I would lay down my sword for you. I would change my nature and go against everything i've known. I would resist the easy way out of solving my problems. I would give up the adrenaline of battle to stay by your side and make tea instead. I'm not sure I know who I am without a weapon in my hand because I've had to fight for so long but for you I'm willing to try and figure this out.

It must be hard. To put down your weapon that's protected you for so long. It's allowed you to stay alive it's kept you from getting hurt--physically and mentally. Because you've never had to worry about a real relationship if you think you'll be dead at the next battle. And you feel naked without it and it feels like you're ripping off an extension of yourself. Are you even whole without it? Are you worthy of being loved if you can't prove it by risking your life? And yet they've found someone who's asking them for something much harder than dying in battle on their behalf. They've found someone who wants them to live. And that's much more terrifying.

Maybe the reason Sansa comes off as a meek doormat while she’s married to Tyrion is not because she’s a red pilled tradwife, it’s because she’s scared of getting caught for planning her own escape. It’s established within the first few paragraphs of Tyrion’s pov after the wedding that that’s a terrified 12 year old prisoner of war child bride who’s fooling a whole, grown husband and the entire red keep that she’s a little too devotional and absolutely not plotting her freedom in a fortress full of spies, soldiers and noble powerhouses, that too successfully. She’s not concerned that Tyrion’s peas are overcooked, she’s deliberately trying to put up an act so that her cover isn’t blown. She’s outsmarted Tyrion Lannister of all people, and you can die mad about it.

Many jurdan fans are saying that cardan is the type of man to sit in the sidelines and cheer for Jude while she battles and kills people. I get the idea, but i believe that’s NOT true.

Cardan is the type of man to worry for Jude’s safety and fight ALONGSIDE her. He will literally JUMP into the battlefield with no hesitation to fight and defend his queen. We’ve seen him do it before in TFOTA!! Based on HTKOELTHS and TQON, we have witnessed Cardan make huge sacrifices to ensure Jude's safety. Cardan said it himself that he’s no killer!! those were his morals, but he broke them when Madoc’s guards took Jude away, and he killed a dozen of Madoc’s guards just for HER. In HTKOELTHS, Cardan went ahead to take down an enemy by himself because he feared Jude would sneak out and go alone to fight them. he cares for her so deeply and is willing to confront any danger on her behalf. Cardan knows Jude is strong, ambitious, and clever, but despite that, he still FEARS for her safety!! LIKE HELLO???! CARDAN WILL NOT SIT IN THE SIDELINES AND WATCH HIS WIFE FIGHT ALONE!!! HE WILL FIGHT ALONGSIDE HER!!! STOP OVERLOOKING THAT PART OF CARDAN PLEASEEEEE!!

The issue I’m having with all this discussion with daemon of how the crown is a burden and the price of power is exorbitant (blah blah blah) is that it’s trying to tell us some deep thematic element that simply is non-existent and downright contradicted in the show.

This whole show has been about the right (though it isn’t a right at all) to rule. Of this divine and prophetic purpose that is bestowed upon the heir. An undeniable right that should be wanted and fought for. We are supposed to cheer for Rhaenyra as she desperately fights to gain the power that she “rightfully” deserves. She is the heroine we support in her struggles of being deprived of her purpose and her crown. She WANTS it, so she DESERVES it. That’s what this whole show has been telling us.

And suddenly…we are told that’s not what’s right. The theme of this show is actually that wanting the crown makes you less deserving. The cost of power is too burdensome. Nobody should want this power. You only deserve a crown if you accept it as your burden.

And if that’s the theme we’re supposed to believe… then Long Live King Aegon II (Mr. teary eyes as he approaches the crown himself)

She should have gone in there and declared that her son is now the king regardless of what viserys intended. Alicent has ruled successfully for six years and she has no intention of giving up her position or the chance to have her Son on the throne.

got this reblog on one of my posts were i talked about being anxious about the future of the zelda series after totk and-

i even went back and unblocked them just to check my own post and check twice what they meant exactly- but i still dont know how they got to these conclusions

i never said i 'want a good uwu ganondorf' (bc that would mean hes aligned with hyrule bc thats how goodness works!!!!11!1!!!), i also dont think of any of the zeldas as 'whores' (seriously, where did that come from?? neither me nor the addition of someone agreeing with me said anything like that??? did they think bc the addition called tloz misogynistic means we think zelda is a whore????? huh???)

its also funny how they say they want zelda to stay a simple fairytale rather than have 'people like me' bc .. one point i talked about in the og post was how the evil arab thing VS good white people media likes to do so much is so normalized here that its simply seen as a simple harmless fairytale trope instead of a big underlying issue in general media and the writers might not even realize it (which is worse) bc the most 'generic' appeal is to people who dont think of it as a problem in the first place, because it is so normalized

(ALSO funny they mention princess hilda as nuanced villain ... like ... wow they are so nuanced about purple haired people!!- like guess why we want a nuanced/less badly/less flat written ganondorf and what he, in particular, has not in common with other villains! its not his hair color! .... or was that point supposed to mean .. look we have one female character that is a villain, its not misogynistic! idk honestly)

also funny how its 'never gonna be progressive enough' like asking for the franchise to maybe put a little more thought and nuance into their white divine right vs evil desert man simulator instead of making it worse is already asking too much

(also yes totk is racist, like most if not all of the franchise and a alot of other media as well, shocker- you can still like it though, i and plenty of other people are still fans of it, we just wish they did a little more with their stuff and maybe not make the racism problem WORSE)
