Obiwan Kenobi Ep 5 Spoilers!!!

I honestly don’t think the flashback scenes were vader or obi remembering but more like to show that, yes, Anakin is darth vader now, but there’s things that won’t change. Anakin’s urge to win for example.

The scenes were placed specifically for that. When ani won we saw vader holding the ship, thinking that vader won. But then Obiwan outsmarted him in both the flashbacks and the “present”

Obi Wan Kenobi is shot like they think it's Saving Private Ryan but without all of the elements that make that movie work. The way Spielberg shot it was designed to make you feel like you are there on the beach, so the camera is handheld but everything is in frame and the takes are LONG to ground you in the dirt with those soldiers. It's shot like a documentary crew was imbedded in the landing, the camera is down on the ground hiding from same gunfire as the soldiers.

Obi Wan just looks like the cameraman tripped during every single take and they cobbled together some rapid cut patchwork monstrosity rather than just putting the camera on a fucking dolly. Maybe it's to make it seem more intense because it was just two groups blasting at each other from across an open room (seriously thank God stormtroopers couldn't hit a wall at point blank range because those rebels didn't even TRY to hide behind anything other than Obi Wan as he blocked like 2 shots). But we already know there's a way to make that intense because George Lucas managed it on a decimal point of the budget this series presumably has in the very first movie in the very first scene! There's nothing scarier than a small group of rebels trying to repel an endless stream of Stormtroopers, that's the microcosm of the entire rebellion. We just need to be able to fucking SEE IT!

Anakin 🤝 Father of Mortis

I'm hoping that Anakin has taken the role of the Father that we saw him reject in the Mortis arc of TCW and thats why we're seeing him in the world between worlds. Consider, after his redemption in ROTJ he does the place of the father. He fulfills the prophecy of Balance & continues to be the middle ground of the Force.

It could explain why we see him as having full control of both light and dark as we see him shifting seamlessly between Jedi and Sith in ep5 of Ahsoka.

It would make sense as to why he can present himself to her...I know people keep saying he's just a force vision which could be right, BUT Jacen and even Hera could hear them duelling.

And Hera isn't exactly force sensitive, at least not like Jacen, idk how she would be able to hear a vision going on inside ahsokas head?

Y'all Obi-Wan calls Ahsoka "our padawan" in season 5 of the clone wars! I don't know if by "our" he meant the jedi order or just "Anakin and himself" but I will go with the second interpretation.

I have 1 gripe with Ahsoka episode 5.

You’re telling me it never once came up that Anakin killed Obi-Wan? He even mentioned him and Ahsoka never thought to bring up the fact that he murdered his master, her Grandmaster?

I can probably write a whole entire essay about the journeys that obi-wan and ahsoka go on in their respective shows and how they're both so similar and yet so different, and how it works for both of them

After years of getting hate on the prequels, years of bullying for liking prequels and years of defending Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, I can't even explain how amazing it feels to see Hayden Christensen validated and appreciated for the amazing job he did (and is still doing) as Anakin!
