It is painfully obvious that Donald Trump lied yet again. He was Not Shot. At most, he was grazed by a piece of debris known as shrapnel. Which is what early reports tweeted immediately after the event.

Despite his theatrical bandage at the RNC, he had been seen prior in a tiktok video without such the day after the incident. These photos from yesterday make it clear as day: he was nicked by a piece of something and his injury was the equivalent of a small child's "boo boo".

His lies that he was shot, that it was an injury caused by a bullet upon his person, or that he took a bullet for democracy are all further lies from the most dishonest man in world history.

As far as why such a small wound would bleed as much as his did, I've heard it said many people his age are often on blood thinners to prevent stroke. I myself took blood thinners for years and yes, a tiny pin prick can bleed profusely like that.

We can't let the lie that he took a bullet or was at all his by a bullet live freely. When you hear it, counter it with the facts. We still don't have the medical records or testimony of the responding physician. Because Trump won't allow it. Because it counters his propaganda.

Twitter is calling it EarGate. Whatever you want to call it, we have to fight lies like this. The fact he'd lie about this should still be shocking. The fact that it's not is very sad indeed. You always think he can't get any lower and somehow he does.

Every time I see that G--gle phone photoshop commercial my heart is filled with infinite sadness, like, yeah it's cool you can have a good family photo, it's cool you can do that, but god, there is something to be said for the honesty of a family photo where you're blinking, or crying, or have ugly wrinkles.

What is too unsightly for you? Would you swipe-click-replace out the image of my cousin crying on our Florida trip family reunion photo? Would you remove the plastic snake I have clenched in my grip, which I still have to this day? Would you scoff at the wrinkles around our eyes and the strands of hair on our faces as we squint into the wind, the day before the massive storm? Would I remember it if I didn't have these reminders, if the picture was perfect and clean, all children in a row with perfect gleaming white tombstone tooth smiles? No tears. No plastic snake.

Everyone is beautiful and no one looks genuine.
