Due to all the stress from Ladybugging and school and all that, Marinette's hair texture changes and becomes wavy. So her friends are like "omg your hair is so groovy nice styling" and she's like !?!?!?!?!?!!?

I've been doing a lot of picrews and like a good 70% of the time there aren't any good curly hair options for me to make my characters (or myself) and even less black hairstyles to make my black characters, and that got me thinking about how the sims is really bad about this too (or used to be? I haven't kept up with it) and it's just like mannn. character customizations really suck when it comes to textured hair!!! and I've seen the arguement of "it's hard to draw" or "it's hard to model" and it's like okay. on one hand, I understand if something is difficult that person is not obligated to put in a huge amount of effort for it, especially if they're just, making a picrew for fun? but on the other hand it's like okay i think I'm still allowed to think it's annoying and be frustrated there are no options, and that nobody really wants to take the time or put in the effort to learn these skills. yeah it takes effort but why isn't it worth taking the effort? it's art it's not going to be easy all the time. why are you gonna make a dress up game where the options are so limited. idk it's hard to articulate

What’s so funny about the bonnet thing is that y’all are fighting for how it helps all hair types but don’t even know how to use them. The reason black people can throw a bonnet on and it’ll help is bc of fairy knots; like just throwing it on with no kind of product or braiding or laying is to help with smth that can’t even happen to white hair in the same way. Ppl who say bonnets help them and just put it on their head after a ponytail or smth are lying lmao

Freddie and his Sister Isabell (Isabell-Josefine) :D

Frederick is around 19, before he moved to England, and Isabell (also calles Isa or Bella) 9

Frederick learned how to braid hair because his dad found it beneath him to braid his daughter's hair, but Isa oftentimes got her hait tangled up while she was playing with her friends (the "weird" / "wild" girl group)

So, Freddie made it a habit to braid his sister's hair.

And he enjoyed it very much.

So much that he, in fact, offers to braid the hair of his friends with longer hair (like Hamilton) in the camp every morning (and also because he misses his sister)

A small addition:

Freddie got his mother's blond hair and blue eyes and his few freckles are from his dad

Isa got her hair as a combo of her father's flaming red hair and mom's blond hair.

But she got her dad's green eyes and full freckle package :D

Thanks for the tag @maytheratseatureyes! I had a lot of fun with this picrew, so I ended up making three of my characters instead of one, lol!

Top Left: Me! My husband happened to open the picture the other day and was like, "that's you, right?", so I guess it's pretty close, lol! Though my eyes are more gray than blue.

Top Right: Amira Scarlet! She's my Hot/Book Smart MC for Scarlet Hollow. A lawyer who's very annoyed by the horrors. (Canonically she has cat eye glasses, but this picrew didn't have any so we went with the cute hearts.)

Bottom Left: Kyrahlise! She just asked if you want to spar and promised to go easy on you. <- It's a lie, she will not go easy on you.

Bottom Right: Li'Ari! An old D&D character who I didn't get to play much but still love dearly. My grumpy-with-a-heart-of-gold lesbian druid. Some dude just told her to smile, so she's giving him the middle finger.

Think the only stuff I’m scared about going on T is things to do with head hair. I can deal with excessive sweating, thicker skin and body hair, and I’m not even concerned about my voice becoming “too deep” anymore because then I can finally sing male country songs properly. MPB and receding hairline though? Fuck no I need my thick shaggy hair. Also I heard some people’s hair texture changes, if mine stays the same or becomes dead straight I’d be happy but I would actually cry if it got wavier/curly, I don’t need that in my life. It would look awful on me and it’d be so much more of a hassle to deal with, I get frustrated at my current mildly wavy hair already. Hopefully that won’t happen because the men on both sides of my family have thick slightly wavy/straight hair with decent hairlines so I’m PRAYING I get their genes, specifically my dad’s side because their hair is immaculate, even well into their 70s. My dad’s nearly 50 and has barely any grey hairs and a full head of hair. No MPB or receding on his side. Like at all. Even on my mum’s side my grandpa had most of his hair in his 80s albeit with a somewhat receded hairline. I take way more after my dad than my mum though and look almost exactly like him when he was around my age anyway so I’m praying I look more like him when I’m his age, but I have no idea how T’s going to affect my hair and that’s genuinely the scariest part about it for me 💀

1 and 2: ink sketches for the 'OC and symbolism' thingy. Am I making everything more complex than it needs to be? Probably :>

3: old-ish Gwydion (m!Hawke) sketch that I'm trying to paint with a new method. I'm cautiously hopeful about the whole thing. The blue highlights are not a random choice *wink*

4: I had a lot of blue gouache so I randomly painted Isabela - I'm not convinced so I'll probably repaint the whole thing, but I really like that ink sketch in the corner... so I'm showing that instead.
