Hi! Do you have any good rec for oikage fanfics?possibly M or E rated. Thank youuuu ❤️❤️
Of course!! I've been in such a severe oikage brainrot lately that I'm constantly on the lookout for good fics, so I'm happy to help!
1. eye for opportunity by celestialshellfish (one of my all time faves 🫶🏽)
2. an inch away from more by tokyodates (the most mindblowing oikage i've read in the last few months. it's tooooo good)
3. iconoclasm by chickwen (it's not complete yet but I'm so smitten with this fic. gorgeous olympics oikage.)
4. edge of july by kinzoushima (again incomplete but it has insanely good toxic oikage fwb to lovers. it had me tearing at my hair when it was still being updated)
5. The Arrangement by windchijmes (most classic oikage fwb to lovers fic in the fandom. it's honestly unbeatable.)
6. viva la vida by iphido (again delicious tokyo olympics hookup oikg. you cannot go wrong with this flavour. chefs kiss)
7. The Olympic Incident of Rio 2016 by beastlybrooke (you can take this one or leave it because it has endgame kagehina and iwaoi, but it's THE fic that got me into oikage and I'll recommend it a hundred times over. 100000/10)
8. vanilla sunlight by momochai (this one is t-rated but i just had to add it in the list because of how madly in love i am with this fic. beautiful and warm and funny and soft, it owns my whole heart)
These are all canonverse fics but if you're looking for some oikage AUs, hmu because I've read some amazing ones.

[OT3] AtsuOiKage 1
Oikawa loves…no he is obsessed with Kageyama's body. So, Oikawa will never let Kageyama go. Even though they broke up for quite a while, he has Miya Atsumu as his new boyfriend now.
Oikawa can't accept that his ex-boyfriend…Tobio-chan will sleep with other people except him and maybe Atsumu. (?)
Oikawa truly loves Atsumu but he is obsessed more with Tobio-chan's body to the point that even Miya Atsumu can't help but be interested in what Tobio-kun's body tastes.
Well, he may have a chance to have a test soon.
.
Atsumu just understands now why Tooru is so obsessed with the younger setter and can't cut himself off from his kouhai.
His desperate moan, his screaming when he is brought to his climax, his crying, his tears, his body when struggling, wriggling, and trembling from all high and pleasure is EVERYTHING.
The blued-eye setter is in the overwhelming and overstimulating stage. His body was so tense and shaking violently non-stop and he seemed to lose control of his body.
Tooru was so brutal with his thrust. He fucked and ravaged the younger one so HARD that make his eyes roll back to his head along with his heavy gasp and his back jerked upward into the beautiful arch and the trace of the lusty milk splashed on Atsumu's bed.
Atsumu almost cum in his pants just from the sight. He licked his dry lips hungrily and Tooru, his boyfriend, knew that Atsumu run out of the patient and it was time to share the meal now.
.
Tooru's big dick is still stuff in Kageyama's tight hole. His dick went so deep, penetrated the young one's colon then he thrust his hip unhurriedly, letting his gland kiss the blued-eyes setter swallowed prostate gently making Tobio's body squirm from the overstimulation.
Atsumu can see the outline of Tooru's dick from the bulge of Kageyama's belly.
"Wow, Tooru! your dick went so deep and it reached here!" Atsumu's finger traced from Kageyama's pubis up to his abdomen and stopped under his navel. Tobio is so sensitive to the point that the slight touch of Atsumu's fingers can make his body squirm and climax even though he is unconscious now.
Oikawa let out a soft laugh, still continuously rocking his hip gently, and enjoyed the feeling of the boy's hole that went from hard and struggle to wet and soft, perfectly wrapped around his dick.
"He seems so comfortable to have you inside~ see! His body is relaxed enough for my fingers too~"
Tooru released his semen inside Kageyama's hole so much that even though the hole was being plugged by his big dick, you still see the white fluid leak from that red swollen hole.
Atsumu used it as a lube, carefully examining and gently massaging the boy's rim, and enjoyed the view of his boyfriend's dick thrusting in and out slowly.
When he feels that the rim and the hole are relaxed enough, Atsumu probes and enters the tips of his middle finger carefully making not only Kageyama let out his soft moans and his body trambling even though he is in the unconscious stage but also Tooru make a big gaspe when suddenly feels the flesh wall is tightening him violently.
"You like it?~" Oikawa heavy breath is an answer and Atsumu laughs.
Atsumu adds his ring finger along with his middle finger, teasing around the rim and the flesh inside patiently even though his dick is so fucking hard almost burst. He also wants to cum too but not now…
.
Kageyama was forced to wake up from a sudden overwhelming feeling from having 2 big dicks inside him, he screamed and begged his two seniors who were now ravaging his body so hard to stop. It's so scary! He was scared…no he was terrified of how his hole was being stretched beyond what he could think. His stomach feels so FULL and so uncomfortable that makes him cry.
The pain becomes numb and pleasure is following and staying last long.
His brain is blank and his head is white. They make him see the stars in each thrust. They are so in sync to make a mess inside of his hole. When Oikawa thrust in - Atsumu thrust out, when Atsumu thrust in - Oikawa thrust out, never let Kageyama have a chance to rest.
.
They both milked the boy out, making him orgasm and ejaculate over and over. Everything is INSANELY GOOD. Shit! If he knows this he should ask Tooru to have a threesome with his Tobio-chan a long time ago.
When Atsumu just started dating Tooru, he didn't quite like the blued-eyes setter much, like the new boyfriend can't get along well with the ex-one. That's normal, right? And he hated that Tooru always referred to his Tobio-chan occasionally. He can see how manipulated and how possessive he is over the younger setter.
However, as time passed he couldn't help but learn to be interested more about Kageyama Tobio. Both Atsumu and Tooru were born to be the Top, even though they can switch but they prefer to be the one who fuck than be fucked. Since Tooru can't get over the taste of Kageyama's body, Atsumu is so curious to know too.
What is Kageyama's taste?
Atsumu got his answer now. He knew why his boyfriend was so attached to him, Tobio-kun was so fucking adorable when he was being fuck. He was born to be the Bottom, his body is so lewd that can turn you on easily, and his taste is something else.
Atsumu loves Tooru, sex with Tooru is great, and switching positions is also good but yeah…deep inside he and Tooru prefer to be at the top more than the bottom which makes their sex lives sometimes feel not fully completed.
So, that is why Tooru can't and never let his Tobio-chan go.
Now, that Atsumu got a taste, he may he will talk with Tooru about this matter later. They should consider having Kageyama live with them and be with them for real to make their sex lives feel fully complete.
Atsumu doesn't love Kageyama, but he loves having sex with Kageyama, and he is quite possessive over the things he loves. So, the idea of letting the younger one have sex with others else is unacceptable.
Atsumu and Tooru fucked him well. They make him HIGH enough, force him to go beyond his limits till he loses control of his body, and with multiple orgasms, Kageyama finally squirts. This is the first time Atsumu sees the real squirt and it makes him so excited.
It is the long five fucking hours that they fucked someone continuously. He thinks they broke the blued-eyes setter so well that Kageyama's body may not lay with other people except them anymore.
With his last orgasm...
Atsumu finally understood how Tooru feels now.

October Fanfic Recs
Here are the fics that I’ve really liked this past month. All of these are complete. Enjoy!
Fandoms: Back to the Future (3), Boku no Hero Academia (1), Haikyuu!! (2), Merlin (1)
Fandom: Back to the Future Title: Muscle Memory Authors: irisbleufic, leaper182 Pairing: Emmett "Doc" Brown/Marty McFly Rating: Explicit Word Count: 62,600 Summary: "Then why were we kissing, Doc?" Marty demanded. "I think I'd remember kissing you before actually kissing you!"
Fandom: Back to the Future Title: it is the dawn; time has shifted Author: Edgebug Pairing: Emmett "Doc" Brown/Marty McFly Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Word Count: 16,184 Summary: The flux capacitor shakes, screams, explodes. Marty and Doc deal with the aftermath.
Fandom: Back to the Future Title: A Matter of Time Author: breakaway71 Pairing: Emmett "Doc" Brown/Marty McFly Rating: General Audiences Word Count: 14,096 Summary: Marty is going to save Doc’s life, and if Doc won’t let him do it the easy way, if he’s so determined to stick to his damn principles and never read Marty’s note, well then, Marty’s going to do it the only other way he has left.
One day at a time.
-
(or: Marty returns to 1985 only to find that his best friend is gone and everyone in his family are strangers to him. Obviously, the only thing left for him to do is fix the time machine and go back to 1955. Easier said than done, of course.)
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia Title: Yuuei Survival Guide Author: LowlyWriter Pairing: Aizawa Shouta | Eraserhead/Yamada Hizashi | Present Mic Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Word Count: 519,280 Series: Part 1 of A Boy and his Ghost (Words: 543,862 - Works: 3) Summary: Izuku steps towards the other teen, holding his hand out to shake, “I’m Midoriya Izuku by the way. We haven’t officially met yet, right? I don’t remember seeing you at the Entrance Exam?”
The blue-haired boy pauses, studies his hand uncertainly before shrugging. “Shirakumo Oboro,” he introduces in return, hand phasing right through Izuku’s when he goes to return the handshake. Shirakumo doesn’t seem surprised by it, but Izuku whips his hand back when the intense chill climbs up his arm.
or,
Izuku tries to pretend eveything is okay even though his homelife is crumbling around him, there's an insanely powerful Quirk that's not entirely his coursing through his veins, he suddenly knows his childhood hero, All Might, and to top it all off, he seems to have befriend a pastel blue-haired ghost that has way too much insider knowledge on Izuku's new homeroom teacher, and English teacher. He's really just trying to survive Yuuei...
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: royal regalia Author: celestialshellfish Pairing: Kageyama Tobio/Oikawa Tooru Rating: Explicit Word Count: 2,939 Summary: Oikawa cannot believe this shit.
Okay, okay. Actually, he can. Because Kageyama Tobio is the exact type of clueless jock to show up to a wedding in an Adidas tracksuit.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: Atsumu’s Courtship for Dummies Author: spideywhiteys Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Miya Atsumu Rating: General Audiences Word Count: 1,604 Summary: Secret Prince Atsumu has been running from responsibility for a while now. Since leaving Inarizaki, he’s grown as a person—as a Prince. But before he can admit to himself that he’s ready to return, he needs to admit his feelings to someone who matters a little more.
Fandom: Merlin Title: Long Enough (Forget Me Not) Author: Jabber_Moose Pairing: Merlin/Arthur Pendragon Rating: General Audiences Word Count: 1,595 Summary: Maybe the fates are telling him that it’s time to let go, that Arthur is not going to return to him. Maybe it is time to stop, for his own sake, before he has to deal with the fallout of forgetting.

WIP Wednesday: the OiKage Singer AU
Date Posted: 01 May 2024 Status: Abandoned
i wrote this back when i was doing oikage week 2017 and never finished it, and don't really plan to finish it anymore. but basically i was inspired to make these two recording artists when i saw this video and that deleted one of them singing nonsense speaker. wip wednesday is when i post a work in progress randomly on a wednesday, both for abandoned and ongoing projects. if you're curious about what you read, feel free to shoot an ask! :>
With a tired sigh, Tooru drags his eyes down another fan-made letter.
And with another, equally-drained exhale, he sets it down, doesn’t want to glance at the mountain of similar, carefully-sealed envelopes he’ll have to pore over later. Where he is right now is certainly where he’d wished he would be some ten years ago, and though he does love it, though it does warm his heart to know people enjoy his work and appreciate him and take the trouble to do things like writing him letters of admiration, he can’t help but feel lonely. It’s a solitary one, the life of an idol, and not in terms of physical interaction.
I love you, the letter says. Tooru doesn’t doubt that whoever wrote this isn’t simply saying that for kicks, but he has to wonder what it truly means when the one who says it doesn’t truly know him.
Maybe he’ll get to meet someone someday, he dreams—a fan, or perhaps not—someone he can get to know and can get to know him until eventually they’re comfortable enough to settle in with each other, ready to say I love you and then truly mean it with all their hearts. It’s a nice, noble dream, he thinks to himself, smiles to himself, however impossible others might tell him it’ll be. It’s the price to pay to be able to do what he loves. Anything regarding whom he loves will have to wait until further notice.
His phone rings the moment he moves to get a hold of the next glittery letter, and he’s eternally grateful as he examines the screen and sees the name ‘Matsukawa Issei’. Mattsun has been his closest confidante about a wide variety of things for a long time now, and though he isn’t the most responsible manager, Tooru will never leave his care, even if he’s dragged away from it.
He answers the call. “Yahoo,” he greets. “How’d your meeting go?”
“Uh, okay, I guess,” Mattsun says, and immediately, Tooru sits up. Aside from being overly-comical, one of his manager’s most redeeming traits has always been that excessive amount of slackness that brims from his personality and entire personhood. His voice on the phone right now, however, is far from the regular. “That’s actually why I’m calling. I mean, I’m headed there right now but I didn’t think I could wait any longer to tell you this.”
“Tell me what? You’re making me nervous.”
“It’s not bad. Sort of.” Mattsun’s voice is a little shaky and Tooru’s worry only grows. “So there were a bunch of analysts at the meeting earlier and they got to talking about your audience demographic. Girls, ages twelve to twenty-one, on the average, but you already know that. Anyway, you’re doing good with them as usual, but—they found a way to make you do better. And they’re really excited to get it started. They came up with a project that’s expected to double your fan base and profit.”
“Isn’t that the opposite of bad, then?”
“Wait for it. It’s a joint project with another idol.”
Tooru pauses, mulling the concept over. He hasn’t had many opportunities to collaborate with other idols at this stage in his career, his main focus mostly getting himself out as the lone star of the stage and the only one it’ll ever need, but it still doesn’t sound like a bad idea. “Okay?” he says warily. “With who?”
It’s only when Mattsun snorts into the phone that Tooru realizes his voice isn’t shaky and tense because he’s afraid—but because he’s trying not to laugh. “Kageyama Tobio.”
No one has ever dropped an iPhone so carelessly onto the ground.
---
There’s only roughly thirty minutes to go before their first official creative meeting, but even as he’s driven to the studio building, Tobio absolutely cannot believe that he’s been pulled into collaboration with Oikawa Tooru without his consent. Part of him isn’t surprised; from what Kindaichi has said, the benefits of launching such a project are excellent, to say the least, and will probably be good for him, Oikawa, and their respective offices in the long run. But all of him, all of him, can’t help but want to break away and run.
Tobio hasn’t been doing this for very long, not as long as Oikawa anyway, but he’s done an amazing job in what little time has passed—he’s done numerous live performances, a good lot of interviews, and has had a stable fan base with an identity for quite some time now. His merchandise sell pretty nicely too. He’s his own person, his own brand of performer, and his loyal fans, his manager, and his record label all know that. But for some reason, he can never ever leave Oikawa’s shadow.
Media compare them incessantly, always asking questions such as, “Did Oikawa Tooru-san inspire this?” or saying things like, “You know this was also how Oikawa Tooru-san started off,” and the likes. And it’s a pretty big insult because, although, yes, their music and styles are rather similar, Tobio isn’t a very big fan of Oikawa’s voice. It sounds fake (not in the auto-tune way) and expressive of all the wrong things, almost custom-fit for the cheesy messages he sends for theoretical girls through his lyrics. He recalls how he’d mentioned something akin to that in an interview once, rather tactlessly. Kindaichi had yelled at him and had to do some major damage control after, but there was no helping the sudden sparking up of a rivalry between his devoted listeners and Oikawa’s, creating what people pathetically call ‘the greatest rift in all of idol history’.
Pretty bogus, if you ask Tobio. But he supposes he only has himself to blame for speaking so carelessly and paving the way for this ridiculous joint-project half-intended to repair their reputations.
“Don’t be rude when you meet,” Kindaichi reminds him as they walk board the elevator to the twentieth floor of the studio building.
“I’m not gonna attack him for being fake,” he replies. “It’s more likely he’d attack me for telling everyone he’s fake.”
“Yeah, well, don’t rise to his bait. I hear he’s not in very good at the ‘friendly’ department either.”
“What do you mean ‘either’?”
Kindaichi raises an eyebrow at him.
They’re met by a proper-looking man with a timidly-happy face as they enter the conference room, he and Oikawa arriving roughly at the same time and, for the most part, ignoring each other until interaction is absolutely necessary. Oikawa’s manager is the only one who seems completely amused by the situation; Tobio feels his own’s excessive tension even from feet away. He shoots Kindaichi a glance, tells him to calm down.
“It’s nice to meet you both,” the proper-looking man says, bowing graciously. “My name’s Ennoshita Chikara. I’ve been assigned as your producer for this project.”
“Ooh, Chikara’s a pretty name,” Oikawa says.
“Oh, thank you for saying so! But before anything else—“ He looks calm, but the way Ennoshita glances at Tobio and then Oikawa with a small smile and yet wide eyes tells Tobio he isn’t completely relaxed. “I think you two have yet to formally meet?”
Finally, he and Oikawa look at each other.
“I don’t really think that’s necessary,” Oikawa says, smiling all the way up to his eyes. Fake. “After all, who doesn’t know Kageyama Tobio-san, the biggest breakout star of the decade?”
Tobio doesn’t really know what to say to that. “Uh, thank you,” he chooses after a while, though he highly doubts Oikawa intended to pay him any actual compliments. “I know you as well.”
“Oh, I know you do.”
“Okay!” Ennoshita claps his hands together, pulls his seat out. “Why don’t we all get cozy and start the preliminaries?”
The preliminaries turn out to be a discussion about what’s already been discussed. Management has given this a lot of thought already, it seems, and all the plans are already set in stone, simply waiting to be promulgated to those whom they actually concern. Ennoshita talks about their similar viewership, sounding very professional and yet somehow Tobio is able to tell he’d rather go home than get paid to do anything he’s currently doing, and that the Big Decision-makers™ have seen it fit for the two of them to record a single together, a duet, as an address to the members of that viewership.
It’s going to be a cheesy love song about pretty eyes and butterflies, Tobio laments the more Ennoshita drones on about the specifics. He props an elbow on the table and rests his jaw against his own palm, sneaks a glance at Oikawa to see how he’s taking any of the news. Their eyes lock immediately but Oikawa quickly tears his gaze away the moment Tobio’s lands on him. Tobio only frowns and tries to pay attention to Ennoshita.
Tries, definitely, because other than the fact that he can’t be any less interested in whatever this collaboration entails, he sometimes feels Oikawa watching him—not for too long, but stealing glances every now and again for whatever reason. His manager seems to notice as well; the sleepy-eyed man once pokes Oikawa in the temple and directs his eyes forward rather than to the side, Tobio sees from his peripheral vision. But the sneaky looks continue.
Exasperated, Tobio looks to him as well, catches him in the act of staring Tobio head to toe (or in this case, head to elbow) with a disgusted frown on his face. Oikawa meets his eyes for a brief moment before he’s rolling his and turning back to Ennoshita.
Tobio’s face pulls into a frown of its own.
“Uh,” Ennoshita says loudly, thoroughly capturing Tobio’s attention. “Okay, um—I’m not gonna mince words. I know that you two don’t exactly get along, despite—you know—not really meeting until today, and I know you’d rather not be here, but I think we should all be a little more proactive about this. I mean, there’s benefits. Money.” He rubs two fingers together. “And anyway, there’s a lot you have to know about each other; I’m sure you’re both pleasant people.” Tobio hears Kindaichi make a small noise; his frown deepens. “I hope we get along from here on out.”
Oikawa looks like he wants to murder Tobio with solely his eyes; Tobio works to make sure he looks the same.
---
If anyone had told Chikara that his next big project would be one involving Kageyama Tobio and Oikawa Tooru at the same time he would have fixed up his documents and passport and flown to another continent for an indefinite period of time. They’re big names, very big names, and working with them is just the boost his career needs, but no matter what insane spike in profit the studio authorities see, he doesn’t think anything can compensate for the emotional turmoil and confusion that comes with that.
Oikawa is charming—or at least, he’s trying really hard to be, but Chikara’s met enough questionable personalities to know when words and actions are genuine or not. He’s the complete opposite of Kageyama, who’s nothing but blunt and real, and having them together in the same place for more than thirty seconds, especially given that controversial interview months and months ago, honestly feels more like a babysitting job than anything.
He isn’t surprised when the song he’s given to work with is something by Tanaka Ryuunosuke, a long-time friend of Chikara’s and also the cheesiest Japanese romantic lyricist known to man, and that it speaks about comparing some girl’s beauty to the sensations of music, because that’s the image they’re going for: that Oikawa and Kageyama are sweet, loving men who’ll take care of you if you give them the chance, that they’re absolute dreamboats, that you want to be with them and they want to be with you.
Watching them try to out-baritone each other during breaks does nothing but destroy that image.
Still, recording gets done, the new single is produced, and Chikara is able to feel freedom and happiness, keeping the knowledge that his work is done and that his little starlings are going to shooting the video for a good few days very, very close to his heart.
All of that goes out the window, however, when he gets a call from both Matsukawa and Kindaichi, asking him to come to the shooting sessions for the sake of mediating between the two troublesome idols because, according to the two managers, he’s apparently very good at it. He has no choice but to sigh, wonder when his title had gone from Producer Ennoshita to Babysitter Ennoshita, and then agree. As a favour to the both of them, he thinks, for being the only agreeable people he’s seen in the last few weeks.
It’s not like they’re always fighting outright. It seems like it would be in both their personalities, but neither of them have ever raised their voice or gotten anything close to physical. They’re subtle and discreet in their exasperation towards each other—arguments always muttered under the breath or stapled to a malicious glare or rolling of eyes. They work well enough together in the eyes of the video director, a very imaginative man named Nishinoya Yuu who has always taken it upon himself to record videos for Tanaka’s music, and he’s absolutely ecstatic when he’s reviewing the day’s footage.
“The camera loves these two,” he tells Chikara, grinning. “They look good together.”
Chikara sneaks a peak at the shot, one of Kageyama and Oikawa by the side of a canal, comfortably leaning against each other’s backs, and has to agree.
There’s nothing less than an absolute revolution when the single and video are finally released. It tops the charts, stays there for weeks on end, plays on the radio and on TV and sounds from the mouths of girls both young and old every opportunity it can get. And those opportunities are numerous, Chikara finds, when the supposed ‘benefits’ of such an ambitious project come rolling in. The once-loyalist Kageyama fans and once-loyalist Oikawa fans are converted, and the audience has doubled for the both of them, as predicted. Word on the street was that a new fan club was underway, one dedicated to the friendship that the two idols had allegedly formed. A small section of that club is dedicated to fantasizing about their romantic affairs.
Fans are crazy, Chikara thinks, and Oikawa and Kageyama tell him the same thing when they, individually, text him in the evenings. They and their managers have taken to communicating with Chikara outside of work recently, and Chikara appreciates that his field has given him some strange new friends, but he can’t help but wonder whether or not they communicate with each other, like their fans probably wish they do.
Merchandise is crafted and sold, live events and interviews and meet-ups are arranged, and Kageyama and Oikawa (and Chikara, because they keep asking him to come) are forced to see each other more often than they wish. On TV, performing their song live before a crowd, Chikara is always led to think how beautifully they seem to match each other, almost as if they’re made to be standing together, filling each other’s holes in a way Chikara has never seen any other dueting pairs accomplish before. Perhaps it’s part of why they appeal to listeners so well; people always enjoy other people getting along, no matter what’s actually happening behind the scenes they’re permitted to see.
And right at the height of this revolution, Chikara is once again called in by the big guns for a ‘friendly chat’. It’s a long one, definitely, complete with an assessment of their past successes and then an invitation to create some new ones. Chikara barely has enough time to compose another face when the words, “There’s going to be a new project,” are being thrown into his face, and then he’s being introduced to Terushima Yuuji (the new songwriter he’ll be working with, well-known for his synth-pop, catchy remixes, and erotic themes; Chikara is already nervous) and being given a quick demo of the new song he’ll be having his idols record.
And then he wants to throw himself out the window.
---
“Okay,” Chikara says as Oikawa arranges himself on his lounge chair. The song they’re about to rehearse is controversial (very controversial) and though both Kageyama and Oikawa had both reacted violently upon hearing the intro alone, they’re still professionals after all, and what management wants, management gets. Kageyama sits across him on another soft seat, studiously examining the sheet music he has in his hands. “I’m gonna play the backing track now. The chorus for this song is gonna require a lot of editing, since you obviously can’t say all those lines in a single breath, but feel free to sing what you can for now. Ready?”
“I was born ready,” Oikawa says.
“Yes,” Kageyama says.
“Good. I’ll start it up.”

I feel like I tricked myself into liking kageyama. Like it kinda went from like kinda liking him, preferring him over to hinata because I felt like I could relate more but he wasn't my favourite character or anything. And then I thought about his character more and read some good angst fanfiction and now he's kind of one 9f my favourite characters, but I can't decide if I actually like the Canon version or the version I made up in my head.
And then I tricked myself into shipping tsukikage. Like don't get me wrong enemies to lovers is great but tsukikage man. Like they'd be an absolute power couple. Everyone would be scared of them. They'd judge and insult people so much, most of the time kageyama insults people without meaning to. And how annoyed they'd be when they realise they like the other, they'd hate it, and you know they'd both be too stubborn and prideful to admit they like the other first and would probably just end up kissing while bickering or something. Like I didn't watch haikyuu to ship tsukikage but thinking of them together brings me so much joy.
And oikage or iwaoikage, if I want angst I go to these and yet the ones where they're not sulfate AUs and they just get together later in life when they're both more mature are some of my favourite fics. Like I rarely read angst but when I do it usually includes oikage. The missed opportunities, the Canon relationship, the unrequited love turned requited love. Like God kageyama crushing on oikawa in middle school but thinking he just admires him as a setter. Kageyama realising his feelings by his first year in highschool. Oikawa being jealous of and thinking he hates kageyama but also being proud of him and just can't bring himself to completely ignore or stay away from him. Then post timeskip nothing much has changed. They pretend not to care while keeping up with each other's careers or lives. And after the Olympics Argentina vs Japan game they get together. Being a multishipper is hell in this fandom honestly.
Also kageyama and sakusa friendship is great but there are to SakuKage fanfics on AO3 where they try to make atsuhina jealous and end up falling in love and one of them is probably one of my favourite fanfictions. Like don't get me wrong I love atsukage and I can tolerate kagehina but the SakuKage in this fix was so cute and well written (maybe not in character) it really left me no choice but to ship. Also atsumu fake dating hinata to make sakusa jealous only for sakusa to start fake dating kageyama to make him jealous, leading to sakusa falling in love with kageyama., theres just something so beautifully tragic in that, like your own actions causing the end of what could've been a beautiful relationship. It's kinda like (but actually completely different) to Babushaka by Kate Bush, you know the song where she tests her husband by pretending to be someone else and flirting with him, only for her husband to fall in love because she reminds him of her (his wife) when they were happy together. Also I tried to tag sakukage but it didn't appear to ba a tag yet and that made me kinda sad

Hi guys , I need help finding a fanfiction . So it was a oikage fanfiction that I remember reading in 2022 or perhaps it was 2021 . Back when I read it , it barely had one chapter and the plot was really amazing and I was really looking forward to it as well . It was about how Kageyama disappeared after his 3rd year in high school and left a letter saying not to look for him . He didn't keep in touch with any of the Karasuno team or even his sister . By then Oikawa and Hinata were friends ig . And Oikawa recently started playing as a starter in his club in Argentina and one day Oikawa was just getting his coffee and he saw Kageyama and they talked and Kageyama doesn't play anymore because of his injury but he promised to watch Oikawa's game and he has also watched Oikawa's previous matches . Apparently he was staying at Argentina for a while or so and was handling his family business.
A few details might be wrong cause like I said I read it a long time ago and I can't remember the story's name so it'd be great if one of you can help me find this fic . Please

get to know me
but is it?!
Three ships: I favor OiKage (Oikawa Tooru/Kageyama Tobio) since I first watched Haikyuu!!, I am not sure another ship comes to mind as much as they do right now...
First ship: The very first ship I had was more of a ‘for some reason, I thought they were together’ rather than a ‘they BELONG together!’ or a ‘I think they could have an interesting dynamic’ and it was SasuHina (Uchiha Sasuke/Hyuuga Hinata) from Naruto. there probably is something before this but i do not remember a lot from the past :)
Last song: Tempo Impetuoso D’Estate (Summer - The Four Seasons Op 8 No 2) by Antonio Vivaldi.
Last movie: the last movie I remember watching was Everything Everywhere All At Once. I am almost sure there were more movies I watched after it, because I remember watching something else, close to the end of the year. But I do not remember what it was
Currently reading: a few Avatar: The Last Airbender fanfictions. i am, technically, reading Given by Kizu Natsuki and Stone Butch Blues by Leslie Feinberg too though!
Currently consuming: lunch
Currently craving: I was getting hungry, so I was craving exactly what I am eating right now
thanks for tagging me @limetimo ^_^

Hello... Do you mind if I ask your top favorite fanfics that you've written? Why are they're special to you? Do you have specific inspiration when you wrote them? Thanks if you want to answer.....
So when I got this ask, I told myself that I would only pick 3 fics no matter what. If I went beyond that, we would be here all day, but picking 3 out of 60 made the task very hard as well 😭 They're all my babies tbh.
But even then, these are a bit more special.
Lucky Again: Written for my first fanfiction event (Kagehina Big Bang 2022) that I was so excited for, and believe me, I put my entire heart and soul into this fic. No other writing experience will ever compare to this one and I will always be extremely proud of this fic ❤️ I've always loved exes to lovers as a trope and I was itching to write it for kagehina, so that's how this fic was born :')
religion's in your lips (even if it's a false god): Another fic I am very proud of, particularly of my writing in it. It was stupidly difficult to write this because of the ambiguous/toxic relationship theme, but it was a passion project for me, I simply needed to put it out into the world. I go back to reread it all the time and I love it a lot. My main inspiration for it was that Oikawa is always the indifferent, detached one in oikage fics and I wanted to reverse their roles and make Kageyama like that, while Oikawa yearned for something more from him. I hope I did a good job portraying the vision :))
gold rush: Merthur is the ship I've written the most number of fics for so choosing only one out of them made my hands shake violently. There are so many merthur fics that meant the world to me when I wrote them, but now, years later, when I look back, this is the fic that I find myself revisiting the most. I can't tell you the reason why. The inspiration for this was being totally gone for the idea of Merlin's magic being in love with Arthur ❤️
getting it right: Also a shout-out to this fic which is not only my longest work on ao3, but the fic that completely sucked me into kagehina, never to escape. Writing this was some of the most fun time of my life and I love rereading it too 🥰
Thank you for such a wonderful ask!! ❤️❤️

OiKage : how to raise baby Tobio 1
It was Saturday night after the club practice, 15-year-old Oikawa Tooru and Iwaizumi Hajime saw the baby sleeping in the old basket with the piece of paper that read 'Tobio' at the front of Oikawa's House.
After Oikawa tries so hard to take care of the baby for several days, he becomes very protective of the baby Tobio-chan as if the blue-eyed baby is his real son. So, he decides to keep the baby to himself, and never he will send his son to the orphanage.
Of course, Iwaizumi will have a headache with 15-year-old Papa StupidKawa for a long time…
Please, Oikawa…give me a break! Shit!!

Read this masterpiece on AO3 at https://ift.tt/baSURnk
by DrkRaven_eng (DrkRaven)
IWAOIKAGE | (from the text) "How nice! We are all here, together again as in the old days!" eyes shining with a mocking light. Iwaizumi enters without waiting for any invitation, and approaches Tobio with a contrite look. Kageyama now lowers his eyes, but remains standing, clenched fists and livid face. Leaning with his arms folded against the closed door, Oikawa bursts into loud laughter.

Yamaguchi's only issue with it is that he can't tell if it's the type of date he wants it to be or not.

“See, it’s not so bad.”
Atsumu can’t take his eyes off his skates.
Shouyou chuckles. “Don’t be scared.”
“I’m not scared,” Atsumu snaps, though his whole body is shaking.
“Just look at me,” Shouyou says and Atsumu has no choice but to comply.
Having a crush on Shouyou has some particular effects on Atsumu's life, like making him act without thinking, causing his heart to flutter when he sees him, and forcing him to make a fool of himself as he tries to impress him.
It's a combination of all three that have Atsumu on an ice rink, pretending to know what he's doing, when he doesn't have a single clue.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: Late Night Appetite Author: Cee Pairing: Miya Osamu/Oikawa Tooru Rating: Teen Word Count: 4,565 Summary: After a six-year stint in the foreign league, Oikawa returns to Japan under less than ideal conditions. Fuck, most people can barely stand him. But when Bokuto is around and happy to see him, he feels this pure, stirring awareness of being a really exciting person no matter how boring he actually ends up being. And Atsumu has never been good at not chasing the highs he wants to deserve." OR Miya Atsumu vs. the mortifying ordeal of being known: the fic
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: blood brothers Author: billionairevolleyboysclub Pairing: Akaashi Keiji/Miya Osamu, Akaashi Keiji/Miya Atsumu Rating: Mature (Part 2 is Explicit) Word Count: 2,416 Series: Part 1 of blood brothers (Words: 6,841 - Works: 2) Summary: Akaashi Keiji has a Kink. “Could I get yer notes after class? Sorry, I missed the first half.” When he speaks, Akaashi’s gaze can’t help but flick to his mouth. Slightly elongated canines drop down to break an otherwise even row of white teeth. Oh, Akaashi thinks.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: the soulmate swap Author: electraDandelion Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Miya Atsumu Rating: Teen Word Count: 9,670 Summary: Hinata Shōyō had waited for his 21st birthday his whole life. Perhaps the thing that got him through the first 21 years of his life — especially through the last year and a half of life halfway across the world — was knowing that somewhere, there was someone waiting for him. Someone made for him. That night, as he went to sleep on the eve of his 21st year, Hinata Shōyō would meet his soulmate. Well, technically, he wouldn’t physically meet his soulmate, so much as swap bodies with them for a day.

Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: condensation Author: FireHeartAW Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Kageyama Tobio Rating: Explicit Word Count: 5,821 Summary: “What do you want, Hinata?” Kageyama asks so quietly, hidden behind his other hand that’s now dripping water down his mouth and chin. Hinata can’t take his eyes away, mesmerized by the way the water trails the jawline he’s wanted to kiss so many times, and because of it, he answers honestly. “You. Kage–” Hinata starts, but Kageyama’s eyes sharpen daggers into him as if he said something wrong – and it’s too much, and the cold touch of fear sends a shiver down his spine. “Tobio. Say Tobio, again,” Kageyama requests, the daggers melting into the beginnings of greed, eyebrows furrowing as he bites into the fingers that rest along his lip. It feels like the floor below his feet is nonexistent, like he’s slipping on the gravity of emotions that’s held him in one place for so long. It’ll take this one final exhale of words, one more sentence to change the nature of their relationship and it’s terrifying – but when have either of them ever been afraid to take the leap for things they want? “It’s you, Tobio. It’s always been you,” Hinata reveals and the world around them takes a breath, holds it, and then lets go.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: any way you slice it Author: FireHeartAW Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Kageyama Tobio Rating: Teen Word Count: 6,706 Summary: In which Hinata confesses to Kageyama via a slice of cake, borrowing a Brazilian tradition for his own personal feelings. But, what if Kageyama came to visit him in Rio with a confession of his own? “‘Yama,” Hinata starts, closing the distance between them and reaching up before he knows what's gotten into him, his sand-scratched fingertips brushing against soft warm cheeks as he turns Kageyama’s face to look at him. He thinks he feels Kageyama lean into it, fantasizes that him closing his eyes is out of comfort rather than exhaustion, and hopes that it’s okay to be touching him like this, so much different than they ever were back home before he left. “What did you come here for?” he whispers, as silent as the contrails left hidden amongst the darkening starry sky above them, as soft as the calm sea just a few blocks away. Kageyama opens his eyes slowly, long eyelashes revealing the deep cobalt constellations of his gaze like a curtain, more emotion swirling inside them than any galaxy.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: but i'm already down Author: flickercity Pairing: Kageyama Tobio/Miya Atsumu Rating: Mature Word Count: 2,413 Summary: Tobio yawned, scratching the back of his head. He looked at Atsumu slowly. “I thought this was supposed to be about sex,” he said. “Well, yeah,” Atsumu met Tobio’s gaze for only a second and quickly looked away. “But then ya wanted to know more about your fake kingdom and I got invested in what I made up, so.” His voice jerked as he pulled out of the parking lot. “Now I want a backstory too.” OR Atsumu and Tobio try roleplay and completely miss the point.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: Sprout Author: boomturkey Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Oikawa Tooru Rating: Teen Word Count: 9,077 Summary: When Hinata is fifteen he discovers true love is suspension in the air, a moment of connection, perfectly in sync before his palm strikes the ball. And who better to have a connection with than the best-worst-best person he's ever known Three snapshots of Hinata during his time at Aoba Jousai.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: The Witching Hour Author: ive_been_losing_sleep Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Kozume Kenma Rating: Teen Word Count: 14,009 Summary: The Witching Hour: The time of night in which the world is at its quietest And the demons walk amongst mortals
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: how the game is played Author: Slumber Pairing: Miya Osamu/Suna Rintarou Rating: Teen Word Count: 2,014 Summary: There is a light smattering of applause around them, Rintarou thinks. He isn’t really sure. Everything fades to a blur around him as he focuses on Osamu, and this moment, and tries very hard to keep playing his part. But the bottle of champagne that their waiter brings out, interestingly enough—well. That had been complimentary. In which Osamu and Suna fake proposals for fun and profit.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: tabula rasa Author: extinguish Pairing: Kageyama Tobio/Oikawa Tooru Rating: Teen Word Count: 9,070 Summary: Kageyama runs into Oikawa in Tokyo and realizes that time heals all wounds, among other things.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: Allusions Author: Koocatoo Pairing: Hinata Shouyou/Miya Atsumu Rating: Teen Word Count: 7,732 Summary: Hinata can't stop thinking about Atsumu, who has only probably been flirting with him since the end of Karasuno's final match during Nationals. He's not entirely sure, but it's been driving him up the wall! Perhaps his trip to spend a weekend with Atsumu in Hirakata will lead to some answers. At least he has a helpful friend group backing him up! Well... somewhat helpful. Alternatively: Pining, Third-Year Hinata has the hots for Rookie Atsumu, and it's becoming a problem.
Fandom: Haikyuu!! Title: Disequilibrium Author: bokubroya (liarielle) Pairing: None Rating: Teen Word Count: 15,200 Summary: “I received a call from Hinata’s father,” he begins, finally looking up at the rest of them. “For the time being, Hinata will not be returning to practice. His father didn’t provide many details, not yet at least. He did say that it’s not because of his injuries, Hinata has fully recovered. He also…” Takeda-sensei trails off then, his mouth pressing into a firm line. “Take-chan?” Tanaka is the first one brave enough to speak up. “What’s wrong?” Takeda-sensei takes a deep breath and squares his shoulders back, meeting their eyes. “He said that he can’t guarantee that Hinata will be coming back.” ----- Or, what if, after Hinata and Kageyama fight, Hinata questions whether he should continue playing with Karasuno?
Fandom: Hunter X Hunter Title: Harlequin Romance Author: athena_crikey Pairing: Gon Freecs/Hisoka Rating: Explicit Word Count: 26,104 Summary: “Um,” he says, and behind the desk the clerk looks up. His eyes, Gon sees in surprise, are a startling gold. They shine like candy-wrapper foil in the low light. “How much is the tea?” “Price varies by weight and selection,” replies the clerk in a soft tenor. He flicks his fingers towards the shelves; his nails are long and sharp like a mountain lion’s except that they’re painted pale blue, his fingers narrow and shapely. “The price is listed at the bottom of the label,” he intones as though he’s said it a thousand times. And yet somehow Gon can’t see many people stopping into this shop and even fewer interrupting the clerk to ask. Or: Hisoka runs a tea store as a front to a hit man business.
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: Eternity Enshrined Author: apartment Pairing: Fushiguro Megumi/Sukuna Rating: Explicit Word Count: 126,211 Series: Part 1 of Eternity Enshrined (Words: 144,935 - Works: 3) Summary: Transported back in time, Megumi must rely on the only familiar face in Heian Japan. Ryoumen Sukuna, a curse to some and deity to others, decides to keep him. The futility of Megumi’s plans distilled into desperation, which had him contemplating that name again: Ryoumen Sukuna, the only familiar one here. But the people spoke of Sukuna in this era with utter terror. There was no air of triumph like in the modern day. Sukuna hadn’t been sealed yet, and the world knew him as the unbeatable, invincible King of Curses. He wasn’t the Sukuna that Megumi knew.
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: sink my soul Author: ValkyrieGail Pairing: Fushiguro Megumi/Sukuna, Fushiguro Megumi/Itadori Yuuji, Fushiguro Megumi/Itadori Yuuji/Sukuna Rating: Explicit Word Count: 72,079 Summary: Fushiguro Megumi had thought the feelings were mutual. Embarrassed, Megumi tries to pretend as if it had never happened. Things might’ve been salvaged, had Sukuna not made his own interest known. Wherein Sukuna knows a catch when he sees one, and Megumi and Itadori struggle to navigate their newly complicated dynamic.
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: Bang, Bang Author: starryrajang Pairing: None (Gojo Satoru/Itadori Yuuji in Part 2) Rating: Teen Word Count: 2,593 Series: Part 1 of Two Step (Words: 5,789 - Works: 2) Summary: Yuuji teaches the girls how to dance in heels.

It’s no good being alone.” If his grandpa only knew, then he would not have been so earnest in his wish for Yuji to find his soulmate. Well, soulmates. Because unlike most people, Yuji has two soulmarks. AKA in which Yuji can see soulmarks and has two soulmates; communication is a three-way crossroads no one finds; and fate and choice are two sides of the same coin.
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: All Black Collection Author: athena_crikey Pairing: Gojo Satoru/Itadori Yuuji Rating: Explicit Word Count: 32,828 Summary: Gojou leans in close – too close, so close Yuuji thinks he’s coming in for a kiss and that would be weird but maybe also okay – and smiles. Then he reaches up and raises his glasses. His eyes are a colour Yuuji’s never seen before, like the blue sky shot through with diamonds, like stars in the daytime. “Oh,” says Yuuji, breath catching. Because he’s just found his muse. OR: Young fashion designer Itadori Yuuji is looking for the model who will make his career. Unfortunately, it happens to be a dumpster fire named Gojou Satoru.
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: See Through Me Author: athena_crikey Pairing: Gojo Satoru/Itadori Yuuji Rating: Explicit Word Count: 81,374 Summary: At 13 when the tests show that Yuuji’s a Filament, he believes everything the Sorcerer in the old-fashioned clothes who smells of incense and mosquito coils tells him. That it’s an honour, a privilege. That his life will be dedicated to the greatest purpose possible: bringing light to one born into darkness. At 18, he’s perceptive enough to know that being a Filament isn’t an honour, it’s to be a paid captive. That the state will require him to serve as someone’s guide dog for the rest of his life whether he likes it or not, because he happens to have the rare gift of being able to share his sight. So when he has to choose the Prism he’ll serve, why not choose the highest bidder – a high-powered Tokyo lawyer named Gojou Satoru?
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: A Fever You Can't Sweat Out Author: benicemurphy Pairing: Fushiguro Megumi/Gojo Satoru Rating: Explicit Word Count: 7,660 Summary: “Alright, everybody out,” a voice says, and after a few moments of shuffling feet and closing doors, the voice gets closer and lower. “Satoru,” the voice—Shoko—says, “you know what this is now, don’t you?” “It better not be,” Gojo growls. “But it is,” Shoko says. Megumi thinks he might hear pity in her voice. “And it looks like you’re the only one who can help him.”
Fandom: Jujutsu Kaisen Title: Four Eyes Author: athena_crikey Pairing: Fushiguro Megumi/Itadori Yuuji Rating: General Word Count: 3,649 Summary: One of these days, thinks Megumi. One of these days Itadori will realize Gojou is a walking disaster. One of these days he’ll start paying attention to the things around him. One of these days, he’ll realize Megumi has the world’s biggest crush on him. Not today though, apparently.

according to-
an Oikage drabble
According to ******, the end of the third and final Karasuno/Seijoh match went something like this:
****** stares at ******** from across the net. The gymnasium is packed with spectators, but the noise and bright lights melt away until just the two of them are left, alone.
Until just the two of them are left alone in this liminal space, the only source of light the white nine on ********’s jersey.
“Now we’re at one loss, one win,” ****** says, heart and tongue heavy with loss. “Don’t get on your high horse.”
********’s unusually blue eyes glow now, startlingly bright and threatening to cut right through him. “I won’t.”
And it sounds like a promise.
According to ********, the end of the third and final Karasuno/Seijoh match went something like this:
There was a moment where everything melted away as he celebrated with his teammates with his fists raised and legs tensed, feeling a part of something bigger than himself for the first time in years.
Even then he felt a gaze on his back, familiar and constant but still a reversal of their world's natural order. So ******** turns and looks, curiosity warring with apprehension.
There are no distractions here. The world seems silent and dark now, the only source of light being the white of ******’s jersey.
So ******** continues looking at ******, something he hasn’t been able to stop doing since he first set foot in the volleyball gym at K------- D-----. But he thinks it's strange being the one followed, the weight of responsibility hanging heavy on his shoulders like a king's mantle.
Predictably, ****** is the first to break the silence. “Now we’re at one loss, one win,” he says, voice heavy but at the same time burning with a desire for more, a promise that this isn’t over. “Don’t get on your high horse.”
******** makes a promise too, a response to the subtext he's hearing loud and clear. Never stop watching me, even when your talent exceeds my own. “I won’t.”
According to Hinata, the end of the third and final Karasuno/Seijoh match (in his first year, for surely there were more to come) went something like this:
There was a moment of celebration, the familiar joy and adrenaline that came from winning a volleyball match but all the more sweeter because they had risen from the ashes to face their challengers head on.
And then he sees ****** and ******** staring at each other from across the net, tension thick enough to cut with a knife.
Hinata’s ready to step in if things go south- ****** and ******** aren't exactly subtle about their distaste/respect for each other. But for the moment they seem to simply exist in each other's space, none of ******’s familiar taunts or ********’s easy rise to aggression making an appearance.
He thinks he sees ******’s mouth move and maybe ******** replies. But when they turn away from each other and walk towards their respective teams, ******** looks oddly content.

Your Fault (Haikyuu!!)
Primary Universe
Tumblr media
Summary: When Kageyama meets Oikawa at the park one afternoon, memories of his past resurface and he takes his anger out the safest way he knows how to.
A/N: So yeah...this one is pretty different, but I really like the story that's being set up here. Hopefully you'll like it, too!
Warning: Angst, mentions of abusive tickling
Word Count: 1,482
~~~
“Kageyama.”
His name came out in a low grumble, and Kageyama’s focus immediately shifted from the sky and the clouds back to reality. He blinked a couple of times, then turned to look at Oikawa, who stood nearby, glaring at him.
Great, he thought. If Hinata hadn’t needed to use the bathroom, I would never have had to see this jerk today. Still, he dipped his head in a stiff, polite greeting. “Oikawa.”
“What are you doing out here?” the older setter asked him, not even trying to hide his disdain. “This doesn’t really seem like your go-to getaway.”
Kageyama opened his mouth to ask what he was doing at a children’s playground as well, then remembered Oikawa had a young cousin. He was probably here with him. He grunted. “Just passing through. We’re taking a restroom break.”
“'We?'” Oikawa’s glare lifted only slightly. “Ah, is your little redhead around, too? How cute.”
Kageyama got to his feet. He was not in the mood for this today. “He’s probably finishing up by now. We’ll be on our way.” He moved to step around him to get to the bathrooms Hinata had disappeared into, but Oikawa stepped with him, getting into his path. Kageyama finally gave into his urge to glare right back at him. “What do you want?”
“Beating Shiritorizawa means nothing, you know.” Oikawa stuffed his hands in his pockets. “You’ll be crushed at Nationals. Mark my words.”
“Thanks for your encouragement.”
“You stole my last opportunity to go there from me. I hope you’re happy.”
Kageyama lifted his head and smirked. Oikawa had no idea how accurate he was. “I am.”
Anger flashed in Oikawa’s eyes before he smirked as well and took a step forward, getting close to Kageyama’s personal space. “I can still take you down, you know. In other ways. Don’t get cocky.”
Kageyama hated how much fear shot through him at those words. He took a step back, glancing over Oikawa’s shoulder to the bathrooms. Come on, Hinata! “You are not allowed to touch me. Not anymore.”
“Aw, what’s wrong? Is the King still sensitive?”
Kageyama didn’t answer. He didn’t need to.
Oikawa chuckled, shrugged, and finally stepped out of his way. “Well, like I said. Don’t go getting cocky just because you made it to Nationals. I won’t let you rub it in my face until you actually win Nationals, which we both know won’t happen.”
Kageyama strode past him, muttering, “You deserve it, you jerk.”
“What was that?” Suddenly Oikawa was behind him, strong hands grabbing Kageyama’s sides and squeezing hard. The younger setter barely registered the redhead finally emerging from the bathroom before he wrenched himself away from Oikawa’s grip and punched him in the jaw, sending him toppling to the ground in a heap.
Kageyama dropped his bag and lunged at his former upperclassman, doing the only thing he could think to do in the moment that wasn’t beating the crap out of him. His fingers found purchase anywhere they could – sides, ribs, belly, underarms. All of it made Oikawa sputter angrily and kick and writhe on the ground, but Kageyama wasn’t letting him go.
“Stop!” Oikawa growled, grabbing Kageyama’s wrists and gripping them hard enough to leave bruises. “Get off of me, you pathetic coward!”
“Never,” Kageyama growled back. “Never again! You don’t touch me. You are not allowed to touch me anymore!”
Somewhere nearby, Hinata stammered, “U-Um…Kageyama?”
“It’s not my fault you were such a snotty little brat in middle school,” Oikawa snapped, dodging the fingers aimed for his ribs. “You deserved everything you got!”
Kageyama yelled, grabbing Oikawa’s hips roughly and drilling into the bones, and Oikawa couldn’t help but shriek and laugh in response, still fighting back angrily. “STAHAHAHAHAP IT!!”
“No! Now you deserve exactly what you’re getting!” Kageyama merely straddled him to keep him from kicking, drilling even deeper, making Oikawa scream. “Now you know what it felt like!”
“Kageyama?” Hinata sounded concerned, but he didn’t intervene. He just hovered nearby, watching this all unfold in confused fascination. What was going on here?
“STOP!!” Oikawa screeched, laughing frantically and clearly hating every second of it. “YOU BRAHAHAHAHAT!! GET OHOHOHOHOFF!!”
Kageyama wasn’t focused on his words, or the way he fought, or even the fact that he’d finally made Oikawa just as helpless as he’d been three years ago when all of this started. All he could see were the faces, the voices, the mocking laughter aimed at him, his own pleas for it all to just stop, stop, stop—
“STAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!!” Oikawa’s face was turning red, tears leaking from his eyes as he laughed against his will due to the relentless, harsh tickling. He’d gone from grabbing Kageyama’s wrists to tapping on his arms, trying to surrender. “YOU WIHIHIHIHIHIHIN, DAHAHAHAHANG IT!! PLEHEHEHEHEHEASE!!”
The word ‘please’ finally brought Kageyama out of his tunnel vision, and he slowed to a stop, allowing Oikawa to catch his breath. He glanced over and saw Hinata staring at him, wide-eyed. Not afraid, just…curious. He sighed and turned back to the older setter.
“I may have deserved to get benched in middle school because I was a bad team player,” Kageyama said, voice edged with an emotion Hinata couldn’t place. “But I did not deserve to have something I enjoyed taken away from me because you decided it was ‘for my own good.’ You owe me an apology, Oikawa.”
Oikawa glared up at him for a long moment, then sighed, rolling his eyes. “Fine. I’m sorry I tickled you to tears one time, and the rest of the team kept it up after I left. I never told them to do it, you know. I’m not the only one you should be angry at.”
“You’re not.” Kageyama got off of him. “But they never would have thought about it if you hadn’t started it. So it’s still your fault.”
“Oh, cry me a river,” Oikawa muttered, but those words only served to get him straddled and tickled again. “NOHOHOHOHOHOHO!! KNOHOHOHOHOCK IT OFF!!”
“Did you think it was fun?!” Kageyama screamed, tickling so hard it almost couldn’t be considered tickling at this point. “Huh?! Is this fun for you, Oikawa? Tell me how much fun it is! You’re laughing so you must be having a good time, right? Right?!”
“Kageyama!” Hinata cried, hurrying forward to step in this time, grabbing the setter’s arm. “Take it easy, this isn’t—”
“It was bad enough that volleyball sucked in the two years after you left. But you had to go and take this away from me, too! It’s your fault I can’t enjoy it like I used to! Yours!”
“STAHAHAHAHAHAHAP!! STOP, I CAHAHAHAHAHAN’T BREHEHEHEHEATHE!!”
“Yeah? Well how do you think I felt, huh?!” Kageyama growled, then yelped when he felt fingers clawing into his sides. He whirled, but stopped short when he realized it was Hinata tickling him, not Oikawa. He stopped, and Hinata stopped, and everything went silent as all three of them caught their breath.
Hinata gripped Kageyama’s shoulder. “Nothing is going to be solved this way. You’re only going to make it worse for yourself, Kageyama. If you want to love tickling again, turning it on him isn’t going to do that for you.”
“You…you liked it?” Oikawa asked, sounding incredulous as he sucked in all the oxygen he could manage. He stared up at Kageyama, dumbfounded. “You liked it?”
“Yeah, I liked it,” Kageyama snapped. “Until you taught everyone how to use it against me, and then it became my worst enemy.”
Oikawa was silent for a long time. He moved to sit up, and Kageyama got off of him. He looked first at the younger setter, then at Hinata, then back again, and he frowned. “I didn’t know that,” he said at last, his voice quieter than before. “If that’s the case, then I’m sorry. Truly.”
Kageyama stared at him.
“Well, I’d wish you good luck at Nationals…” Oikawa got to his feet and brushed himself off, “…but I really don’t want you to win. So just try not to take the loss too hard, okay?” He smirked, turned, and waved over his shoulder. “See you, Tobio.”
The Karasuno boys watched him leave in utter silence, stunned by what had just happened here. Hinata glanced at the dark-haired setter, and suddenly everything Kageyama had ever said made sense to him.
“Stuff has happened, all right?”
“Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve wanted to be tickled? Only tickled?”
“I can’t just ask anymore.”
“He’s the reason?” Hinata asked quietly. “That one spot?”
Kageyama sighed. “Yeah. It was him.”
The redhead felt something inside him throb painfully on his friend’s behalf. He wrapped his arms around Kageyama’s shoulders. The setter stiffened, but didn’t move. “We’ll figure this out, all right? We can get you to love tickling again.”
Kageyama scoffed, but when he spoke, he was smiling. “I’m counting on it.”
