definitely wasn’t even remotely close to this “going abroad” I’ve been always dreaming about... 

25. what’s the scariest nightmare you’ve ever had? Hmm... There was one in my adult life that left me absolutely terrified; I remember waking up and feeling paralyzed with fear. I had a feeling someone was standing in the doorway, but I was too scared to turn around and see, so I was just lying there with my eyes wide open, waiting until the fear passes or something else happens... What was the dream about? I only remember it took place in some fancy mansion near the beach that was either mine or one of my friends’. I think it wasn’t actually a nightmare until the very end when something bad was about to happen to someone who was standing in the living room. The other person was creeping in the dark or something like that, and the character in the dream had the same kind of fear I woke up with. I didn’t actually want to remember more details. 

26. do you have any enemies? I did have some, on every stage of my education, but they are no longer in my life. Nowadays I think I’m too irrelevant to be anyone’s enemy. There are some people with whom I share a mutual dislike, but “enemies” is probably too strong of a word in these cases. 

27. do you have an s/o? Nope. Never had. 

28. do you believe in miracles? Well... not really. I believe in luck and destiny, but miracles? I definitely don’t believe in them in any religious context (I’m completely anti-religion). When it comes to some other kinds of miracles, like medical ones - I know things happen, wonderful things that have no logical explanation, but I do believe that deep down, even though we don’t know it, they have some logical explanation. We just can’t see it.

emmett is 5′10″ and he never lets jake forget it ahskshs. “what’s the weather like down there, shortstack? i can’t hear you from all the way up here” and he only stops when sean and craig silently stand either side of him. and then he sulks until he gets a kiss from sean f

how do they tend to dress?

he has a very casual style imo! my favourite in-game outfit for him was the blue plaid outfit n like. i just imagine lots of jeans + t shirts, he likes a lot of things from thrift stores and interesting accessory pieces like bright belts or funky coloured socks

do they like how they look?

yes lmao he’s hot and he knows it. he and michelle bond over this

are they an only child or do they have any siblings?

w. Well. You See.

are they a morning person or night owl?

an ABNORMALLY annoying morning person lmao he LOVES being awake to watch the sunrise and i like to believe in literally any au where emmett is not actually a piece of vaanu, he and sean buy a house on the beach where they can sit on their back porch or deck or patio or whatever and watch the sun rise and then watch it set again at the end of the day!

are they a cat person or a dog person?

dog person! especially if they’re BIG dogs. the bigger and fluffier the better.

got any favourite foods?

he really likes stuff that reminds him of home! this stuff is hard to think about for emmett since he technically doesn’t have like. a family or any kind of backstory but i like to think it’s influenced by diego and the meals he would have had growing up which is. vague but yeah.

how about favourite drinks?

LOVES water. fucking inhales it like it’s air. this is me projecting but he drinks obnoxiously loud from water bottles because he’s trying to swallow the water faster than the bottle’s nozzle will let it come out. everyone in the endless summer gang is fucking terrified of him for the rate at which he consumes water.

what are their favourite movies/tv shows?

he’d love the crown & the flame but i think that would be a really like? one-off choice for him. i definitely think he likes a lot of the same movies as diego, especially star wars and the alien franchises. he’s terrible with horror movies (same as diego) and in terms of tv shows he likes sort of light-hearted comedies!

do they have any hidden talents?

he’s double jointed at the elbow in one of his arms but it’s not so hidden anymore because craig was annoying him by rough-housing with him so he twisted his arm but then felt guilty because craig started crying shslkshs

do they believe in love at first sight?

yes! he’s a huge romantic and he likes to joke with sean that he fell in love with him BEFORE first sight since he first saw him in his dreams.

who is their love interest?

sean gayle! he flirted with jake a little in book 1 because he liked his bad-boy persona, but the more time they spent together the more he realized that he and jake would never be able to mesh beyond being just friends because their views on life are just too dissimilar to work in a relationship.

what are they afraid of?

he really hates spiders and centipedes and most creepy-crawlies in general, and he has a lot of metaphysical fears like dying alone, hurting his friends/being hurt by his friends u know. the usual.

what are their guilty pleasures?

absolutely 100% watches shitty reality tv dating shows like love island & the bachelor/ette. absolutely does so with popcorn and phone in hand to complain to diego, sean, and michelle who watches with him ahsksj.

what was their dream job as a kid? is it still their dream? 

obviously he was never actually a child but outside of endless summer context he wanted to be indiana jones because he thought harrison ford was hot in those movies ahskshs. clearly he achieved it a little with the adventurer outfit from endless summer.

Short summary, Peter just gets a chance to bond with Charlie a little. This features my headcanon that Charlie is Autistic so uhh, yeah.

A Little Different

Peter flicked off the television and sighed. There was nothing good on TV and he wasn’t particularly interested in the news. He could hear the familiar sounds of his mother making dinner in the kitchen, and he decided to get up and see what she was making. He could smell the food cooking, whatever it was.

“Hey Mom.” He greeted her casually. She put something back in the fridge.

“Peter, go get your sister will you? Dinner’s almost ready.”

“Yeah, will do.” He nodded and headed outside. He expected Charlie to be in her treehouse, since he hadn’t heard any “clucking” in the house.

His little sister was definitely...weird. It was plain to see that, but she was still his sister. He honestly got along with her well, even if she didn’t talk all that much, she was a great listener. The air was somewhat muggy as he stepped outside, but it was still slightly better than inside the house.

“Charlie!” He hollered as he approached the tree house. No response. Considering the fact that he was still bored, he decided to go get her directly, and started climbing up the wooden ladder. He hadn’t been inside of the treehouse in a while.

“Hey Charr...” He called out gently as he looked around the room. He thought he heard something like a sob, which directed his attention to the corner she was in. She sat up, while also inching away.

“What?” She responded quickly and flatly. Her eyes looked a bit Red, and she wiped them quickly with the sleeve of her oversized hoodie.

Concerned, Peter pulled himself completely into the treehouse.

“Whoa, were you crying?”

“No.”

He sat diagonally from her, his feet dangling from the entryway. He gave her a small smile, with a tilt of his head, still a little unsure of what to say.

“Uhh...you sure?” He prodded, hoping she would maybe tell him more.

“I’m fine.”

Awkward silence.

“What are you doing here Peter...” she asked quietly.

“Ehh, mom’s almost done with dinner, that’s all.” He mumbled, looking to the corner. A stack of papers had caught his eye. Charlie had moved onto the lone wooden square in the treehouse, the only thing in the room that was kinda like a chair. She looked at Peter intently.

“These yours?” He asked, but reached over to grab them on impulse. Charlie’s face slightly showed concern, but she didn’t move from her spot.

Peter took notice, before looking at the first drawing from the pile. It was crudely drawn, but he could make out a boy in front of what looked to be a slightly cracked window. His eyes were big “X’s” and Peter guessed he was thrown.

“Who’s this guy getting fucking glocked?” He asked, genuinely curious, showing her the paper. Charlie took no notice of his swearing, but looked horrified at him seeing the drawing. She tried to grab it out of his hands.

“Whoa, chill. I’m not gonna tell mom.” He reassured her. This made him even more curious as he made the connection. “...Is this someone from school?” His voice remained gentle. Charlie looked away with unease.

“I…..don’t know”

Peter nodded. He had a way of reading Charlie, and to him that was an indirect ‘yes’. He frowned slightly, wanting to ask if anyone was messing with his little sister. She spoke before he had the chance to think of how to ask.

“I wish I was a normal girl.”

Peter just blinked, slightly stunned a bit, but the statement confirmed his suspicion. He inched closer.

“Heyy, you’re a normal girl.” He blurted out, even though he knew she was definitely…..different. Charlie seemed to know this as well, as she gave him a slightly annoyed look, not believing him in the slightest. It dampened his mood a bit.

“I mean...even if you’re not like other kids, that doesn’t mean-”

“Peter, what’s a dyke”

What.

“They...called you that?” He asked, a little shocked.

“Not directly, but I heard it.” She responded, leaning over and grabbing a few papers. She handed Peter some of her other drawings. He smiled as he took them, she was opening up a little. He didn’t know how to answer her question though.

“Uhh, I’ll tell you when you’re older.”

“I’m 13.” She huffed. A quick clucking sound followed.

Peter paused, trying to think of the best way to explain this. This wasn’t a topic his family ever discussed, or came across. He hoped his parents would know better, but he wasn’t sure.

“It...uhh, it means a girl who likes other girls… ‘like-like’ ”. He didn’t include that it specifically meant a girl who looked or acted like a guy, mainly since he didn’t want her to feel bad about how she looked.

Charlie just blinked.

“Um…..Why is that an insult.” She murmured, hesitating at first. Her eyes glanced over at him, somewhat fearful as she waited for his answer.

“I dunno... Some people don’t like it or something.” He told her, starting to thumb through her drawings. “I mean, there’s nothing wrong with it, I’m ok with it, people are dumb I guess-” Charlie seemed to relax a little at his response, but still kept her eyes on him.

He was looking through her drawings now. One was of a squirrel, detailed, but still in her sketchy style. It’s tail was very bushy. Peter had to smile at it’s bulging eyes. The next page had a turtle, with lots of patterns on it’s shell. Her drawing of an owl caught Peter’s attention the most. It’s feathers were made up of different shapes, and it reminded him of those “relaxing" coloring books. Part of him really admired the creativity of his little sister. He turned the paper towards her.

“I really like Mr. Owl-” He began, but immediately his heart dropped a bit. Charlie looked as though she was about to burst into tears. “Whoa, what’s wrong?”

“It’s ugly and I hate it.” She whimpered, suddenly unable to restrain herself. She lowered her head in attempt to hide her fresh tears. “They’re all ugly. Like me.”

Peter suddenly felt a rising rage at whoever was bullying his little sister, but didn’t show it. Charlie kept her head down as he knelt in front of her.

“Hey, Charlie.” He told her firmly. “You better not believe that. Whoever said that was a dick.”

She awkwardly glanced to the opening of the treehouse. “Dick” wasn’t a word she heard very often. She thought she knew what it meant...

“Your drawings are great! I love them!” Peter put both his hands on her shoulders, slightly shaking her to get his point across. She slowly lifted her head up, her face still slightly puffy.

“Why...”

“Because you’re so creative! I bet the kid in your class is jealous of you!” He affirmed and gave her a smile as he said this, hoping it would improve her mood. She looked at him.

“Mm...Maybe...” She murmured, but her eyes appeared grateful. Peter was trying to get a smile out of her. She didn’t budge from her serious demeanor.

“I think you should hang Mr. Owl on the wall in your room.” He suggested. Charlie just shrugged. Still no smile. Peter decided to resort to force. Since his hands were still on her shoulders, he took the opportunity.

“Hahaha stop!” She yelled as Peter suddenly ticked her neck. She shoved him and he didn’t object, because her mood seemed slightly better. He gave Charlie a quick hug before her smile left, since he knew she’d go back to her serious look within minutes. Very lightly, she hugged him back.

“...Thanks...”

“You two coming in for dinner?” Both of them looked down as their mother’s voice came from outside. Oh yeah. Dinner.

“Yeah Mom, we’re coming...” Peter hollered back, as they both got up. As they went down the treehouse ladder, Charlie was already back to her deadpan look. She let out a few clucks on the way into the house.

Peter knew she was feeling better.

I just want to cry to someone but I don't have the heart to tell anyone, I don't know why but I get stressed so easily and that one time our nurse had a seminar and asked if anyone is depressed, I just want to raise my hand but I'm too scared someone will judge me and think of me as a weak person, like now, and she started this speech about how to beat depression and I just can't understand how is that going to work because it doesn't work on me. 1. What’s your favourite item in your room that you own?

I would say my PC but if that doesn’t count then probably my Bioshock Infinite Skyhook.

See, my first instinct is to say night owl because I’m a massive grouchy bitch in the morning but at the same time I don’t really stay up that late? I usually go to bed around 11 or something so yeah.

It’s hard to think of any right now tbh. I usually only remember dreams just after they’ve happened and then I forget about them pretty quickly.

7. What age do you wish you could permanently be?

To be honest, I’d like to stay the same age I am right now (24). I feel like it’s not too young to be not taken seriously in some situations but also not so old that I’m considered, well, old lmao. 

8. If you could live anywhere, where would you go?

As much as I complain about Scotland sometimes, I honestly do love living here. I think we take a lot of the stuff we have for granted and we really do have many advantages that other countries don’t have. I'm just worried for what the future holds because of Brexit now...

9. If you could change your name, what would it be?

When I was a teen, I don’t know why, but I went through a phase where I wanted everyone to start calling me Jamie? It was my favourite name and I also wanted to name my first kid Jamie lmoa I don’t know what the fuck. But in response to the question, I have no idea. I wouldn’t change my name to Jamie now but I don’t know what else I’d change it to. I don’t particularly like my current name but I also have no real desire to change it.

10. Biggest fear?

Losing the person/people I love the most in the world and being left alone.

I actually don’t even know. I did scream pretty loudly earlier today because I was getting out of my sister’s car and this MASSIVE bee came flying at me into the car and yeah, I freaked out a little bit because my hands were full with stuff.

7. What’s something you’ve done that you wish you could undo?

When I was a teenager I had braces but I hated them so I basically begged to get them taken off. They were taken off too early, my teeth weren’t totally straight and then on top of that I didn’t wear my retainer so they’ve gone back to being not straight and now if I want them straight (which I do) it’s gonna cost like £3k to get fixed.

1. What is your current sims project?

Just continuing on with my Fontaine legacy right now.

2.  What is it about sims games that inspires or draws you in?

I guess it’s a combination of the freedom to do whatever I want, to create lives and stories with characters I’ve made, to follow a family through generations and see what happens and also the massive amount of creativity the game allows.

Nope, none! (Not to the extent of the Simming community anyway, I obviously know people who play and have played the sims. But there’s a difference, you know? You know what I’m talking about guys. And I don’t meant it in an elitist way or anything I just mean there’s people who play the sims now and again for a bit of fun and then there’s us on Simblr.)

8.  Describe one of your favorite sims.

Brigid is probably my favourite TS4 sim so far. I think it’s a combination of me doing something different with her childhood and upbringing and just her personality and character in general. She’s so kind and caring and wants to see the very best in people and always give them a chance. She’s just super happy and cheerful and pure.

9.  Have you ever had a sim you really disliked playing?!

Hmm... I dislike playing Frank, not in the way that I actually don’t want to play when it’s his rotation but just because he’s slimy and an asshole and it hurts me to basically play out these situations and actions in the game to my other sims because it’s so mean but that’s just the character Frank is and it’s things he would do so I have to do it :(

Hung out, or talked literally ever. But I’ve always thought she seemed like a cool person and someone I wanted to be friends with, and sometime last month or so (she was staying on our couch due to family complications) I outright told her “Hey, you seem like a cool person, and I’d love to be better friends with you J” and by some miracle that WORKED. She called me a nerd for that and we’ve saw Wonder Woman with our moms. I lent her a book from the library (The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, wonderful book, literally the first in my favorite book series!), and she’s really loving it so far! We’re gonna hang out Sunday, so hopefully we click well and I truly will have successfully made my first friend where I was the one who approached!

whats the worst thing you have ever done?

One time when I was younger I had a fight with my mom. Recalling correctly, I was upset that she ‘loved God more than me’ and during that fight she ‘let go’ and said that I was more important to her. Immediately afterwards I made her take it back, and apologized profusely, and never said anything about her feeling God was more important ever again. And she forgave me, because that’s the kind of person she is, but I still feel like shit for it, and I’m so sorry I ever made her say that, whether she meant it or not. I feel so guilty about it even today. She told me that night that she let go so she could grab onto me and save me from drowning, and that even if she had let go, God would have never let her go, and he would save the both of us. I still wish I could make it so I’d never said that.

opinion on smoking?

My entire older family (aunts, uncles, cousins, older brother/sister), smoked. My aunt is a cancer survivor and STILL smokes. My brother and sisters father died from lung cancer. My mother’s parents died from lung cancer. My father smokes (yet expects to live to 100???). My mother is probably the only person in her immediate family that was completely disgusted by smoking. My brother and sister vape now, in their attempt to quit, but my sister would take a hit of our aunts cigarettes every now and then. I hate smoking. It kills. It’s addictive. It’s a waste of your money and brain power. What’s worse is the people (like my sister and aunt), who don’t give a fuck if it will kill you down the road because, according to my sister, “once you reach like, 70, the fun parts over, now you start dying anyways”. Fuck you. What about everyone you’re leaving behind? FUCK you. If you get cancer it’s not just you that’s affected, it’s everyone you love and care about. Your parents, your siblings, your friends, your children. They don’t want to see you die like this, decrepit, and weak. They want to see you healthy, and having fun, and HAPPY. Do they really mean so little to you that you would LITERALLY KILL YOURSELF just because of a 2-minute dopamine rush? I hate people like that. I will never date someone who smokes. That is 100% a deal breaker. I will never, EVER go through what my mother went through with her husband, and what so many others must have gone through.

My opinion on smoking is that it needs to be buried, like all the people it’s already killed.

If you ask her then nothing. But honestly being forgotten about, being left behind or pushed aside. Nevada keeps everyone at arms length but wants more then anything to be accepted and her nightmare would be that never happening.

Uhhhh. I am so horrible at questions like this. Nevada really isn’t a big tv or movie person. She watches whatever is on tv for background noise when she finds it too quiet at the house but I honestly cant think of a favorite movie.

Nevada had moved around so much in life she lost anything she original had. Nevada never really got attacked to items because they never stayed like people. Now her most treasured items would be her bed room furniture. When Nevada officially became a member of state pack she made a comment in passing on never owning a new bed or anything like that. The next day Delaware has bought her a brand mattress and Lanta was forcing her out the door to go shopping for stuff for her attic room. She has never treasured anything more then items she got that day.

Nevada doesn’t sleep much. She normally pass out when too exhausted too stay awake to avoid dreaming. For a while after she triggered she would have nightmares about the accident. She knows she woke up yelling a few times and is glad no one in the pack house mentioned it.

Jeans, flannel, light sweaters, plain t-shirts, leggings as pants, converse, and flats.

Again Nevada doesn’t sleep much. She learned as a child she can survive well on four or five hours of sleep. Nevada will stay up late and normally wakes up early. Though if she doesn’t leave the house super early she will stay in her room or on the roof until mostly people have left or the morning rush has calmed down.

One Direction (she refuses to admit she liked them), anything pumpkin, and the Just Dance video game.

Fall. Overcast or rainy. Cooler and darker weather.

Nevada dislikes and distrust a lot of people but hate is just a lot of energy. The only person she truly hates is the fourth or fifth (she lost count) foster family she had. It was before she started acting out to much. The guy had a gambling problem and when the women started noticing money missing he blamed her and another foster kid of stealing. Nevada was sent to a group home for delinquents and was there for a few months before placed with another family. The group home was by far worse place she had lived and she still thinks of getting pay back somehow on that guy.

Nevada sadly remember everything from the age of five up. When she heard some people don't get memories back she was pissed she did. Nevada doesn't remember good memories though. Just the bad, pretty much because she doesn’t think there were any good memories.

Nevada is the least picky eater. She wasn't given much say growing up just told to eat what was in front of her. It's rare for her to dislike or complain about anything food related. Which is shocking since she will complain about anything else.

Nevada thinks musicals are stupid but she would die without music. She almost always has music on in her room, lightly when others are home, much louder when she thinks she is the only one there. She always normally can be found with headphones in when she walks around too.

Super demiromatic. Gray-asexual or asexual (honestly not sure but heavily leaning to straight up asexual). Nevada has never been in a relationship, never had a desire too. She never let anyone close enough to get romantic attracted to anyone.

It takes Nevada normally around 17-19 minutes to shift. She hates every second of it. Dreading the pain much more then looking forward to the freedom. She doesn’t mind being in wolf form but hates the time to get there and get out of wolf form.

Nevada luckily never had to deal with a full moon without the state pack. She hates it just as much as shifting, except at least she blacks out quickly on a full moon so she thinks it hurts less. She only follows the packs prep. Never does anything more for it.

Nevada doesn’t understand the point of imprints but she also doesn’t understand the point of relationships. She is glad she doesn’t have one. And is pretty sure she would be happy if she never got one.

Define voluntarily?? hahaha. Nevada shifts 2 to 3 times a week for training which she was told she had to do.

Nevada like the freedom that she feels once she has been in wolf form a bit and the pain has worn off. It clears her head more then anything else has.

Human form because even if she likes being if wolf form, getting there is to hard to make it worth it most times.

Neither? Nevada doesn’t care for running much either way but would rather in wolf form, mostly because running human form reminds her of gym class which she skipped a lot.

5 Directors That Should’ve Stopped After One Movie

Some filmmakers are like marathon winners; they stay consistently strong and fast for an inconceivable amount of time, and when they finish, you are left inspired by their existence. And some directors have careers like my performance in my second grade’s three-legged race. I fell at the start, busted my nose open, and writhed on the ground for a while as my partner walked away from me. The following five directors did similar things in their own metaphorical three-legged races. What began as a burst of glorious potential devolved into something hideous and often embarrassing.

Zack Snyder With Dawn Of The Dead

Zack Snyder has always been the Mountain Dew Code Red to Christopher Nolan’s iced coffee. They both direct grand adventure movies, but while Nolan’s philosophy is that of the kid in the back of the freshman year writing class with the scarf, Snyder’s is frat bro existentialism. Snyder is pretty great at examining the darkness that lurks in the hearts of men, but only when those men are grunting at each other, “HOLD ME BACK BEFORE I LAY THIS MOTHERFUCKER OUT, DUDE”-style. In any other case, it’s a toss-up. For example, in Watchmen, he totally got the plight of radioactive superman Dr. Manhattan. But the only female on the team, Silk Spectre, was shot like she was in an impromptu Axe Body Spray commercial.

5 Superhero Movies That Are Only Worth It For One Scene

The only movie that Snyder has done that’s consistent throughout is his first, the 2004 Dawn Of The Dead remake. If you haven’t seen it, it’s about a bunch of people being eaten by zombies at the mall. It’s also fantastic in a way that few remakes actually are, mainly because it does not seek to replicate or expand upon the original. A lot of times in horror remakes, directors try to cram in “answers” to questions that they think viewers have, which totally robs the movies of their potency. We’re scared of the things we don’t know. When we say “Oh, man. He uses a chainsaw? What the hell?” we don’t want the director to respond with, “Well, he got his chainsaw from the old slaughterhouse he used to work at.” There’s nothing terrifying about learning where Freddy Krueger shops for his sweaters.

Instead of that route, Snyder actually chops off any of the rough edges of the source material. The original ends with a bunch of bikers attacking the mall that the heroes are in, which leads to a lot of cool gore effects, but bites the face off of the movie’s sense of pacing. It robs us of the intimate climax that Dawn Of The Dead could’ve built to. Snyder’s version doesn’t have that problem, as it’s a horror/action film from the very beginning. Sure, it’s not as satirical as the original, but it doesn’t need to be. Snyder is not interested in creating a horror film that’s also an allegory. The zombies don’t have to represent anything. They can get by when they’re just being spooky zombies. Constantly reminding me that “The real villain … is man” is the best way to get me to hate both zombies and English teachers.

Sadly, Zack Snyder’s next project would be 300, which had cool action scenes but was the movie equivalent of a guy whispering motivational quotes to himself in the mirror at the gym. And since then, all of his films have either been bloated epics or that thing about warrior owls. It’s a shame. Because when Snyder makes films that aren’t really about anything other than what’s on screen, he shines.

Terrence Malick With Badlands

Terrence Malick is the #1 “Well, I appreciate his work” director in the world. “Well, I appreciate his work” directors are a rare breed, as they’re usually either obsessively loved or “appreciated.” And by “appreciated,” I mean “I know a lot of time probably went into putting all of those pretty colors on screen, so I can’t hate this one too much.” I truly appreciate Terrence Malick, even though his films feel like staring matches with an old computer’s screen saver.

His first film, though, is a refreshing take on a genre that needs all of the fresh takes that it can get. Badlands is a serial killer movie, and the biggest problem with the serial killer subgenre is that very rarely do such films actually make us disgusted with a serial killer. Instead, we marvel as the killer says awesome quips and performs super sweet serial killer melee moves. Silence Of The Lambs is a great movie, but it’s hard to feel bad about a guy who eats other guys when he’s Jason Bourne-ing his way out of police custody. Yeah, the hero should be the person who hasn’t wantonly killed multiple innocent people, but I saw the killer do a double backflip off the diving board once, so my vote is set.

Badlands makes serial killing look really awful. Like, “Dude in front of you doesn’t know how to work the self-checkout lane” awful. It’s the story of a 15-year-old girl who becomes enamored of a 25-year-old man, and then gets swept up in a life of theft, violence, and cross-country travel when he decides to start murdering South Dakota. So we see the killer through her eyes, and as her opinion of him grows sour, any chance that we have of admiring Martin Sheen’s sweet bangs slowly evaporates too. Sheen is a shitty dude in this one. Like, “Friend who doesn’t put your Blu-ray back in its case and instead just lays it bottom-side-down on the floor” shitty.

From the mid ’90s to the present, Roland Emmerich has been a constant source of the loud and mediocre (Independence Day, White House Down, Stargate), the loud and dull (Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012), and the loud and very, very historically inaccurate (The Patriot, 10,000 BC, Anonymous, Stonewall). He is the “Hold my beer” to Michael Bay, and no matter what trends are popular in Hollywood or how financially successful his previous film was, we can always count on Emmerich to deliver something that somehow damages the intellectual standard of the explosion.

Emmerich started as a filmmaker in Germany, and most of the films that he made there are either impossible to find in America or were released years later and just on video. His first American film to receive a theatrical release was Universal Soldier, which features Dolph Lundgren and Jean-Claude Van Damme as soldiers who get resurrected to become … universal soldiers? I’m not sure what the “universal” thing means, but I guess it’s because, now that they’ve been brought back to life, they’re not limited by the earthly definition of “kicking ass.” They can now kick all the ass in the universe. Side note: This theory is remarkably unconfirmed.

For Emmerich, Universal Soldier is amazingly subtle. And that’s not just because Van Damme is given the emotional range of a yam in this film. It’s mostly a big chase movie, and not just the typical Emmerich “Leave nothing in this major American metropolis un-fireballed” fare. Van Damme and his reporter girlfriend stop in a town, Lundgren catches up to them and shouts, Van Damme escapes, and Lundgren responds with more heavily accented shouting. Compared to Emmerich’s other stuff, Universal Soldier is Driving Miss Daisy.

I don’t know if “limiting the scale” is the key to fixing Emmerich, as he doesn’t have much luck in crafting personal tales. So maybe the key is Dolph Lundgren. Maybe Emmerich made a movie that was one big combustion, but Lundgren absorbed it all, and then released that energy by yelling. I’m no professor, but I think the science works out.

Seth MacFarlane With Ted

Seth MacFarlane is a comedy titan. Not satisfied with ruling Fox’s TV animation division, he’s also branched out into movies. And he’s made three so far: Ted, A Million Ways To Die In The West, and Ted 2. Guess how many of those were pretty solid? A hint is hidden in the title of this column.

Ted, the story of Mark Wahlberg and a talking stuffed bear, has some heart in it. There are plenty of movies about dude friends who have problems with each other whenever one of them gets in a serious relationship. They want to drink beer and fart out their dicks, but SHE likes organizing the apartment! Whatever will they do? Ted is still crass, but in centering the conflict around Wahlberg not wanting to abandon a literal stuffed bear, it truly nails home how infantile the whole “bros before respectable type-A females” struggle is. You can still have a fun life and chill with your bear, even if you’re married. And those who don’t understand that are the true dick-farters.

After Ted, MacFarlane made A Million Ways To Die In The West, which most closely resembles those Leslie Nielsen jokes-every-ten-seconds comedies, with the problem being that MacFarlane doesn’t have the warm presence of Nielsen. Nielsen was the comedy genre’s beloved uncle, while as an actor, MacFarlane is still its odd half-cousin. Ted 2 is about teddy bear rights, which expands a few jokes into a two-hour movie. It never ends up being as funny or likable as Ted, and feels like it was made not because MacFarlane wanted to make it, but because a Hollywood executive decided that Ted 2 was their only means of finally getting a third Jacuzzi installed.

Eli Roth With Cabin Fever

I’m always hesitant whenever a horror director says they’re making a homage to a certain era of horror films. This is usually because they let the homage aspects outweigh the actually-being-a-good-movie aspects. “But it’s a homage to ’80s slasher films! It’s not supposed to be a masterpiece!” Yeah, but it’s supposed to be competent and somewhat exciting, instead of a 90-minute declaration that you’ve seen Sleepaway Camp multiple times.

One of the only really good ’80s homages is Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever, which is sort of styled after The Evil Dead, but mostly does its own thing. Now, Cabin Fever isn’t perfect. Eli Roth’s writing would actually peak with Hostel Part II, which is a statement that no man should be forced to make. But Cabin Fever feels less like a guy trying to remind you of how great 1983 was, and more like a guy who’s trying really, really hard to make a fun, gory horror flick. Plus, it manages to pull off some gross-out moments that are sincerely shocking. Even in the age of things like The Human Centipede trilogy, which is edgy middle-schooler humor brought to life, Cabin Fever can still make you feel weird.

Roth’s next film, Hostel, desperately wanted to be like one of the graphic Asian horror films that Roth is a fan of. The biggest difference is that stuff like Takashi Miike’s Audition and Kim Jee-woon’s I Saw The Devil manage to place interesting stories and dynamic characters around their torture setpieces. Roth’s characters are a couple of dumb guys, which is meant to say something about how young American adults kind of treat other countries like playgrounds that they can fuck in, but it mostly comes off as Roth needing characters who explicitly won’t grow or change, because an arc doesn’t really vibe with a drill to the chest.

Roth would later make The Green Inferno, a movie that I saw on opening day because I can’t be trusted with my own money or schedule, and his next movie is a Death Wish remake. Remember that series, the one about Charles Bronson putting bullets in crime and crime-related activities? I don’t know whose idea it was to give that movie to the guy whose most famous scene involves cutting someone’s Achilles tendons, but I feel like it might have been a bad call.
