Okay. I've been tip-toeing around this AU for a while now, but I just got caught up, and now I think I have a (decent) grasp on what's going on. So I wanna go over everything I know so far to see if I'm right or wrong on anything. Don't know if you'd be willing to correct me or not. Either way, I hope my mistakes can help you understand what to clarify to other fans like me. But, I also have some questions. You probably won't be able to answer most of them, but it's at least worth a shot.

First, where's Venus? Like, why is she not in your comics that are (sort of) separate frome the canon now story. The ones that skip to the future way after all the turtles reunite. Did she die? Did she escape? Is it because she wasn't introduced yet when you made those comics?

Two, why do you keep on making references to the future timeline? I know you're planning on possibly making your own stuff leading up to the events of the movie. It just gives me a jumpscare when I see certain...imagery in those comics. I guess you're hinting at what your version of the future apocalypse would look like, but it just hurts to see. Specifically in the comic explaining both the events and aftermath of the movie and the bad future timeline. It's starting to really confuse my brain as to where this story is headed. What's meant to be the main focus? The Hamto's reuniting? The aftermath? Or the future?

Third, did you make all those min-comics before you started the actual AU? Or did you do them during?

Fourth, are any of those mini-comics relevant to the actual story now? Or have you changed your mind on a few things? It's just that everything is so all over the place, I don't really know whether to trust if they're accurate. I know most of them are just there for funzies, but the longer ones concern me. I guess I'm just not used to the storyteller doing sequel, start, prequel, start, sequel, prequel, prequel, sequel, and then end. Or maybe it's just me, and I'm sleep deprived.

My little observation speech is gonna take a while for me to get out in your asks because when I get theoretical, my speech gets long, and my proper English goes down the drain. So I'll be back. I appreciate your work very much. Despite the pain it causes me, it's still amazing.

I’ll try my best to clear up what confusion I can!

1. As far as Venus. The answer is kind of a mix of, I was still figuring out her design and backstory while coming out with some of those early comics, and then, once I had that down, I wanted the boys to grow strong bonds as a main cast. That’s why a lot of the side characters are only making small appearances in the Sep!AU Life stories, as those are mainly for the boys reconnecting. (Usagi shows up the most because I love him and am totally biased towards him).

This maybe hasn’t been stated outright, but I wasn’t really expecting so many ppl to like Vee as much as they do, and now im trying not to spoil too much of her story. It’ll unfortunately just take us a while to get to the meat of it. Since the boys reconnecting takes up a lot of the early s1s2 story, Im trying to follow the familiar Rise blueprint of Draxum, Shredder, Krang, and then in s3 we’ll have crazy fun new stories with the extra characters.

Ive also decided to take this little nugget from one of the Q&As, and use it for Venus instead of Jennika. It was a much needed bit of inspiration to explain why Venus sorta disappears for a while and will go through some major physical changes (not yet revealed) before the family can figure out a way to reach her.

2. I’m not sure if you mean jump scared in a bad/triggering or neutral way, but if you need me to tag anything on those posts please let me know!

The glimpses of the future timeline, are being scattered throughout wherever they parallel the present story in little ways, but that’s only for now. As we get closer to the movie plot, bigger chunks of the future will be revealed, because the future versions of the boys will have a larger role to play in the present timeline. So we will need more backstory than what the canon got. And also I just enjoy drawing my future versions so sometimes I don’t think too hard on a reason. I just like throwing them at ppl with no warning or reason.

When s2 ends, I plan on collecting all the future related stuff that’s been released, and recapping it for easier reading. Right now, it’s just little sprinkles of foreshadowing to give ppl an idea that, ‘oh crap. The doomed timeline is a bummer’. In my mind, I guess i thought it’d be kinda like a fun scavenger hunt for clues, but maybe ppl don’t like that 😅

3. All of the side-stories were written as the main comic was/is being released. A lot of them resulted from asks that just spawned the need to expand on certain ideas, or a desire to give all the turtles their time to shine.

For instance, when I was doing Donnie’s section of the main comic, it was a good few months where we hardly saw anyone but him and Venus. I wanted to just mix it up, and give Raph some love with his ‘Raph Time’ short. When Leo was front and center in the main, we hardly saw the others, so Mikey and Donnie got their little ‘Secrets’ short (and it was also I fun thank you for EW making it so far in the tmnt sep competition).

4. Anything that has been reworked/revised or just plain dropped should have an ‘Edit’ note because yes—I have gone back and changed some things, but more so from the asks i got in the early days, and some movie idea drafts.

All the short comics done in the last year, especially the ones that are listed in my pinned post, are canon and fall somewhere in the timeline. They’re like supplemental reading though—extra meat to give the world and the characters more personality. They do have particular backstory plot and important info in them, but nothing that shouldn’t eventually be re-visited/repeated in the main story.

um I hope that cleared up some things! I know it’s kind of a crazy amount of lore. I’ve tried my best to organize it in the pinned post, huge timeline, and search bar tags, but I know it’s getting harder and harder for newer ppl to jump in as it just get bigger. Thanks for reading regardless!

Von kaiser:

-Since he is a little old for boxing he is thinking of jobs to do alongside being a boxing teacher. Him and king hippo have like little dad meeting about it and try to find the best job for kaiser

-In his prime I imagine he was in the major circuit and has befriended bear hugger (he already knows hondo from hondo's minor circuit days!)

-collects Barbies and has the most AMAZING dream house ( plays like little girls with Heike meaning stuff like Ken and Barbie divorce)

Things i demand wish to see from MCU Spiderman moving forward:

—Mature and confident Peter who is able to take charge of any situation as an experienced hero

Yes, except no. He's still 17 at the end of NWH. Yes, he's way overpowered and has been through a ton of crap and lost so much, but he's still a kid. An adolescent. An immature human. If he's 25? Sure. I'm all over confident, adult Peter. But if it's right after, and he's like 18/19? Still a kid, and he needs support and mentoring. Even if he's 25, he needs support.

—Spiderman swinging all over NY🕸🕸🕸🕸🕸

Yes, please. New York is his place. I want to see him in New York, but I’d also like to see the citizens of New York step up for him. There was so much heart in Spider-Man 2 when the New Yorkers protected and helped Peter. 

—Fun and complex fight scenes!!!!!!! Peter webbing ppl up during fights, hand to hand combat, using the environment for attacks.

YES. I want to see the Avengers in “our” world. The space stuff just never hits the same. Or the inner space stuff. (Looking at you, Quantumania. While I enjoyed-ish the movie, my favorite part was at the beginning where Scott was just walking around being kind of normal…) And Spider-man belongs in New York.

What I'd like to see? Really?

There are all sorts of stories that would be interesting, but I don't want a brand new "reset" Spider-man. I want to see him dealing with what happened in NWH, but finding ways to make it better, build a new team, get the support he needs and deserves while they fight against some bigger issue. Kingpin would be just fine.

I'd love to see Peter joining up with Kate, Yelena, Cassie, and Kamala. I'd love to see Bucky and Sam, or Clint (and Clint's kids!!!) becoming part of his life and helping continue to mentor him. Captain Marvel, Rhodey, ANYONE. Help this hero out while he finds his footing again after so much loss and trauma.

Happy and Pepper. Morgan. Anyone, seriously. And I'd love to see Peter get some counseling that is actually helpful.

EVERYTHING I SAY IS MY THEORY AND OPINION NONE OF IT IS FACT!!!

First, this show would be labeled as a Hulu original and I’m not sure which studio would back it. The Hulu Original team is very very small so I’m hoping they bring more than just that team in. Obviously they have Sarah and that other guy (his name is escaping me) so I’m sure they’re fine.

Disney owned 60% of Hulu up until yesterday. They’re buying it in full for like 8 billion which to me is fucking wild since everyone in Hollywood is struggling rn. I thought they were supposed to be selling not buying but that’s above me.

Second, Disney has been saying for years now that they want adult content and buying Fox was supposed to help them with that. I’m not sure they’re ready to make that leap yet. Audiences are so unsure of their usual content like animated movies and marvel. I’m looking forward to Wish but I’m not sure it will live up to be the ‘100 years story’ it’s supposed to be. And if it doesn’t that’s going to be a huge slap in the face and it should be a wake up call.

The only adult content Disney has been actively pushing is the Simpsons. It’s on the D+ banner all the time and it streams on Hulu. Honestly the Simpsons isn’t even that adult I’ve been watching it since I was a kid. Yes it has the inappropriate jokes and stuff but if kids are watching it it’s not that adult. And they have a section in the universal theme park soo…

Ever since Disney bought 20th Century Fox and rebranded it to just 20th Century Studios they have been sticking those movies and shows on Hulu. It would not surprise me if there was never a proper release for 20th Century in theaters again. Unless it’s a big name movie, but even that one with Ana De Armas and Ben Affleck went straight to streaming.

That being said, my theory is that now Disney has full control of Hulu that’s going to be the home for everything Fox/20th Century no matter what. And that Disney will treat it like a black label streaming service if you know what I mean. Like all their stuff they consider not for kids and TV-MA will live there.

I feel like my theory is right given that the trailer for Echo came out today and it’s going to stream on both platforms bc of how violent it is. That’s a good thing to me bc that story needs to be violent and we need the Netflix era marvel vibe back.

But back to ACOTAR, if a studio backs it it’ll probably be 20th Century. And Ik ppl are saying HBO would be a better home for this type of content. I think they can absolutely give ACOTAR a big ass budget bc that’s Disney money. They just have to spend it right.

Streamers like Amazon for example have produced good fantasy/sci-fi stuff with good vfx. I Never thought they could produce The Boys until it came out and the Lord of the rings spin-off.

I think it’s about how they spend the money and what they can give to vfx. Bc of that, Make-up, and costuming will make or break them in the overall visual aspect.

If done right this show can be their game of thrones, and it should be! This is a huge get for them! But that’s my theory, I’m sorry this was so long lol

Makes it just a little more difficult watching those movies now….same with any other films, Pixar or Disney, that he was involved in….

Stuff Joss Whedon worked on, from Buffy to the first two Avengers movies. There’s lots of reports on this. Needless to say, I’m glad Marvel fired him.

She Who Must Not Be Named, the creator of the biggest franchise of a generation and the very destructor of said franchise. Like many, I’ve cut that book franchise out of my life entirely and refuse to ever engage with it again.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller pixel-fucked Sony Pictures Animation over the making of Across the Spider-Verse. You’d think they’d have a better understanding of how animated films are made, but their actions behind the scenes of this movie say otherwise.

Related to that, almost all animation studios screw over their workers, (including indie studios, yes, Spindlehorse is sadly one of them), who are overworked and underpaid. When the Animation Guild’s contract runs out next year, expect an animator’s strike that’s been long overdue.

And even more related to that, VFX artists are also screwed over by EVERYONE. They’re even the coiners of the term “pixel-fucking” that I used describing the treatment of the artists behind Spider-Verse. Marvel Studios is one of the worst offenders of this, especially when directors do not understand how to do VFX. And because VFX artists aren’t unionized (which they should be), they are often underpaid and overworked, and it is one of the most thankless jobs in Hollywood. I could write a whole essay on how the VFX industry is treated alone. It’s BAD.

And of course, anything under big corporations, who don’t give two shits about their workers and have no qualms replacing them with AI. Why do you think the SAG-AFTRA strike is going on right now? And none of them will budge.

Independent or not….no media is free from abuse or bad behavior. Almost seems like you gotta be awful to be successful. That’s sad, really…

But of course, many of these examples are related to either capitalism and executive meddling, the sexist culture we live in, and the abusive culture we live in.

I wanna say it was just cool of me to be that way bc I was into having good posture but I’m like 90% sure it was because I read skip beat and I really liked that kyoko stood that way.

14. favorite subject in school?

math by farrrr. literature is dependent on the teacher for quality imo and while I enjoyed it I was always a bit sad that we never did any creative writing. math is just very nicely methodical.

honestly I don’t have one. like I’d love to publish a book some day but I don’t want it to be my Job. im pretty satisfied just doing smthing productive-feeling and where I have enough free time tbh.

a gifmaker's guide to captioning their sets

this guide refers to captions as in the accessible kind of captions (plain text), not hardcoded into the gif; if you, like me, have been hoodwinked, bamboozled, and led astray by tumblr's nifty little so-called “caption” function (the three dots that appear under photos you put into the editor), this guide is for you.

also helpful to all gifmakers interested in accessibility. even if you have no idea what i’m talking about i highly encourage you to give this guide a read to help make your sets more accessible to people in general.

i won’t be going over other media types; this is a guide i developed through my own research for gifmakers like me. it goes without saying i might not have all the info so feel free to reply with any additions you have.

1. basics

first things first, what’s a caption, and why do we use them?

what i call a caption is also commonly referred to as an image id or an image description. they’re text blocks under an image that describe what an image looks like, primarily for the visually impaired.

they’re useful for people who can’t see your images and might use screen readers. this is where alt text comes in; this is text that you put in your image that is invisible to those without screen readers but can be read by a screen reading program. 

it’s a good practice to caption ur stuff bc the visually impaired do watch movies/tv and they deserve to enjoy our creations! not saying you gotta do it for everything but captioning your creations is a good start bc you're responsible for what u put out at the end of the day. it’s a rlly good way to make this site more accessible. you can’t control if other ppl caption or not but you can control if you do! 

if you’re like me you might have been using something on tumblr’s old text editor (because the beta editor is dogshit) that looks like this:

if you are under the impression that this thing is alt text, it is not. i have no clue why this function exists other than to hoodwink you into believing it is alt text, except your “alt text” won’t appear anywhere but the tumblr desktop if you click on an image. 

alt text only truly exists in tumblr’s new editor, but that editor will make your gifset look like dogshit on any desktop theme other than the basic tumblr one.

so now the only good way to caption your gifset is below the photos themselves, in the text box where you’d normally put information like the movie/show name or insp. or something. 

this is not alt text, it’s visible to everyone, so you might want to keep it concise so a) the people using the description aren’t bogged down in a very long paragraph full of details that distract from the main point and b) so the people not using the description don’t have to scroll past a large body of text.

i personally like to do it like this:

show/movie name

director/episode/etc info. basically ur normal caption under the accessibility caption - that way it’s easy to tell the description for the gifs is directly under them.

2. what to write

i said this before but i think with gifs at least, being concise and getting to the main point is important. since we have multiple gifs in a set a lot of the time, it's easy to get really bogged down in the details.

it helps to just describe the actions going on in a gif, over the surroundings. for example, with this gif, i'm going to focus on what ted's doing rather than the details of where he is and what he looks like:

instead of [Caption: Ted is beatboxing in a blue locker room. He is a white man with brown hair and a brown mustache. He is wearing a black sweater on top of a blue shirt. End caption.]

that second one is more descriptive, sure, but when it's combined with a bunch of other gifs, it becomes too much and you end up with a long paragraph where what Ted looks like and his surroundings and his clothing overshadow what he's doing.

of course, if you only have one gif, you can go ahead and be descriptive like that. but most of us are using multiple gifs, and if you have a lot of descriptions like that second one, you're gonna end up with a very long block of text that is going to be tedious to get through for everyone.

for example, this is my caption for this gifset in all:

[Caption: A gifset of Ted Lasso. Two scenes are paralleled. Scene 1: Ted beatboxes in front of Keeley, who says, “I never know how to react when a grown man beatboxes in front of me.” Scene 2: Ted does the Carlton dance in front of Roy, who says, “I never know how to react when a grown man does the Carlton in front of me.” End caption.]

all together now, those descriptions (which i combined together to make it flow better) have formed a good sized paragraph. if i had included descriptions of Keeley and Roy and the rooms they were in, that paragraph would easily become super long. it becomes easy for the person reading the description to lose track of what's happening.

that's why it's easiest to use a shorter description. i've seen 8-gif aesthetic sets just described as "8 gifs of this character from this show," and that's honestly more helpful than nothing! the point of those types of sets is just to showcase the character so that's really all you need.

plus, that's less work for you to do as well. you don't need to sit there writing blocks of text, just a short description of what you giffed will do :)

3. tl;dr

write your captions in plain text where you'd write your show/movie title and other info. keep it short. and try to caption ur gif creations if u can't do it for everything.

it also helps to have an undescribed tag. i just made mine and updated it with a tag editor so it's on all my posts now.

I was musing about this this morning bc it sort of just hit me and it is a minor revelation about my hobbies and whatnot that I think is important or fun or whatever to share it so here goes

in university one of our teachers once said smth like "whenever I'm hiring someone I ask what shows they like and they say they don't really watch tv I don't hire them bc how can you think you know how to do this job if you don't even engage w it?" and I was like I guess that makes sense. he was talking about writing for tv and that's not what I ever wanted to do so I never really put two and two together that he would possibly be talking about the stuff that I wanted to do too, like publishing my own graphic novels, but like...I don't read a lot of comics! I really don't! if a publisher asked me what my favourite was I'd say W.I.T.C.H. bc that is true, I loved reading those growing up, but aside from that I almost never read comics!! I don't read webcomics!! I don't buy comics at the store!! does that mean I'm bad for wanting making them to be my career??

I just find making them so much more engaging than reading them. I dont rly want to read them all the time lol I love art and drawing so fucking much but I do it way more often than I take it in. I'm not saying I never read comics at all, but it is rare. they're fun to look at on occasion but the joy I feel from reading them is tiny compared to the joy I feel from making them

bringing this back to AURORA bc she endlessly inspires me, I found out at one point early on in my admiration of her that she almost never listens to music despite being crazy talented at making it bc she says it's just distracting and most music is like noise to her, and at the time I was like huh that's weird, but now?? after having this realization about myself this morning?? I never read comics!! I barely watch tv or movies!! I just love drawing and writing stories so much I rarely watch anything and according to my old teacher that would make me an unhireable person but look at AURORA. she doesn't listen to music and she's still amazing at making it.

so whenever an interviewer asks me what shows or comics or whatever I'm into I'm probably gonna have to lie for them to take me seriously bc they cant fathom that someone can be good at something unless they also read/listen/watch it a lot. idk. I've known this about AURORA for ages but it only clicked now that I actually completely understand where she's coming from. I don't with music, I listen to music all the time and write it myself as a hobby, but in regards to my actual career of drawing and making comics. I don't absolutely NEVER read comics but it is something I do extremely rarely

I just think it's nice that she's living proof that my old teacher was wrong and you can be great at a craft without constantly watching/reading/listening to other people's work. I mean maybe I'm actually bad at it and nobody's told me yet! that's true! but it does sort of make me feel better about never knowing what to say when ppl ask me what stuff I'm into, bc it feels like nowadays I never watch anything and I'm always self conscious that it makes me terrible at doing it. and since art is subjective, you can never be terrible at it. there's always gonna be people who love what you've drawn or written. so if you wanna make a career out of your craft and you almost never spend time looking at the work that other people make, that's okay!! you can still be good if you don't do that!!!!

Head cannons for Sam!

She had the biggest crush on Selena Gomez when she was little she was OBSESSED with wizards of Waverly place. I'm taking bedspread, posters, toys when they had the dress like ur fav Disney star clothes in target she lost her shit!

She likes to draw. She doodles here and there it's all over her notes for school Miguel likes to borrow them so he can see what she drew for today. When she figures this out she starts to draw little comics for him on the sides. He'll add to them but he's AWFUL compared to her.

Hey i really love your blog!!! I just plucked the courage to actually send u an ask fhdjhd but GOSH i love your video edits and your gifs and your meta article posts, you're so articulate and you can explain/describe moments in a way that makes me go "oh wow, i cant believe i haven't seen it that way before!!" Haha ANYWAYS i'm just here to say that i completely agree with what all u said, Free creators might do a lil fanservice here and there for the 25 ships that exists within the fandom's circle, but rinharu's storyline is clearly the most romantic one! And i'd argue it's the one closest to being canon esp after part 1, i mean the fact that they put such an explosive emotional outburst right at the end of the second to the last movie means a lot. It's like reinforcing the fact that this series has always been about them, and everything that has happened only happened either because they met or they grew appart and miss eachother. I kinda feel like maybe.. juust maayyybe there's a chance KA wants to make the ship canon, since it's the last movie and they want to end it on a highnote maybe (bcs honestly i think the only reason they've been holding back is purely bcs of the merch sales, since they don't have a problem showing a wholesome lesbian love story in kobayashi maid dragon) butt i could be wrong, maybe i'm just overly optimistic and delusional, they could somehow ruin it and give an ending that panders to all the ships again 😅🥲, but at least there's a clear-cut guarantee that part 2 would dedicate a large portion of it fixing rin and haru's fight!!! Well, you know me, I only care for one ship, which is the only one with confirmed info that they're both actually gay and have mutual feelings for each other. There are some other ships in free! I'm fine with (those do not include Rin or Haru in them xD), but I just mostly don't care, bc after reading all the stuff, you can see that in some of those to one the other one is actually like his second option, which I just do not like. Others I just don't even see, bc again to me who witnessed great close male friendships and having two sisters who I'm very close to, I just do not see anything romantic in that.

It's not just Free! tbh, it's like any sports anime these days. They see two guys walking together, it's a ship. And like no one cares if they're just bros. Like I'd get i they did some fanservice fanservice, but like I never saw anyone in Free! crossing the line the way rinharu do. I can without thinking much name you 10 rh moments that no matter how hard you think can't be explain as being bros, but can't name one when it comes to others. I just find some ppl shipping everyone with everyone weird sometimes. It's like western fans see like some eastern actors or singers slap each other ass lovingly and they're like "oh they're fucking" I'm like "yeah, ofc all 500 of them, you're absolutely right". It's just our point here is that like... no one forced them to go there (I mean its not like this whole fandom has some wild expectations or anything already), we were waiting or our usual friendship and swimming and maybe tiny conflict about struggles of pro-careers and some usual rh implications (maybe all the rh gay in dramas as always). Not some pure fanfiction coming to life here haha.

Like why I'm laughing is bc I twice used in my "fics" bringing up him leaving Haru as a force to push the confession, bc there's no way if he adresses this it won't lead to this. And now we not only have this (bc Haru just basically layed it out there), but an actual scene of him playing on their feelings for each other and a literal image of Rin leaving and "taking Haru's heart with him" to the point when he's for the first time in his life openly crying on the ground. And it's not like this scene can be interpreted as anything else, the whole fandom talks same, bc the whole fight was just about them, what Haru said was just about them, there's a literal boom of his heart getting out of his chest, before he falls and now he's heartless.

So our question is like... why go there?

It's like some say that they might still resolve it with "they're special to each other" and swimming, but still like we already knew that, there was no reason to go that far is what I'm saying. And to think that it was planned since forever giving the clues is like... ???

The whole spoon theme also throw me on the loop because like, lets be honest, it's wedding themed. And that part of the interview about part 2 there also made me go...?????? Because I mean, huh?

This is just all in all very interesting turn of events to say the least. I do not see the point of all of this if its not what I think it is, esp after seeing tweets like "even I see a rh wedding and I'm mh T_T". It's just all very unsubtle, that's why we're confused.

Like who knows, maybe we'll really by some magic turn of events get lucky and they really decided that since its the ending, it's okay to go for it. But I also don't wanna to hype myself much, I'm already really happy with it, just bc again, this scene already proves all of my points.

And yeah, I'm sure they'll pander to everyone, bc it's the end and etc and we have to handle everything on the good note and there's a whole line of ppl who's obsessed with us, esp with Haru xD, but like bromance pandering and romance pandering are different things, you know *wiggles eyebrows* and u know who always gets the second one.

when chandler kissed cathy while she was still having something with joey, he was hella guilty so chandler went ahead and looked for someone to take the boat.

this boat specifically.

he was just desperate to get rid of it just so he could quickly get new furniture and you, having just gotten a new job in the city, decide to look for ads on the newspaper and chandler catches you looking through the boat listings.

nervous, he tapped your shoulder and laughed in an attempt to come off as nonchalant before introducing himself. “hi,” he started, looking you up and down before adding, “kid.” AT THIS POINT HE IS DYING INSIDE FHFJEE

you cringed, disbelieving. you were used to ppl thinking you were younger but this one in particular made you want to laugh. “kid?”

“er — no?”

“i’m your age,” you tell him, looking him up and down, “i think.” you shook your head, waiting for him to explain himself.

“do you want a boat?”

now, the answer to this question was yes but you wanted to have fun ofc so you decided to ask him questions he probably didn’t know the answer to (because they weren’t even real questions) like does this boat have a ploreglader? does the hoof of this boat have an extra bronch?

you found the sight of him just standing there hella funny but you admitted you were joking and dropped the newspapers you were holding as you told him to lead you where this boat of his was, waiting for him to lead you to the docks. when he began leading you to his apartment you were hella freaked and about to go apeshit on him when he opened the door to show you an empty apartment save for a damn canoe.

“oh, shit, you weren’t joking,” you scoffed. “but this is a canoe.”

“which is technically a boat.”

“no, i’m sorry, i can’t take this.” but you did anyway, but only after you convinced him to flip the boat and hide under it. he explained the situation about the boat and the cathy girl he kissed and you two just became friends. you handed him cash for the boat. at first, he was all OoH iTS AlRigHt blEh bLeh but you convinced him again anyway.

you also helped him get the rest of the new furniture up: “geez, how much did this cost you?”

“my life savings, but that’s alright, cathy’s got nine lives.”

just right before you left with someone to take your new canoe, you left chandler the number to your answering machine.

HEADCANONS ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP

— after chandler had the sad phase after things ended between him and cathy, he mentioned you to rachel, monica, and phoebe. they practically call you [Y/N] the boat gal now. after chandler told the other guys about you, the name [Y/N] the boat gal got known in the friend group. he didn’t really know how to contact you by that point. why?

— okay so joey lost the number you left because he had to wipe a meatball that fell of his plate and chandler just forgot all about it until he came into central perk and saw you talking with ross. on your way out, you spot him too and you’re like “charles! kidding, how’ve you been chandler?”

— basically the news about chandler meeting you again spread to the group already and the very next day they wanted to get to know you already. chandler had asked you to go out sometime after he told you things ended between him and cathy.

— ross knew you because your team of forensic scientists was working with his own, and he was just greeting you to be polite and the entire gang was asking questions about u and stuff like that

— “oh, guess she finally got the job she wanted for. that’s right, joe, people tell me their stories too.”

— and just basically chandler being hella supportive and i’m 100% sure he loves making you laugh. imagine offering to take him out for a boat ride too-
