Countdown to 10/31! Weekly UPDATE

UPDATE! I finished Book 5, when I posted this morning I was still writing it. Here we go Book 6! I also only just figured out how to change text color, dates are now in red. Yay!

So far, I am sitting at about 714k of unpublished content, all generated since mid-March. Whew!

Mostly for my own fun, I’m posting a weekly update on writing Our Love is Written in the Stars. I’ll add each book title and the book’s POV every other week. DAILY POSTING WILL BEGIN ON AO3 OCTOBER 31!

rahhh this looks like fun!

1. i tried alternating povs as well as making a story that is 20+ chapters long! i might continue doing alternating chapters, but anymore stories that have more than 20 chapters might need to be shelved for the sake of my sanity 😭

2. i have outlined four fanfics, one of which is unpublished but a wip. the other is WTHI, which is not yet finished!

3. i learned that i’m a very impulsive and disorganized and wordy writer. don’t get me wrong, it works in my favor most times, but there’s no guarantee i might completely mess up the outline due to a really good idea

His mind whirred into action, making his mouth say thoughts the moment they popped into his head. “Gossip? No, you don’t seem like the type. Weaponry? Euch, wait, if that type of talk really excites you, then I’d rather walk in silence.”

“Now I wish I liked talking about weaponry.” A gasp came from his throat, genuine and uncontrollable.

“Are you actually talking to me?” A teasing note threaded his voice, to which the warrior immediately picked up on.

“Shutting up, now.” Bofur groaned.

“We can play a game of charades if that’s how you want me to guess. Or hot and cold? Tell me if I’m getting warmer.” (ch 10, from WTHI)

24. it surprised me how much i had to say about each member of the company. i anticipated that i would be less wordy when it came to the company, but they all had personalities and stories begging to be written, and just took over the entire fic!

26. oh my goodness, when i finally got to reveal the plot twists in chapters 8-9 in WTHI! i loved seeing my reader’s reactions to the twist i’ve been planning since beginning the story!

One More Chapter 1: The Start

Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 3.5, Chapter 4, Chapter 5, Chapter 6 (if it’s not linked it’s not out yet)

Summary: Midoriya overhears Todoroki talking to Jirou about his feeling towards both him and Bakugou. What will he do with all this weighing on his mind, along with his new relationship with Bakugou?

Author’s Note: So, This is like one of the fics that i’m most proud of. But alot of people dont notice that it is the Sequel to Katsuki, Katsudon and Kisses and that it picks up right where it left off in The Next Morning. All of the chapters should be out by 02/25/21.

Todoroki Shouto woke up to a loud scream and immediately ran to the source, meeting a bunch of other students on the way, and eventually he was a part of a mob. He ended up running right next to Bakugou Katsuki.

“Izuku! Are you okay? What happened-” Bakugou started.

Izuku? Since when did Bakugou call Midoriya Izuku. And he sounded concerned. Something is weird here. Shouto thought.

Then Mina spoke, “Bakugou, you have no idea how long we have all been waiting for you to man up and confess your feelings to this boy, when I found out I had to ask just to be sure.

Bakugou’s hands were sparking, but stopped when Midoriya interjected: “Actually, I confessed to him.”

“Dont lie. Kissing me is not confessing to me. I did the confessing.” Bakugou snarked.

Kissing. Confessing. What? No way. There is no way. It can’t be.

But deep down he knew it was true. Especially when Midoriya just blushed a deeper red.

Once Aizawa arrived, everyone went back to whatever they were doing, or to the kitchen for some breakfast. Shouto just went back to his room.

Sitting in his room, his mind was racing.

Midoriya and Bakugou were dating? How could this happen to him?

He heard a knock on the door. He knew who it was and opened it to let her in.

“Are you okay, Todoroki?” Jirou spoke sympathetically.

“I don’t know.” Shouto said bluntly. No emotion showing in his voice. A habit, from his childhood. “I love them both. Midoriya is so strong, and so is Bakugou, and they are great for each other, they complement each other so well. There are reasons I love the both of them. I am so happy they’re happy but I can't help but feel heartbroken at the same time.” That’s when the tears fell, and he began crying. For the first time in a long time. “I wish it was me. I wish I could say, ‘i wish I were bakugou’ or ‘i wish I were midoriya’ but I can't, because I love the both of them and there is nothing I can do about it because neither of them love me.”

“You should follow your heart…” Jirou placed her hand on his shoulder.

“...What?”

“Give me a sec I'm trying to come up with some cheesy shit to tell you.” Jirou sighed, “Look, there is nothing we can do about this at this point. They love each other. All you can do is be happy for them. If it’s eating at you, you should tell them, both of them at the same time, so that it isn’t something that they feel like they have to keep from each other, and then the ball is in their court. But if thats not something you feel like you need to do. Don’t and learn to move on.”

Izuku was walking from his dorm to the kitchen when he passed by Todoroki’s room, and heard it. He heard a loud, sobbing voice. He heard every word of what Todoroki said. Every word.

What is the word allowance for participating writers?

Due to formatting concerns we will be using a document size limit instead of a word limit. In a standard word document (letter size, 1" margins) with 12pt Arial font, that allows for about 7 pages. When formatted like a book (with paragraph indentations and no extra spacing between), this can allow up to around 3,500 words.

What are the dimensions for participating artists?

The zine will be printed in A5, so we ask all artists to make their final submissions in that size (148 x 210 mm or 5.8 x 8.3 in). For image quality sake, they must also be no lower than 300dpi and in CMYK.

Dec 27, The thing that makes the Vernon’s “Revelations” so important is that the annotations that Vernon made to the book are HIS, and he pretty much considered erddnase Erdnase book to be his bible and cornerstone of his card magic.

Hello anon. Thank you so much for your kind words. They mean a lot to me. I’m so glad that you’ve read and lime my writing, and that you’ve taken the time to tell me. It makes me all happy and smiley.

10. Pick a writer to co-write a book with and tell us what you’d write about.A famous writer I'd love to co-author with would probably be Maggie Steifvater or Leigh Bardugo. But someone I'd be most likely to co-author with would be my cousin, my brother @filmsoncanvas, or my best friends @a-slip-on-the-keyboard and @tubuxis.

11. Describe your writing process from scratch to finish.Disorganised, messy, probably an publisher's worst nightmare. I never keep to deadlines, my notes are literally scattered in random places across my house. I begin with my brainstorming and planning process, which is millions (I exaggerate, 25 pages is the most brainstorming and planning I've ever done) of handwritten notes, mindmaps, pieces of paper filled with relevant words etc. Then I move onto research, which, depending on the genre, setting, time period, etc., can be anywhere between 5 pages and 100 pages, at the very least.I then plot out what is going to happen in each chapter from the prelim plan I worked out earlier for the general plot, fleshing it out, and then I begin to write it. And so the nightmare begins. I tend to write it all out and then revise and rewrite the first draft all in one go. I've known some people do it chapter by chapter, but I don't have the patience or attention span.

15. Where does your inspiration come from?Many places. Books, films, tv shows. I get a lot of inspiration from things I read, whether it's an entire book, or a line from a magazine, or even a quote from someone or something. Reading often inspires me. Art does too, and so does nature and life around me, but not always to the same extent that reading does.

17. On average, how much writing do you get done in a day?At the moment, with exams, school and studying, uni prep, going up and down the country like a yo-yo, work, and taking care of my mother and grandmother, I don't have as much time for writing as I'd like. However, during the holidays, I'm going to aim for at least 3 or 4 hours a day in between work and responsibilities.

18. What’s your revision or rewriting process like? Nightmarish. It honestly does not bear thinking about it. It's bad enough for fanfics. I can't imagine what it's going to be like for my first draft of my novel. I don't think I want to imagine it. It's no so much that I've made lots of grammatical or spelling errors, but that I find lots of parts that I want to edit, or change, or write a different way, but then it's like a domino effect/cascade, and I have to change other parts of the story to make the revised parts fit. Nightmare.

His mind was racing. Todoroki’s in love with me? And Kacchan? In love with us? Was he telling the truth? Of course he was, he was talking to Jirou. It would be different if Todoroki said it directly to him, but he was talking to Jirou. I know they are friends, so it is unlikely that he would lie to her. Also it sounds like he was crying. Yes. He was definitely crying. Which most likely means he was telling the truth and that he really loves me. 

“Deku.” Izuku heard a deep raspy voice call his name. That was when he realised that he had made it to the kitchen where Katsuki was cooking breakfast for the dorm. “Come get your plate. You’re the last one out.”

“Heh.. sorry…” Izuku spoke quietly, before walking into the kitchen to grab the plate with his breakfast on it. But before he could reach it, Katsuki wrapped an arm around his waist. 

“You have no idea how often I thought about doing this before.” he spoke and leaned down to place a soft kiss on the shorter boys lips. 

Izuku placed his hands on Katsuki’s hard chest and leaned into the kiss. It was something he thought about too. A lot. But now his thoughts were jumbled. Not only because of this new relationship with Kacchan, but because of Todoroki.

Katsuki nipped at Izuku’s lip causing him to gasp, snapping out of his thoughts. Katsuki, oblivious to Izuku’s thoughts, took this chance to deepen the kiss. He set the plate down and brought his other hand to Izuku’s jaw, humming into the kiss. He moved his hand to tangle his fingers in Izuku’s curly hair. 

“Ew. We prepare our food here you know.” Jirou walked into the kitchen with a snarky remark. “I hope that just because you’re dating now it doesn't mean we all have to suffer through your PDA”

Bakugou pulled away from the kiss and looked at Jirou, “First of all, headphones, you don't prepare your food in here, I prepare everyone's food in here, so be grateful. And two, I will kiss my boyfriend whenever and wherever I want, thank you very much.”

Time went on. And Izuku wasn’t sure if Todoroki was more distant, or if he was imagining it. He was thinking about a lot of things. 

Katsuki was around more. Izuku used to think that if they ever dated, Kacchan would be the tsundere type. But actually he loved showing off. He loved saying the words, ‘my’ and ‘mine.’ He wanted everyone to know, but wasn’t obnoxious about it either. He really was a different person behind the mask. When it was just the two of them it was like Katsuki was a whole new man. And Izuku would think about this a lot more, if he could stop focusing on what Todoroki might think. If Todoroki would still be interested in the soft Kacchan behind his wall of King Explosion Murder. 

Todoroki was filling his every thought, at this point. At first it started as analysing. Why does Todoroki like me? Why does Todoroki like Kacchan? Does he really like us? Is it possible for him to like both of us? Is it possible for anyone to like two people at once? Is it morally right to be thinking about Todoroki this much when I’m with Kaachan? 

But then it became more than that. From paying so much attention to the stoic boy, he started to notice things. The way Todoroki holds himself. Confident, but not arrogant. The way his hair falls into his face so perfectly. How he tenses up when the number one hero is mentioned. And how he relaxes when he isnt thinking about his family. The look on his face in battle, that serene calmness, contrasted severely by his fierce eyes. How much he wanted to hold his face in his hands and place soft kisses on his scar. 

Then he began to notice things within himself. How he seems to track Todoroki whenever they’re in the same room. How he became more nervous around the boy. He spent hours and hours thinking. He spent sleepless nights, crying, because of his inability to sort his thoughts. He did endless research, filling notebook after notebook with information about non-monogamy and polyamory. It was almost obsessive. He spent night after night like this.

Katsuki was bound to notice at some point. And he did.
