im going through my once every few months binge of buzzfeed unsolved and other paranormal youtubers while im knitting and i hate how often "loud human footsteps" are put down as undeniable proof of something walking around because you wanna know what also sounds like a fully grown man stomping around in a space where a human shouldnt even be and is active late at night?
we had one of these in an old ass windmill we were staying in in france one time and when i tell you this little thing sounds like a giant man in combat boots on your roof i mean it.
At some point it dragged in a mouse that started to rot (gross) and had maggots growing in it (grosser) and because it was in the cieling it started Raining Maggots Inside (The Grossest). If we hadn't known it was a ferret i wouldve thought we were stuck in some conjuring shit in the french countryside. If you say your remote old building has rotting smells and footsteps its not infested by demons youve got something worse: a fucking creature
#the bee speaks#no hate to ferrets i do actually think theyre adorable#the cherry on top of this is the windmill was 1000 years old and had a creepy as hell room at the end#with the GROSSEST vibes. 10 yr old me was scared to go in levels bad. and in the walls of it was a jar with beef#that had been found during renovations as an ancient protection ritual from 1400 something#UBER haunted building potential. it was far away from the rest of the village with no cell reception even#but no ghouls or whatever just an old builing and A Creature

However#the group I was with before was very much not one for roleplaying most of the time so the previous charas never got any development#xi was my second character for a cos game after my og one died to the windmill hags and dm ruled the were supposed to be soulless#but in trying to play them like that I accidentally got really involved in figuring out their motivations and personality#and I developed them and they got sad when another party member died#and even after that game got tpk'd because the dm got bored xi sticked around in my head#and then I was invited to join a different cos campaign by online friends I had made and I decided to reuse them there#and now here we are 3 years later and we've beaten strahd but there's more bullshit afoot so we're still playing and I'm still playing them#all that is to say that xilant's very important to me ;u;
