So I literally woke up and came downstairs to make this set of patches. @urbanprole is in the middle of like 3 other projects so these will get test-stitched and photographed when she has a hot minute, but like.

They're about 3" x 3" so you can stack up flags on your arm, backpack, w/e.

(The colors look a little wonky bc it's just a mockup for the embroidery machine, and the way it displays colors has only a passing resemblance to how those colors will look stitched out.)

Just a small reminder for folks who make Pride artwork, the white in the transgender pride flag created by Monica Helms has an important meaning. "The stripe in the middle is white, for those who are intersex, transitioning or consider themselves having a neutral or undefined gender."

It might seem like a small thing, but when you make your transgender art only pink and blue you're accidentally leaving some of us out.

BALDUR'S GATE 3 || CANONICALLY TRANSGENDER CHARACTERS

Canonically confirmed transgender characters from Baldur's Gate 3! :) I'm pretty sure Haarlep is non-binary since they are mostly referred to as they/them pronouns and can change into any form, whether it be masculine or feminine.

Iris: Well.. since you all were kind enough to make me a lovely cake last year for pride, figured Thundy and I would make you a little cake to celebrate you this time~

Thunderhawk: Iris brought up how awesome it was that we were becoming more comfortable in our own sense of identity and how wonderful it was to celebrate that. 

Considering that you made such an important discovery about yourself along the way we wanted to celebrate that, and what a better way to celebrate than making you a cake! -He smiles at his grandfather- we just know how much you looove cake!~

All the Sloths (Non-binary Flag) - Pride Sloths

I think I've nailed down getting the stripes about even by eye at this point - which is good because there's still like… a dozen flags to go.

Happy Pride; Eldarion (Charlie) Edition

"A rare interview with Eldarion, the person behind Charlie. It’s refreshing to not be talking about my work, and Pride month is dear to me.

It’s easy to get distracted by the myths people still believe about trans and non-binary people. And yes, people still get wound up over what you have in your pants and boil a whole person’s being, heart, soul into what genitals they have! It’s so dehumanising to not be seen as the whole person, or to be told that I'm somehow wrong or unable to know what gender I am. People can get so weird about when I have hair on my body or have a hint of stubble. Or my voice! They seem to expect this perfect figure of androgyny when they hear I'm non-binary.

It’s the same when people see me and my partner, Valerian. People think as we’re both pansexual we’re going to end up cheating on each other. Worse is that people think that my sexuality is just because of my work. No, it’s because my love has no limits. And I love Valerian. My gorgeous lionheart.

Pride remains to show that we’re more than that. We are the colour, the love, beauty and limitless creativity in all people. And we need that so much in this city."

This one was actually difficult to write as El has many of the same problems as I do as a non-binary person who looks more like the gender people assumed us to be when we were born. In a way, that's why I made them that way. To remind people that there is no one way to be non-binary and that you "can't tell."
