If WRH's sons were alive, I can do totally see him trying to matchmake them with MY. He would see how WX and MY both were single and decide it was absolutely ludicrous that two people of importance to him were not married.
Oooh the possibilities!!
I mean, following that logic, yeah, if the sons had survived, I think WRH would have immediately decided that MY was going to one of them to keep all that precious talent and brains in the family (although I remember some conversations about him and WQ, which is a more realistic situation, but you know).
MY is very furen shaped, so he would naturally go to WX bc that's one little guy WRH can trust with helping run the sect properly once his son takes over, so then MY would legit be a kindasorta son to him too. I also think that WRH appreciates MY too much to pair him with WC :').
Also that's one hella safe and politically important position, so I can see MY having no issues with the arrangement.
I will forever mourn the lack of any significant information about WX (not even an official design), but I suppose that also plays in the favor of whoever wants to explore him, so he can be whatever the AU needs and we can say that he too would agree lol.

I'm sure there are Criston Cole fans, and that's totally okay!! (don't keep reading this post though lol) but personally, whenever he shows up on screen, I'm like this
Tumblr media
I do not like this man, he's always given me incel vibes, like he doesnt know how to take responsibility for his own actions, and tends to blame the woman in his life instead. Its not his own fault for sleeping with Rhaenyra, she forced him, and she's also the evil one for refusing to drop her whole life and duty to her family, to go run off with him. He's unrealistic and never stopped to ask Rhaenyra what she wanted and what her plans were for the future, he just assumed that they would get married, the only thing that mattered was that he'd get to absolve his sins. He continues to lose his temper, and has killed innocent people as a result. He breaks his vows, and then proceeds to accept roles and positions that require certain honor and skill that he knows deep down he's simply not qualified for. He is unfair to Rhaenyra's kids when they were younger and helped train Alicent's kids instead, showing he is a bitter and vengeful person, not caring who gets caught in the crossfire as long as he gets a good shot in. Even when he decided to kill himself in season 1, sure, he felt guilty for breaking his vows, and thought suicide was the only way to atone for that sin now that marriage was out of the picture, but he stopped when yet again, another woman "saved" him, another woman he can latch onto and then resent when they cannot be everything he needs them to be (not to mention, his sudden suicide after their fight would have been incredibly selfish/cruel to Rhaenyra who would have been riddled with guilt for who knows how long). He has no real agency over his life and actions otherwise, hell, he wasnt even the one that decided he should continue to live, he needed Alicent to do that for him, he doesnt make his own way through the world, he follows orders, and then acts like he had no part in it when things go wrong. He doesn't have a real identity outside of the cloak/pin that he wears, and the women that he beds, yes, he's a flawed character like everyone else in the show, but, what bothers me about him most, is not that he kinda sucks, its because he sucks while also acting like he is above it all, that he's better than everyone else, when really he's just a weak child, looking for love and reassurance, a child that becomes dangerous and hateful when he doesn't get what he wants, i just can't respect a character like this.

Not me making the umpteenth post about this very panel, but, bc I have only so much to go by here ;_; this panel has some funny underlying subtext because at the first glance, this seems like a very normal, very formal conversation between two people who are more or less strangers but--
Tumblr media
1.] Break knows her name now?
interesting that Break addresses her as Miss Lottie here, and not little miss (flirty (derogatory)) like in the Sablier arc.
so, my guess is that he really did not know her name then, because he simply followed Oz (eye of the cyclone lmao) hoping to find some Baskervilles targeting him as they did in the Lutwidge. In fact, Oz himself wanted to do the same, put himself out there as bait for the Baskervilles before deciding to venture into Sablier.
Tumblr media
(Funny how Break shoots down Oz's idea of meeting the Baskervilles with the excuse that they might be following absolute orders and hence, useless to negotiate with. and then..... proceeds to do the same lol)
[more under the cut cuz I can't shut up about these two lol]
Also, in the same chapter, Oz lets slip Zwei's name in their conversation which Break silently registers--
Tumblr media
all in all, the most names among the Baskervilles he would have known by the time of Sablier arc is Zwei's.
meaning, after returning from his meet-cute meeting with Lottie, he must have set about trying to find out her name. Since they don't have internet in those times, only way to get information is to manually dig around.
but... of course, that is not possible just like that, right? Break cannot ask around a Baskerville's name without raising a bunch of questions, facing trouble from the Pandora (which is why he even hid the Intention's desire from them), ntm, nobody even knew any of the Baskervilles, much less their names.
Well, nobody except Oz. Oz did get to meet the Baskervilles and see and hear them interacting. during which time, Fang and Doug did call out Lottie's name a bunch of times. so obvs Oz should know her name. however, it's up in the air whether he would remember, rather want to remember the name of the girl who stomped all over his chest?
so this means Break really went that extra mile to manipulate this information out of Oz without rousing his suspicions. Oz is too smart for his own good, mind you. The slightest misstep, he is going to figure out what Break was planning:
Tumblr media
and from this panel, it appears he didn't want anyone (including Oz and Gil) to know what he had been planning with the Baskervilles. and now even we, the readers, will never know lol
He must have asked Oz to recount his experiences from Lutwidge for him again and got him to slip up her name, the way Oz did for Zwei. Sneaky, so sneaky!
sooooo, while everyone was busy putting together two and two about the Tragedy of Sablier and whatnot, Break here was trying to squeeze out the name of the girl he met in a dungeon someday before he went fully blind (he was fated to see her just once, he can never see her again.) lmaooo what kind of shoujo manga plot was he playing out here?
2.] Lottie expected to meet him again?
This is a little more obvious but funny (to me) nevertheless. when Break puts his sword at her throat, Lottie doesn't even blink or get startled, merely sighs and goes: oh yeah I was wondering why the hell you didn't show up?
But for some reason I felt you'd show your face here.
So, I don't think she means Break making an appearance at Yura's party. That's way too obvious. Rainsworths, and by extension, Break their important valet, are invited and are going to be present here.
No, this means she had a feeling Break would slip out of there and come out here to have a tête-à-tête with her which is just... ??? How was she so sure? Was she looking forward to it? Waiting for him to write her a letter to her hiding place in Sablier or something? Waiting for him to come there just as her lion knocked down Yura? She wasn't in the least fazed! just goes, oh yeah I was waiting for you >_>
Because logically, Break surely went radio silent the whole of the month(?), right? Owing to his untimely blindness, whatever plans he might have had for her also must have cut off. Unless he got help from another person which he didn't seem to want, esp. not in this case, which, for whatever reason, he wanted to keep a complete secret. And in spite of this radio silence, Lottie doesn't think he was bluffing or stood her up at Sablier. She actually seems quite prepared to meet him here? I wonder how many times she turned the scenario over and over in her mind since they met and parted, and got more irritated what the hell did he mean and if he did mean something, why can't he contact her again?
because, the very first thing she demands of him is an explanation of what he meant by his words at Sablier
and surprisingly, this.... surprises him? at least enough to sheathe his sword and start talking properly to her??? (a huge thing bc Break never gives a straight answer; he is always talking in riddles and annoying everyone on purpose)

Hello.
What is your headcanon about the relation between Kakashi and The Elders ? (i like how it sound like the name of a horror movie)
I have this headcanon that they choose to socially condamn his father, and did it to avoid other people to not following orders/taking "too much liberties".
That Kakashi always kept an eye on them during his reign, even if he show (basic) respect.
You know, I do think that they had a hand in Sakumo's death too, he failed the mission and was disgraced by everyone even the friends he saved, that's what canon said without giving us much details but it also says that the consequences for abandoning his mission was bad enough that he fell prey to depression and then killed himself so you can't convince me that the leaders at the time (Danzo and the elders) didn't punish him for abandoning his mission, that they handpicked him for because it was that important to the village, at the very least they must have stripped him of his ranks and the Hokage "Hiruzen" must have reacted the same way he always did when Danzo and the elders decided something, he didn't actually approve their decision but he didn't object to it either and so he let them do as they pleased.
And judging by Kakashi's encounters with the elders that we've seen in canon, like, he never disrespected them but he never respected them either, like.. he'd let them talk and talk and object as much as they wanted and say everything they want to say and he's not going to argue with them and then he'd simply proceeds and does the complete opposite of what they just spent the last 2 hours blabbing about lol because you can't convince me that they didn't scream their heads off when he decided to disband ROOT or when he enacted the "No-kill" law and asked Iruka to teach them how to knock their enemies out gently without hurting them.

I'm curious about 4. and 16. for the choose violence ask!
Sure thing! Since you didn’t specify a fandom, let’s go through them all. ^-^
Under the cut for both length and spoilers for some of the fandoms. lol Proceed with caution as always.
4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?
Bungou Stray Dogs fandom: Well, I’ve blocked about seven different people in this fandom, actually; for the first five, it was because they were a group of five haters who, by their own self-admission, instead of blocking or avoiding me for the sake of their own mental health when they found my content uncomfortable, continued to keep me unblocked and even actively seek out my page just so they could get angry/upset and then send me harassment in asks and/or vague post about how much they hated me.
Personally, I didn’t care all that much about the vagueposting; as I’ve said in the past, I actually kind of find hate motivational and fueling for my creative fire from time to time, but it was clear that it was getting very unhealthy for them, and since they hadn’t the sense to do it themselves, I simply blocked them from my own end so that they couldn’t see me anymore.
For one of the other two, they just had the worst fucking takes in the world, and their content kept somehow getting recommended to me as being “based on my likes” despite that I had never liked anything similar (or even anything from them), and since I found it to be headache-inducingly bad — and not even in an entertaining way, either — I simply blocked them.
And for the last one, they actually used to be a friend of mine, but they unfortunately seemed to have fallen down into a toxic rabbit hole since our last interaction years ago, and eventually came back and started accusing a close friend (and me, purely by association) of terrible shit for absolutely no reason, so I blocked them. I really do wish them well and that they come back around to their senses someday and realize the error of throwing accusations around simply because you’re still bitter over a breakup, but seeing as that’s unlikely, I’ll spare myself the trouble and just keep them blocked.
Legend of Zelda fandom: I said in a previous post where I listed out answers to all of the questions for this fandom that I’ve never blocked anyone in the Zelda fandom for fandom-related reasons, and that’s true, but I did block someone in this fandom once, for other reasons.
It’s a little bit of a long story, but to put it simply, there was this guy who had been stalking my now ex-girlfriend (mtf, tho she hadn’t come out as trans yet at the time while we were in the relationship) and had created a sock puppet account on a large Zelda forum we were on in order to find out information about me.
The story actually runs a lot deeper than just being a cut-and-dried “oh, he was a creepy stalker who had bad intent” situation — there’s a lot of nuance involved that would take quite a while to dig into and explain — but as I don’t really feel like getting into the whole tale right now, I’ll just leave it at that even tho the guy came clean to me out of guilt shortly after creating the account, it was my ex’s firm insistence that I block him, and so I did as she asked with it. And that was that.
Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel fandom: I’ve never blocked anyone from this fandom, but God has it been tempting sometimes… Thankfully, I don’t follow any blogs that make me feel like that, but if someone’s annoying ass bad takes ever start continually appearing on my recommended like they did with BSD, believe you me I’mma start blocking faster than the speed of light.
Other fandoms: I’ve never blocked anyone in any other fandoms, actually, and I can’t say I really have any active reason to at the moment, as most of them seem chill enough to not be an active and rampant threat unless you go looking for them.
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Bungou Stray Dogs fandom: … sighs …We’re really doing this, aren’t we? Okay. Listen, I want to start this out by saying that I am a huge advocate for AUs and personal canons and ships and whatever else out there in the fictional world that you can imagine — go ham, have fun with it.
That being said, I will never in my life understand the appeal a very specific portion of the fandom finds in the concept that Arthur Rimbaud/Randou is as equally cold, unhinged, and detached as Paul Verlaine — often to the point where people genuinely allow that AU headcanon to skew their view of canon and convince themselves that it is such, when nothing could be farther from the truth (and the truth is actually far more unique, deep, and interesting).
Although the block button has largely solved this issue for me these days, my eyes have unfortunately already seen far too many posts of people talking about how a large majority of the fandom “gets Arthur wrong” because they don’t make him and Paul into this unhinged, cold-hearted assassin duo, and frankly, it’s just bullshit.
You can enjoy and/or ignore whatever the fuck you want in a series for your own personal canon and AUs, but don’t delude yourself and lie to others about official canon in the process because you’re pissy that the uppermost levels of official canon don’t represent certain characters the way you’ve imagined them in your head.
For one thing, if everyone around you is supposedly the issue, and even the uppermost levels of official canon themselves in their original language are supposedly the issue….then I hate to say it, but the only person or thing in need of a reality check is probably you.
Arthur was never an assassin; these people out there who are acting like “oh, Arthur being a spy means he must be cold-blooded and must have committed as many murders as Paul has” are insane; despite what certain stories in media will tell you, being a spy does not necessarily have to ever involve murder, and even if it did, Paul could have easily been the one doing the murdering. Is Arthur 100% innocent? Are his hands 100% clean of blood? No! But canonically, the only 1,000% confirmed act of physical harm he has ever committed was the attempted murder of Dazai and Chuuya, and even then he showed significant hesitation, and only committed to doing that so as to both save Paul and to avoid potentially harming significantly more people should assassins have been sent after him. Is it probable he may have killed people during the faked Arahabaki incident? Yes. Is it probable he may have either directly or indirectly killed at least a small number people while either working as a spy or as a mafioso? Yes. But is it confirmed? No. There is nothing at all that directly, explicitly confirms he himself has ever killed anyone at his own hands. It is likely that he has, but unless it is ever directly stated that he did, it is still technically not canon and thus 100% up for interpretation based on what you would like to believe about him. Until we know otherwise, he could have killed as few or as many people as you so desire.
However, what is not up for interpretation when it comes to official canon is that if these murders did occur, they were absolutely not done in cold blood. True canon — the original JP light novel(s), and, second to that in the canon hierarchy, the original JP Stage Plays — have gone far out of their way to express that Arthur is the farthest thing from a cold, emotionless killer. Despite how some would like to believe, Paul is not his “one exception”; Arthur cares about the lives of literally everyone and feels deep, intense remorse and hesitance over the idea of harm coming to literally everyone. If you think this man is “cold-hearted”, you have not read the actual canon — you have either watched an adaptation that took some massive liberties and not looked past that, or you have made up a story in your head based on what you would have preferred, and you refuse to accept the validity of anything that disagrees with it.
…Anyhow, yes…while people can absolutely make him such in AUs and personal canon if that’s what they enjoy, it makes me extremely annoyed when people conflate that with canon, and I will never be able to truly understand the appeal of it in general. The idea of two characters who are just “absolutely unhinged, cold blooded assassins who care only about each other” is, in my opinion, far less interesting than, and even downright insulting to, the deep characters that both he and Paul are, and the great narrative foil that the emotional, shy, sensitive, openly caring, and much more mercy-minded and life-valuing Arthur makes to the admittedly unhinged and cold-blooded (but still very much deeper than fandom treats him) Paul.
People can like what they like, but man, it is definitely not for me, and I feel like if that’s the dynamic you’re really looking for, there must be better characters out there to do it with.
Legend of Zelda fandom: See [here].
Doctor Who fandom: I’m sure there is something, but I honestly can’t think of it at this moment in time. Most of what’s enjoyed even vaguely popularly in this massive fandom is…pretty alright by me, honestly? Or at least understandable.
Ace Attorney fandom: Honestly, I have more to say on what this fandom doesn’t like than what it does, so we’ll skip over this one for now. If I think of something later, I’ll amend it.
Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel fandom: The idea that Stolas is a bad father and an equally bad person to Stella. Also that everyone in Hell must be bad in some way.
Final Fantasy fandom: …Final Fantasy VIII. Don’t get me wrong — I don’t think it’s a bad game by any means, or even a bad Final Fantasy game; I just don’t think that comparatively to some of the actually (in my opinion) amazing games that get way more shit from than they deserve, it’s really that much to write home about.
I think that it had a ton of great ideas going for it, but that a lot of those ideas got lost along the way in the quest to explore other ones — which ultimately led to the vast majority of them just barely getting touched on at all. And, of course, there’s a big major plothole where the main character gets absolutely fatally impaled by the main antagonist and then it just…basically doesn’t even get addressed at all? Also, all of the main characters sharing the exact same backstory and then just having conveniently forgotten about it was…deeply underwhelming and felt a bit lazy, to be honest.
And…yeah… I liked some of the characters a ton, and I enjoyed some of the plot points, but I definitely can’t understand why it’s hailed as being so great compared to certain others that are just…objectively actually more solid and well-written.
Pikmin fandom: I wanted to try to be as absolutely thorough as possible in listing out any of the series that I love and have actively participated in the fandom of (whether that be going out of my way to interact with fan content for it or making my own, or both), but honestly, I haven’t been around the fandom of this one quite enough to know if there are any popular takes or favorites out there that I’d strongly disagree with, or of which I’d particularly question the appeal.
Xenoblade Chronicles fandom: I know this is probably going to piss off a lot of people out there, but honestly, both Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade 3 — but for opposite reasons, and with the DLC games notwithstanding for both of them, as I have few complaints with either of those.
I understand why people love Xenoblade 2 as a story on the whole — even if I think the first five chapters are largely very weak with only a few highlights and far too much filler and have terrible pacing — because the last five chapters just make every bit of the initial drudgery worthwhile, but I what I cannot and will never understand are the people who think the gameplay is somehow anywhere even close to good — much less god tier. Genuinely, there are not a lot of games I would call worse and less user friendly gameplay-wise in the modern era than Xenoblade 2; as a matter of fact, there is so much wrong with it that I can’t even begin to unpack all of the problems here, except to try to just lump it all together and put it very simply by saying that a fully paid-for, full price game absolutely should not entirely rely upon you having good luck in an absurdly rigged, file-dependant rng pity-system-granting uncheatable gacha system in order to progress the main plot, and even still make you sit through hours waiting for the skills to unlock on those characters that you have to be lucky enough to get good RNG assigned to your file to even get a halfway decent chance to get through further, still absurdly rigged RNG.
Normally, I would say how good a game is or isn’t is just a matter of personal opinion and what one is looking for, but legitimately, if you see no problem with this game’s gameplay and view it as something that should be defended, then you either got the best possible RNG in the world and played the game at such an absurdly slow pace that you somehow never even encountered one instance where skill unlocking slowed you down from progressing the plot, or you are just the biggest simp in the world for this game and you’re lying because you just can’t stand the idea of not defending every single aspect of this game even if you know for a fact that part of it is awful and inexcusable.
And as Xenoblade 3, that game has the opposite problem; whereas Xenoblade 2 had an overall amazing story the farther you progress with terrible gameplay, Xenoblade 3 has overall amazing gameplay with a (for the franchise) absolutely weak story that just completely drops the ball at the end. Thankfully, just as Torna: The Golden Country largely improved on the gameplay of Xenoblade 2 with its release, Future Redeemed largely improves and even fixes and, dare I say redeems, the story of Xenoblade 3 (even if it does make it feel a bit redundant in some aspects)…but…that doesn’t excuse the game being weak initially to begin with compared to its predecessors, and I truly cant understand what all the hype for it was before the DLC released, as at the time I only found it a massive disappointment in all of the worst ways considering its series’ strong reputation for cut-above storytelling and incredible foreshadowing.
Also…in regards to Xenoblade 1…I don’t understand the appeal of Shulk and Melia as a mutually required ship — I’m sorry; if you love it, that’s 100% valid and I hope you have fun with it, but like…I just see zero romantic chemistry between them on Shulk’s side; I honestly see more chemistry potential between Fiora and Melia and that isn’t even canon on any level. I really think Melia is just best narratively having a one-sided interest in Shulk; anything else has always just felt forced to me.
Pokémon fandom: This is one of those fandoms where I have more of a problem with the dislikes than the likes, but I guess as with most games, I don’t really see the appeal of a truly open world; Scarlet and Violet pulled it off alright, but it wasn’t entirely open, and even then it had the typical issues of limiting storytelling ability through lack of any linearity at many points. I know many people are going to say “oh, but Pokémon has very rarely had a super deep story; it’s pretty much only a select few of the middle and more recent gens that did this”, and that may be true, but…why should we have to go back from that?
People use this excuse with many older games that have had a long series — that because their first iterations “weren’t that deep”, it’s somehow the natural and most acceptable course of action to go back to those roots, even if they’ve come very far from that over the years, and to me it’s just absurd. It’s like saying that we should go back to using outhouses because that is the purest form of using a bathroom and it was the way bathrooms were always meant and intended to be used; as we get more advanced in technology, we are naturally going to progress and do more that once could only have been a dream to us before. All old games weren’t necessarily lacking story because they “didn’t want to do anything more”, but because they didn’t have those capabilities. 2D games weren’t all 2D because no one wanted them to ever be seen in 3D, but because 3D wasn’t possible yet.
I will never understand the desire to backtrack on progress made simply because “that’s how it was back in the day”.
…Also, as far as the anime, I get that the idea of Ash growing up would’ve been cool and all, but like…I seriously don’t understand why it’s that big of a deal to people. Ash staying in a form that’s iconic is hardly surprising or beyond understanding, and really I would’ve cared more to see Ash grow emotionally from all of his journeys than physically, but eh. To each their own.
Super Mario fandom: The OoC situation that happened with Princess Peach at the end of Super Mario Odyssey. Straight up, I will say that I’ve never played the game, but from what I have heard (and please do correct me if I’m wrong!!!), Peach straight up rejects both Bowser and Mario from marrying her at the end, and like…for some reason everyone thinks this is some cool girl power moment instead of realizing that this, while maybe a cool message had it been any other character with any other two pushy suitors, is…actually deeply out of character for her.
It wouldn’t be so incredibly OoC if it weren’t for the fact that in all previous Mario games, Peach has been explicitly in love with Mario and very, very happy to be with him and be very romantic with him every time he’s rescued her, and he’s always been a gentleman to her, too, so like…the whole thing just sounds really off to me and I’m not sure why not many people are bothered by this like I am.
Maybe I just don’t have the context everyone else does. I don’t know.
Persona fandom: …Persona 5; don’t get me wrong, I actually enjoyed the story of this one quite a bit and I think it had great foreshadowing, but like…at least comparatively to 3, I don’t know why it seems to be “the baby” of the fandom. As a story, 3 is just so much more compelling and emotionally high stakes, with a lot more actual deaths and consequences and, frankly, more interesting twists and characters on the whole, and that’s all I’m going to say on that…for now.
Persona 5 was…pretty alright; Persona 3 was stellar.
Makai Ouji fandom: Pretty much the same situation as Pikmin here; while I’ve technically been in this fandom for at least 7 or 8 years, I…don’t really have enough active interaction with the greater fandom to know if there are any popular opinions or ideas I’d disagree with.
There are some fandoms that I just…don’t really have the drive to engage with that much outside of the source material, and this is one of them. Sometimes you feel called to engage with and observe the larger fan base and its creations, and sometimes you just don’t; this is one of the latter times.
Person of Interest fandom: I’m just gonna say it — Shoot. I know it’s canon, but honestly, that pairing felt so fucking forced — and I don’t mean forced as in “oh, they need to stop shoving gay relationships down our throats” like you’d expect to hear from some bigot or something, I mean forced as in they weren’t compatible, there was no chemistry, and literally no strong lead-up to the relationship whatsoever. One day the Machine was just like “oh I predict a possible timeline where you two get together” and then suddenly that one hypothetical possible scenario was enough for them to actually get together after an eternity of hating each other and torturing each other and literally trying to kill each other.
I think the pairing sucks and it felt terribly shoehorned at the very end of the show, when there were a million better options out there for the both of them, and then within like two episodes they killed one of them off anyway.
If anyone reading this likes it, then good on you, but personally I will just never understand the appeal of it.
Code Vein fandom: Honestly, the same situation as Pikmin and Makai Ouji here. I love the game dearly and I definitely consider myself a member of the fandom, but also I’ve never truly interacted with the rest of the fandom enough longterm to pick up on any grievances I might normally have about it; what little I have seen of the fandom, they’re very nice and chill people who really enjoy character creation mode, and pretty much that’s all I know of them.
Five Nights at Freddy’s fandom: Damn, I guess this is how I come out about being this one after years of silence, huh…
Oh well… I’m sure there are actually many things I could be talking about here if I put my mind to it lol, but I’ll probably just go with the fact that wayyyy too many people are comfortable and content with just writing off Gregory as evil or cold-blooded, when Ruin made it pretty damn clear that the Mimic was the one who made Cassie take the plunge in the elevator, and not him.
This fandom has a lot of wildly incorrect theories, though.
…Also, I don’t really understand the appeal of wanting to fuck the animatronics, but meh, maybe they’re just not humanoid enough for me. *shrugs* I like my anthropomorphic animals to have a massive dash of humanoidness to them and these guys just…don’t. Also they’re inherently super spooky and I’m not usually about that life.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE fandom: Dude, we’re seriously a fandom of like literally 5 people across the entire internet; we ain’t big enough of a fandom to have problems amongst ourselves about popular takes. A take from one single person could be considered popular here. …But really, we all seem pretty cool from what I’ve seen.
Fringe fandom: I don’t usually actively engage in this one’s large-scale fandom, either, but when I have…I can’t say I’ve ever seen a take I disagreed with, really; at least not one that’s stood out to me, so…yeah. It’s all good, I guess.
Nier Replicant/Automata fandom: Honestly, we have the same situation here as Pikmin, Makai Ouji, Code Vein, and Fringe. I have no idea about the favoritism or the takes because I don’t really hang out in this fandom in my spare time all that much.
I’m sure there are things I’d take issue with if I searched enough, but what little I’ve seen of it is fine.
Other fandoms: Since I’m sure I’m forgetting quite a few and/or don’t consider myself a big/long/active enough fan to list them here, I’ll just lump all the rest into this category and say, obviously if I have had any interactions that I’ve learned fandom takes or favorites I’ve disagreed with from, they didn’t make a big enough impression to end up on this list, so all things considered, they must not be super bad to me — probably.
Aaaand that’s all of them! Thanks for the ask and happy reading!

I would like the director's cut of Yin's funky little sidetrip in the Fade during HTLA. Please and thank? 💕
Oooo an olde chapter!! "Chapter 60: Oath to Order" That's a weird one. Okay I shall break it down below a cut! 💚
Let's seeee....well, as you well know, the Nightmare's realm/lair was meant to expose everyone's fears. Yin has a lot of fears lol
So kind of a recap: the poor boyo comes to in the very same dungeon as he woke up at the beginning of Inquisition. But there's someone with him - deep of voice and speaking Antivan, though it becomes clear to Yin that it is not the stranger's native tongue. This is intentionally meant to confuse you - who is speaking? Nightmare...or the other entity from the beginning? Regardless of its identity, there is a very meticulous exchange between the Inquisitor and the Presence. It's trying to get something from Yin, but as it goes with spirits and mortals, both parties must be consenting. For an ancient entity deceiving mortals, this should be no issue.
And it isn't. It gets what it wants almost right away, throwing a red herring later in the conversation. It's so stupid and so simple,
"Allow me to pay you a small kindness. May I help you?"
I liked the idea of it latching onto Yin like this, a seemingly harmless gesture to literally help him sit up. The rest of what follows is just...this entity playing with him because it has already gotten its in.
“I could help you.” < now it's just mocking Yin. Lol gotcha silly elf.
❗[[SPOILERS(?)]]❗: Very quickly it begins to exert its influence on Yin's spirit, searching for seeds of weakness within where it can begin nurturing them. This would be Yin's anger, his fear, and other strong emotions. It's not the strongest influence, it's subtle because this creature is clever and ancient, and it's enough to set Yin on the deteriorating path seen thereafter.
You might wonder why this thing acts like it wants to help him but then proceeds to torment him. Stay tuned 😂
I won't spoil too much more yet, because we're actually going to dissect an aspect of Yin's nightmare in a future chapter (I stg it's mostly all connected, I just take forever to post stuff).
Anyway, whatever this thing is, Nightmare or other, I hope it's becoming a little clearer that this thing is/was searching for something.
But back to Yin's "nightmare":
This scene was a patchwork of timelines, so it's a bit all over the place. Yin slips into thinking that it has already been many years since the defeat of Corypheus. Since he has no reason to suspect a certain ancient rebel to appear, Fen'Harel's return is lacking in this vision. In this world, things got better briefly in the world....and then I tried to imply that Yin got power hungry and fell into a deep delusion that everything he did was for the betterment of the world. A classic tyrant take, really. Yin became the monster, failed everyone he loved, etc. The most important part was really just the beginning of this chapter with Yin vs the Presence :3
Useless sidenotes:
Originally, this scene had nothing to do with a dungeon or Yin being tried as a corrupt leader. In the first scene (draft?) I wrote, it starts out from Yin's pov. He is riding a hart toward a lush forest beside Dorian who is dressed in beautiful robes that are a fusion of Tevinter and Dalish. Yin is nervous, but happier than he's ever been. It changes shortly to Maordrid's pov as she and Solas pursue to save him.
In the next scene, they are walking through a forest, slowly forgetting their present and gaining memories of a much brighter world. They were just coming off of an expedition (can't remember what they were doing) but Solas carries a filthy bottle. Filthy, but it turns out it's actually a rare and expensive wine. He offhandedly laments that this is a paltry gift for their dear friend while Maordrid said something about having lost the other gifts in a cave-in or...robbed? and that Yin will simply be happy they made it for once.
Anyway, turns out they're going to celebrate Yin and Dorian's wedding with the Lavellan clan! 🌸🌼🏵 The illusion over Maordrid's mind is only disturbed when Solas expresses affection (this is prior to the romance) and she's like...wait. And goes through this whole conflict of realising feelings, fighting them, etc. Solas is just so pretty when he's happy. But lol this is the Nightmare realm! I can't remember all the details, except that the clan comes under attack and it's a horrendous bloodbath. There would have been a pov switch back to Yin during this where he still encounters the Presence in the woods (during the slaughter) and probably a Green Knight type of exchange between the two. D:
The reason this didn't stick is because I was writing in Scrivener at the time and the bitche crashed on me, corrupted the file, and I lost the whole thing. What was initially a very long (I think 10k) chapter about a wedding with some t e n s i o n between Mao and Solas was then cut down to the 2,500 words that it is now because I lost the motivation 💀
Thank you so much for asking me about this my dear! Sorry you happened to pick a long-winded one 😂 I figured since you'll probably be one of the only (if the only) people to ask, I'd give you a big director's cut lol💚🍄🌻

soooo i know i’m already lining your inbox with my reblogs but i simply MUST know your favorite song off of each van halen album 🤩 !!! you can also tell me the songs you aren’t particularly partial to as well if you wanttt but no pressure 🤭🤭🤭
ilyyyy and keep dragging our dearest boys through the mud 😍😍😍
HI XOXOX ✨🤩✨
This was SO DIFFICULT 😭☠️ but anyway let's get into ittt...
VAN HALEN:
I am 100% a trooper for ain't talkin bout love. I do sometimes cheat on her for jamies cryin...but I always come home 😩‼️ I just can't ever get over the riff, the bassline, the drums, and David sounded SO REALLL!
It forever will have me by the ankles 🛐. As for what I didn't like on the album, I really don't have a song in particular. I know I had to warm up to atomic punk, but even before warming up to it I still did quite enjoy it.
VAN HALEN II:
OUTTA LOVE AGAIN 😩‼️I looooove when I can clearly hear David is full on feeling himself and confident, and I think it really shines here. And lmaooo I don't know what sort of pokey poke tappity tap shizzle frazzle bam bam Edward even did on that solo, but whatever it was, unsecured my edges 🛐 he DID THAT. I also found the drums and bass a slay.
Light Up The Sky also had a PRETTTYYYYY SNATCHWORTHY FALSETTO MOMENT ON IT THOUGH 😩 I'll give David a win there. As for a track I didn't like, once again, not really one I didn't like.
FAIR WARNING:
Push Comes To Shove is my wife and we frequently go out to dinner and take lavish yacht trips 😩❤️ I love her so 🌼
No but seriously...I don't like it when people say David couldn't ever sing because PERSONALLYYYY this is an example that that's absolutely not the truth. He was so wonderfully husky here, and that outro where he went AHHHHH or whatever, was the moment.
Edward did his thing with the guitar on this song too, I can't ever get the solo out my mind, I even hear it while buying butter or whatever 😭☠️ the bassline and drums were also stellar, and I love how the lyrics seem a bit more invasive than usual. To ME it sort of contradicts David's "lol I don't take relationships seriously" monicker...
Babe clearly someone hurt you , we all hear it 😭‼️
One foot out the door pissed me off a little because it's too fucking good to be that damn SHORT ! 👺... BUT once again... nothing I had any particular qualms with.
WACF:
Loss of control is my ride or die 🤩, It sort of to me just wraps up van halen as a whole. It feels all over the place, anxiety inducing (like David's fashion), and chaotic. Them-core. Plus Alexander beat those drums like they talked shit about his mama 😩 I enjoyed that.
I will admit that I am a recovering everybodywantssomehater 💔 it used to make me feel like David was chasing me through some Amazon forest trying to make me drink an elixir, and I was NOOOOT FEELING ITTTTT. BUT... around the 13th listen I decided you know what, open your mind, it's not that bad, and I like the song now.
Mostly just for the guitar but 😭 I'll come around.
I'm now realizing I fucked up the order of albums but I do not feel like doing all the copy pasting and moving around 🔪 so let's proceed...
DIVER DOWN:
Secrets my beloved...I've found that I love when David SINGS. His messing around and random screeching is cute and cool or whatever, but I trulyyyy enjoy when he shows versatility vocally. I loved what he vocally did here. Michael, Edward and Alexander ate as per usualllll that's no surprise, but David really is what swayed me to this song.
Not that I don't like itttttt but I'm still warming up to oh pretty woman. I think I've just got to be in the mood for it. Or maybe I'm so accustomed to the Roy version, I don't know, but I'll keep updated hahaha.
1984:
GIRL GONE BAD! I LOOOOVE the guitar drums and bass here, David did his thing. I haven't got much else to say in depth , but this one I definitely listen to more than jump. Nothing on the album I've got qualms with...
5150:
Dreams 🥴, Samuel SANGGGG and did what he needed to do, and I loved that Edward got to do his thing with the keyboards. I also love the songs message! I also enjoy best of both worlds though...
I NEEEEED to re-listen to the last 4 albums actually before I decide on those, I'll be sure I make a separate post about it 🤩❤️ thank you for the ask and I DEFINITELY WILL CONTINUE TO DRAG THEM TO FILTHHHH 👺👺👺👺 love yew too

...gone wrong? IDOL AU #xiao x gn!reader [angst]
.cw slight swearing, guilt trip...?
part 1 + note: part 1 isn't likely similar to this one since part one was pretty much fluffy cute confession. but i'm onto somewhere extreme this time.
.sum a month have already gone by and the more time went on, xiao gotten too much to handle form his business as an idol. date night got completely cancelled.
taking in requests! i appreciate it a whole lot lol.
a/n: parts might just end up proceeding as acquired in with dialogues with short description of given actions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
time is ticking. you've already been sitting at the dinner table for over an hour now. looking at the very sparkling water just right in front of your perspective. people right in the restaurant gave you dissatisfied looks, you already had a sense of discomfort and embarrassment right on the spot. where is he?
the waitress have been pestering you around whether if you decided to take your order or just simply take out. you appreciate he's trying to help but isn't it just with you two? he was never like this. you couldn't take it anymore, you can't sit around another hour looking like a fool with the opinions of others to just pity you.
you already managed to leave the restaurant you two planned to go. what was it at the moment that disrupted your plans with him. missed phone calls and messages had been fiddling around with his phone, still wouldn't bother to at least peak in one of them?
home. it's dark. your mind still runs as you proceed to change into your casual clothes... ditched? forgotten? what other reason could there be when it was outrageously rude to leave someone waiting for their date to come. the atmosphere already felt like it's gotten darker the more you think. you feel dizzy. but it isn't that feeling anymore.
past 30 minutes gone by. you had no interest of the door bell ringing multiple times to annoy you. it was him, wasn't it? you already ignored him for a while. he just couldn't stop.
you got up and finally opened the door.
"look, i'm sorry i've been ignoring your calls--"
"no. let's talk seriously."
you allowed him to enter your home. does he even have any right to step foot after what he did? sure wasn't the first time for a date to go wrong.
"i hope you come to realize on how much of a fool i looked like for an hour sitting in that restaurant. i know what you're thinking, you're just gonna say sorry as if it's the first time you left me on in that table."
"first, i was at practice. second, my phone got taken away by my manager."
"are you not getting the whole point? i prepared myself and i actually thought this time was going to take in a much more enjoyable night. 1 hour. i've been waiting for your ass and you're gonna say you're just sorry? don't you think you owe me more than an apology that sounds so... hollow? really, what's the problem?"
"i'm not allowed to be in relationships. it was listed in the contract and i hadn't read it in carefully as an idol--"
"you could've broke us off. it was that simple, xiao. instead of trying to run away from our dates and ignoring every bit from me, you could've told me to just back off. but, look where that got us! you made me look like a god damn embarrassment!"
"i understand your situation and with my packed up schedule pretty busy, but couldn't we just start again? there's no use in fighting. let's just reschedule."
"uhuh. as if."
"say, your career as an idol or being in a relationship with me?"
"what."
"we have the night to ourselves. don't waste time. or... you just couldn't answer?"
the room felt like it was flickering in silence. you were at the point that you didn't seem to partake in interest of these anymore. it was just a sick fantasy after all. his voice weakens. he looked like he was out of his shell but still trapped.
"my career."
"see. it wasn't that hard. i know you've been working your whole life into this and really, i was expecting for all of that. if you have no more to do with me, go off. start a new beginning because i'd really consider this as an end."
the conversation already ended. you still act neutral with him but you still had no interest of going with him again. you were still hurt but the more you think about it, you regretted every moment spared your time just thinking about all the things you two would do. at least... the normal type of kinds unlike on how it ended up.
you aren't the bad person. no. you were just trying to make it work. but trying doesn't really give in to work with you and xiao. once in a life time, you never felt so relieved to have loved someone. you felt like floating in the air with him. huh. must of had the wildest sick twisted fantasies you ever override with him. a slight tinge starts to bother you right at your eyes. tear drops ran along features of your face. at least from afar, you appreciate him being the first and last you'll ever meet.
time to put your clown shoes on silly goose.

Hello!
I'm very new to the otherkin community, so I'm not familiar with all the terminology yet, but I do believe I'm Vampirekin.
At the moment, I'm overwhelmed that I dont have fangs, and that I must go out in the daylight. My human body isn't sensitive to it, but it does have sensory issues. I'm just not sure how to go about this? I just dont *look* how i should. Do you have any advice?
I believe they tend to mostly just call themselves vampyres and specify if they're sanguine or energy (or both.)
Fangs are easy--Scarecrow brand is usually the best and cheapest. You could even spend money to get custom ones from various fangsmiths. However I would very much suggest directly asking your dentist if they would be willing to use dental composite to give you fangs. It is the least intrusive method, removable, and usually only around a few hundred dollars. Which may seem like a lot but it's worth it. Downside to composite is that it's also the most breakable, BUT your dentist can simply replace it. From what I've heard this runs about $300 give or take, and due to it being cosmetic you can't go through insurance.
Other options include veneers and crowns but these methods require damaging the underlying tooth in order to affix them.
As for sunlight issues, my best advice is to embrace your inner goth lol
Covering up, wearing sunglasses, and everyone looks mysterious and fancy with a parasol. Make sure that you're getting the amount of vitamin d you need though if you aren't getting it from the sun.
The vampyre community feels a tad different to me than general otherkin spaces. I would say to pick up The Psychic Vampire Codex. It's great for energy work (and even sanguine vampires turn to energy absorption when they can't get blood.)
NOVA is the New Orleans Vampire Association, and they have a group on Facebook. I'm sure there are other groups but this is the one I am familiar with where you may be able to find resources. You also don't have to be from New Orleans to join.
Piercing the Darkness by Katherine Ramsland is one book I've seen recommended although I haven't looked into it myself.
Here is an archive recipe of Zaar's not-blood. Tastes like it, apparently, and he uses it to satiate himself when blood isn't available. Zaar runs NOVA I believe and has been around for ages. If you've ever seen a video about New Orleans vampires, it's likely you've seen him.
TheSanguinarium.com and Father Sebastian might be things to look into, as I know he runs a group (religion? coven?) and has written books, although in the back of my mind I feel like I've read that he may be problematic but I have no idea what for or if I'm confusing him for another fangsmith, SO proceed with caution and read up on him.
Hope this helps!

Just rewatched episode two of My Country the New Age with my mom.
It didn't really re-traumatize me the way I expected it to--perhaps because a lot of the pain of the first time around was pure shock at how things Just Kept Getting Worse. The military exam in itself is a tough watch: the harsh transition from triumphant battle music to silence in the background as Hwi and Seon-ho begin to fight, Seon-ho's arm beginning to bleed and Hwi wanting to back off and Seon-ho telling him not to go easy bc Seon-ho sure won't, the way the camera begins to swoop and waver the way Hwi and Seon-ho are beginning to stumble, and of course that final awful hit from Seon-ho... it's fucking terrible. And it was still terrible but I knew what to expect, so it hurt a bit less. Similarly, all the awfulness with Seung-gye in the woods is a bit less excruciating (it's somehow embarrassing and grim at the same time) when you know how it's going to go and how the relationship between Seung-gye and Seon-ho will eventually evolve to mirror this dynamic right now of Seung-gye handing Seon-ho dirty work. But it's still awful to watch how Seon-ho's hands shake right until the minute he goes cold.
My mom and I had a long discussion of Seon-ho's choices and his motivations, and I of course was very defensive of him... at first. We agreed he can't really be blamed for anything that happened at the military exam. We agreed he had Hwi drafted to save him. But....
While at first I was defensive of Seon-ho shooting the military examiner at Seung-gye's command--he has to in order to save his and his father's lives, and the examiner is kind of an awful person to begin with--I found myself arguing against my mom when she said it was understandable bc Seon-ho acted out of fear in the moment. Clearly Seon-ho is afraid. At first his hands are shaking. At first he's in shock and can't bring himself to lift the bow. But in the moment he does shoot, he's cold and clean, and he turns to Seung-gye with a perfect rejoinder to the monologuing Seung-gye's been doing about cutting knots and taking responsibility, a monologue that it's honestly a bit surprising he was able to process. In that moment, I think Seon-ho doesn't act out of fear, but out of necessity and bravery and even a little ambition; not political ambition exactly (well, not not political ambition) but a desire to be something more than a cornered, intimidated adolescent. He's stepping into a role he wants: The role of a person who is able to do the necessary thing, the role of a person with power and agency, the role of a person that General Yi Seung-gye himself could trust. In this role, a sense of guilt in killing becomes only squeamishness. In this role, the question of whether Seon-ho wants to kill and equally the question of whether Seung-gye is just in saying the military exam disaster is Seon-ho's fault both become irrelevant: what matters is being the person Seung-gye wants him to be. Seon-ho isn't panicking. He's stepping up to the plate, and deliberately embracing a worse but more capable, more empowered version of himself.
(but it also must very much be said that his father had a sword pointed at him and they both would have died if he didn't do it. these things can both be true!)
Anyway. What else. Love that exchange between Seon-ho and Nam Jeon when Nam Jeon reminds Seon-ho to threaten, not yell, and Seon-ho proceeds to threaten him with a sick grin on his face. Iconic. Yes Seon-ho, shoot arrows for your own sake! keep it up! Also I'd forgotten how much of the first couple episodes are Just a Simple Romcom lols. Hwi and Hui-jae have chemistry for about ten seconds when she's bandaging his head but mostly I simply can't ship them, oh well. It can't be helped. Also, my mom said to me that she thought my fave in this show was Hwi??? I was like. Hm. I don't really see how you got that impression. Great guy tho, 10/10, and I like him even more as the show goes on, but Seon-ho is life.

Moriarty the Patriot + The Final Problem
aka another unecessary essay from ya boy on how yuumori, instead of taking away from the original text, adds meaning and depth to it
Tumblr media
So I finally got around to reading the final problem after wading through all the memoirs of sherlock holmes and yes, I am in fact reading these because of yuumori. I wanted to see how it was portrayed, what the differences and influences from the original source were. I did end up getting incredibly attached to the original series too, so yeah... I'm glad to report that the original and adaption get along well.
And yeah, I have a lot of thoughts, most of them being just me generally praising yuumori. I think it was straight up genius how they pulled so much content from... well, frankly. The Final Problem was a 15 page short story tossed off by Doyle in order to have an excuse to be done with sherlock holmes, told from the perspective of someone who wasn't even there. And yuumori still managed to make it generally very accurate and complementary to the original, while still being, uhhhhh really fucking different, let's say that.
Read more because again, long essay
Just my observations on the final problem itself is that it is so underdeveloped and told from an outsider perspective. Because of that, so many questions go unanswered, and the reader gets a sense that they are only witnessing a very small part of what actually happened. Sherlock can't afford to go into detail on what Moriarty was even involved in, Watson isn't privy to what's honestly even happening most of the time, and Moriarty just... has this extensive network of organized crime that just isn't even talked about other than Trust Me It's Bad Bro. We don't know Moriarty's intentions, most of who he is, and more questions are honestly brought up than answered within the story. Sherlock knows, oh that's for sure, Sherlock knows what's going on and he has no fucking time to tell Watson. You get a sense that Watson himself isn't even telling all that went down.
So yeah, I can see where there's so much room to expand upon here, not even to change things or make it different because it would be cool, but there's so much that could be happening just within the realm of plausible deniability in the canon.
And I think that it's amazing how Yuumori chose to market itself that way- not as an adaption or reimagining- but that this was in fact the Real story, with Doyle's final problem being... honestly a bit of a cover up, a purposeful misrepresentation of a small slice of the full story. It lends itself completely to that, and I think that's amazing.
(One thing I do find funny is that in Yuumori the story "the final problem" is depicted as a full novella that could be published on its own... man it's not nearly long enough for that but I find it funny in any way)
Of course, there are elements of yuumori that are yknow, simply not realistically something that could have happened, but most of the story is actually within that range of plausible deniability since the canon is so vague and sparse. And since they state that things were changed on purpose to protect people and the moriarty plan, it basically covers that all as simply The Truth. It's well done, and very interesting, especially with the new anime ending taking them to Reichenbach itself.
Like, yuumori didn't even truly change the appearances of the characters, from the descriptions. (we're not counting the illustrations lol) like, Sherlock was never stated (as far as I can tell) to have a specific hair or eye color, hairstyle or such.... he was described as tall, thin, eccentric, messy, with like... long fingers and stuff. Man, yuumori did not go against that. With Moriarty it's different, though he was also reportedly Tall and Thin and Built Like A Yaoi Protag for some goddamn reason, he... you know, has these weird and unattractive features as well, which... in the context of Watson trying to portray Moriarty as unmitigated evil in order to protect the plan, were in this situation made up specifically to further the idea that he was just that.
Because of this situation, the Moriarty that is portrayed as yeah, a smart guy and a threat but seriously just A Bad Dude who seems to have no particular reason behind his actions save being A Bad Dude actually make more sense as a cover up behind a more dangerous secret of him having Real Feelings than the only stated reason being "he inherited being evil from his family". (like... watson, really?)
It explains the vagueness and the events and the weird connection between those two better than the original does, and that's really cool to me.
On their own, without yuumori to back me up on these things, reading this would have left me confused and depressed. But as a half truth immortalized as the real story, you get so much more out of it.
Especially these certain scenes:
When Moriarty just pops into Sherlock's house and they proceed to have a basically wordless conversation amounting to
"you know why I'm here" "you know how I'm going to respond" "well then" "here's date and time of our mutual destruction" "thanks I'll be there" "well I'll be off nice knowing you" "wow it sucks that we're enemies he's such a civil guy"
It just really adds something to that, don't you think?
And the subject of their fall itself, simply the fact that Watson wasn't even there. No one witnessed it. No one found even Moriarty's body. No one found evidence of anything at all.
All Watson could say was that Sherlock and Moriarty had gone up to the mountain together, Moriarty told Sherlock of his plans, let Sherlock write and leave a letter to Watson, and that they never came back down. So he came to the conclusion that they must have fought and both fallen off.... like, holding each other. Not really sure how they reached that conclusion, to be honest.
It doesn't even make sense, exactly told how it is. If Moriarty wanted to kill sherlock and survive, he would have just... brought a fucking gun. Or just pushed him off on the way up. As soon as he got him alone just fucking stab the man. It would have been that easy, but no, he had a whole ass convo with the man, they went up civilly side by side, and they stayed on the cliff a long time while Sherlock wrote that letter. Even then, Sherlock could have just waited to catch Moriarty off guard and pushed him off. But he didn't.
Why would they even have fought, if it was so scheduled? You telling me to believe that after this letter was written and moriarty stood there watching him sipping tea or whatever he was suddenly like "ok im ready to fight now", knowing they would both probably die, and if they were genuinely trying to kill each other and survive, that would even make sense?
Of course, these problems in the original stem just from Doyle no longer giving a shit and slapping this together after losing motivation for sherlock, he was obviously, not hinting at some great conspiracy in the slightest.
But damn, Yuumori really does change that all for you, huh. It adds a whole new layer of context to it. And I like it a lot, I like what they've done on their own, I like what they've done for the original stories, and I especially like what they've done telling the "real story" of this short, vague, mystery that otherwise leaves you feeling unsatisfied and confused.
