Does anyone else wish there could be a Dahlia/Frosthaven crossover??? Both are so intriguing and amazingly done. Plus David and Asher meeting Caleb and Chester would be hilarious!!! I see both alphas glaring at their pack mates making fun of their alphas. 🐺 🐺🐺🐺 I think Deacon would be more drawn to William because of his age. He’s talked about how he doesn’t like to hang out with ones as young as Vincent or Sam, but he and William may click. 🧛🧛 Then you have the deamons/demons. There are so many more in Redacted’s universe as opposed to Nomads though. I mean Cal and Gavin are both icubi, but they seem pretty different. Maybe Avior? Idk. I just think it would be cool to see some of their interactions!

I'm relistening to the frosthaven storylines and a thought I'm rotating in my mind is this. Caleb, Deacon, and Connor,'s listeners meet the episode these three get together. They get each other's numbers and have an ongoing group chat that can range from

"y'all I just remembered how fucking ANCIENT Deacon is cause of the shit he told me he was there to SEE" Connors listener chiming in with "Mother fucker you would not believe the shit Connor said they both saw live" "this is why I'm mated to the werewolf who's my age..."

"Ok but you did see the way he was looking at you right? It's not just me. Heart eyes right at you!"

"No?"

"Bitch the denial..."

That or them just pitching violent murderous plans cause someone was rude and they all get in on it. Animatedly.

The lads have seen the group chat, once. They live in fear of these three's friend group...

Like, it's a lot of Pack Parent just... being just amazed how old both Deacon and Connor are and amused at how constantly exasperated the three of them are as human partners to supernatural beings.

(Regardless if Little One and Deacon aren't together yet)

Little One is much softer and honestly, while probably capable of murder - they're less likely to jump to it... Being the way they reacted to Deacon even mentioning killing for them.

But.... Hypothetically, they can plan it.

And with their vamp in their life, they have so many more ideas.

Deacon is likely much more amused with it, reading his darling little one, so sweet and so soft... Talking about murder as if they would go through with it is something else. (not him picking on them about it as if he wouldn't eviscerate someone for them 🙄)

Caleb is... Way more turned on about how scary his mate is than he should be. Seriously - the idea of the actual love his life putting some fuckwit in their place just... Does stuff to him. We know the motorcycle and shotgun thing just made him all more wolf-like.

Connor is centuries old but just the descriptors and just the near meticulous planning going on in the chat both amazes and terrifies him. Decapitation is one thing but Den Mom's rather descriptive anecdote about viscera just makes him shiver.

Once again he mentions how little humans mean to him.

You almost take the time to question if he knows what he’s doing, if he knows that he’s silently telling you that you won’t mean anything to him.

“I didn’t exactly mean for you to be put in harm's way, and I didn’t really have a chance to tell them. I know it couldn’t have been a pleasant experience to be under Tobins care but I did what I could to keep you safe Little One”

“Alright it makes sense I guess but I’m allowed to be a little upset after getting kidnapped.” You try to speak in an upbeat tone to hide all of your muddled emotions.

“Not like I mean much to you in the long run.” You’re almost sure no one could’ve heard you

“What are you talking about?”

Fuck. Of course he did curse that damn vampire hearing

“Nothing, it doesn’t mean anything, I'm just rambling to myself.”

If you can just find a way out of this conversation then you don’t have to confirm anything.

“Little One if something’s bothering you-?”

Won’t he just-

“Drop it Deacon. Just… drop it.”

You get up to leave the room, you can make up an excuse later but right now you cannot do this.

“You’re an amazing friend, of course you mean something to me.”

You stop, of course he heard and that was his response, does he even know what he’s saying?

“Mhm.”

Well that was a pathetic response but that doesn’t matter you’re already crossing the room to leave.

Abruptly you feel the air shift in the room as Deacon is now standing in front of you and he’s blocking you from leaving.

Of fucking course.

He can’t just leave you to go listen to sad songs and deal with this by yourself.

“I’m not going to force you to talk but I will remind you that I do care for you.”

Godammit why does he have to do this.

“I believe you but” you can’t help but scoff as you list all the times he sast there and reminded you how little humans, and by proxy you, mean to him.

The world seems to disappear as you slowly migrate further into your thoughts and all your doubts.

“But?”

He’s closer now

When did he get closer

Not if it doesn’t matter to him

“ You mean so much more to me then I’ll ever mean to you.”

The silence is deafening, you dont know if youve ever seen Deacon speechless but here he is. You hoped that you’d cause him to be speechless one day but not like this.

“Its ok you know, I can’t blame you. But you mean so much to me and I won’t mean anything to you in the long run.” You pull out a strained smile in hopes to convince him but it doesn’t seem to be working.

“Little One,” shit the nickname has come out, “what are you talking about?”

You can’t help yourself and before you and think it through you’re talking.

“You care about me as a temporary friend and I get thats all I could be for you, realistically.”

You violently shut your own mouth, you didn’t mean to say, god why did you say that, he knows he definitely knows.

Shit.

The looks of astonishment on his face says enough and you can feel the rejection coming as you quickly try and pretend that you dont’t care, that Deacon doesn’t mean the world to you. But then he starts to talk and you can hear the pity dripping from his voice.

“ I-” you cut him off, you can’t stand to listen to a pity speech.

“Look, its not that serious if I could lose feelings for you I would. But its not that easy. It’s never that easy to let go of feelings you’ve had for someone, anyone, especially you.” You start to choke up. “ I never meant to fall in love with you but here I am and here you are and I am and I’ve been in love with you for a while and I can’t do shit about it.”

Your words are harsh and spew out like venom meant to attack no matter the contents of your sentences. It’s to keep yourself safe and definitely not because of how much he’s hurt you with his words alone.

But his next words do not harm you but simply asks a question one that seems to baffle and confuse him.

“You’re in love with me?”

You can’t handle this and rush out the door with the image of his confused face flashing through your mind.

Could he really never tell?

She loves Ella Fitzgerald's voice, deeming her an angel (in a french accent, this will sound cute idk) and always asks questions to Sole about how they played the instruments, an art that has since become almost extinct after the war. Sole promises one day they'll try and find a guitar and learn the song for her

Danse: One More Tomorrow

This was him and Cutler's song. Back in Rivet City, they shared a flat somewhere in the complex, and they found a record left behind from the previous owner (one of the tiny ones with like two songs on). Other than the Muddy Rudder, there wasn't too much to do, so One More Tomorrow was often played on repeat. Cutler taught him how to dance to this song, and it remains as his favourite because it helps him remember how he used to laugh and smile back when they were younger

Deacon: Sixty Minute Man

100% hears this song come on the radio and proceeds to give Sole the most childish side eye known to man. He knows full well what the songs is about, but always manages to put some stupid spin on the lyrics and has danced his way away from a super mutant suicider to it.

Hancock: I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire

One of the few memories he still recalls from his childhood is him and his mother playing while this songs plays somewhere in the background; it makes him feel happy, though after so much chem abuse, he can't really understand why. He doesn't remember her face, but always imagines her voice singing along with him to every line.

MacCready: The Wanderer

Absolutely vibes with it, and though he hasn't been around with as many women as the song details, he's been roaming the wastes all his life. He's not quite ready to settle down because he's still trying to recover from Lucy's loss, and The Wanderer speaks to him and his nomadic spirit, letting him know it's okay that things turned out this way.

Valentine: The End of the World

one of his pre-war favourites inherited from his namesake, who attended ballroom dances with Jennifer every Tuesday evening; they loved the slow sway of this song, and even now Nick can't seem to shake the urge to turn it right up from Sole's Pip-Boy whenever it comes on. Can be heard humming it if you listen closely enough in Sanctuary

Piper: Personality

She's always been a great judge of character, even since she was a girl, so understandably, personality's pretty important to her. Her and Deacon duet it while travelling/ in a bar and have gotten surprisingly good at harmonies; Shaun's been trying to fix up an old karaoke machine for them so they can grace the whole of Sanctuary with a personal concert.

Preston: Good Rockin' Tonight

his old Minutemen buddies made a whole routine to this song after he told them he liked it; there's a lot of sentimentality attached to it for him, and doesn't hesitate to make new drunken mistakes to the song, if not just for them.

Strong: Butcher Pete

Strong likes Butcher Pete because he eats people. Butcher Pete is one of his number one idols because of this fact

X6: he claims to hate the station and insists that he much prefers the Classical Station, but really, he secretly loves Pistol Packin' Mama. How does Sole figure this out? They walk in to see him bobbing his head along with the music and singing the odd chorus while he mods his rifle. Most embarrassing moment of his life, but hilarious for the rest of Sanctuary.

They do as Miriam commands, waiting there, and as Lola squirms and fights they consider offering to help with their webbing, but they’re caught off guard, tensing as Lola shrieks at them. “I had to! That mushroom could’ve made her really sick or worse, as you’re clearly experiencing now,” the spiderling points out. “This is just retribution for your own poor choice, nobody deserves to be hurt or sick like this, so you shouldn’t have tried to inflict it on somebody else.” They say, folding their arms.

Lola scoffed at that. Then Miriam dropped her legs, but at this point Lola was too weak from the poisoning and expending too much energy thrashing around to make any meaningful escape.

The priestess put her hands on her hips and turned to Shamura. “Wait, wait. Let me get this all straightened out. Lola put the mushroom in my borscht. And instead of you simply alerting me, you switched the bowls. Thus violently poisoning our deacon and wasting Gloria’s work?”

Miriam’s eye narrowed before it upturned into a slight smirk. “And here I thought you were nothing but a goody-two-shoes. Perhaps we’re rubbing off on you.”

Lola screamed and used her remaining energy to pound her fists on the ground. “NO!! DON’T BE IMPRESSED!!” She then pointed up at Shamura. “I thought you were going to be my prank pal, but no. Mark my words, Shamrat, you’ve made a powerful enemy! The fierce! Lo-”

Lola began coughing violently. Miriam sighed and stooped down to scoop her into her arms. She gently placed her hand on Lola’s face and whispered a string of foreign words— a curse. Lola slowly went quiet and motionless before conking out. 

The priestess stood up with the deacon in her arms. “C’mon. Let’s get her to Gloria. And please don’t worry too much about her either. She’ll be fine and her threat was hollow.”

sorry to bother but I'm planning to binge watch nomads tales and audios channel but I don't know in what order I should (especially since I started the knight one and everyone in the comments were saying how the tie up with the other playlists)

I've already watched Mitch nArthur's audios

so ,what I'm asking is a (canon?) order to listen to them

Hello!

So. Nomad has a lot of side stories that may or may not attach to one another. Mitch is definitely mostly in his own world (same world as The Dragon and the Doctor tho). Arthur’s probably in his own world.

But my biggest issue with Nomad is that the man doesn’t organize worth a damn. Like I would love to listen to his Villain series but it’s not in a playlist and YT cuts off the titles so I can’t see where it starts. Even Treyvalion (a major character) doesn’t have a playlist. So it’s hard to start

Nomad’s main channel draw, though, the Frosthaven series, thankfully has playlists for the four biggest players.

Definitely start with Caleb. (The Werewolf Saga) That’s where the series started and that’s where most of the worldbuilding and exposition is. Also Caleb is just great in general.

I would say after that you can choose either Connor (The Dullahan’s Chronicle) or Chester (Were-Chester-Wolf Gaming) if you love the idea of a Gen Z werewolf streamer (also real talk Chester is absolutely hilarious. Connor is too).

Whichever one you choose, do the other one after that.

Then go for Deacon (The Vampire’s Waltz). He’s great too. I just think the others draw in the attention more

Then I’d say just search “Nomad’s Tales Treyvalion” because Trey doesn’t have a playlist but he’s still important and Nomad is good at putting the names of his characters in the titles so they can be searched. Just find the oldest ones and go up to the most recent. Trey is great. I don’t drink coffee and I learned a lot about it from him 👍 also his listener is dope and relevant to the overarching story

However!!!

When you get to A Moonlit Meeting on all of them (except Chester and Treyvalion since they wasn’t there for that one—theirs are The Search Continues and one of the Latin titled later ones), pause and switch to the beginning of a new character. A Moonlit Meeting is where all the characters and their stories start to heavily converge and having the context of all the characters will help a ton

Once you’ve listened to them all up until that point, you can carry on with the rest of their playlists. The same videos will appear on most of them for the most part from that point. And that’s basically a season finale and the season 2s for each character continue
