Hey OMG every cast that is in your pilot IDWTBAMG has all played my favorite characters I'm soooo excited!

Are you good friends with all the cast members?

How did you all become good friends?

Do you keep in Contact with them?

Most of them are internet friends!! I feel like voice actors and people who work in animation tend to run in the same circles haha

I knew Anairis' fiancé, AJ first! We've been mutuals ever since we both worked on Pokémon Path to the Peak (i was a storyboard artist/writer and he was the voice of Joshua). He's been so kind and encouraging about pppidwtbamg since I started posting about it and was the reason I was able to get in contact with Anairis to voice Aika! And Anairis has been lovely. Such a sweet person and super hardworking VA. I was able to meet them and AJ in person at Anime Impulse a couple months back~

Marieve's a friend of mine from Big City Greens! I'm a storyboard artist/director on the show and she voices Tilly. We first met at our S1 premiere party~ She was so helpful in regards to this pilot. I'd initially just asked if she had any voice directing tips but she told me she could just do it with me and also voice whatever characters I needed~

Shara's also a friend I know in person! I think we first met irl at party Sarah Natochenny hosted when the finale for the Pokémon Journeys dub aired~ We've hung out a few times since then! She's a delight and when I posted the bios for these character she said she wanted to voice DeVoid (before I even decided I was gonna make a pilot) and of course I was like "YES"

I've known Michele since 2020 and she started streaming. I've been a guest on her streams a few times and we still message a bunch! She's super supportive of my art (and the jessiexdelia stuff) and I've done con prints for her a few times~ She's always checking in on me and my girlfriend and making sure we're doing good heehee

Aleks has been a long time twitter mutual of mine! We've commented on each others' posts and dm'd here and there~ I did a print for him a while ago too when he announced he was the voice of Leon in Evolutions and Piers in Pokemon Masters.

I didn't know Christine personally prior to this project so I was really happy that she was down to help! We talked a lot when we had our in person recording session for the pilot and I found out we had a mutual friend! We're all planning to hang out soon~

Bennett's also someone I didn't know personally prior to this project but I've been a big fan of her voice work for a long time! We didn't get to talk a whole lot but she was so encouraging about this pilot and said that she loved the script which made my life. Super easy to work with and an INCREDIBLE comedian/improvisor. Her improv as Zira was some of my favorite and a lot of it made it into the pilot hehe

SFTH Chaotic Highlights (OMG Is This A Joke)

Alright, I'm finally starting to make these for the longforms! These are gonna be quite a bit longer than the other two I've made, since these videos are (typically) longer and I have a lot of thoughts about them lol (edit while writing, less than halfway through the video - yeah, I have way more to say than I thought I would)

Before I even get into the video itself, I just love the bold move of having their first Youtube longform be one about nazis, let's people know the kind of humor they'll be getting from these guys lmao

Also shout out to the not insignificant number of people who fully didn't recognize AJ with hair

Luke's executive decision to grab a prop gun and just stand there like 🧍🏼

"If he was only a foot and a half taller, he would be a perfect nazi!" Still one of my favorite Luke short jokes, because if I was him I genuinely wouldn't know how to take that observation-

Not sure why Sam chose the puffy purple jacket for his villain character, but at least we get to call him Ze Blackberry now

I'd like to imagine as Sam was introducing himself, he looked over to Luke like 'oh shit right, he's still just fucking standing there, I should probably include him somehow' and to Sam that ofc meant flirting with him

Which btw is the strangest flirting attempt I've ever seen- "Beautiful little pocket-sized Aryan" and "Sexy little ferret" ?? Guys I've never flirted with anyone but I don't think he's doing it right

"Guten Abend" Luke/Hans isn't good at this flirting thing either, but at least they're both having fun

Two French brothers casually parachuting over Berlin during World War II, nothing weird about that

"Ja- yes- er, oui! I'm trilingual, I'm sorry" Idk if it's the language confusion or the fact he apologized to the nazi, but this was a great line

"The plan is working perfectly, we're making them uncomfortable. Keep it up!" Luke, who has done very little in that regard except respond to Sam: "Okay!!" *just keeps standing there*

"Hard day being a nazi?" Considering you're currently giving him a backrub and are probably about to fuck him, I'd say he's having a pretty good day

Before Luke's BAFTA winning portrayals of grief in The Evil Make-A-Wish Kid and The Grape Depression, we had AJ's sobbing in OMGITAJ

So glad this play was set mainly in France so AJ could show off his French knowledge in the best ways (skipping across the stage and singing)

Sam characteristically entering briefly as an unspecified beast that for simplicity I'm going to call a ram

Genuinely one of my favorite and most underappreciated moments in the video is Katherine assigning Luke's character a feminine name, which he clearly didn't expect, and he just takes a moment to reevaluate life, while staring at the comedically placed banana in his hand. 10/10 fantastic bit

"My husband has been captured" "You know this for sure?" "Well he didn't come home and he's a French spy so" Fair logic that was 100% correct

"I already have a husband" "Well Xavier will have to wait until he's officially dead then" rip Jean-Luc man, at least Sarah seems to genuinely love him and be loyal though, good for them

Tag yourself, I'm AJ fangirling heavy over Xavier as he walks onstage

"I could have mimed it but I did not" has and forever will live in my brain rent free, bro had no reason to do that but took the fucking opportunity

Also Sarah's friend (did she ever get a name?) is simping for Xavier more than Sarah herself, they could've just fucked instead

I've already made a whole post about my love for pre-reveal Xavier, but jesus, can you blame me? This character is the actual reason I started being attracted to Tom in the first place, why is he so SMOOTH-

Also the fact Luke didn't even flinch when Tom tilted his chair back and just nonchalantly crossed his legs- This whole scene is perfect istg

"I'm just going to take a few pictures-" That's so real of you girl

"I am a man" Gonna start saying this in front of the mirror as affirmations in the morning, same tone and everything

Katherine getting into Sam's carriage with a pumpkin (For some reason??) and Sam pausing not once, but twice, and eventually deciding to proceed as normal and not question it

Jean-Luc: *crying because trauma* Katherine: "Aw.. If you're thirsty you could drink it!" Katherine might've earned her place as my favorite 5th SFTH member they've had

Big Hans showing up with an entirely different vibe from the last time we saw him- Maybe because he's not busy being gay with Ze Blackberry

But really, why is this nazi boy so excited about the french language while he's taking over their country

"Les coqs :D" Sir what is this energy you're putting out, it's confusing me

I like that instead of just saying something like "It's a French horse, why do I care if I kicked it" he's just like "German horses wouldn't give a shit, your horses are just weak"

I'd just like to point out that Big Hans didn't get shot from what I could tell, so he could technically still be alive. Idk what to do with that information, I just wanted it out there

The cleaner just being like "what a fucking mess, god I hate my job" as if Xavier and Sarah aren't currently having a whole plot-altering revelation in the same room

Oh yeah, and this is also the moment I was very relieved Sarah was a better person than me (/hj) and didn't sleep with Xavier

Also, mostly unrelated, but Katherine's voice specifically as the cleaner reminds me of DHMIS every single time and idk why

"Are you quite finished??" "... Honestly, no"

"But who would do that? Who would do- It was me" He tried to be mysterious but Xavier really wanted credit for what he did

Sam the Ram returns! Very cool that their first video had classics of all kinds: Sam being a chaotic animal, AJ getting to be French, Tom being a sexy German, and Luke being an equally-attractive-but-not-quite-as-played-up woman

"Never Give Annabelle A Gun" commentary :-)

I was there for the premiere, so this is my SECOND watch-through! I have lots of thoughts on it that I wanna share, because I had SO much fun, but I don't wanna spam. So I decided to compile them into a post like I've seen other people do!

Obviously, spoilers ahead!! And let's get to it YEEHAWWWW!!!

Immediately adored Butch and she remained my favourite character over the course of the play. One of the very few messages I sent my friends after the premiere started:

2. "I was wondering if she wanted to come out" surprisingly didn't turn into a gay joke, but like. I can't be the only one who was thinking about it.

3. "Looking at dresses and findin' ourselves husbands" is rapidly entering my lexicon. It's like a version of "and they were roommates" and "2 bros chillin in a hot tub" but imbued with SFTH greatness. Also real.

4. I love their little gestures and facial expressions, this isn't exclusive to a certain play, but it stood out to me for Annabelle since she doesn't get to talk much at first. They can be so funny and - perhaps more importantly - they make the characters feel so REAL!<333

5. When I got to this part I was genuinely expecting a wolf to show up later in the story. Dinosaur-wielding-guns style.

6. Good thing these are stereotypical /j/ lesbians and not stereotypical bisexuals. Imagine getting triggered every time they pull out the finger guns! Good lord!

21. The manager twirling after seeing Butch's spinny motion lmaooooo. Also wait, they got DIAMONDS?! Yeah I don't think those 5 dollars are gonna be a problem anymore..

22. AJ inserting a Cinderella element into the story reminded me of him seemingly not recognizing a Beauty And The Beast reference in another video... Also the whole "wolf" thing from earlier, I thought he was gonna make this into a fairytale story to bring that back late into the show or something! No I didn't particularly want that, I was just genuinely convinced it'd happen :-)))

23. "Mama was the same" took me out, 10/10.

24. Her face after the dad says "And y'know, you hang out with Butch an awful lot, and Butch..." AWGHHHH

25. "It's just 'she' daddy" "Oh well, give it time" was SOOOO realllllll. She'll get there if (when) she does <3

30. I wanna know who this guy is and what happens to him after the villain's dead. Silly

31. "Flirting vs. sexual harrassment" meme. If you've seen Cinderella's Castle, yes we all had deja vu. I don't like the Prince getting excited off of Ella's shoe, but Butch can do it alllllll she wants because DAMMIT, can't a lesbian goofball be a little freak sometimes?? Good for them.

32. "I've been waiting my whole life to find that woman" sir, the robbery happened just a few weeks ago--

33. "Fine, I'll tell you.. Just.... come closer" KILLED MEEEEEE. I love you Butch x2

35. I know Tom clarified in the QnA, but I also never would've thought there was a pig CARRYING the helium, so I didn't get his shock at the "pumping helium out of the pig" bit. Is it messed up? Absolutely. But I thought that's what he wanted!!! He said "a pig full of helium!!" Also, Luke ONCE AGAIN being the animal AND the animal handler.

36. "I was just reminding myself who I am so that I remember who I am" and "I'm gonna sit in my chair, which is right here where I left it" might've been the most quoted lines for me if I was still at the peak of my psychosis and dissociation issues........ but thankfully that's not the case! lol (tho I can still appreciate&use it, like some of the stuff in I Killed The Mockingbird <3)

37. Was the piano guy picking at his bellybutton. Hey

38. The scene of Henry trying to persuade (and then force) Annabelle to be with him was genuinely super eerie, both on account of Luke and AJ's acting and how realistic it felt (in my experience at least, not to generalize). The tension, the quiet, the shift from "an excuse to slide into conversation" to intimidation, the slow bubbling rage from both of them. Like damn okay! Really making me want this guy dead if I didn't already! Henry and Henry should NOT be on speaking terms............. Um on a more lighthearted note, how the hell did Henry fit that shoe on top of Annabelle's shoes? Or did she go to Butch's place with one shoe still missing? I can see her walking around barefoot, countryside style, but it's funnier to imagine he's in so deep that he thinks it "fits perfectly" even with her other shoes forcibly stuffed into it.

39. Laughed so hard... And Tom's reaction :-)))))

40. "YOU WANT A GIRL WITH A GUN??" from Butch was AWESOME. Like yeah okay it'd be cool if she WAS the target of his affection, but it's a million times better considering the actual circumstances. So badass, the video description wasn't lying. I love you Butch (again)

I keep saying that but I'LL GET THERE I SWEAR TO GOD!!

Edit before I go to sleep: I would also like to add that my internal monologue now has a southern accent. This has not happened before (aside from me switching between english and romanian randomly) and I have no idea how long it'll last. But okay.

“Why did you eat that?” Tom’s little hiccup laugh because thats a glorious starting line

Aj starting us off with silent humor- i love when they do this because they do it so well- and his side eye at luke like “are you watching? You have to see when I eat it Luke.”

“Because you made it for me.” When Luke grabbed his arm to stop him Aj was fully ready to throw hands omg this whole exchange is so perfect- also ajs slight break as he returns to his “food” while luke just contemplates how he’s going to work in a deep voiced AJ into his planned scene

“Every sunday,” Luke’s little smile and head nod of “oh do go on AJ..” and AJ’s little smile of “shit” is priceless i love them so much

“And then you write your name on them.” AJ barely concealing his laughter at his own bullshit will never not be funny to me

“Wait for me to offer the sandwich-” Ok so I made a post a while back that was complaining about how Luke and AJ somehow never managed to have very positive/non-toxic relationships together- and I’m starting to think it might be Luke’s fault…

“I’m sorry.” Aj is so good at making himself the sympathetic character omfg

“May I continue to eat the sandwich that you’ve mad-” Laughs because the audience is losing it but oh no thats not okay for luke

“What are you laughing at??” See, I feel like AJ apologized and is trying to make amends so they can have a cute little date- but Luke is just pinpointing and hyperfocusing and not letting anything go… maybe im reading too much into it

“Um, ok well-” “IM VERY ANGRY RIGHT NOW. If thats not clear.” Gotta say the communication is pretty good though

“Im sorry, Janice, Im sorry.” I love how the audience explodes with this and Luke looks away because shit Aj you made me a lesbian- happy lesbians technically except Janice left her wife and kids so…

“Ill go. Ill disembark-” Has Tom been like reading thesaurus words to AJ or why is he pulling out these vocab words lmaoo

Nope now Luke is laughing too much- “I disembarked from a very successful lesbian relationship-” oh and the audience is gone Luke has said it aloud lol

“Women respect women Alfred.” “I respect-” listen, I adore Luke’s little rant right now because its just so absolutely beautiful and wonderful- but again AJ is being very sympathetic rn and why does Luke not want a happy relationship with him😭

“You hate me and so do all the other people in this park..” MY BABBYYYYYY😭 poor baby

“I had free bites.” Aj, babes I love you but that was more than three in the beginning there

“If you want to go back to your previous relationship-” AJ im gonna cry don't do this- “Then you can go.” The audience awwing is the most relatable thing ever.

Get Off The Plane

The prompt- immediate fear in Luke’s eyes when Tom takes his shoe off is brilliant

Tom please😭 his little joyous face as he realizes he can keep going and takes his socks off too because Luke hasnt said the line yet

“I don't like speaking to strangers.” So, this is gonna pose a problem. Because Luke has clearly indicated he is the pilot. Which means Tom is his co pilot. But Tom is not daft, he very well knows Luke intends to be the pilot. So he’s being stubborn too and sticking to his story. Luke will likely stick to his story too. So now we have two characters with opposite plans for the story. Lovely. I cannot wait

Draping a sock over his arm is foul and Luke is contemplating murder lmaooo

Ooh this is an interesting ask because I've never actually thought about that. Angela joined Starkid RIGHT after Starkid Homecoming where a lot of the newer cast members met Carlos, so I don't know if there's been any time where they actually could've met. Like obviously Mariah and Carlos were both in Starkid Homecoming which is why we see stuff about her commenting about him and whatnot (like I loved her commenting on his Orpheus announcement post Hadestown posted), but idk if Angela was around for that.

Although, I know Angela and Mariah met virtually during a livestream. Was that during one of the 10niversary ones or after Starkid Homecoming? Because if they knew Angela was gonna be in Black Friday back then, then she could've gone to one of the Starkid Homecoming shows and met him there. Actually, Mariah was only not in Black Friday because of being cast as Regina George though and I think if I remember correctly that casting announcement happened DURING Starkid Homecoming, so I'm assuming that livestream when they virtually met was one of the ones after Starkid Homecoming. I can't remember if there was any Black Friday livestream during the 10niversary or if that was after it because I remember Black Friday being part of the Starkid 10niversary stuff that they had planned but I feel like it was after idk. Ok I just checked and Mariah and Angela met virtually in a livestream from OCTOBER 2019 so Angela was NOT part of Starkid during Starkid Homecoming, so she probably didn't attend it.

I just wrote down my thought process as I answered this ask so sorry if it's all over the place and that we took a detour with the Mariah and Angela stuff lol. But yeah basically to tie it back to what you were ACTUALLY asking lol, I feel like the only time they could've met would've been at Starkid Homecoming but since she didn't go to that, unless they saw each other somewhere else in the past 6 years, I don't think Angela and Carlos have met unfortunately. But now I REALLY want to see them interact omg! I think they would be really fun to see together!

You and Aj have been dating for 5 months. It's been amazing. You are a racer and this year you got signed with the leading team in F1, Redbull. You were overjoyed and had your first race in a week. You invited Aj and told him to get his friends along as well. 

A week later

The first GP was in Baku, and you had just reached. You went to your hotel and were planning to have lunch with Aj and his friends. You had never met them but you had watched a few of their videos when Aj showed you their channel, and you thought they were hilarious. Aj texts you to come downstairs. You go to the reception and you see Aj standing. “AJ!!” You shout and run over to hug him. You hadn't met in a week since you were so busy with practice. “Y/N, I missed you soo muchh” He says hugging you back. “Are we ready to go?” You ask about the lunch. “I just need to go to my room and wait for the guys to get ready too” He replies “Okayy, im just gonna go get ready as well” You both go into the elevator, Aj gets off on the 3rd floor, where u see his friends, wave slightly before the elevator goes to your floor.

Aj goes to his friends. “Your telling me you pulled her??” Kenny asks. “NO CHANCE MAN BROS LYING” Chunkz shouts louder than expected. “Yeah??” Aj replies confused to all the commotion. “Aj, you know your my friend right? Like we live together and im so close to you, but i call bullshit” niko says. “Aint no way shes your girlfriend, shes too pretty” sharky added on. “I cant believe this man. HOW DO YOU LOT NOT BELIEVE ME?” Aj gets upset. “Nice one bro, its gonna be a great video for you” Chunkz laughs and the rest join in. “I dont even care, just go get ready in 10 minutes for lunch” Aj says as he shakes his head and goes to his room.

10 mins later

All the guys meet up downstairs and are waiting for y/n. “Sooooo your “girlfriend” isn't here yet huh aj?” Niko says, air-quoting girlfriend. “She's coming omg guys believe me she's my girlfriend,” Aj says getting sick of his friends. “Right right we totally believe you bro,” Sharky says sarcastically. Then y/n comes out of the elevator “AJ!! Here!” you shout at him. “Y/N!!” He says back as you walk towards him and his friends. “Guys this is y/n my girlfriend, and y/n this is Niko, Chunkz, Sharky, and Kenny,” He said pointing at each one. “Hey guys, im glad I can finally meet you all!” you say while smiling. All the guys stand with their jaws dropped. “SEE I TOLD YOU!” Aj shouted at them. “What?” you say confused. One of them, you remember as Chunkz says “We saw you in the elevator before, and since youre soo pretty, we just assumed Aj was making this whole thing up as a prank, and we didn't believe him at all… Clearly we were wrong”. You laugh while Aj stands there pouting. “But why?” Kenny asks. “Cause y/n is beautiful, kind and ambitious af?” Aj says like it's the most obvious thing. “No I get that, i was wondering why she would choose you, she's literally a goddess-looking F1 driver, and you're a rat,” He says and all the boys laugh. “Awww, he may be a triangle, but he's a cute triangle” You reply which gets then laughing even more. Aj smacks your arm as you giggle. “She's funny too?? Damn Aj you got nothing over her” Niko says as all of you walk out to go to lunch.

I was seriously so uncertain about this chapter, and I think I'm still going to go back and do a little editing to get some more adverbs out because my prose went full on purple a couple times lmao, but I was so nervous to post it and then YOU GUYS COME AND MAKE MY YEAR

I'm sorry i'm just like overcome with emotion rn I'm still going to respond to the comments because i want to thank you all individually but I needed to let you know how much you lightened my new year. I still can't believe there are some people who have been coming to my fic chapter after chapter every single update for almost or over a year now, bearing with my multiple absences, occasional questionable plot choices/canonical mishaps (nobody mention the Tui/La thing I am still sooo embarrassed about that 🙈), and even language barriers to show love to this project. It's easy to get caught up in the numbers as an Ao3 author but you all have really shown me that the worth of my writing isn't in how many hits it gets or in whether the chapter is below 10k or if the ship is pulling in readers, but in how it connects us with a love for the characters and captures our imaginations. I adore it when you comment with theories and get excited over where the plot seems to be headed, and even though it's just a little fic on Ao3 it's really made me feel like I'm part of something. Which is an incredibly feeling.

This all to say, you all are bringing me to tears on a Tuesday morning 😂 every comment and involvement is such an inspiration. Heck, seeing peoples' bookmark notes climb through chapters makes my heart feel full!

Suuper cheesy, I know and I do not apologize because for all the support you all have been giving my writing, you deserve to know how much of an impact it makes :')

so these guys are still in that lil dating sim game idea i've been drawing characters for! june and aj are kind of antagonists? and trison is one of armony's friends! :-) the other four are kind of side characters doing their own thing, but god i used to b Obsessed with drawing them in high school, so drawing them again takes me back :-3
