[PUT INTO PLACE, TIED DOWN AND ARRANGED,
AND IS NEVER THE SAME, AGAIN.]<-listen to my favorite songs.
VAMPIRES ARE WONDERFUL ARENT THEY. THE FLESH IS SO MUCH MORE DURABLE. SO MUCH STRETCHIER THAN HUMANS. THE STRESS DOESNT KILL A VAMPIRE THE SAME WAY IT DOES A HUMAN. YOU CAN TAKE THEM APART THREAD BY THREAD AND LEAVE THEM WIDE AWAKE WITHOUT WORRY OF THE BRAINMATTER SPOILING UNDER VINEGARY AGONY.
That one chef saying that the worst thing about a bad boss is how they unlock that behavior in you and seeing Carmy mirror the attitude of the chef that terrorized him and gave him panic attacks and then ending the season with Syd having a panic attack because of the stress of working with Carmy...diabolical.
FiNALLY MORE ART… Srry I’ve been gone for a while!!!!!! I… have just.. been super busy. And I’m still busy lol. I got a lot goin on!!!! But… But…!!! I managed to finish some art today!!! Thank god lol- so yeah! Behold this funky nurse creature..! she will be committing medical malpractice on u..!!! And that is a promise!! Or ur money back guaranteed!
Whenever the Lin Kuei go out on a mission, they probably use fake names that they draw out of a hat to avoid suspicion.
Bi-Han crossing fingers: Please don't be a awful name, please for the love of the gods-And it's Blake. Bland but it would be worse.
Cyrax: I got Conner. Not bad.
Kuai: I got Kandance...I don't know how to feel about this.
Sektor: For some reason, I got Simon. It just doesn't fit me.
Smoke cringing: I got Willow. It sucks. Can I pick another one?
Sektor: We don't have time for it.
Smoke groans.
Ha! But what if those dorks actually make up the weirdest name or pick the most difficult to say to mess up with people? I bet Tomas could pick Polish name like Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz just to be the pain in the ass while Kuai Liang and Bi-Han go with all the most unique variants of Ice or Cold in any possible language - or in case of Bi-Han, calling himself Shang Tsung just to irks one sorcerer if he is in mood to annoy him XD. Cyrax joins for the lulz, while Sektor is the only one trying to be not suspicious at all (and somehow always drawing the most attention because his life can’t be easy for once, not with those crazy bastards around 🤣)
But then again, Bi-Han may not bother at all; with the Mythologies: Sub-Zero's storyline, it seems he is destined for quick type of missions, as in get in, kill and/or steal and get out so I guess, one way or another, not many people will be left alive to tell his real name…
Time for another underappreciated episode highlight: Gridlock is absolutely stunning on what it does on several levels. The world building (the absolutely great build up of the drug alley/reveal about bliss later, the shots of the Doctor climbing through cars showing off all of the different species/characters, the chats through the car radios/moment of faith, the continuation of the New New York plotline), the character work (the Doctor realizing how much he screwed up and could possibly lose Martha, Martha calling him out on his lies, the relationship with the Face of Boe), the set up for future plotlines (the religious metaphors that would continue to Last of the Time Lords, "You are Not Alone," hell, even the Face of Boe shielding the Novice from the virus if you watch Torchwood/Children of Earth), and the music. God, the music! I've relistened to the track "Boe" at the end of the episode on repeat since I first rewatched it a couple of days ago, it's so hopeful both because of what the Doctor and Martha and the Face of Boe have given New New York and because it's indicative of where the Doctor and Martha's relationship is going and the whole episode is absolutely amazing and yet it feels so overlooked by the fandom in favor of Blink. Season 3 has so many amazing episodes, possibly the strongest run save Season 1, and Gridlock is an amazing example of the sheer scale of storytelling you can tell in a single episode of Doctor Who.
If you're sitting here saying, "Well, I prefer one way, but many games don't offer that, so I taught myself another way instead," I am asking about the first part! How would you play if the games you had to change your style for had just let you play it your way in the first place?
If you voted or are interested in the results, please reblog for a larger sample size. :)
thinking about how people (generally the ones that don't like anakin, let's be real) whenever they want to use arguments about how bad he is -as if the ppl that like anakin aren't aware that murder is bad- usually will use "you're taking away all of Anakin's agency by blaming Palpatine or how the order didn't help him"
Because, yes, it was his decision. But in the context of the story, he actually had very little agency. And that's not downplaying anything, is not throwing away his character and making him less interesting: The lack of agency is a fundamental part of his character, is glued into his core, Anakin's life, 90% of it, was about not making his own decisions because the slave mentality always followed him.
Is just a bit tiring, of course he isn't innocent, and of course you can't say he's a good person. But is a fact that he was groomed and abused and tortured by the man that manipulated the senate and the jedi order, is a fact he grew up in an extremely hyperviolent enviroment to the point he makes jokes about people blowing up at age 9
palpatine played chess against himself using the whole galaxy as his board and even the jedi order was fooled, and you expect a extremely traumatized kid with very little support that grew into viweing Palpatine as a father figure, to best him? Yes, he did have a choice, but in his fucked up, very damaged mind with zero treatment at all, how much agency did Anakin really have?
[ID: digital fanart of the owl house. The piece features Luz, the collector, and kid belos. Luz is in her season 3 design holding her bat and a backpack with her palismen inside. Both items are at her side and she looks on at the audience with a determined expression. The collector is on her left and is facing away from us with a mischievous face. Kid belos is on Luz's right, holding a wooden sword in one hand. The shading on him is reminiscent of a 1600s ink ink drawing. The background is black and white text above the characters reads "thanks to them, 15/10/22". End ID]
Happy owl house eve folks! Sorry about the UK date system <3
Trying to figure out how to word the fact that old people in a future setting would be elite video game experts.
Like with handling a controller, like all these kids these days and their newfangled computer brains, back in MY day we could type 500 words a minute with our FINGERS and had the twitch responses of a god.
Doc headshots Deimos 6 times in their game and Deimos has no idea what the fuck is going on because he doesn’t know how to aimbot.
