Collective rambling

Sometimes we have to remind ourselves that there's no shame in sharing emotions and feelings. There's no shame in being affected by something even if that person wasn't there to witness it. By the nature of how we exist we can feel as individuals and we can feel as a whole, at the same time. Acknowledging that and tending to our Collective grief/burnout/sadness isn't a sign that we're all secretly one person faking it, it's literally how we work and how we've known we work.

I was asked the question “why do you live? What gets you out of bed in the morning? Why do you want to be here, on this earth?”

I looked at the state of the world, the economy, climate, attitude of it… and internalized the question… I’ve thought about it for months

I used to answer, “it’s spite… there are millions who would Love to see this black, queer person utterly removed from existence and here I am, not only surviving everything that’s happened to me, happening in the world, and here I am LIVING!!”

But that’s no longer true.

I Live on because I am already here. I am an expression of the divine. God created me, too, in his image. Who am I to deny the creator his creation. And for me to say “I Love God” and spite my neighbors… is a lie. For me to Love God and mistreat myself is a contradiction. If I am to Love something, especially the cosmic designer, I must treat every expression of that entity with Love. I’m here. The universe intended for me to be here. It conspires in my favor… so I should move, think, act, Love like it.
