Hi there I was wondering how you think the skeleboys (especially the papyrus's) would fel about a really tall S/O like I'm talking like just a little under 8 feet tall (they could be a monster if that helps). Established romantic relationship.
(Underfell, undertale, underswap plus dealers' choice again if you want :D)
PS: Love your work. You're totally underrated
skdjgdskj This is so fun. and thank you!! I'm glad you like my stuff!! tbh I think I'm average rated when you consider the fact that I never fucking post dkfghkg. I don't want to talk about how old this request is...

Sans
Listen
He's already a pretty short guy.
So he's used to being towered over.
But eight feet?? Yeah, you aren't getting away with it.
Sans is standing on Everything to be at eye level with you.
Everything.
I hope you like being big spoon because that is what you will be for the rest of forever.
Damn near every time he wants to kiss you, he will make a joke about climbing a tree/mountain/skyscraper.
The only way to shut him up is to lean down and kiss him. Please do he's not afraid to reuse old material and that's when it gets super painful to listen to.
The lazybones is never going to reach for anything again. Ever.
Papyrus
He's already used to being shorter than a number of other Monsters, so he doesn't think too much of it.
If you were a human he would make a surprised comment about how he didn't know humans could get so tall, but that would be the extent of it.
He actually likes when you have to lean down to kiss him. It makes him fluttery because he is the one that usually has to stoop down.
He loves dancing around with you! For similar reasons to the kissing thing, he's usually the one to lead because he's usually taller, so your relationship is a welcome change.
If you ever dare to rest your arm on his head or noogie him he will a) complain loudly and b) go apologize to Sans because he's "NEVER REALIZED THE STRUGGLES OF BEING SO SHORT".
Red
This guy has a complex okay.
Instead of joking with your height, he'll joke against it.
i.e. he will do whatever he can to jokingly treat you like you are short.
If you are sitting down anywhere, Red is gonna drag a stool or chair over, get up on it, and joke about you being short.
Don't you dare hit your head on a doorframe you will never hear the end of it.
Shameless in just dragging you down to his level when he wants a kiss.
You two can go to bed in any cuddling position you want, you're more than likely going to wake up with Red koala bear-ed to your side.
Good luck getting out of there by the way; his grip strength is surprisingly intense.
Edge
In a similar vein to Papyrus, Edge is used to people being taller than him. He's just also whiny about it.
He'll try to "prove himself" in every little way he can regardless of how annoying it might be. Tall shelf? Prepare to get shoved out of the way so Edge can get it for you despite the fact that you are significantly taller.
He won't say it but he does appreciate not needing to hunch over to talk to people.
He will say that he doesn't like looking up so far. He'll say it constantly.
Lovesss clothing shopping with you. The man has taste and money. You will never struggle for well-fitted, good-looking clothes.
He has his besties at the tailors that will soon become your besties as well. The hottest power couple ever truly.
Dogamy and Dogaressa look out.
Blue
So fine. So, so fine.
On his best behaviour really!
Blue pulls the same "prove he's capable by doing tall things for you" shtick Edge does but he's completely unaware he's doing it.
If you say you're gonna get up and get a glass of water, he's already in the kitchen telling you he's got it. Not a setup if you're more lazily-inclined.
Do you treasure your teeth? I hope not.
He will jump up to kiss you and by god can that man put some oomph into a jump.
If he starts looking at you with a suspicious glint in his eyelight do yourself a favour and just lean down.
Stretch
Little spoons. That's his number one activity with you.
Due to his height, Stretch can't usually be the person who gets cuddled vs. does the cuddling so you are very exciting for him.
Love love loves rotting on the couch with you.
If you're a human, his favorite spot is to lay on your chest and doze while listening to your heartbeat.
If you're a Monster, it's more in the center of your sternum to listen to the magical buzz of your soul.
You will experience more pranks than you think you can bear. You know the plastic wrap across a doorframe prank? Yeah.
You have been lured into a false sense of confidence because if Stretch is tall, he wouldn't possibly pull that kind of bullshit on you right? He would have to trip his own trap right?
Don't underestimate Monster building codes. Those doorways are Tall. He has room.
After a certain point, you learn to just duck through every doorway.
It doesn't help.

According to ut lore, your attacks are more powerful based on how much you want to hurt someone, this is why she's stronger in geno because she has nothing holding her back and extreme hatred for clover for gunning down an innocent starlo. So she's much stronger against someone she hates entirely, when in pacifist she's having a breakdown and lashing out in desperation at someone who has shown her nothing but kindness, so the guilt of doing what she thinks she must makes her weaker even if shes giving her all,
Similar examples are asgore is way stronger in ut yellow because in the original undertale he secretly wants to just die and is only going through with it for the sake of monsterkind, but before clover he is much more set on doing what he must, and i think if we pretend ut yellow is cannon the reason asgore is so broken in Undertale is the shame after a human child willingly gives up their life for monsterkind.
OKAYY I LOVE THIS i assumed she didnt do the red attacks bc she was unconsciously holding back even if she didnt want to but to know that like. she couldnt do it bc of monster magic biology. very good
she is just having a breakdown guys shes fine!!

@elegysonnet
I don't know anything about Geno so he's not currently in the AU. But if I gathered enough info maybe I could add him somehow. Like I did with Rosalina! :00
As for the Error Sans thing, I'm actually not personally a fan of all the crazy Sans AUs. Error Sans, Ink Sans, Dream Sans, Nightmare Sans, Fresh Sans, Geno Sans, Horror Sansss,,, uhg, I'm personally not a fan. So none of these world destroying Sans or other similar individuals exist in my Multiverse. So my squad doesn't have to worry about them <XD
My redesign plans for Kinger was just to give him a fluffier coat basically XD And I didn't have anything in mind for Jax..
Also thank you! :DD
Tumblr media
@deadspooderman (I blocked out the art, I don't wanna be a reposter!)
I think I've watched a few episodes before but I don't remember them..
Although I can see myself liking that Sensei character. XD What's his name.. Sensei Wu..?
Tumblr media
Thank you, I hope the same for you! :DD
As for Jevil, the poor guy's currently still awake at like 2 AM to keep the groups fire going.. :(
Tumblr media
GASSPPP.. THEY CELEBRATE HIS BIRTHDAY??? RUNNING TO NETFLIX RN-
Tumblr media
@milk-powrit
Right now the main difference that I made up is that Undertale humans are significantly more powerful than Deltarune Humans.
DR Humans and Monsters are the same in terms of strength. For example, Kris and Susie's soul are of the same value and strength. Because they're both Lighteners. They're one in the same.
Meanwhile in Undertale, Humans and Monsters are very different creatures. Determined UT Humans, even determined children have the power to rewrite time. Meanwhile I headcannond that DR humans, even if they had determination.. cannot rewrite time like Frisk can.
All of this is completely made up and doesn't really align with the games, I'm aware- its just some fun XDD
Tumblr media
@octonauts16
Becuase I haven't felt like it XD
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THANK YOU!!! :DDDD I'M GLAD YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE! :DDD

@beryl-shade
I feel like canon Seam definitely does. But my Seam and Jevil don't have stuffing. The two of them are very much organic creatures with flesh and blood.
Spamton is fleshy too kind'a.. Spamton is a living creature but maybe less fleshy and more... bone..y...?? They're all strange XDD
Tumblr media
Thank you! I don't intend on drawing anything new for my Kirby AU.. but who knows, maybe I will someday? Or heck maybe if I can remember to, I could dig around for some of the doodles I already made for it? :0
Also its not a FNAF comic that I'm working on.. but thank you anyway! <XD

He's meant to sound like a pirate, soooo yesn't? <XD Also thank you!

Ah, that's my bad. I've unblocked her. But take note! Part of the reason why I probably blocked that person was also due to a lack of posts. You're on Tumblr man, you gotta reblog stuff!

Ah don't worry, I'm likely to get back around to Octonauts sometime soon :}}

@2006-stupid-thatsme
oooo that's a good question.. uhhhhh.... currently? I'd say maybe its the FNAF AU I've got going on :000

By father I assume you mean Natquik? If so, Barnacles was never angry or resentful towards him. My version of Barnacles thought Natquik was dead, because he disappeared many years ago and no one had any idea where he went..
Barnacles was rather grief stricken over Natquik. He wondered for years what happened to his old mentor and friend..
When it turned out he was alive, and had just been stranded in the Antarctic all these years? It was heartbreaking. Barnacles was so happy to see him alive but also so saddened by the situation he had been in for so long.. Barnacles immediately set to have the Gup-I repaired and a solid radio connection between it and the Octopod to be established.
Later on when he formed the Octo-agents. I headcannond that the very first person Barnacles went to recruit was Natquik. Telling him all the benefits of being an Octo-Agent. And he would say things like "If something ever happens to you out here, we have the funds and the means to be out here in less than an hour. If you're ever hurt o-or sick? We can be here. We can help you. You'd never be alone again.."
Natquik took the offer partially because Barnacles would clearly be more at ease if he did. But also to have a secure connection to the outside world? And if that connection is ever lost, a team of capable individuals will immediately go and search for him? It was just too good to pass up.
Tumblr media
@djadecutie
When I get back around to the comics it will be just like it was before. A comic probably split into 2-4 parts and uploaded when ever I'm able to finish them. 🤷‍♂️
Also thank you! :DD

@crimson-thinker
What's Foxy's grief stereotype/virus method? I'm not quite sure I understand the question so forgive me if I give the wrong answer.. But I'm thinking that means "what is Foxy's mental situation in the swap AU?" If that's the case, his mental state can be described in 1 sentence. "He refuses to move on."
Partial Swap Foxy was deeply effected by the loss of Freddy and Chica. So much so that he kind'a acts like.. they're still around.?
The other animatronics have cut out anything Freddy/Chica related in their lives. But for Foxy, the act of removing/avoiding everything Freddy/Chica related just makes the grief more painful. To him it feels like he's discarding their memory. Like doing that is saying they didn't matter or shouldn't be remembered. It just makes them feel more dead..
Foxy is the only animatronic that will go back to that old show stage. Sometimes in his darkest times he will talk to the stage. As if Freddy and Chica are still standing on it and can hear him..
When talking to Gregory, he is similar to Freddy. Acting all chipper and like nothing is wrong. Though if Freddy and Chica are mentioned.. he wouldn't avoid the subject like Freddy would. He would talk about them, even if it rips him up from the inside. He would answer all of Gregory's questions about them and tell him stories. Even if it brought him to tears and their memory was almost too painful to bear. Foxy refuses to let go of the past. And despite how painful it is, he keeps dragging the past around with him like a dead weight. Freddy does the same thing but as he drags the past around he refuses to look at it. If.. If that makes sense--
Basically- Freddy and Foxy are both stuck in the past. But Freddy refuses to acknowledge that he is. And Foxy openly acknowledges it, even if it kills him inside..
(Also note: The main obstacle that Foxy would pose to little Vanessa is that Foxy is faster than Bonnie. And as a Glamrock, Foxy is pretty tough. So if he finds out that Bonnie is hiding a child in his stomach hatch? Well.. he might just have the means necessary to catch Bonnie and rip her out.. :x )
For the second question! Partial swap Freddy is more openly miserable than Classic Bonnie, yes.. But he doesn't miss the singing and the spot light. He misses his friends and making kids happy.
Seeing how sad all his friends are.. seeing how messed up Foxy is.. how defeated Bonnie is.. that's what depresses him. That's what makes him cry..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you! I'm so glad you like him! :DDD
Tumblr media
I imagined that Freddy just threw the old clothes away. They were really dirty and torn and Gregory didn't care about them.
He probably took some trash out of a bin, put the clothes in and then put the trash on top. Effectively burying the clothes so that no one would see it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AAA THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :DDDD✨💜💖✨
Tumblr media
@ocinstituterep
1: ReBLOGS, are allowed. RePOSTS, are NOT allowed. 👌
2: My Glamrock Freddy is probably pretty depressed :( and his depression has had years to develop and get slowly worse. 7-10 on the depressing scale.
But partial swap Freddy? His life just came crashing down. So he may also be depressed now, but he hasn't had any time to really develop it. Probablyyyy a 4-10?
Tumblr media
@dragon-fly34
I'm glad you like my AU! But sorry! I don't take requests and I don't personally support that ship.. <:/

us! chara my sassy lost child
my own interpretation of underswap:
us! chara:
chara replaces frisk so they're now the 8th fallen child. they retain some key characteristics of their og/ut version though (dislikes humanity, has a soft spot for nicer monsters). i heavily see chara as a sassy, firecracker and trouble making child <3
personally, i think of ut! chara as an entity similar to flowey - they have no soul and can't really "feel" love and compassion. depending on what route you as the player takes, they go along with the ride. their beliefs and goals rely on how much exp/lv you've earned. i think of them as a pretty chill souless kid
us! sans:
im not a fan of infantilizing us! sans (honestly this applies to all "papyrus-types"). like chara, he retains some characteristics of his og version. he likes puns (and loves annoying his younger brother with them), a sciency type, and LOVES greasy food ("sans, for the last time, stop buying grillby's overpriced food"). most noticeable difference with his undertale counterpart is that he's a bit more active & more or less has his shit together a lot more than ut! sans.
you can actually die in his boss fight unlike og papyrus. he's aware of what "capturing humans" entail, & he's not really a fan of the whole killing children thing. but y'know, monsterkind just.. needs one more soul don't they? like og papyrus bossfight, you just need to tire him out before he goes "YOU KNOW WHAT, I CAN'T KILL A KID" & spares you.
(if you die thrice in his bossfight, he'll see your expression & just lets you go. he's unnerved & thinks chara's expression will haunt him for the rest of his life)
he can actually make edible food & is popular with snowdin's residents. he has the qualifications to join the royal guard, he just chooses not to. alphys approves of him and would gladly accept him into the team, but eh - he's content with being an unofficial member.
acquaintances with alphys. you could have considered them friends a.. long time ago, but the past is the past. the best big brother - cares deeply for papyrus and his severe lack of friends. pushes the human to hang out w/ him & papyrus (instead of a date).
us! papyrus:
following the trend of retaining some of the og's traits, papyrus can't cook very well. he's slightly above the category of being capable of burning water. he's talented when it comes to making and constructing puzzles - a great engineer tbh. papyrus still has the racecar bed & has dreams of driving one on the surface.
and for the record, he doesn't smoke - it's a lollipop. he's also anxious and socially awkward - guy's got ZERO friends (okay im exaggerating, he does have at least TWO). nevertheless, he's a loser and i love him; a certified babygirl.
similar to ut's events, paps makes a promise to a man behind the ruins' door to guide the human who passes through, and he intends to keep it. unlike ut! sans who tends to watch over the human from a distance (& occassionally intersects with their journey), papyrus is a bit more involved. he keeps chara company during some sections of snowdin/hotland & likes to keep check on them by calling on the cellphone.
although papyrus is lazier and more easy going than ut! papyrus, he's just as compassionate & kind. during his fight's first phase in genocide, he tries to force the human to give up and rethink their ways. his attacks generally consist of blue attacks - a defense; to push you back. he doesn't like the idea of killing someone (even if that someone happened to be the one who killed your brother and all your friends), but if the human does happen to die - it can't be helped.
if you spare him, you don't get dunked on dw. he'll let you off the fight but doesn't allow you to proceed any further. he'll keep blocking your way — the only way to get past him is to kill him. as a result, his bossfight is a lot easier than ut! sans, but still very difficult. when the second phase happens (you attack him when he spares you), he pulls all stops & tries to full on kill you fr.
on a lighter note, he's bffs with undyne. they construct wild and destructive experiments. BESTIES(tm) IN EVERY UNIVERSE <33
(that's all there is for now.. i have plans for the others but i'll post them in due time)

Hey different anon here, i always thought floweys actions in the canon was supposed to be a kind of dark reflection of the players own actions, and a parallel with how WE treat video games. I never really thought it had anything to do with trauma, cause like think about it, how many players abuse save states in video games to get away with evil shit? Most of them i would wager, and if you had the power to save, load, and reset, maybe you WOULD start to treat even your own reality like a video game.
Like, is it wrong when flowey does these things when we do the same? Because to him its real but to us its just a game or is it ok for him to do so because it really IS a game.
And flowey DID say he also spared everyone, in the same sentence he said he killed everyone, implying both are things he doesnt really place value in doing, he didnt do it for fun, he did it because he got bored, and we do the exact same things in video games when we play one a bunch, we start to experiment, we start seeing how different "npcs" react to different situations, we start making challenges for ourselves, we start analyzing characters and putting way more thought into their actions then the person who wrote them probably did.
When flowey has that power taken away from him, only then does he start to change from this desensitizing and feel intense emotion like rage when you don't do what he wants, or fear when you're about to kill him, both are caused by him not being used to not being in control, he spent so long being the one who gets to "play" the world that he can't accept a world he's not the "player" in.
Another factor might be that not having a soul inhibits his ability to feel empathy, but thats just headcanon, sorry for this long tangent, i just really like flowey, favorite character in undertale, just wanted to express my thoughts since everyones talking about him.
I think from a metatextual level, Flowey 100% is meant to be a dark mirror of the player, which is likely why his full backstory is only given in geno, since at that point you're treading a similar path as him if you go all the way on that route. That being said, I don't think there's a lack of trauma. At the end of the day, the buttercup plan involved watching his best friend/sibling die, said sibling sharing control of his transformed body (which is implied to be VERY unsettling in appearance), his refusal to take a single SOUL, which led to his death, and then awakening in a new form, unable to connect to others the way he used to and assuming he was broken as a result of it. He did try to take his own life, after all, and only came back from it because he got scared and his determination brought him back. His power allowed him to avoid consequences and grow detached, of course, but there is absolutely room to read trauma as a PART of how he got to be this way. Not the sole factor, but a pretty significant one, especially if you interpret his loss of compassion as an undiagnosed PTSD symptom misunderstood due to toxic positivity culture among monsters. e.g. this idea that their souls are made of love, hope, and compassion and that makes them different/better than humans. Considering how many monsters force smiles to deal with their pain, I legit this mindset is super harmful to all monsters and they might not even realize it. Flowey is a great and complex character, and losing his abilities definitely also impacted his actions, for sure. I definitely am not a fan of the immense woobification of Asriel in the fandom, like, at all, and it's part of why this arc in IF is taking its time to do more character exploration and stuff since in UT, a lot of his depth is locked behind a route the game actively doesn't want you playing.

Frisk is Chara | Meta
Hello! I am Kiara, here today I want to proof you the theory Frisk is Charas reincarnation.
Please note there will be heavy UT/DR Spoilers ahead. Also notes that for the sake of following canon proofs I wont be going by NarraChara theory! Also note I do belive that theory. Expect the fact that Frisk awakened Chara.
Tumblr media
In the end of no mercy run, Chara specifically says they realized the purpose of their reincarnation. Many argue that these means Frisks Determination awakened Chara from dead. As they fell right on their grave i.e. The golden flower bed we see at the start of the game
But taking the world 'Reincarnation' in account. It means a SOUL or SPIRIT after their death begins a new life in a new body. That's what reincarnation means.
What is the real meaning of reincarnation? Reincarnation is the religious or philosophical belief that the soul or spirit, after biological death, begins a new life in a new body that may be human, animal or spiritual depending on the moral quality of the previous life's actions.
Continuing these point forward, let us talk about the 'common' symptoms noted in history for reincarnation. First: Memories Funny enough, the most common symptoms for reincarnation is memories. Specifically recalling past memories, of their past life. Which includes Deja vu like feeling. Frisk the protagonist throughout the game, they hear and see memories which at the end we know doesn't belong to them.
"You cant give up just yet, <name> stay determined!"
Above you can see the Dialogue we get when frisks soul dies. These dialogue we later get to see that it is what ASGORE said to CHARA. When they were on their deathbed.
The game over texts are followed by Asgores voice-bits. It can be heard at any point of the game, but Frisk never met Asgore. So how can they hear his voices when they die? But CHARA knew Asgore. He said the dialogue to them when they were dying.
Notice, when frisk 'dies' these dialogue play, and when chara is near dead they also heard it. Thier both in a similar situation of Dying. There is more, if you flee when you fight TORIEL and go back to asriels room and sleep you hear the voice again
"<name> please wake up! you are the future of humans and Monsters..."
Please note that, it is hinted that Chara died while they were asleep.
There is one more event, while fleeing from Undyne her spear breaks the bridge which makes Frisk 'fall down' and a sequence of Charas first meeting plays with Asirel. Specifically the song that plays here is also called 'Memory'. Quite a nice coincidence right?
Ironically Frisk fell, and they heard these memory. But know that these dont belong to Frisk. They belong to Chara. Why did it play? Know that the condition for these were the same. Both were falling down, sounds like deja vu right? These memories played because Frisk was in a similar situation, Dying, Falling down.
These proves my point that Chara is 'Frisk', In a new life, and body.
But I have seen many argue, people who make a theory on Chara is frisk tell that frisk is charas dead body. but thats not true. Reincarnation does not work like that, Frisk is fresh start for Chara.
PART 2: Appearance While inspecting anyone can tell Frisk and Chara sprite are really alike, Chara shirt is a inverted colour from Frisks one.
They have the same body structure, height. and hairtstlyle especially the dora haircute i.e the bob haircut It is also to note that both have the same eyes of hope, the same red soul noted by Asgore. The adoptive dad of Chara.
They share a similar taste in clothes, stripped shirt. But it can be argued as all the kids in undertale are seen wearing stripped shirt. But the fasion sense is undeniable.
Flowey specficallly mistaken you for chara in No mercy and True pacifist. (Note; he is know for projecting alot on others)
You have to note that Flowey i.e. Asirel is Charas bestfriend, Thier like siblings. He knows things about chara that chara did not even tell thier adoptive parents toriel and Asgore.
During his fight in pacifist, he mistakens Frisk for Chara. He later does say that he might have been projecting. But please note through out the fight, Asriel spoke all about his feeling of bring scared to say goodbye, about his loneliness. Throughout these frisk never denied they were not Chara. They only speak thier real name when thier asked by asriel, Throught out the fight Frisk could have denied thier not chara, but they dont deny is they never did. They just say thier real name from these new life.
Part 3: if Frisk is chara, why did they fell again then?
Fate, Thats the reason at the end if you went back to ruins, Asriel asks Frisk why did they fell? Was it curiosity, foolishness or fate...
And the answer is of course fate, Frisk in the sense Chara the Same person are the Angels of Deltarune. In pacifist their the angel who free everyone. While in no mercy, their The angel of dead who make the underground empty.
Lets see the prophecy,
However... There is a prophecy. The Angel... The One Who Has Seen The Surface... They will return. And the underground will go empty.
These is what is return in waterfall, while what gerson says is
*Oh yeah... The prophecy. *Legend has it, an 'angel' who has seen the surface will descend from above and bring us freedom.
The most popular canditates I have seen are Asriel, Frisk and Chara. But in my theory thier The same person.
So its down to 2 Frisk and Asriel.
The condition to be the angel is, they should have seen the surface, and underground and are returning.
Asriel dosent meet these criteria, but Frisk ie Chara does. Frisk is returning, since as Chara they had Seen the surface and fell underground. Chara is returning back to underground as Frisk. Its their choices that changes the ending.
It pacifist they SAVE asriel, by their Charas Memories. While in No mercy, their the angel of Death who makes the undergound empty.
There is another thing I would like to mention. In the New home in no mercy, Flowey asked Chara why did they return, did they hear he calling out to them.
Note that, and in the begining we gave name to Chara. Thats what Chara said, the demon that comes when people calls its name.
Perhaps Frisk might have felt something, since before they were Chara. Perhaps Flowey calling, them (which I assume was near the flower bed since he was near ruins to begin with) made Frisk go to mt ebott. To fufill thier past life mistake. To rekindle Charas mistakes they made in past life.
Thats part three.
Part:4 The end
I will be straightforward on these one, Undertale the name of the game itself. Its a Tale, a Tale of Asriel and Chara. Thats who we meet at the start. Thats Whose tale in once upon a time starts and ends its thier undertale.
Asriel now as Flowey, and Chara as Frisk. Both have reincarnated. The songs name are also straightforward of whats happening
For eg, Your bestfriend Floweys theme. But we just met Flowey. Thats the point, he is not Frisks best friend he is but Charas.
The whole point of the game is we play as Chara, Thats our stat name. The name we use to Save, reset. In pacifist Frisk finally lets go of thier Last life's regrets as Chara. And finally Frisk becomes thier own person.
They literally have a identity crises Through out the game,
*Its you (Toriels house mirror) *Despite everything its still you (neutral) *Its me, chara (no mercy)
And the most important line
*Despite everything its Still you Frisk.
Which we see at the end of true pacifist, these line makes it Pretty clear after all that identiy crises in the end Chara has let go of thier past life and moved on to live thier life as Frisk.
Thats all folks, ask your doubts in commets!

Mobtale: a summary.
As seen before with Underfell, some UNDERTALE iterations could be better described as a whole category of AUs with similar traits. Such is the case with "Mobtale," or Mobstertale, wherein the common threads are that while monsterkind was never banished from fresh air, tensions with humankind have persisted to the point of monsters forming gangs to get by, and either the 2010s still maintain the style of the so-called "Prohibition Era" or the entire 2010s population is set back ~80-90 years.
While Mobtales can be distinguished from Undernovela by cultural differences between transatlantic USA and Latin America, Mobtales can also be distinguished from each other by monsters' jobs, dealings and relationship with humans.
Take, for example, "UT Mob AU" where human children had been experimented upon by adults to incite tensions between humans and monsters. The children were meant to be taken in by monsters as Trojan horses, and then triggered to collect their monster SOULs. Asgore and Toriel had lost their son this way, not knowing what had been done to Chara. W.D. Gaster had been researching how to rehabilitate Frisk and others before them, and Alphys was entrusted with continuing their treatment plans after his passing, but his brothers Sans and Papyrus, who used to work for Toriel but now work for Asgore, unknowingly intercepted a delivery when they found Frisk in a crate.
They did not recognize Frisk as a human but saw they wore a dog tag, which said FRISK. 349-550-0 C-TEST, so the brother nicknamed them "Little Pup" or "Lil Pup." As much as Toriel wanted to take over upon seeing Sans' and Papyrus' inexperience at childcare, she compromised that she'd help the two provide for them since Lil Pup took a liking to staying with the two at their abandoned warehouse.
Sans began investigating in secret, but after there'd been a failed attempt to mug Papyrus at knife-point, Lil Pup later attacked Sans with a knife. Papyrus intercepted and diffused the situation, and Lil Pup would not remember this incident, but Sans was still wary. He tried once to return them to the humans, with Temmies to lead the way, but he couldn't follow through when Lil Pup cried for him. So he took them back home, committing to his and Papyrus' responsibility for the child, and resumed his investigation.
Alphys would tell him everything when it led him back to her, but word about the "pup" had reached Asgore through Undyne, at which point he put out a dead-or-alive capture order. Sans intercepted the dog monsters, but Papyrus intercepting Undyne set Lil Pup off and Sans would take them both elsewhere before they could take Papyrus' SOUL. In the following struggle, Sans stole Frisk's SOUL as they were stealing his, and in the panic to preserve Frisk's, the two's SOULS osmosed to a degree before Sans Frisk's body would accept theirs back.
After this incident, Alphys was able to explain the situation to Asgore, and he called off the headhunt.
...In the case of "Undermafia," Sans and Papyrus work for W.D. Gaster, who in turn refers to Frisk as "young boss." The Skeleton Family was entrusted with the human's care when Asriel died and Toriel feared what Asgore would do after their separation. W.D. Gaster especially took a liking to Frisk, while Sans' motives are more financial and Papyrus is a reluctant but proficient sniper.
Meanwhile, in "UT Gangster AU," Sans and Papyrus, fronting as an Italian diner alongside Grillby, work for Toriel after the loss of Asriel motivated Asgore to found their gang. Asgore remains the gang's public face and Undyne acts as underboss, usually with Sans on diversion duty and Papyrus as the getaway driver. This... frequently means that Sans lets the police target him for brutal physical abuse. He does not give them the satisfaction of seeing how much they're hurting him, but he does not tell the gang what he endures for his them either, which has forced Papyrus to feign ignorance around Sans' secrets. Depending on where else alterations have been made, this AU especially could also suggest that staying on the surface has allowed monsters to emulate more physical matter– enough to bleed. Because this Sans has. Often.
As seen above, another major disctinction between Mobtales is custody of Frisk. Frisk is Asgore and Toriel's formally-adopted child in both Undernovela and Undermafia, but in UT Gangster AU they were not taken in permanently until after they tried turning Frisk in as a runaway, only for them to return to the Dreemurr family; and in UT Mob AU, it was Sans and Papyrus who adopted Frisk, being the two who found them. This is the more overt differentiation.
To understand a more subtle difference for telling apart Mobtales by their Frisks, it must first be understood that as organic lifeforms, humans have historically related identities and social designations to their external tissues, such as how adults use some of these traits to assign genders to newborns, assign social roles to genders and maintain social pressure to follow these birth assignments even into adulthood. By 201X, more human societies have begun phasing out these gender roles, but Mobtales take after a time period several decades earlier.
This may give context for the variations in Frisk's presentation between Mobtales. In UT Mob AU, they were never forced to follow this practice under the care of monsters, whereas in UT Gangster AU, they'd gotten in frequent trouble for mixing gendered school uniforms until they were homeschooled. And in Undermafia, Frisk is what other humans would call a tomboy, addressing herself as a girl while dressing more like the men and boys of the time. This could be due to the underdeveloped vernacular of the era's mainstream or to fundamental differences in her sense of identity.
...Come to think of it, I don't know whether or not assignment should also go on the list of alterations. Back in my timeline, it never came up before I ▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢, and I had no reason to review our Frisk's personal data when I went looking for □□□□.

I acknowledge that Knight Alvin and Knight Papyrus are the two most popular candidates, and with good reason. But. May I also propose. Knight Alphys.
Association with Determination. (Carried out experiments with DT in UT,) Association with NEO as a concept. (Created Mettaton's NEO body. Asriel Dreemurr, whose God of Hyperdeath form shares similarities with Mettaton NEO's design, was revived by her. Undyne the Undying, who shares design traits with MTT Neo and God of Hyperdeath, who creates more of her own DT than any other monster, NEEDS to confess to Alphys in order for the True Lab to be opened, the secrets of DT and Flowey revealed, and the path to the True Ending revealed. Alphys has many crushes, but it NEEDS to be Undyne who reciprocates.) Shows strong tendencies of escapism, to the point of self-destruction, in normal Undertale. Holds strong connections with both Gaster(in UT) and Gerson(in DR).
Consider with me! We're led to believe Alvin is the Knight. But! It is a red herring. At one point when Kris and Susie go after Alvin, he explains to them about his Father's relationship with Dark Worlds, and how he's recently re-opened the Castle Town Dark Fountain because he felt it was necessary. But the Castle Town Dark Fountain and the other Dark Fountains are different--each Fountain reflects the will of its opener. Those other Fountains are impure, and are made by someone with a more anxious, self-deprecating, wavering heart.
They were made by Gerson Boom's other pupil, and his true successor. Ms. Alphys. Kris' own teacher. Because Kris' classmates have gotten a lot of emphasis...and the teacher is a member of Kris' class too.
Alphys. Who, in Undertale, had issues with escapism. Forcibly cast a human and her best friend into a role so she could feel better about herself. Because she hated herself to the point of wanting to vanish into an endless abyss. Alphys, who spends time putting milk out in an alley which has graffiti of a tree found in the Dark World, and of Everyman, who appears in the attacks of the Amalgamates, and of certain Dark World enemies. (Queen, most notably.)
Who would be able to pause class to go check up on Kris and Susie, and then shut the doors on them? Alphys. Who is known to frequent the Library often? Alphys, who left her opinion on Mew Mew Kissie Cutie in Library. Who's complaining about how the previous MMKC was too light, and likes how much darker and more complex the sequel is, in contrast to her more heroic and well-intentioned otherworld self? Alphys. Who in Undertale believes in the existence of alternate universes?
Fucking. Alphys.
Is this incoherent? Maybe! But I think of all the Dark World candidates, or of UT characters who may have significant roles later on, Alphys is comparatively overlooked.

MODDED!TALE
=====================================
GENERAL INFO
=====================================
Its Unknown whether this is an Au or AT
This World was originally undertale but the player modded it and change its code to become something different, changing Undertale to what he wanted and what he believed was canon while also adding a ton of new stuff
=====================================
SETTING/LORE
=====================================
The Player decided to change the underground, instead of making it a barrier underground, The "Underground" is an another dimension where the monsters live, this other dimension had no sun or sky and the world is entirely underground as there is no surface
The Locations are
Hotland- A place filled with lava, has lava geysers, Volcanos, and Rock inlands
Snowdin- A cold snowy environment with frozen lakes, few trees, and ice glaciers
Waterfall- A crystal like environment with waterfalls and rivers, the crystal above produce a liquid that makes it rain in the area
Atlantic sea- A giant lake that goes deep below, filled what seems to be coral and similar oceanic plant life
Dark Forest- A forest with no light with trees that reach heights that none have ever reached
Rocky Hills- A mountain valley that is like a maze with many caves and minerals
Monster Kingdom- Where most monsters live and is the home of Asgore and his family
The player changed the lore of UT making it so the war still happened but ended in a peace treaty where each race decided to stay in their own worlds, with the doors being destroyed
The Door themselves were grey in color, the doors are gateways between the monster and human worlds
The Doors cannot be repaired once they are destroyed
=====================================
HUMANS/HUMAN SOULS
=====================================
The Humans in Modded!Tale had their physical capabilities increased that even the weakest human can crush a boulder with a single punch
The Humans have special abilities however these abilities are limited and are not magic, not all souls give special abilities
The Humans had many different Soul traits that provided them with different benefits and debuffs
For Example
Justice- Increases Speed and Strength and gives the user the ability to see the intent of the being
Bravery- Increases Strength tremendously
Perseverance- Increases Defense and speed and gives the user to absorb attacks for a short period of time
Kindness- Increases Defense tremendously and gives the user to see the health of a being
Integrity- Gives the user the ability to detect lies
Patience- Increases Stamina and gives the user the ability to predict attacks
There are many other soul traits some being entirely new soul types and others being a mixture/combination of the soul traits that results in a new soul
Humans when they die, their soul leaves their body intact however if the soul is attacked directly it can be destroyed easily
A Human Soul that has lots of DT can refuse to die however that requires an unnatural amount of DT
A Human Soul possess a membrane of some sort that contains the trait and DT
There are 2 types of soul membranes a human can be born with
Soft Membrane- The soul itself is soft and when held it feels like a ballon and when destroyed, it pops
Glass Membrance- The soul itself is hard and when held it feels as hard as glass and when destroyed it shatters like glass with pieces of the soul scattering around
A Human souls are more physical as they can be held and felt, they can take much more damage than a monster soul and can persist after death
=====================================
PLAYERS
=====================================
The Player made in so that players are defined as greater entities that exist in this world that can be called upon by humans
The Players are beings that can do any action but require a sacrifice of something of value
Players can possess only humans and thats if the humans agree to such action
The Players cannot interact with the world without a vessel and are powerless when connected to said vessel in that world
Players are beings that exist within the void that is outside the world reality
The Players are given a physical body in the void simply called an empty vessel or avatar
This Avatar is the representation of the player, Players possess the soul of SELF that is in their vessel, this soul only contains unlimited DT but it has no traits (This makes the soul look clear or "empty") When a Player possess a human, the player soul layer's on top of the human soul
The Avatar cannot leave the void unless in special circumstances
=====================================
MONSTERS/WILD MONSTERS/MONSTER SOULS
=====================================
The Monsters in this world like UT are completely made of mana or sometimes called magic
They feed on mana which exists in all forms of life
Monsters can shape mana into whatever they desire, this is called magic as with enough concentration and training, mana can do all kinds of things
Monsters do not need to eat but require places to have enough mana in the area to sustain themselves
Monsters can reproduce both sexually and asexually. Reproducing sexually is much easier for a monster as with the help of another monster, they can sustain the monster baby with magic that won't be fatal to the monster parent. Reproducing asexually is much harder as the parent monster would need to give a lot of mana to the baby in order to sustain it, if not given enough mana the baby will die, but if given too much the parent would risk dying
Monsters do not have dna or genes but have something called a mana pattern which is something that is apart of a monster soul that what makes a monster form
Monsters release excess mana from their souls, as they get older their soul starts to release more mana to the point where it releases too much mana which leads to the monster death
Monsters do not have genders but have identities, depending on how they view themselves their bodies will form in order to match with how they view themselves
Monsters cannot truly feel physical pain, they can feel certain impacts on their bodies but lets say their arm was cut off they wouldn't be screaming in pain
There exists monsters called Wild monsters
These monsters are basically the same as regular monsters however they have more animalistic behaviors
These type monsters are very peaceful as they only feed on mana which is everywhere, there might be some that are territorial but very few are aggressive
There are some wild monsters that do hunt other monsters or wild monsters, however those kind of monsters are rare and for a wild monster to hunt other monsters is also rare
Monster souls are less physical and more made of condensed/concentrated mana, a being cannot feel or touch a monster, those who try will feel nothing, they will still feel contact with something but just feel nothing
A monster soul cannot persist after death, once a monster body has taken enough damage or fatal damage their body and soul will dust
=====================================
BOSS MONSTERS/HALF BOSS MONSTERS
=====================================
Boss Monsters are powerful monsters that can rival humans in physical abilities and have access to powerful magic
They are immortal (The aging kind) and get more powerful as they age, Boss monsters can also be resurrected however the soul must be intact and must be in area where there is a lot of mana
They cannot lose their immortality when they have a child but instead become weaker, losing a quarter or half their power
If the child were to die, they would not get back their power or at least in large quantities
They are nicknamed Demi-Gods due to their immense power
Boss Monsters can summon what is known as a magic weapon
Each Magic weapon is unique to each boss monster and the weapon itself has all sorts of different effects that synergize with the boss monster
A Boss monster magic weapon is one with them, so if the magic weapon gets destroyed it can repair overtime automatically however this does prevent the boss monster from summoning their weapon intill the repair is done
Half boss monsters are the byproduct of a monster and boss monster having a child, they are still more powerful than regular monsters but are weaker than true boss monsters
Half boss monsters are immortal (The aging kind), but they cannot be resurrected, and when they have a child they don’t lose their power
Half boss monsters do have magic weapons but cannot be repaired automatically and takes a lot longer
Half boss monsters do get stronger as they age however it is at a much slower rate than a true boss monster
Boss monsters has they age become stronger however this increase in power only increases every 1,000 years and for half boss monsters it’s every 2,000 years
This increase of power is specifically their magic power, mana, and physical capabilities
=====================================
SOULLESS BEINGS/GHOST MONSTERS
=====================================
There are 2 types of soulless beings in Modded!Tale
EM Soulless: These beings do not have a soul but possess some sort of trait or DT that allows them to keep their emotions however the connection between them and their emotions are very loose
EL Souless: These beings do not have a soul and do not have any traits or DT making them completely emotionless
This can happen to both humans and monsters through mostly artificial means but both have different effects when becoming soulless
EM Soulless
For monsters if they become soulless, they cannot use magic or at least cannot use magic at its fullest, when becoming soulless they also lose parts of themself becoming someone different then who they once were
For Humans if they become soulless, they show no emotion (this doesn't mean they have no emotions its just harder for them to express it) becoming more logical, they also lose the power their souls give them
EL Soulless
If either a human or monster were to become soulless without any traits or DT in them, they simply become empty unmoving and uncaring, they are equilvent to dead bodies but without being well dead
Ghost Monsters are monsters that do not have a physical form, this is because they simply do not have enough mana to form a physical body for them, this makes them immune to physical attacks however it is possible to hurt them with magic
Ghost monsters appear soulless in their ghost form and while they do not appear to have a soul, it is entirely misleading to call them soulless
There soul is there body or their entire being as once they found and possess a vessel their body forms into a soul and simply goes into the vessel
A ghost monster might not be able to fully combine with their vessel becoming more aggressive or wild (This does not happen to all ghost monsters)
However once they do fully combine with their vessel they will be able to interact with physical things but do lose their physical attack immunity
=====================================
DETERMINATION/MAGIC/SOUL ABSORBING
=====================================
Determination has the color of gold and is contained in every human soul no matter the trait
Determination is also present in boss monster souls however its in small quantities, while half boss monsters have no determination, the same as regular monsters
Determination can prevent death for monsters but for humans they end up as a ghost/spirit or just a floating soul
Determination when mixed with high amounts of magic or is exposed to magic for a long period of time, it turns red
To be clear Determination color is gold but when in a soul the color becomes clear/invisible and when exposed to magic for long periods or mixed with magic outside of a soul it’s color turns red
Soul absorbing is the action of a monster or human absorbing another soul
Monsters can absorb other monster souls but this provides nothing to the monster host, it is merely an act to prevent a monster soul from dusting but this action is very dangerous as more mana is now needed to for the souls and if not carefully handled can prevent death to both monsters
Humans cannot absorb other human soul, however it is possible for a human ghost/spirit to attach themselves to another human, this can only happen if both the spirit and human have the same trait and while it’s possible for a spirit with a different soul trait than the human to attach themselves to them, the connection is more loose
Humans can absorb monster souls and monsters can absorb human soul, by doing this it grants them unimaginable power but is different depending on the leader
The leader is the being who absorbed the soul, they have the most control over their body
If a monster is the leader and absorbs 10 human souls, their power becomes equal to that of a god, this is the same for boss monsters too
If a human is the leader and absorbs 10 monster souls, their power becomes something that defies a god power
Both when absorbed 10 souls can kill each other as their powers are equal but if both were to fight it would cause the destruction of a whole universe or timeline
There are many different types of magic with 5 being the most well known these are
Soul Magic- An Advanced form of magic that ignores most defenses to attack the soul directly, the Magic itself can take any shape
Creative Magic- A basic form of magic that allows the monster to create things using magic like barriers, spears, and etc, it uses raw magic as it doesn’t do anything special
Ritual Magic- An Advanced form of magic that humans can use however the process is very long and requires certain requirements to work properly/correctly
Elemental Magic- An Semi Advanced form of magic that allows the monsters to either create certain physical things like Fire and Water or manipulate those physical things like Earth and Air, there are many more elements but those 4 are the most basic
Effect Magic- An Semi Advanced form of magic that allows the monster to apply certain effects to magic or themselves like making a certain magic attack home on the target or speed up a monster

Gaster is the narrator not Chara I'm right You're wrong and you Smell!!!
I don't typically talk about UT/DR on here but I do love this little pair of games a lot and think about them and their narratives quite often. If you've been around the fandom spaces, I'm sure you're familiar with the misinterpretations of characters like Chara where they're exaggerated more than what the canon portrayed. Sure, these characters are little pixel creatures, but they have faceted personalities and it's obvious Mr. Fox had put a lot of thought into them. The thinking pattern typically goes as, you digest the game, then you digest the fandom, and fandom becomes more fresh in your memory since the game is pretty short. So you start defining these characters are what people say they are and not what they are in canon, if that makes sense. And ever since I realized my interpretations matter too, it's been bothering me.
As mentioned before, Chara was misinterpreted as the big bad, the evil, the TRUE final boss of Undertale!! , yet in canon they were plainly a traumatized kid who wasn't a great person. They were just a kid who had a poor life. Although they had the great power that came with being a human.
Your soul persists after death, right? And they were taken and buried in the Ruins. I guess that means you'd still be alive in some sort of way. The human souls that Asgore had seem to have woken up during the battle with Flowey. I wonder why. But that's the similar circumstance that wakes up Chara at the end of the Genocide route. Which means they weren't aware of what was going on at the beginning of the Genocide route or any other timelines.
I won't deny the red text at the end of the game is them. Though, I think the red text at the save point represents your soul. Not Chara's, nor Frisk's, yours. (but that's a topic for another time)
If Chara had a specific text indication, and says you woke them up at the end of a certain run, how would they be narrating your every action? Why would they be, if the narration doesn't match with their formal manner of speak?
The narration is playful. It tells jokes. It seems friendly. It inspires you. It makes fun of you. It teases you. It berates you. It is cruel. It makes fun out of violence. It makes fun out of you. It's with you at nearly every single point throughout the game. This all just doesn't seem characteristic of Chara to me, and it wouldn't make sense that they're everywhere despite being "asleep" most of the time.
Gaster is described as being scattered across time and space. He could be with you, all the time. We don't particularly know him, he could be friendly at some points and horrible at others. After all, it is the best outcome that he fell into the CORE... Of course, he's not just in Undertale. Time and space, yeah? He's everywhere. And Deltarune does have the same narration.
So, in my perspective, that makes Gaster a second "player" in this situation. There is a hierarchy of power over this world, where you're at the top. Following a monster of time and space and another human. (whether it be your vessel or Chara) Gaster does seem to be enjoying himself. He inserts himself into the game's code. (Unused Gaster fight, where every value is 666, lol) I would assume all the Fun events are caused by him too, trying to play and goof along with you. And to him, these characters, despite having been his own acquaintances and people, are just toys to play with for him. Like how we see them!
(I could go into a bit more detail regarding Deltarune but i'll just leave it here since my memory of chapter 1 isn't the greatest. Thanks if you read this all the way!)

All the other sans complaining about resets and trauma of murderous children.
Meanwhile Deltarune sans "wtf? I literally just run a shop and raise my socially anxious little brother what the hell?"
The main characters in undertale are just vibing in what I believe is a world in which the monster human war never happened. Meanwhile all the crazy stuff is happing away from their knowledgle.
But also Deltarune sans having these strange flashes of memories from Classic's world.
Also since player is canon in Deltarune if you were to include would you change it to being the ghosts of Frisk and Chara or leaving as something something completely new in your multiverse? Just to spread more confusion about this new OG verse
Cbjwbxnsn They all look at DR like “??? Is it just??? Classic UT but nothing ever went wrong??? A world with no Underground or war or anything? A Slice of Life AU????” DR!Sans can’t even say otherwise, he has no fuckin idea. XD
Oooo the idea that they get dreams of UT is intriguing damn. A little phenomenon no one can explain, having similar dreams in this “made up” world.
As for your last paragraph, mmm, idk really. I like the idea of the Player in DR more than in UT, but story wise, I don’t like pulling the real world into anything? Kinda like how I’ve mentioned Creators, but they aren’t… us. Its not the fandom creating the AUs. It’s like this whole separate entity with a title these characters have just given them.
So Kris would have… something in their head/soul. An unknown, unexplainable, something. At least until we find out more. I might change my mind if it turns out canonically, Kris like… summoned this being to use their body, like some theories suggest.
Idk, I’ve always been a fan of things that are left unanswered. A story that isn’t totally finished, like it was cut off. Loose ends that are just left loose instead of tied up neatly. Shit goes down, but we don’t know the why. It leaves a lot to the imagination to fill in the blanks, and it just seems more realistic. Not knowing is scarier than having something confirmed, y’know?

How would Disbelief!Papyrus react if he found himself dragged to other realities? No explanations, he just woke up and found himself in UT, UF, US or HT and met the skeletons from that AU?
Ok, I’ll go with universes still underground. Would you like a cup of tears with your angst ? Because I do.
In Undertale : First time he saw Sans, he burst in tears. He thought that was his universe, that his brother was alive again, but then the other Papyrus came out and all his dreams were crushed. Sans was very confused too. Once he explained everything however, there’s now way Sans let him go alone. He absolutely doesn’t care if he had twins brothers now, he knows what that poor Papyrus go through and there’s no way he abandoned him behind. Papyrus is totally ok having a new brother too. That’s gonna be a lot of spaghettis at home. Their friends are so confused too, but won’t questionned for very long. Disbelief!Pap’ is extremely good at fighting since he absorbed Frisk soul so it will blew Undyne’s mind. Now she have to make both Papyrus royal gards since she doesn’t want the other Papyrus to be sad. Eventually, after a while, Disbelief!Papyrus and Alphys will find a way to reject Frisk soul out of his body. Barrier is broken, everyone can go on the Surface. This is the best timeline ever.
In Underfell : Well that’s akward. He was walking in Snowdin when his duplicate found and captured him. Edge won’t stop calling him stupid-looking and threat to kill him because it’s too weird they are looking that similar. Sans is troubled too, but won’t say a thing. But when the kid fall, Papyrus knew it was started again. He begged Sans to free him and insisted very hard on the fact his brother was about to die. Sans didn’t believe him, but he was so determined that he freaked out and let him. Papyrus jump between the human and Edge just before the human slained him. He dies happy, knowing this Papyrus won’t live the hell he saw.
In Underswap : He met Blue first and was so confused. This Sans is even more energic than he is. That’s creeping him out. He much more prefered his lazy brother than that. It’s like looking in a mirror. But then he met Honey and it was even more confusing ? Papyrus thinks he is drunk or something. Or dead. He’s not sure. At first, Honey will not trust him, but Papyrus is so happy to find a face he knows he won’t leave them. Blue is delighted, Papyrus is trying all of his puzzle and they both having fun. At night time, Honey won’t let him enter their house however. So Papyrus just slept in front of their door, in the cold. When Blue found him in the morning, he was so pissed as his brother that Papyrus felt bad. Eventually, after a while, Honey will warm up, seeing as similar he is to his own brother. He also let him sleep in his house at the condition he takes his sentry job since they are twins and stuff. That didn’t work very well with Alphys. Everything will mostly go after that like in Undertale. Papyrus found his place, helped break the barrier and bough a house next to Blue one. It’s different from his universe, but that’s still ok.
In Horrortale : He runs into Sans first and had a really bad emotion shock. “Wh... What happened to your skull ?” He’s horrified. That must hurt so bad ! Sans is also anormally tall. That’s weird. Well, meeting his clone was even weirder since he surpasses him by two heads. Horrortale Sans is having an existential crisis right now. After a bit of explanations, Papyrus is terryfied of what is going on here. On the other Papyrus advice, he won’t leave them. He tried to help his best but won’t touch human meat spaghettis. He prefered to starve, really. Sans will have to trick him too, sorry. Now you have two Horrortale Papyris. When monsters finally got free, he will follow them on the Surface. After all they get threw, they are family. Sans is happy to have two brothers to take care of him and they learned how to heal and forget together.

undertale theory: Red Souls are unnatural, it’s the Angel’s Power. Chara may have had a Golden Soul
Please read my previous theory post on DT not being the red soul if you haven’t already. tldr; the color gold is repeatedly shown as the color for determination, in the saves, the golden flowers, the heart locket. I ended that post with a discussion on what Red could be, since it’s not determination. I had trouble because it’d have to fit both the pacifist and no-mercy endings equally.
My answer is Red = Power, Gold = Determination. Chara had a Gold Soul that turned into a Red Soul.
Ok, how did I get there? So like, here’s my Tea. SAVE points clearly come in two colors at the very least. The Red soul in UT and DR have the colors gold and white respectively. The first is Determination, the second The Angel’s Power. Why did I say the Angel’s power?
Tumblr media
(photo ID: A screenshot of Deltarune, Father Alvin speaks to Kris. He says: “Let the Angel’s power light your way.” end description.)
Let’s buckle up. This is another long one.
I don’t think I need to explain player theory, do I? Yes? I’ll be quick. The combo of a few things. Firstly in this interview Toby explained that:
“I will say that basically, what you're seeing here is not the world of UNDERTALE.“
“...To rephrase that, DELTARUNE's world is a different one. With different characters, that have lived different lives."
Next, there’s Toriel only using fire magic in UT but not in her home in DR. Monsters have graves instead of performing their dust spreading traditions in UT. Humans aren’t feared for their powerful souls while monsters are seen as fragile.
Why bring this up? We don’t know if humans naturally have souls in DR. I’d even argue because souls are the culmination of your entire being, and as it exists as something you use to navigate DR and control Kris + friends with, I’d argue it represents YOU solely.
“At the start of ??????, Kris is a LV1 Human. ‘Body contains a human SOUL.'”
Either the red soul is Kris’ soul changed Red, or it’s a foreign entity taking over their body. I don’t know which fits better, because with the first is the vibe I get from us taking Kris’ previous SAVE point. This action can symbolically represent us taking over their literal body and soul here. Obviously, the red soul put into Kris has to be either Kris’ old soul taken over or brand new, as the description says there’s only A SOUL. Singular.
Now, back to the Angel being connected to the Player. As other smarter people have said, this is the song track that plays when the soul is used to close the Dark Fountain. Simply called, “Your Power.”
Tumblr media
(photo ID: Another Deltarune screenshot. Kris and Susie standing at the Dark Fountain, the Red Soul floating upwards to close it. end description)
With the combo of that and SAVEs being the “power of x”, a literal shining light of power, I feel it’s safe to connect all of these together. The Red Soul is You, the player, you use your the emotion of Power to bend time and control Kris. It is “Your Power” through the Soul that you can leave the darkworld. I’d argue that both the Red Soul and the white light are the same Power by all of these being used for both the SAVE point and the red soul.
Now, you could say that this could just be separate from the Red Soul like how Determination is. After all, all humans have determination. Power being the SAVE power in DR doesn’t mean the Red soul also means power. Kris even used the SAVE point before your control, and if you’re the Angel and it’s your light, how come they had it before you came?
Well, to that, I’d argue while we’re the Angel, we might not be the true true Angel. Kris was possessed with the Red Soul before we got there. Gaster had to make or at least connect to the Red Soul at the Vessel creation scene. All these connected themes tie you to the control of the player to the red soul and the word “power.”
More evidence, simply put by Chara in the No-Mercy Run:
“Greetings. I am Thank you.Your power awakened me from death. My 'human soul. 'My 'determination.' They were not mine, but YOURS.”
There are three things Chara says here. Your Power, Your Soul, Your Determination. They’re separated. They’re different things.
“ Why was I brought back to life? You. With your guidance. I realized the purpose of my reincarnation. Power. “
Here’s more emphasis on the word Power and it’s connection to You, the player. Chara is being literal here, your red soul brought them back from the dead.
We know for a fact that Chara’s soul was red at least when they died. The coffin, painted with a red soul, is described with: “ * (It's as comfortable as it  looks.) “” And with the artificial nature of Gaster calling onto You to control Kris, I wouldn’t say it’s that far fetched that he’s the reason Chara’s soul color is red now. They lied in the same time period, as Chara had lived in New Home and Gaster lived in Hotland. It’s been a long time since Gaster was the scientist.
Tumblr media
(photo ID: Screenshot of Undertale, Frisk stands in front of Gaster Follower #1, a greyscale Goner monster of the orange monster in Hotland. They say: “It makes sense why ASGORE took so long to hire a new Royal Scientist.” end description.)
The game repetitively mentions that Chara died a long time ago.
“ * You're not actually (player name) , are you?* (player name)'s been gone for  a long time. “
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they’re both described this way. At the very least, it’s not a stretch they’d been at the same time period, and had interacted. As Asgore’s trusted royal scientist, tasked with likely trying to find a way to free monsterkind without killing Chara, would of had to studied their soul. And with his very direct connection of connecting to the Player’s Red Soul in DR? It’s Gaster’s doing that they’re red.
We know either Kris didn’t have a Soul or their soul turned red. We see the Red Soul change colors in battle, so we know it’s possible. If it’s the player’s connection that’s brought Chara back, and you play through Chara who influences Frisk, that’s all Red Soul work. Gaster is likely the reason Chara is back from the dead and that we can play Undertale. Bam.
and here’s my last piece of evidence that Chara and Frisk by extension aren’t natural reds either:
Tumblr media
(photo ID: The Undertale collector’s edition has a golden heart shaped locket with the deltarune symbol on it’s face. Next to it, a small art booklet with the word “Undertale(tm).” In the logo is a red heart. Below the logo is a gold soul, and below that Frisk falling into a patch of golden flowers. End description)
The locket is Gold. The soul is gold here. Now, maybe it’s only not Red because the art is in sepia gold tones, but the logo still has a red heart. I wouldn’t put it past Toby to have made this as a hint.
Tumblr media
and again, there’s no red flower. Only Gold.
(also i am aware someone else has made a similar “red is not natural” soul color theory recently, but I only saw that when researching this and I feel I’m having more to say than just that here so it’s fine? I hope?)
anyway, tldr; the word power is both used to describe the Red Soul and the white SAVE power, it’s heavily connected to the Angel’s power and light. Gaster’s influence in this artificial soul can imply the Red color is unnatural, and he could very well have given Chara this soul color as they lived in the same place/time period and had the means/job to do so.
also anyway I think a Gold Soul would be cute as hell and a cool concept, please feel free to use it. I love to see it

oh huh. while i like the 'poncho human and companion from ut opening are eerily similar to kris and susie' theory, and i think it's really neat, on a narrative level this theory.....doesn't really appeal to me? oh wow, i think this is the first time i have a feeling for a theory that's not just some degree of interest
because if the big reveal is 'humans and monsters were never actually at war at all and the legend is a misunderstanding of a history long gone', then it kind of nullifies a lot of undertale's points for me. then chara's suicide would have been voided a lot of its original reasonings because hey, turns out humans were never at fault to begin with, so the sins you were trying to atone for never existed in the first place!
while obviously i don't think that chara's reasonings were at all sensible, charged with self-loathing and being unhealthy as they were, it still doesn't change the fact that in some parts, their view held truth to it: humankind trapped monsters underground, and they're vital in helping the monsters get out because of this
this reading also voids true pacifist as the true ending for me......i understand that inherently the game doesn't black-and-white judge you for just killing some people, but to reach a 'true ending' you must refrain from killing anyone, even the people who actively want you dead. i greatly sympathized with this because of an understanding that mostly lines up with chara's - humankind trapped you under and made you suffer, so it's understandable that a lot of you want humans dead. plus, human souls are kind of necessary in order to get the fuck out of the hole....
but if humankinds were never at fault? god, that'd be a takeaway i'm not sure i can be fond of - that you should be kind to anyone regardless of whether they're trying to kill you out of an agenda or out of sheer ignorance, and that it shouldn't matter because you can just come back to life anyway. it hurts and is traumatizing to die even if it's not permanent. the only reason i was okay with this on a narrative level was because human souls were said to be much stronger than monster souls and the war was built on the foundation of fearmongering and an unfounded, utterly selfish sense of self-preservation. but if there was never a war and this was never something humans believed in, then.....
anyway if this theory is true i hope the conclusion is not as simplistic as that. i feel like, given how asriel was gunned down to death on the surface, no matter if the legend was true to word or not, humans do harbor hostile sentiments toward monsters. i don't know what i'm hoping for, not really? hoping that deltarune will not be undertale's prologue in this way, or at least not in a straightforward way? hoping that there are some plot points yet to be explained that give more nuance to this? hoping that a war will actually eventually break out and kris and susie will be smack dab in the middle of it (???? 😭😭😭 what) i trust that toby fox is an excellent writer, though. i know we all do, having played what he wrote
edit: this post has been in my queue so i'm coming back to edit it after i sat on it for a bit......i stumbled upon this post which did get me thinking that this can be a plot direction that won't entirely, retroactively take away from undertale's integral plot points. like if kris and susie and co are trying to protect the rest of monsterkind from the roaring by telling them to hide, and the barrier was meant as protection, but then the two of them failed to stop the titans anyway so they never managed to come back to save the people they were protecting......and if gaster was trying to go back far enough to ensure that kris and susie succeed, then i suppose that still lines up with the rest of undertale's story. except for the part about the barrier, i suppose? because getting out was framed to be the true happy ending achievable only through TPE and there has to be a more complex plot workaround to explain what happened to the titans while everyone was busy being trapped. but eh. i'm not the guy with the biggest brain out there. it's not either/or

Idk how long ago you said this but I think you said something about having some ideas for MH Swapfell??? I would love to hear them if you're still willing to share :D
context for everyone else: this was sent last week while I just so happened to already be drawing Swapfell MH for the first time, so anon your timing with this ask was impeccable
my ideas for Swapfell MH are based on issues I have with Swapfell in general, so to recap those: 1) I dislike the overly dark tone most Underfell, Fellswap and Swapfell takes go for where everyone's abusive to each other, and 2) the combination of Underswap and Underfell makes the characters feel too far divided from the Undertale cast to me, in that I can't see any of their original counterparts' personality traits or charms in the Swapfell (or Fellswap) casts.
the first one's easily fixed with my headcanon tone for Underfell, where everyone's edgy but still goofy and have the capacity to be kind, but the second problem is a lot more complicated, and it's the main reason why Swapfell is generally not appealing to me (Fellswap even less so).
...that is, until last year my brain went 'hey what if the Swapfell characters were to lack traits from the Swap MH cast due to being a Fell universe, which in turn bring back similarities to their UT selves', and somehow that fixed my entire problem and threw me in too deep. so I'm not gonna be making full character sheets for the entire cast but I will get them designed and post all my ideas for them eventually, and for now I'll share a few things to give a basic overview:
(also, I already say this about Underswap MH but it goes double for Swapfell MH: I know Swapfell is popular the way it is for a reason, so if my ideas for it don't appeal to anyone else, that's fine. this is all for my own fun o/ )
Swapfell MH Toriel:
unlike Orchid, she shares UT Toriel's adamant refusal to take another's life to let others free, and as such has never killed a human. instead she banished Asgore to the Ruins for declaring war and turned her back on her revenge-hungry people, stating if they wanted to gather human souls they'd have to do it themselves. her inactive leadership caused monsters to become crueler, as they began to value the strength to kill humans above all else.
her anger towards her people has since dulled with time, though she still thinks little of those who want to kill humans and blames Asgore for it all (not that she's innocent - her disinterest in what her people do has caused Many Problems)
while Asriel isn't her biological nephew, she’s still very close to him as he remained in New Home after Asgore's exile and the two were the only family each other had left.
Swapfell MH Asgore:
still has UT Asgore's trident, as he brought it with him to the Ruins and wields it for a reminder of what his decision cost him.
his regrets consume his life, but it is a Fell universe and part of him can't deny that he still wants vengeance for his adoptive children. this results in him being a sorta off-putting father figure as he struggles with his conflicting views when each human falls down.
only offers golden flower tea, and will be offended if it is refused.
Swapfell MH Papyrus:
has worse anxiety and lacks Noodle's ability to appear chill in public, resulting in him lacking popularity in town, not unlike UT Papyrus. and yet despite distrusting others, deep down he still tries to believe people can do better.
his greatest joy in life is making the most dramatic and dangerous puzzles; he considers The Gauntlet of Deadly Terror his finest work, and as such won't deactivate it for Chara.
will throw a cup of his awful burnt spaghetti at you if you insult his puzzles.
Swapfell MH Sans:
lacks Neptune's ambitiousness; like UT Sans, he doesn't care about getting any further in his job than a sentry and just does what he wants regardless.
while most monsters like to pretend they don't care, he's not afraid to be someone who openly does care for others. but he's picky about who's worth respecting, if you're not one of those few, he only values your life depending on how entertaining you are.
still tells bad puns, but mostly just to get annoyed reactions out of people. though, he's grown to appreciate a certain goat lady's genuine laughter in response too.
Swapfell MH Alphys:
still has a poor opinion of herself, but doesn't try to power through or even hide it like Axe - she actually weaponises her own self-dislike to catch foes off-guard.
the injury that scarred Axe's right eye was far worse in this universe, resulting in her being blind in one eye and having limited vision in the other. however, underestimating her because of this would be a fatal mistake.
she and Undyne are already dating, and she often gifts Undyne weapons stolen from defeated foes as if they're romantic flower bouquets.
Swapfell MH Undyne:
was far more lacking in scientific knowledge than Sci-Fi when she built Napstabot's body and became Royal Scientist. she's since learnt more with experience, but generally views science as "nerdy crap", although it's cool nerdy crap that makes stuff explode and impresses girls.
not afraid to use herself as a guinea pig for experiments, resulting in her having numerous scars and a few accidental poisonings. she also didn't bother making a fake left eye, and instead equipped her empty socket with a laser.
hates humans as much as UT Undyne and tries to pursue Chara throughout Hotland in a similar fashion to the original game, but like a cartoon supervillain her attempts usually fail and even accidentally help them at times.
Swapfell MH Napstabot:
their lack of self-confidence is so severe that they've never made a single public appearance, and even use subliminal messaging in their music to compel people to enjoy it. monsters only know what their box form looks like due to merchandise.
gets roped into assisting Undyne's attempts to stop Chara throughout Hotland, but as it's their first time being on camera for their shows, they're extremely nervous and mess up most of their parts.
their magic tears deal serious damage when they feel depressed, which like UT Napstablook, is most of the time.
Swapfell MH Happstablook:
can still be a little nervous at times like Glamour, but UT Mettaton’s charming performances are natural to him and he's a master at building a brand.
re-branded the Snail Farm as the Blook Family Snail Jail, which features a Thundersnail Gladiator Arena and live snails for monster children to take home and practice killing humans with.
constantly starts discourse on Undernet.
Swapfell MH Asriel:
loves causing mischief, and unlike Sage still wears a striped shirt to trick people into thinking he's an innocent child who doesn't know better. if his puppy-dog-eyes expression doesn't get him out of trouble, the reminder of his status as a Dreemurr usually does.
gave himself a very cool God of Hyperdeath-like nickname, 'The Blazing Thief of Chaos'.
never moved to Snowdin Town, but visits the area often enough to fill UT Monster Kid's role.
Swapfell MH Monster Kid/Temmie:
in life, they often did the talking for Frisk but usually followed them around like the younger sibling of the two. UT Monster Kid's "say something mean so I can hate you" line to UT Frisk was one of their favourite games to play.
as a plushie, after waking up in a world much darker than the one they used to live in, they were too afraid of monsters to become bored and twisted like Tem-K. she may not be able to feel love or compassion, but she's a genuine ally to Chara.
Swapfell MH Chara:
still hates humanity, thinks very little of themself, and is much more wary of monsters than Charity and less inclined to sass people they just met. despite all that, they're still inclined to show mercy and start to come out of their shell as they make friends in the Underground.
speaks quite formally like UT Chara, but uses slightly different vocabulary as they picked up the habit long before meeting Toriel.
likes white chocolate only. especially with raisins.
Swapfell MH Frisk:
while alive they were seemingly unfazed by anything, much like Canon UT Frisk. they often quietly performed good deeds, and sacrificed themself via buttercups as they thought trying to break the barrier was the best way to fulfill the role of 'the future of humans and monsters' Asgore referred to them as.
as a ghost, they're heartbroken to see how their family has changed since their death, and their narration is quite blunt and hopeless for most of Chara's journey, though they become more optimistic throughout the pacifist route.
getting their expression to change from the usual -_- face is truly an achievement.
I have more than double this amount of info on every character, but I don’t wanna spoil everything :’> but I hugely appreciate the opportunity to ramble about this, so thank you anon!! and I appreciate anyone who bothered to read all of this too ahah
also I have the basic ideas for all the character designs in mind but nothing drawn yet other than this tiny messy concept for Sans, so here’s that:
Tumblr media
(I’ll reveal everyone else’s nicknames another time, but the edgy star boy’s nickname is Mercury ✨)

I was thinking about Undertale, which happens very intensely sometimes.
I really do want my S/I to just be plain ol' human me. Because, becaaauuuse, there's something so very real and very me about finding acceptance and love in a group of monsters where I've only found it in a handful of humans before.
I'm very lonely irl. I don't feel like I fit in with humans as a mass, I often say I'm a dragon or some other non-human creature at heart to ease my own discomfort.
And like, I know, I could just make a monster S/I. But I want to be accepted as me by the UT cast. They mean a lot to me, and I've spent most of today thinking of my dynamics with the non-MTT "main cast" (ig) of Undertale.
Alphys and I surprisingly take some time to arrange our boundaries! We don't dislike each other, but we energetically wear each other out with our similar interests and how we express them clashing at first. But one night I stay longer than usual and we get into talking boundaries instead of anime and fandoms, and we start vibing at similar frequencies. At least, we start feeling comfortable flagging the other down when our batteries are low.
Undyne intimidates me in a one-on-one setting for a very long time. She's fit and energetic and I'm very much not?? In a group setting I think she's swell! But alone, I feel self-conscious and nervous that I'm not meeting her energy. That said, I love her and Alphys as a couple and cheer them on very openly.
Frisk and I get along fine, though since I hc Frisk as mute and using sign language, I don't ever interact with Frisk without an interpreter because I don't pretend to know any form of sign language. Frisk is a busy child in this headcanon post-game world, though, what with the super-shared custody and also being ambassador between the monsters and humans.
I think my S/I would be as conflicted about Asgore as I am irl. On one hand, child killing. On the other hand, he did feel bad about it. On yet another hand, didn't stop him from doing it multiple times. On fourth hand, he had a limited data set. On fifth hand, he's kind of pathetic about Toriel. That shouldn't be part of my hands but it is.
Toriel and I would be dangerous in that she is wholly too sweet and she'd bake me a pie and I'd cry from her baking me a butterscotch pie because I love butterscotch and then she'd feel bad for making me cry and then I'd feel bad for making her feel bad and have no way to make up for it. I need crispy Deltarune Toriel, but also I don't want the Deltarune versions of any of these characters because they're all sadder.
I don't count Flowey in this headcanon world because he would not try to interact with humans besides Frisk, probably? If he did, I dunno, I think I'd just call him an asshole. Everyone would explain the whole story to me, I'd nod and process everything, and be sad for a while for the poor thing... then still call him an asshole.
I left Sans and Papyrus for last for a very good reason.
[In real life, it's important to note, I have a closet comfort cosplay of Sans. Complete with a cloth mask for his grin.]
I want to be so comfortable and close with the skelebros that I'm practically an honorary skelebro myself. I want to have a heart-to-heart with Sans where I say "I wish I was more like you." and he gets uncharacteristically somber and says "Don't say that, Rem. You don't wanna be like me." And he's looking away and on the far wall I see a blue glow as if he's emitting light a mere foot away from me. I want to make human-style pasta and have Papyrus crash through the door only to go "Why aren't you screaming? You should AT THE VERY LEAST be screaming"
Like, I'm highly considering adding Sans and Papyrus as familial F/Os after all the thinking I've done today because it just feels so comforting to be like "they're like brothers to me :)"
