Inuyasha x Sleeping Beauty crossover 2

Since I had a request to do Kagome and Koga for Snow White I decided I wanted to do Inuyasha and Harumi for Sleeping Beauty. I did do the ending for Sleeping Beauty for Inuyasha and Harumi but I thought the waking of the princess would be a good project to do too. Since Aurora is one of my favorite princesses I had fun doing this one too.😊❤️

Don’t mind me, just been thinking lately about what type of outfit Lilac would wear to the Yule Ball with either Ominis or Garreth. For a bit of personal info, I’ve always liked the idea of couples’ cosplay & I have no shame inserting that sort of interest into Lilac. ((And another thing, I’m ignoring the game’s time period here.))

For Lilac & Ominis, the outfit choice was easy. I’d have them go to the Yule Ball dressed as Prince Hans & Princess Anna. ((Specifically what they both wore to Elsa’s coronation.)) Simply for the fact that I think Ominis would look amazing in Prince Hans’s clothes. ((Also just realized that despite Lilac being a Hufflepuff, she would be wearing more Slytherin-like colors for the night.))

Picking outfits for Lilac & Garreth was a bit harder. But I decided They’d either dress as Belle & Prince Adam/The Beast. ((Due to Lilac being a book lover & Belle’s dress being close to Hufflepuff colors))

Or Aurora & Prince Philip. Mainly because I really like the blue version of Aurora’s princess dress. ((Also ngl, I think that red cape Philip wears would look pretty good on Garreth.))

Since Médée is a noble with rank, title, and everything, of course, she'd have a fancy portrait it's basically a requirement for the court. So, I've been compelled to create one using 17th-century portraits for references. It was interesting using the different oil brush tools on my art program.

Also made me put together a photo of the College of Visual References for Médée to keep handy. Which I'm willing to share, it includes screenshots of her outfit, jewelry, the de Gonzague family crest I found on Wikipedia, and Médée's face claim Nadja Michael.

Main countries, were the story takes place:

Araxacy (pronounced a-ra-shaa-cy)

Snow white's kingdom

Means "mother of the land of sunrise" (i made up the name with Tupi* random words)

Passing thro some difficulties after its queen died: the king, Philip Schneewittchen is overwhelmed, and that's why he's seeking for a new partner to rule

The nobles are currently having to administrate their territorries all alone, and most are very poor right now. One among the most prosperous are the von Waldeck lands, in the charge of the viscountess Katarina von Waldeck.

Tibai (ty-ba-ii)

More of an oligarchy than an actual monarchy. The Royal Family doesn't have much influence, not as much as the noble clans spared around the country. All of them reune themselves once or twice a year, to keep their decisions unified, but they are mostly, as powerful as the king. Most are allied, though, or else there would be much conflict (as it had once).

It is a coastal country, known by its huge sea power, and the different clans of nobles have privateer pirates** under their comand, which only serve to ampliate their influence. (Tibaí also means "full of water")

Privateers pirates work for different nobles, and many have issues against one another, but they manage to be as quiet as they can on their conflicts because of the nobles who haired them.

Among a privateer's contract, they have the responsability of beating illegal pirates, arresting illegal imigrants and beating Tibai's enemies in the ocean. They have many privillegies for doing this work.

Snow White and her friend, June, find out about the Queen's plans and run away from their country (after the queen finds out they are against her and tries to... hm, "prevent" them) to here. In Tibai, they meet this privateer pirate (she works for a noble clan i will go further in later) and after she finds out who Snow White is (she suspected it already) and why they ran out of their country, she offers to helping them.

Ibipyo (Y-by-py-o)

Ibipyo is a really rich country. Its name mean "land of gold" and it was a great mineration center in old times. It still is.

It is way far from Tibai than from another countries, but is Araxacy's neighboour, the oy thing separing the two kingdoms, a wild huge forest. It is the country Snow White and her friends go after Tibai.

They went there in search for possible allies against the queen, since it is close there and very powerful. When they reach there, (it is a very long way from Tibai to Ibipyo) however, the queen of the country faces a huge problem: Her oldest and only son has disappeared. The heir, prince Cauan, is somehow gone.

They manage to find him (long story) and send him back to the queen, getting her allyship. The prince also goes with them (it's now a team of four)

*tupi is a south-american indigenous language, one that influenced largely the brazilian language. All these countries were named with this language.

**Privateer pirates: licensed pirates who work for the government. (Like One Piece's.) In England, back on old days, the queen Elisabeth haired pirates and gave them permission to navigate, with a free pass among her seas. In exchange, the pirates would attack unwanted ships of other countries, like Spain's.

Some general lore and culture:

Patterns: people use many colorful patterns in popular clothing here. They mostly look like those from African culture.

Gender roles are weak here

My game, my rules: I get to decide what kinf of real world prejudices and fucked up dynamics they have, and there is no mysoginy (in this world this is a thimg from the past, they are civilized enough to have gender equality***), no racism (slavery and imperialism were inexistent in this history)

They are pretty queerphobic here, tho; this is important for conflict in my story****

In some kingdoms, like in Araxacy, it is common to rule in couples; in others, like in Ibipyo, one single ruler is enough, there is the Monarch (in this case, queen Jessica), their consort (the prince's father) and their childs and heir

***Be reminded, though, it still takes place in a 18th century based setting.

****In some stories, also, I worldbuild the thing with other settings: no homophobia, but bissexuality is seen as awful; no racism or queerphobia, but no rights for woman; gender equality and kind of accepting to queer identities, but no space for woman; etc, you name it.

It seems I had a little theme going with this one. None of the other characters fit it though so I'll just do these three. Fitting because Henry and Isolde basically adopt Matilda at the end of the story.

Welcome to Let’s Talk Whump, a series of interviews that spotlight the amazing people in our whump community! I’m Malice and I’ll be your host today. 

Here today to talk all things whumpy is the brilliant @whumpcereal!

It’s great to have you here! Let’s start with a fact or two about yourself  like your favorite color or favorite animal? 

My name is Kay, and I’m a high school teacher in my 30’s. Besides whumping unsuspecting gentlemen, my hobbies include reading a lot, belting out showtunes, cooking for people I love, hitting up new bars and restaurants with friends, and traveling. And since you asked–and as a teacher, I hate unanswered questions–I’ve recently realized that orange might be my favorite color, and I love gorillas. 

What does whump mean to you?

 It’s the sort of pressing-on-a-bruise feeling that is wrapped up in watching someone suffer and then be comforted. It’s the need for vulnerability and human connection. It’s watching Prince Philip get chained to a wall and not understanding why you find it so magnetic, but you do, haha! 

How did you find the whump community? What made you want to join? 

I was writing for the Newsies fandom (I know) during the pandemic, and one of my favorite authors tagged her epic work with “whump.” I clicked the tag on tumblr, and I found @lonesome--hunter’s Ezra almost immediately; I fell down the rabbit hole and never came out. After Ezra, I spent a good long time with @ashintheairlikesnow’s Danny and then @galaxywhump’s Wren. I realized that a lot of what I was putting in my own writing could be classified as “whump,” but I wasn’t sure how to join in the fun. I lurked for a while and then beta-ed for @darkthingshappen before I got brave enough to post my own stuff. But part of what motivated me to start posting was just how supportive and welcoming the whole community is. On AO3, you can get tons of hits but almost no real engagement; with whump, that’s totally different. It makes my little dopamine receptors ping. 

The whump community is amazingly supportive! Do you think your view on or the way you consume whump changed since you joined? 

 I am definitely a hurt/comfort gal. I can’t do the hurt without the comfort, and I need my whump to be strongly oriented in the characters’ feelings, whether we’re talking whumpers or whumpees. I struggle when a character is just getting the shit kicked out of them endlessly; I want them to have some relief, even if the relief is bittersweet or painful in its own way. I also find it easier to whump an OC than I do a fandom character, just because if they’re mine, I can build the kind of backstory that makes the whump reasonable. 

And your favourite whump trope?

 I do like noncon. Whump is a genre where I’ve really been able to explore scary things that have happened to me, and when a whumpee has an honest (and not needlessly gratuitous) nonconsensual experience, I gravitate toward it, especially if they’re allowed to explore the aftermath and how it makes them feel. I also love a mute whumpee–probably because I watched The Little Mermaid too many times growing up. Something about the helplessness of being trapped in your own body and at the mercy of others–hey, whumperflies! Captivity whump too, especially anything in the BBU. The BBU was one of my favorite discoveries when I found the community. It provides such rich opportunities! 

Captivity whump is so good! Would you mind sharing a favourite piece you've written? (the following pieces may contain non-explicit nsfw references)

Ooooh. Well, I guess I’ll choose one from each of my series. For Jack, my first and forever whumpee in Behavior Modification, and his caretaker, my wish-fulfillment fake husband, Joe, it’s this piece with their little girl. It’s something that I wrote in basically a single stretch one afternoon last summer, and I’m proud of it because it shows both how far Jack has come in his recovery and how much everything he’s gone through is still affecting him. It also shows how fierce of a protector Joe is, even though Jack’s got strength of his own. Plus, Hallie, their little girl, was super fun to create. She’s a feisty little thing, and I liked the idea of looking at such a dark, violent system through a child’s eyes. 

For The Kennel, it’s this piece which immediately follows my boy Will after his best friend Tommy is forced to assault him. It’s got the aftermath of noncon, plus it includes a lot of world building for my scary whumper, Doc, and his particular set-up. It really sets up the horror of the situation in which Will and Tommy have found themselves and also emphasizes the stories of other whumpees whose stories I’d love to explore (Justin and Tony, I’m looking at you). Plus, it gives Annie–who’s technically the caretaker in this story, even though she’s been abused herself–a chance to think about how she’s been raised and the way her father treats people. My favorite moment is when Will just breaks down completely, because we haven’t seen him do that yet. It’s a human moment, and he’s feeling so much less than human that it’s almost cathartic. 

And then, honorable mention to this piece where I crossover my two stories and let Jack help Will as his post-rescue counselor. I had so much fun with that reveal! 

Oh wow, I love the Kennel piece! You’ve broken my heart with Justin and Will! Would you like to share your writing routine  with us?

 I’ve actually been riding a bit of a block lately, but typically, I am an evening writer. No drinks or snacks, but usually movie scores that match the mood of what I’m writing. On good nights, it’s big blocks; on others, it’s just a sentence here and there (that’s been where I’m at lately). I try to write a little every day, but again, it’s been rough lately. Being a teacher at the end of the year is just as hard as being a student, haha. 

I can only imagine! Are some things easier for you to write? Anything you struggle with writing?

 I have an easier time writing recovery than I do straight whump, which is sometimes a bummer, because the whump community doesn’t seem to like recovery quite as much. So, I’ll pour myself into a recovery piece I have big feelings about, and then it won’t get quite as much traffic and engagement as when I’m roughing up the boys. I am very careful about how I write noncon. I think I do a decent job, but I try to approach it from a place of sensitivity to the person who is suffering versus engaging through violence alone. That can take a lot of time and thought and big feelings. 

And is there anything you're working on at the moment? 

I do have a fantasy crossover miniseries with Jack, Joe, and Ivan and @oddsconverts’ Josh and Felix that I’ve had a really fun time working on. I need to write a little intro before I post it. I need to go back to Jack and his intimacy consultations at WRU, and AU AU Joe and his reaction to the Drip. Poor Will and Tommy are in desperate need of attention; I need to get Will sold away so all the drama can increase. Maybe during summer vacation? 

Do you have a joke or pun you would like to share to spread some smiles today? I am only funny on accident. Just ask my students. ;-) 

Do you have any writing advice you’d like to share?

I’m great at giving advice to others, but absolute shit at following that advice myself. For instance, write for you. Don’t write for hits, likes, reblogs, etc. Just write what you want to read. Write as often as you can. During the pandemic, what got me back into writing after years of thinking about it was trying to write a little every day. Find you some writing friends who will get excited with you when there’s something you can’t wait to write about.

I'll go off about Grace for now, because she's the one with most development at the moment! And I have a bit of art that I've commissioned of her ♥♥

This here is Grace! Originally, I made her based off of Aurora/Rapunzel and wanted to ship her with Silver. She came as a concept of a Yuu but... then I went back and decided [What if I based her off of Prince Philip's sword and gave her purpose in the story?]

I have a BA in English and one of my favorite topics when I studied was of course the Hero's Journey along with the different ways you can retell a story. My Research paper was an analysis on Disney's Cinderella and what it made it the tale that we know today by comparing the earliest recording of it and both of Disney's movies.

ANYWAYS. I decided to twist Grace from Prince Philip's Sword of Truth but with the addition of bringing in The Sword in the Stone.

While the sword in the stone IS excalibur, if you go by Arthurian Legends there are.... various origin tales (because history mixes with fiction and documentation and exageration,,,, shout out to Lancelot being Malory's OC). SO I WENT WHY NOT ! AFTER ALL TWST CHARACTERS ARE MADE BY MIXING DISNEY CHARACTER TRAITS! (im talking about how deuce is absolutely twisted from jim hawkins as well, i will die on this hill)

But, I wanted to put her with Silver, you know? So, I made her upbringing a mirror of his.

She's the daughter of Duke Lanclos (Lancelot). The Lanclos family has served the Royal Family for centuries, the head of the family always being the King's right hand in battle simply because of the family's UM. I took a page from Idia's UM and how it's like... generational? So, their first first born is the one with the UM that allows them to use a weapon as [Excalibur], but only once per weapon. I guess she could use a tooth pick and cast her UM on it as a weapon HAH.

But the thing is, that until Grace all the other first borns had been boys that were trained to be a commander. So... the families quickly decide that to ensure the next heir be born with the UM that she should be married off to the crown prince as soon as it is possible for her to.... yeah. I place this about 300/400 years before the in-game plot is going down; so it's roughly around the same time the Fae War is going on in Briar Valley?

There are light/day fae and magical humans around. Important solely because you know... sword in the stone... Merlin (Ambrose's ancestor or something). When Grace is around 3-4 a mini war breaks down and he decides to send her off to live with an "aquantaince" of his in the woods. They can get another heir to the throne, but they can't get another sword.

That's when she meets the Lady of the Lake (Thea), a day/light fae who takes her in as a favor to her friend and raises her while training her with the sword. [This here is a direct reference to Lancelot being raised by the Lady of the Lake in some versions, but also a direct parallel to Lilia raising Silver].

Years pass by and Grace never does call Thea "mother" instead choosing to refer to her as "My Lady". By her 12th birthday her magic and UM were blooming, but she doesn't quite master her UM until a bit later. By the time she's 16, Thea gets a letter from the Duchy informing her that a war has broken out and the sword is required to join in battle simply because they know she's been training her. Thea can't even begin to imagine that this child that she sees as her daughter either die in war or live long enough to be simply... made a wife and left to raise children.

On the dawn of Grace's 17th birthday she (Thea) makes the decision to place her in a slumber at the bottom of the lake next to their cottage. [Referencing how Excalibur came from the lake]. She uses a generous amount of her own magic to ensure that her daughter remains protected in slumber where no one can find her. She then shifts her visage to resemble Grace's and joins the battle while pretending to be her.

Now, while Grace IS the sword that comes from the lake, what about the sword in the stone? The sword in the stone is a sword that is used in battle by the Lanclos Family, a family heirloom of sorts and most likely the only weapon able to be used more than once with the UM. It is however made out of iron, which is a fae's weakness (Maleficent reference). So, not only is she low on magic because of the spell she used earlier, but she's also dwindling because of the visage AND burning her hands with this sword. Her visage flickers once or twice and then faces to reveal the revered Lady of the Lake that's only been heard of by word of mouth.

She glances around and decides enough is enough while stabbing the Lanclos Sword onto the ground casting a curse on these lands. Only the true Lanclos heir will be able to pull this sword out, only she will be able to bring prosperity and fertility back. Only she (Thea) knows where the girl is and she passes on with this knowledge.

And so... 300-400 years pass by with these lands barren and nature reclaiming the cottage, surrounding the lake. On one night, a girl wakes up gasping for air and clawing up towards the surface only to see the moon shine down on her as the cold air bites her skin. She manages to drag herself out of the lake, to step around as a comforting presence follows her towards the cottage. Her memory is... more hazy than she would like. Her arms are crossed over herself and her fingers hurt as she rips folliage away from the door to the cottage only to step in and find nothing.

On her way out, she steps on an envelope. An invitation, she looks back up and a horse-drawn carriage is waiting for her.

OH I COULD GO ON FOREVER ABOUT GRACE SINCE THAT'S JUST HER BACKGROUND, IT DISREGARDS THE CEREMONY AND EVERYTHING SHDFIBSDFILABS BUT PLEASE ASK MORE AND I'LL TELL MORE!!!!

I haven’t finished the list of Disney crossovers I have yet. I have a couple more but I decided to do Sleeping Beauty this time. Pink is mainly Harumi’s color but since it is Aurora’s dress I did the fade of blue. Again not normally seeing Inuyasha in blue was fun to do too. They look so good as princess Aurora and Prince Phillip. Kagami is the daughter of the queen of hearts, she’s strict but soft on the inside and a little bit zany when she wants to be

Aurore is the daughter of the snow queen, a little bit standoffish but once you do get to know her she’s a good friend

Mireille is the daughter of the fairy godmother she’s a soft bean who puts others before herself usually overworking herself

You see, Emiliè the good queen has disappeared no one (not even headmaster grim) knows where she could have gone

So Adrien may have to take her place to restore the already fragile balance in ever after

Or he can take his fathers role and become the next maleficent

Fun fact Roses father (the prince Philip In her mother’s story) did not kill gabe as technically it was his magic that caused several problems in his eyes

And Gabe had fallen in love with the good queen soo he’d slowly become softer

So yeah gabe literally can’t do anything too bad with his magic cause he’s chained meaning they’d know if he were to curse someone again

Now Emiliè is gone he’s focusing all his magic on trying to find her instead which means he’s sorta stopped looking after his son sending Nathalie in his stead

She also does custom designs too!

Alya definitely helps advertise it with her growing popularity and blog

Nathaniel helped with all the interior and some of the paintings in there are his too

Marc is the son of Alice and much like the rest of the wonderland gang (alix, kagami and Theo he’s the son of the March hare, you also have Sabrina who’s the daughter of the door mouse)

They miss their home, it’s been blocked of from ever after and they can’t visit it or their parents

So most of them are homesick and they tend to stick together so they aren’t alone

Marc has his mother’s stories, alix always keeps her dad’s stopwatch on her, kagami has her mother’s mallet and Sabrina has the teacup her father gave to her!

Although the daughter of the Cheshire Cat Nessa (one of my miraculous oc’s) may have an idea on how to get in and out then break the spell that was put on their home

You also have Reed son of the red knight and then Ivory daughter of the white queen they are vibing

Flips Whitefudge Headcanons:

So um, since I decided it be really interesting to ship Flips with my BB oc, Willow I thought it would be fun to list some headcanons. The more I can develop his character, the better it is for hypothetical shipping art. So here we go! 1. Flips Whitefudge's is not his legal name, only his rapper name. His legal name is Philip J. (James) van Tripp

2. He's 29 going on 30 soon. Hip hop became his and his mother's whole thing when he was 11 1/2 years old. 3. His favorite snack is white chocolate covered pretzels (big shocker I know!)

4. Flips lives with his mother until his dancing and/or rapping career takes off. He's not a complete slacker though and does try to help around the house when he's not completely distracted with his hip hop aspirations (which is admittingly almost all the time).

5. He's desperate for dance battles during his mom's hip hop classes because any time he's tried to enter a dance battle on the streets, no one takes him seriously.

6. Whitefudge was originally an insult from his younger years that made fun of his cringy attempts at being street that Flips reworked to being part of his identity in a positive way.

7. Even though hip hop dancing is his main passion, he also dabbles in beatboxing, rap battles, and is a graffiti appreciator.

8. Shelly is a single parent and got her son and herself deeply invested in hip hop 18 1/2 years ago as a trauma response to Flips' father leaving them (can't decide if I want it to be abandonment or death though). That's right, I'm making the cringy humor of Shelly and Flips linked to angst. Why can't I let just things not be that deep?! 9. "Malibu's Most Wanted" is Flips' favorite so-bad-it's-good, guilty pleasure movie to watch every now and then. He will deny any resemblance to him and the main character though. (Any time I see Flips I think of that movie even though I haven't seen it in years. So I might as well connect it to him.) XD

10. Shelly and Flips love watching "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Living Single" together. (Full disclosure, I never seen "Living Single" I just picked 90s sitcoms that were centered around a hiphop/rap artists. I love Fresh Prince though.) In general, their tv majority of the time stays on the BET channel or MTV (though they still mourn the lack of music videos on the channel). 11. Shelly bans Flips from practicing any breakdancing moves that involves his head being upside down to avoid potential neck breaking. She will lift the ban when she sees her son be able to do other intense break dancing moves without literally breaking anything. 12. Flips often thinks about joining Jairo's capoeira classes to help improve his hip hop/break dancing skills but has yet to have fully commit and finally join.

13. Flips and Shelly are one of those people that unironically dab, unfortunately. 14. Flips tried to be a disc jockey a few times in his life but he never got passed doing more than small events like school dances. 15. Despite appearing confident and charming, Flips is not so great at the dating game. Most potential partners find him way too extroverted or too focused on hip hop that it's basically his only character trait, which makes him annoying. He tries not to let it get to him though because he likes himself and that's all that matters. Someday someone will be able to handle all of him, he hopes so anyway. Okay, that's all the headcanons I can think of for him so far. I hope you find them amusing or potentially useful. Maybe I'll edit this post later to add more headcanons. Only time will tell. A Collector OC! They're based on a combination of the concept of the Rose from the Little Prince (and a little bit of roses and stars being associated as religious symbols. not really heavily relevant, but if Philip/Belos has all his puritan issues going on, there can be some background reflection in more of a positive sense). As a Collector, Rose keeps a book that has pressed flowers in them... but each flower was once another object, or even a physical memory that belonged to a living creature (rather than the source itself, Rose keeps mementos of emotions/thoughts/events). She would often speak to others so they could share their stories with her, and thus would grow a flower that held the memory. Rose keeps the history of many different individuals alive long after they are gone. She's more soft-spoken and shy than some of the other Collectors, and thus stayed out of the spot-light when different arguments and fights would break out (they generally ignored her and the planets she visited, which was fine with Rose). She has a high collar that makes the shape of rose petals framing her face, a long-sleeved garment that is wrapped tight at the wrist (sort of a "poet blouse"), and a zig-zag patter for the hem. Her hair is short, mostly swept back, with her front locks covering one eye, and a pattern of round circles under her eyes ("rosie cheeks" like a clown) She also has leggings and jester boots
