Why *yes* I can spare some poor for the food. I hope you treat the poor with kindness (what am I even saying). You get four:

- Lloyd really likes to sunbathe on the roof of the monastery (the lizard genes strike again). No one can get him down unless the weather changes for the worse of they physically drag him down.

- Unlike maybe expected, Ray is the one who is strangely In Tune with plants and can always keep like 10 at a time with them living great plant lives, while Maya Can and Will somehow kill cacti. Thrice.

(She gets too carried away thinking they need more water, and when they are spiky she couldn’t touch them to know how much they already had, thus a cactus killing machine was created)

- Scott is actually really short in real life but he made himself tall in Prime Empire. Also Jay has definitely rambled to him about Video Game Jumanji, with Scott being very confused because he only knows Jumanji one (Yes this implies the existence of Lego Ninjago Dwayne The Rock Johnson)

- (This next one is really just appeasement for Crystalized and the fact that the ninja are only crystafied for a few seconds & we don’t even see them doing anything) But basically every single one of the og four has some sort of leftover spiky mark/scar on their body— I have drawings of that somewhere but I’ll need to go find them among my hoard of art posts lol

It's a lot of dead rats, pigeons, and marine wildlife for Carlisle Cullen.

(Though to be fair, from the little we see in the OG Jumanji film, the setting is clearly that of a tropical jungle/savannah and not temperate rainforests that the Cullens are hunting in in the Forks area.

The fauna and flora would look completely different and there wouldn't be anything resembling the eldritch death plants of Jumanji.)

I’m not sure how much a film enjoyer you are so this question may not land, but are there any stereotypical “film bro” movies (for example: fight club, the godfather, etc) OR any films that are generally dismissed as pretentious that you actually like?

I like movies quite a bit, but it's been a long time since I actually had the attention span to sit down and watch one outside of a cinema

I never write on here really about fandom stuff but my kids love minecraft (both under 10). They were really excited to hear there was a movie for it so we watched the trailer...

The look on their faces when they saw Steve is equivalent to when we saw the original movie Sonic design (or us back in the day watching the OG Super Mario bros Movie).

My son turned to me and said what did they do to Steve...did Minecraft know they're making a movie and approve this? I was expecting it to look like Minecraft, where are the block people?

This is not the reaction you want from your target audience....

I read in another post - if your going to rip off a movie (new jumanji style), at least do it with a movie that works (lego movie). Agree!

Lego movie was made by people who understood the appeal of Lego, the Barbie movie was made by people who understood barbie, the minecraft movie feels like it's being made for just money. At least sonic, detective pikachu and super Mario understood the appeal of character design and how important it is.

The Final Judgement: My Overall Thoughts on Emio (V1)

MAJOR SPOILER SHIELD FOR THIS POST. READ THIS AFTER YOU PLAY THE GAME IN FULL.

Also side note I wrote this before I found out about the bonus chapter after the main game's story so I'll make an updated version of this after I play the bonus chapter!

So... I finished Emio. My personal Jumanji for the past month plus now. This is what I got from the ending...

I was right about Missing Man being our killer. Sure, I thought some proxy shit was going on and was dead set on Fukuyama being part of all of this, but I never doubted Missing Man was the killer, or at least one of them lol.

I was also right about the child theory sort of! Sure, Emiko wasn't the daughter of Missing Man, but she still meant a lot to him none the less. And besides, I was switching between different possible relationships with this character to begin with. I started off with who I originally thought was going to be named Corrine being a love interest, then aged her down to being a child and thought she was Emio's kid, but in the end she was his sister. Close enough. Thanks fake Emio twitter account for giving me at least something to work with lol.

And finally, I was right about Missing Man Jeff the Killer-ing his face. My god the shock I felt when the face reveal happened lol.

I was wrong about the proxy theory but eh whatever Emio being literally Jeff the Killer (specifically the Pastra version of him) is actually kind of better and kinda funny lol. To think Pastra predicted Emio with a creepypasta rewrite... huh...

I don't have many thoughts about the whole Junko faking the Smiling Man killing Eisuke. Just wow. I did NOT see that coming.

I'm glad that in the end Makoto was found :D

With all of this being said... I still have a lot of questions...

What happened to Emiko? Why did Missing Man talk to the first victim? Why was he jumping from place to place so much before the beginning of the Serial Girl Murders? If the first bag from the Serial Girl Murders was different from the others, what could that mean? What's with the two bag mask variants? What made Missing Man go over the edge and start killing? When did the legend get altered from something sad to a story about the unholy amalgamation of Slenderman/Jeff the Killer goin' around killing sad girls? What was the OG story? And WHERE THE FUCK DID CHILD ABUSE COME INTO THE STORY?? WHY DID THE ESRB RATING MENTION THAT AND A FATHER SLAPPING HIS CHILD??

Anyways, with all of this being said, my final rating for Emio: 8/10. Had me waiting until the very end but it left a bunch of unanswered questions. The post credits scene kinda made it seem that there's going to be more. DLC??? I hope so. They can't leave us with this many questions like this!!

Genuinely my only qualm with the Minecraft movie is Steve being white. Does Jack Black look like a whitewashed version of Steve? Yeah kinda. Is Steve white? No.

Otherwise, this looks great. It's very Jumanji 2. Doesn't take itself seriously. It's hopefully an action comedy. Looks incredibly goofy and silly and not at all serious. Because why would it be serious? The cgi horrors beyond comprehension are so funny and it really gives off that vibe of playing in Minecraft for the first time. Why is everything square and stupid looking? Why is everything scary? Especially those mod packs that try to make them look hyper realistic. That is so funny to me. I genuinely feel if they tried to be serious, this movie would be awful. Like Minecraft story mode. Sorry if you're a fan of story mode.

Lore wise? Kind of interesting to me that it would be a "waking up inside a game/strange world/alternative universe". Because what's the end poem say? We are the player, dreaming we're in the game. Of course that would translate to waking up in a strange new world for a movie. Don't you remember your first time playing, ESPECIALLY if you were an og when there was hardly any mobs? You're all alone in this weird world, just you and the animals and the monsters and the weird villagers. But otherwise? Completely alone in a foreign world.

I think this movie is going to be so much fun and I fully believe y'all are mainly disappointed by the fact it's not a serious movie. It was never supposed to be.

hey so I have a lot of thoughts after watching that fucking teaser (THAT WAS ONLY A TEASER OH GOD) so excuse this bigass rant

First of all let me say no hate or blame to the actors in the movie. It’s a job, it’s how they get paid. I think Jack Black was an excellent choice for Bowser.

I also think Warner brothers also knew this, and hired Jack Black so the minecraft movie could ride the hype train of the Mario Movie/Jack Black. Which… sure, I get it, but if that was their only reason to hire Jack Black for Steve, then… doesn’t sit right with me? hire someone that maybe actually makes Steve’s character intriguing and impactful, rather than “hey look we hired the guy from the mario movie to play in this movie, this means it’s just as good right???”

look. i didn’t know what to expect from a Live Action Minecraft movie. that part kind of slipped under the radar while we were focused on the news of A MINECRAFT MOVIE, JASON MOMOA, JACK BLACK!! but, y’know, I had expectations. I had hopes. Part of me is still hoping this is somehow an april fools prank, in september. The last thing I was expecting is the most fugly, ai-looking hyper-realistic-in-the-worst-possible-way animation with the jarring clash of irl actors against said fugly, ai-looking hyper-realistic-in-the-worst-possible-way background.

And somehow that’s??? not even the worst part???

From the look of the trailer it really seems like Warner bros wanted to make a Jumanji 4, or 5, I don’t know how many there are now. The “people in the real world are transported into the video game world and wow there’s a person here that has been stuck in the game for a very very long time and is a pro!” plot that, in the first reboot/sequel to the og jumanji movie, worked! because it was new! but that only really worked for jumanji, because we had already established in the Robin Williams (forever the best Jumanji) movie that people can be sucked into the board game and trapped for decades.

So, we have abhorrent animation, pandering/hype hired actors (that are nonetheless talented but still), and possibly an overused, unoriginal plot

What the fuck is going on?!

And here’s another thing. If you want to go watch it, that’s fine! If you have the financial means to go watch it in theaters, enjoy it with friends, your kids, your friends and their kids, that is fantastic! i’m happy for you! But a lot of people don’t have money to spend frivolously! Including myself!

Going to the movie theater is an Event for me and my siblings. We get lunch before or dinner after, we sneak in snacks, we buy the overpriced popcorn for the experience, and we only go if the movie is one we are interested in and looks cool/promising. I am not going to spend $100+ on food and movie tickets to watch a movie that just makes me wish I was at home actually playing minecraft instead of watching this.

Going to the theater to watch the showing of a Big Movie is my way of showing support. If I believe I will like the movie a lot, I WANT TO SEE IT IN THEATERS

Here are some movies I have gone to theater to see in order to show my support and have the most fun experience instead of waiting or buying it at home (i also save my movie tickets as a souvenir so that’s another aspect i enjoy)

Deadpool & Wolverine

I took my friend to this movie! It was great! This was the first Deadpool movie I saw in theaters! I was genuinely so excited and I was SO hyped for the fight scenes

Napoleon

My mom wanted to see it so we did! And I enjoyed it! I like joaquin phoenix! he’s a great actor! I like historical movies/dramas! I actually didn’t know a lot about Napoleon so I learned stuff too!

FIVE NIGHTS A FREDDY’S

FUCK. YES. I WAS SO HYPED FOR THIS MOVIE!! My siblings and I made a day of it! We got ramen before hand from our favorite place! We took pictures! We loved the movie!! I had never been in a theater where people laughed, gasped, and clapped/cheered at the end! It was so fun! You could feel that everyone was so excited to see their childhood take the big screen!

The Super Mario Movie

I took my siblings to this for their birthday and they were so excited! They had been wanting to see it, and it was the perfect gift for the one birthday sibling and the other that just was excited for the movie

TMNT Mayhem

I was so so so excited for this movie and I dragged my siblings along!! I have been a fan of TMNT for most of my childhood and I loved the artstyle, the voice actors, everything! It was a fresh take that I really enjoyed and it reawakened my love for the franchise again!

Dune 2

We watched the first movie at home and I was so intrigued!! So when I found out the second one was soon coming to theaters I took my siblings! I loved it, I was so invested in every moment! I’m waiting for the next movie!!

Now getting into several years ago where my memory is more spotty—

Venom: Carnage

I loved the first Venom movie and I was so excited for this one!! I went with my friend and her husband + kid on a whim and we all had fun!

Spider-man: No Way Home

Actually forgot i went to see this in theaters, I only know bc I have the ticket (SEE) but I remember being so hyper/having to restrain myself when Tobey and Andrew came on screen!!

and in 2020 I went to the black widow PREMIER. My sister and I dressed up, had a black/red theme, makeup and everything!! The intro to that movie was chilling in the movie theater.

So to make a point to this rant, I, and I’m sure lots of people, don’t have the money to spend on a movie that ultimate disappoints or spits on a subject that is close to our hearts. The Minecraft movie appears to be a mockery, or a parody, 10+ years in the making? And they don’t have an excuse after the FNAF movie, which was also 10+ years in the making, did a soulful and loving interpretation of a game that has become wildly popular. This isn’t cool. This isn’t something I’m going to pay money to see.

My petition is, on April 4th, instead of going to see the minecraft movie, we turn to YT where there are HUNDREDS of AMAZING minecraft animations, and even short movies!! 10+ years old but still amazing!!

I put forth The Mincraftian and the sequel, the Last Minecraftian, totaling in around 56 minutes, from the channel Joshua Mutter. Also Slamacow and their many minecraft shorts/oneshots! (the witch dance-off is my favorite)

Currently Reading: Spirit Gate by Kate Elliott. I love Kate Elliott! Her Crown of Stars series was SO SO SO good! It's massive, full of unique worldbuilding, and interesting fantasy races & cultures. This new one (it's actually pretty old, but I haven't read it yet) is shaping up to be just as interesting! Reeves (people) get harnessed into GIANT EAGLES and scout around the country trying to help everyone and enforce justice and law. And that's the tip of the iceberg. Less than 44 pages in and I was HOOKED.

Currently Watching: Re-watching Rizzoli & Isles! I love this show, I've watched it so many times! I like to also play it in the background while working on something else.

Currently Eating: I just finished eating some microwaveable burritos? 😅 I make them true cuisine by adding extra cheese, sour cream, and CholulaTM hot sauce~

Currently Craving: hmmmm... Chinese food. But, like, crappy American Chinese food. I just moved back home after years abroad, so every few days, my mom and I indulge in one of my cravings lol. I'm sure in a few weeks/months, I'll be craving all the real Chinese dishes I used to eat (or that Japanese curry place I used to eat at all the time!)
