So I literally woke up and came downstairs to make this set of patches. @urbanprole is in the middle of like 3 other projects so these will get test-stitched and photographed when she has a hot minute, but like.

They're about 3" x 3" so you can stack up flags on your arm, backpack, w/e.

(The colors look a little wonky bc it's just a mockup for the embroidery machine, and the way it displays colors has only a passing resemblance to how those colors will look stitched out.)

All the Sloths (Non-binary Flag) - Pride Sloths

I think I've nailed down getting the stripes about even by eye at this point - which is good because there's still like… a dozen flags to go.

It wouldn’t be a Duck Prints Press crowdfunding campaign if we didn’t have super cool merchandise to accompany our spectacular anthology of outside-the-binary characters exploring aetherpunk worlds, Aether Beyond the Binary. Regarding Lightfall…(spoilers).

My first opinions on this recent expansion for destiny were positive to say the least. Apart from the story, we got representation with Nimbus being Non binary.

I understand people are upset with more unanswered questions. Really, I do. I agree that the veil needed to be explained a bit more, but we still have a raid to come AND two dungeons! People I’ve personally talked to are saying that they won’t be buying Final Shape just because they hated lightfall that much.

We have the rest of this season, plus 3 more. The raid and the dungeons, as well.

I fully enjoyed strand and the training montage. I wish it was given to us sooner but we had it for pretty much the entirety of the final encounter of that last mission. I wish they mentioned the pooka fish more than just the pond, but If I remember correctly you get explanation for them in the collectors edition lore books.

As for Rohan, do you hunters not remember almost five years ago when we stood in nimbus’ spot, watching our beloved hunter vanguard die? And i know it wasn’t just hunters who got affected by Cayde’s death. Don’t you remember how we didn’t stop at nothing to stop Uldren?! Just because Nimbus doesn’t wail and sob over the loss of his mentor doesn’t mean it didn’t effect them. Not only that, Rohan was closer to the end of his 10 years as a cloud-strider. Nimbus was already prepared for his death, they just weren’t expecting it so soon. Remember what you experienced and put yourself in their shoes, guardians. Nimbus is just doing their job because they have to. You can tell Nimbus is struggling with the loss of their mentor when you do the quest post campaign.

This expansion was also not marketed as “time to take down the witness!1!!1!!” It was marketed as “the start of our end” or something like that. It is the START. To the end. We are preparing for our endgame, the final shape. Not only did we expect to lose, we excepted to use Lightfall as a moment to get stronger, and prepare for the end. Hence the strand training.

In short, I enjoyed the campaign. I’ll open asks for a bit so we can discuss this more, but I am prepared for answers to come with seasonal story + raid/dungeon content.
