lol okay under a read more bc i was like "i don't have the energy rn to spark a whole discussion about this" but then it got kinda long anyway so. the tweet itself is your average annoying twitter bullshit but it speaks to a wider pattern that really fucking pisses me off and worries me so that's what this is about

someone tweeted this, which had like 900 likes and multiple people in the replies and qrts going "omg did she really do this/when did she do this" and op would be like "it's a joke," to which the reply would always be "oh well it does sound like something she'd do."

it's a) not funny in the first place lol and b) a very common type of joke to make, hinging on this widely-accepted idea that frank and lynz hate each other and are petty about it, and that lynz abuses gerard & is extremely controlling. both of these things are literally completely fabricated but people just believe them, and it really goes to show how all these people who hate lynz sooo much don't hate her for the reasons they claim to. these people could not any more transparently give less of a shit about jimmy urine's abuse victim when it really feels like they gleefully use her as an "excuse" to make frerard "jokes" where lynz is a villain. it's disgusting and so so insensitive. domestic abuse is also such a fucking disgusting thing to accuse people of with literally zero evidence besides the kind of thing that was touted on blogs like ode2's, including things like "lynz saying she deadheads the flowers is her sending messages that she emotionally or physically enjoys beating gerard into submission" and "the way gerard's behaving on instagram (i.e. not using it very often) just feels fishy to me...something must be wrong" and "frank and lynz are sharing coded messages about hating each other via opossum memes on their instagram stories or in their instagram likes".

my point is: if you really hated lynz THAT much for reasons such as her association to msi and the tweets where she claimed to have indian descent and was weird to people who called her on it, then you should not need to invent additional reasons to hate her. you would also have to admit that those two things are not exclusive to lynz since everyone in mcr also has extensive voluntary associations with msi, most of all gerard and frank, who have also done/said racist things in the past, and you would have to come up with reasons why you are willing to forgive them but not lynz. i also don't like lynz and find a lot of her actions distasteful but it's literally impossible to get a reasonable explanation from any of the mcr fans who hate her SO much for the depth of this hatred without them including complete fabrications or deeply bad-faith suppositions (or actively misogynistic comments) in those explanations. it's extremely transparent and only goes to show how little these people care about the actual genuine issues related to jimmy/msi and weird racist comments/claims.

also as a side point i don't understand why people also love to act like frank is a perfect innocent in any situation to the point where they'll literally make up reasons to like him or claim that he's on "their side" (e.g. the idea that he hates msi when he was a vocal fan). i love frank so much but fandom as a whole seems to have such a weirdly distorted view of him, despite him being the one in the band who's most open about his thoughts and feelings/life in general. or maybe for that reason? he certainly seems to be the one people project onto the most with a lack of self-awareness about what they're doing, idk. it's weird though frank is such a lovable and admirable guy but sometimes i see the way some of his intense fans talk about him and i honestly feel like they're talking about a different person? of course none of us really know him at all but idk i really feel like the version of him that exists in the most prevalent fan-driven frerard narrative is so bizarrely separate from reality skfjfkssk. idk anyway that's kind of off-point, the most important thing here is that if you make things up about frank or attribute your own opinions to him when he hasn't actually said anything like that (e.g. hating msi or hating lynz) you're gonna get further and further down that rabbithole and end up setting yourself up for disappointment when frank inevitably doesn't behave/think the way you want him to irl lol.

i know he's kinda in a weird thing with valentino but just hear me out...

Long story short you two both met after he most likely had a huge fight with Valentino

It was a very brief interaction with you both barely sharing a full 'conversation' if it could even be called that but to say the least he was obsessed from the start

"Isn't it a little late for you to be out?"

If it wasn't obvious he was very much attracted to your mysterious nature. He wanted to figure you out and to try and understand you and this proved to be more of a challenge than he thought

One thing that drew him in even more was most likely your villain set aesthetic/clothing. He probably wanted you to become a V in some sort of way but this most likely didn't work

Your charisma also hooked him in even further. Every other second he spent it basically thinking about you

The next time he met you it was at some event and he made sure to stick around you and talk for a while

You didn't give him much to work with and that made him frustrated and excited all at once

As the event went on you ended up calling him out and being fake and you and him got into a small argument causing him to burn up/overheat and he got embarrassed at this

From then on out you both kept meeting like clockwork and he would try to strike up a small argument with you hoping to get a reaction. You humored him for the most part but sometimes you ignored him just having fun in seeing him throw a pissy fit

Hello there! Super excited for this matchup exchange as it’s my first one! I’m not going to lie, it took me a while to get you figured out, but I think that ultimately I managed to pick the perfect match.

Husk!

I think Husk is a good match for you for a number of reasons. First of all, even though he might not look like it, he’s very patient and observant, as shown in one of the episodes of the series too. He easily reads people’s emotions, so he doesn’t need you to be open about them to understand if you’re going through something. If bottling up your emotions is your go-to coping mechanism, he’s not going to think twice about calling you out on it and on whatever you’re actually going through. He might do it a bit harshly at first, but his tone is quick to change into a gentler one as he doesn’t want you to get defensive and build up more unnecessary walls between you two.

Husk is not really afraid of getting called out by you; he’s got nothing to hide, so while this aspect of you calling people out on their bullshit might intimidate somebody, he’s not included in that group of people. If anything he’s going to call you out first as I mentioned earlier, and he’s going to make sure that you’re always sincere with him from that moment on.

He’s also not really bothered by your habit of cursing a lot, as he does so himself. He thinks some curse words are pretty hilarious if used at the right moment, and he won’t hide the occasional chuckle when you curse over something that he finds particularly funny.

With the flirting however, he’s going to act annoyed over it at first...because he is. A little bit. He actually genuinely likes you as a person and ends up catching feelings for you in the long run, but by God, why do you have to be such a tease? It’s not really typical to see him blushing, but he’ll end up having to turn around or hide his face a lot around you because he just can’t help but get embarrassed by some of your teasing. He’s glad his fur kind of conceals some of it, at least. He’s eventually going to start teasing you back, mainly by calling you pet names seemingly out of nowhere. What comes out of it is a very fun friendly and perhaps romantic banter.

What really did it for me was when you said that you need a partner who can both keep up with you and be patient and honest; Husk can very well be this kind of partner, even though he leans more towards having a pretty low energy but I don’t think it’s an issue as you don’t seem to have the highest energy yourself. Though he loves when you bring out your charisma, he thinks it’s very attractive.

Speaking of attractive, he absolutely loves your beauty marks, he reminds you this almost every day along with reminding you that you’re beautiful in general. Husk is a gentleman at heart with his partner, so he’ll do it in a very sweet and genuine way, and he will never be vulgar with his compliments. If you like pet names, he will use those for you, especially things like ‘doll’ and ‘bella’, which means beautiful in Italian.

Husk admires the fact that you can defend yourself, both verbally and I’m guessing physically, since your hobbies include fighting sports. It’s another thing about you that he finds infinitely attractive. Still, in moments of danger, he will never let you defend him and do nothing for you, if anything you’ll either be asked to stand back so he can do all the work or you’ll be fighting back to back and looking out for each other.

He really appreciates you not being clingy in your relationship, as he sometimes needs his space, but he’s a cuddler at heart so once you get comfortable with physical contact he’ll be all over you as long as he has your permission. During cuddles, his cat instincts slightly take over, especially when he’s sleepy...so you might get asked to scratch him under his chin or behind the ears, don’t fret though as you’ll be rewarded with a good amount of purrs.

I honestly do not think that Husk is a morning person either; if he’s grumpy during the day, imagine when he’s just woken up. When you two wake your bed is a mess of intertwined limbs and feathers he’s lost during the night while moving around, and none of you has any intention of getting up and making the situation better. Instead you opt for taking those sweet five more minutes under the covers, his tail wrapped around your waist protectively.

He also takes an interest in listening to you talk about your hobbies. I have a feeling that he’s not a fan of many hobbies honestly, but you could get him into something, such as reading. Spending hours together in silence as you read your favorite genre of books or stories and he picks up some Action novels sounds like a good time, no? Especially when it’s a bit cold outside, and he has you curled up against one of his warm wings.

also. just like as a petty side thing.

first, there have always been goths w light hair who dont dye it black. some people seem to think this is like super rare and that goths dont accept it or whatever, no idea where that came from. i knew blond goths as a tween and there are sooo many examples of photographs of blond goths. very light blond hair is something ive seen in goth esp romantic goth SO much since like, the 2000s, and thats only bc i myself only got into goth in the late 2000s. so idk where this persecution complex of blonds supposedly being pressured to dye their hair black came from and i think its probably not based on that much. and the same is true of redheads, if not even moreso.

second, like.. come on. natural blonds and redheads are considered so desirable culturally. blond hair in particular is so extremely glorified. and that desirability and glorification is rooted in white supremacy. lets not pretend like we dont all see it and we dont all know how much light hair and eyes are adored, how theyre part of the white supremacist cultural beauty standard.

so for those reasons i find it rly grating for these white blond goths to whine about how the goth community wants to force them to dye their hair black to be 'real goths' or whatever cause its like.. that isnt real, like thats not happening on any scale that matters, that is your white victim complex. you have created a fantasy of a community within which, finally, you can be the innocent victim persecuted for something that in real life is if anything a privilege.

and i think white goths in particular do this all the time. there is like. a particular way in which white goths act as if (and sometimes even say outright, but usually its just implied) being goth is essentially being part of an oppressed minority (and in turn they use this to justify a lot of white goth bullshit, including the frequent cultural appropriation - by construing goth as essentially the same as an oppressed people and culture, you get to act like the shit you stole from actual minority cultures belongs equally to you. note if you look up 'goth cultural appropriation' the majority of results will not be about goths appropriating things like traditional tattoos, face painting, headdresses, symbols.... but instead be about how the normies are 'appropriating' goth culture. white goths literally have appropriated the very concept of cultural appropriation, turning it from a term that serves to discuss racism and colonialism to a meaningless idea that basically means 'being a poseur'). i feel like it kinda comes from the same place lol

(tbc no this isnt a Big Deal or whatever im just having thoughts. but yeah basically its always annoying when people feel the need to complain about how persecuted they are for things that society literally holds as the standard to aspire to lol.)
