i promised myself "before I go back to school in the fall, something HAS to get better. SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER."
and i made the appointments, had the conversations, I spent hours wringing my brain out googling discussing with friends and family, thinking of SOMETHING, ANYTHING i could approach disability services about now that my previous suggestions had been shot down, and i went there with a list and i was like "hey is there ANY of this stuff you can do to help me" and basically? No
i asked "maybe i could have few extra excused absences so I can rest when i'm overloaded" but the lady was like Well we couldn't do that because you would miss the material in class
I asked "maybe i could have limited group projects so i don't have to be working on something with 4 other people every single day because social interaction is really tiring" she was like Well we can't do it if it would change the course substantially but we can ask that professors tell you if there's going to be lots of group projects so you can drop the class
I asked "maybe i can do in class writing assignments in a separate room so it will be less stressful" she was like well what if we couldn't guarantee that another room would be available where some one could monitor you
This is after the possibility of a partial course load was shot down (i could request it because of 'extenuating circumstances' but there's no guarantee it would be approved, and anyway i don't even know if it would fucking help) and several other things
Going back to school is just weighing on me crushing me. The past two semesters I have been so unrelentingly exhausted, miserable and alone. I hated my classes SO much and spent so much time crying.
All my classes are stupid busy work , just like worksheets that are like "do all these tiny little steps" that micromanage you painfully as if you can't be trusted to have your own independent thoughts" while the professor sits on their phone.
The grades are made up of a thousand tiny bullshit assignments that you have to remember at the right time, if you know the material and even care about learning it, it doesn't even matter.
I took a PLANT science class last semester that I honest to god hated so much it took all the strength in my body to even go to class. I LOATHED it and I got a C in it even though it was highschool level crap and the assignments were so restrictive that they basically punished you for being passionate about anything, I would try to be creative or dig more deeply on things and my classmates (it was always a mother fucking group project because the professor didn't want to fucking lecture, just give us something to kill time like we were fucking preschoolers) hated it because creativity or thinking outside the box would always make the assignment harder for everyone and I would fuck up the grade and it made me feel so ashamed
Same class where the professor said "you can tell this is a peer reviewed journal article because it's written in two columns along the page" like what. What. Huh. What.
There is so little flexibility too like the requirements are so specifically made to "mold" me a certain way. No one sees anything I have already learned or is interested in my potential and ability and passion and keen interest that i HAVE IN ABUNDANCE by the way, and the classes are so boring and passionless
I approached a lady in the arts department about an independent study involving natural plant fibers but she was like "no sorry i only work with seniors and you would have to take these 2 of my other classes"
There is so much more that's stupid and dysfunctional about this college that is too specific to discuss with privacy online, but let it suffice to say that it's a school that wants the reputation of being really challenging and rigorous soooooo bad but it actually just has 1000 inflexible requirements that eliminate everyone's free time and assigns metric tons of tedious busy work, because being "hard" means our academics are "rigorous" right? but the quality of the academics is not good, the classes are not engaging or encouraging you to think more deeply they are just painful.
And no one, fucking no one in these classes is engaging with the work with any energy or passion or enthusiasm, the professors can't get a discussion going, everyone is just staring like a bunch of zombies because their classes r like the equivalent of two full time jobs so of course no one can Engage Deeply with them they have no fucking energy
the food is like eating out of the garbage. they reheat the same pieces of pizza over and over until they're like dried out and leathery like something from a pharaohs tomb. they have bagels kept in a box and they're so stale you can't even bite into them. I got sour, rotten milk from the milk machine so many times my stomach eventually couldn't take drinking milk from there at all.
i hate, hate, hate, HATE that place so much i start crying every time I try to make plans for fall because there is so little fucking joy in my life when i'm there it's like being trapped underground.

Are feathered friends better than human coworkers? Why not try out an Ornithology career for your sims! Once more requested by @catrillion, we wanted to work on something that incorporated a specific form of laws protecting animals, and came up with this.
This job is available for YA - Elder, and you can join via the Arboretum. Please note you will need to either play this in Moonlight Falls or save the Arboretum lot and place it in another neighbourhood for this to show up in game!
You will need to level Fishing, Science, and the hidden skill WildlifeFriend. This latter one maxes out at level 6. You can change and track this using MasterController, and the metrics in the job panel will update as you progress it.
No opportunities, uniforms, or books, and the lower levels will not have a carpool so make sure to send your sims to work manually!
Please note if you want to use this, you must have Nraas Careers installed for it to show up!
There are three custom tones:
Read Journals (increase Science) Socialise the Birds (WildlifeFriend) Survey the Park (Fishing)
Meet/Hang With Coworker have also been changed to "Meet Birds," and "Chill With the Birds."
If anyone can translate for me, I'd be very grateful!
Level descriptions under the cut:
Enthusiast - 10 simoleans p/h, 10:00 - 16:00, M-F
Description: You’ve loved birds for as long as you can remember; the family budgie that sat on your finger, the class cockatoo that someone taught to swear. You spend most of your days working the checkout at EverFresh Supermarket staring out the window at the trees in the car park, where a flock of parakeets have their nest. Maybe it’s time to spread your wings and look for a more interesting job?
Amateur Ornithologist - 15 sp/h, 10:00 - 16:00, M-F
Description: You’ve bid farewell to the checkout and instead set up camp in the local park, photographing birds for your local twitcher group on Sims Social. The pay is chickenfeed (unless you photograph Mothman himself) but your online friends might know where you might find something that pays more of the bills…
Park Volunteer - 20 sp/h, 09:00 - 17:00, W,T,F,S,U
Description: Now this is certainly better than the supermarket! The pay is still terrible but you get to spend your time outdoors at your local wildlife park – and most importantly, with your avian associates. Clean out their pens, guide lost tourists, and do a coffee run or three; you might make enough friends to get a little higher on the perch.
Conservation Education Guide - 40 sp/h, 09:00 - 18:00, W,T,F,S,U
Description: Despite their awkward reputation, ornithologists are a chatty lot when it comes to their favourite subject. The general public don’t tend to know a lot about birds, muddling up their crows and their ravens, and think that leaving out generic birdseed is just as good as black sunflower seeds, raisins, and tasty mealworms. Give them a lecture to remember – oh, and try to shill the organic bird food in the gift shop.
Intern - 45 sp/h, 09:00 - 18:00, W,T,F,S,U
Description: An actual job title and pay that doesn’t leave you eating ramen all week! Granted, it’s a lot of book learning along with the hands-on experience, with long hours studying and memorising complicated Latin names, but keep at it. Onwards and upwards!
Park Ranger - 55 sp/h, 05:00 - 14:00, W,T,F,S,U
Description: You’ve finally got your hat but it looks like you’ll be wearing a lot of them; being a park ranger means dealing with the public too. As well as showcasing the beauty of the natural world, you’ll be delivering activities to guests and raising awareness of just how important it is to keep their natural habitats safe. Hope visitors like trail walks and nest building competitions!
Bird Keeper - 60 sp/h, 05:00 - 14:00, W,T,F,S,U
Description: Finally, a flock of your own! You’re in charge of the bird habitat at the park, taking part in the captive breeding program and making sure the conservation effort is going according to plan. You’ll be hands on developing research projects and coming up with new enrichment ideas for your charges – a pity the higher ups said no to a birdie disco ball in the main office.
Conservation Delivery Manager - 75 sp/h, 09:00 - 17:00, M-F
Description: Another flock, but this time the underlings are a team of people rather than baby birds. You’re responsible for a team of wardens across the local area, sending them nationwide to ensure they deliver conservation projects funded by City Hall. There’s a lot of business plans and project management, but someone needs to make sure resources are allocated properly (and birds can’t hold a pen).
Protected Sites Advisor - 90 sp/h, 09:00 - 17:00, M,T,F
Description: You’re deep in the science side of ornithology now; working with local farmers to make sure their food production methods are environmentally friendly, reducing the impact of climate change, and ensuring that important ecosystems thrive and flourish. You’ll also get the chance to pitch sites for new developments and green spaces – so if you want a Birdie Bistro & Bar serving Band Slams & Baked Angel Food Cake, now’s your chance!
Ecologist - 150 sp/h, 09:00 - 17:00, M,W F
Description: You’re out of the suburbs and into the woods – time to be a consultant! You’ll be travelling all over SimNation to various sites and places that have the potential to become the latest havens for your bird friends, writing up surveys and reports to convince the mayor of Barnacle Bay perhaps they can build their luxury flats somewhere else and not disturb the local condor population. Ecological assessment work might not sound the most interesting on paper, but it’s hugely important to make sure you’re protecting birds for generations to come – children and eggs alike.
With thanks: To MissyHissy's career building tutorial!

(half vent half ramble about intersex, medical neglect, and the racialization of gender and sex binaries)
I am going to lose my mind. There is Something Wrong with my reproductive system. I know this much. It doesn't act how every single piece of (modern, reputable) medical literature I can find says is "normal". At this point I think the reason I can't get any doctors to take me seriously is because I'm mixed race. I pass white easily, and I'll discuss my symptoms with a doctor, show the physical, visible proof of endocrine weirdness on my body, and they look concerned, willing to discuss, in agreement that there's something weird. Then they look over my medical history and profile before doing anything in depth. They see I am biracial. They suddenly insist that everything is normal and that I'm overreacting.
I have some friends that are studying medicine, including one that has particular interest in intersex and general queer medicine (and has her doctorate even). She agrees that there's something different by any metric. All of them are in agreement that I likely have something unusual with either my reproductive system, endocrine system, or both. They all agree I should get proper testing but can't authorize it due too the ethical issue of them being my friends.
So I go to new doctors regularly and the cycle repeats every time. The oddities are only getting more apparent. How long will it be before people can put down their perception of different races as different species? There are differences between us. But they are not as drastic as people make them out to be. How strange must my body become before a doctor can no longer blame it on my mixed heritage?
I'm so tired of being Schrodinger's intersex. We need to put down the idea that traits can only be intersex in specific races. The amount of poc that are struggling from this is almost certainly larger than we can imagine. The only reason I think this problem becomes so obvious with me is because of my white passing biracial-ness. I feel like the canary, making it particularly clear how much the racialization of gender and sex hurts all of us. I'm so tired
Sending so much solidarity and support 💜💜💜
The amount of racism from doctors is so incredibly fucked up, especially when it comes to the racialization of gender and sex and how that creates so many barriers for accessing care. We've talked a lot on this blog before about how some diagnostic standards for certain intersex variations are just explicitly racist--hirsutism scales and the way that they're talked about, for example. There are so many ways that white supremacy works together with intersexism/compulsory dyadism and a key part of intersex justice is fighting against all these connected systems of oppression.
on this blog we understand that there are so many barriers to getting testing and diagnosis in the current medical system, which is one of the reasons why we support informed self-diagnosis. if you're at all interested in participating in intersex community spaces, InterConnect has online and in person peer support groups, including a peer support group specifically for intersex people of color. Know that you are absolutely welcome here, even if you don't have a confirmed medical diagnosis.
I really hope that you're able to find the answers you need--you deserve better than you've been treated, and I can absolutely imagine how exhausting the discrimination through this whole process has been. Please feel welcome to send in any more asks, whether you need resources, have questions, or just need to vent.
best wishes, anon 💜💜💜

How to Wisely Choose a Digital Marketing Agency: A Step-by-Step Approach
In today's digitally driven world, the importance of a robust online presence cannot be overstated. Businesses of all sizes are increasingly turning to digital marketing agencies to enhance their online visibility, reach their target audience, and achieve their marketing goals. However, choosing the right digital marketing agency can be a daunting task. With so many options available, how do you ensure you select the best partner for your business? Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you make an informed decision.
Step 1: Define Your Goals and Budget
Before you start your search for a digital marketing agency, it's crucial to clearly define your marketing goals. Are you looking to increase website traffic, generate leads, improve your social media presence, or enhance your overall brand visibility? Understanding your objectives will help you identify an agency that specializes in the services you need.
Simultaneously, establish a budget for your digital marketing efforts. Knowing how much you can afford to spend will help you narrow down your options and prevent you from wasting time on agencies that are beyond your financial reach.
Step 2: Research and Shortlist Agencies
Once you have a clear understanding of your goals and budget, begin your research. Look for agencies that have a strong online presence themselves—after all, if they can’t market their own business effectively, how can you trust them with yours?
Consider the following factors when shortlisting agencies:
Expertise and Services: Ensure the agency offers the specific services you need, such as SEO, PPC, content marketing, social media management, email marketing, etc.
Industry Experience: Agencies with experience in your industry are more likely to understand your unique challenges and opportunities.
Reputation: Read reviews, testimonials, and case studies. An agency with positive feedback from clients is a good indicator of reliability and effectiveness.
Portfolio: Review their past work to gauge their creativity, quality, and success in executing campaigns similar to what you envision.
Step 3: Evaluate Their Website and Online Presence
An agency’s website is a reflection of their capabilities. Evaluate their website for user experience, design quality, content, and overall professionalism. A well-maintained blog and active social media profiles are signs that the agency practices what it preaches.
Step 4: Schedule Consultations
Narrow down your list to a few top contenders and schedule consultations with each. This step is crucial for assessing their compatibility with your business. During these consultations, consider the following:
Communication: Are they responsive, clear, and transparent in their communication?
Understanding of Your Needs: Do they take the time to understand your business, industry, and goals?
Strategy: Ask about their proposed strategies for achieving your objectives. A good agency should provide a tailored approach rather than a one-size-fits-all solution.
Team: Inquire about the team that will be handling your account. The agency should have skilled professionals with expertise in various aspects of digital marketing.
Step 5: Check References and Case Studies
Before making your final decision, ask the agency for references from past or current clients. Speaking directly with these clients can provide valuable insights into the agency’s reliability, effectiveness, and customer service.
Review detailed case studies to understand how the agency has helped other businesses achieve their goals. Pay attention to the metrics and results they highlight—this will give you an idea of their ability to deliver tangible outcomes.
Step 6: Understand Their Reporting and Transparency
Effective communication and transparency are key to a successful partnership. Ensure the agency provides regular updates and detailed reports on the performance of your campaigns. Understand how they measure success and what metrics they use to track progress.
Step 7: Consider Long-Term Partnership Potential
Digital marketing is not a one-time effort but an ongoing process. Consider the agency’s potential as a long-term partner. Assess their ability to scale and adapt as your business grows and your marketing needs evolve.
Choosing the right digital marketing agency requires careful consideration and due diligence. By defining your goals, researching thoroughly, evaluating their capabilities, and understanding their approach, you can find a partner that aligns with your business objectives and helps you navigate the complex digital landscape effectively. Remember, the right agency can be a powerful catalyst for your business’s online success.

Digital Marketing Strategy
Set Clear Goals and Objectives: The first step in creating a digital marketing strategy is to define clear goals and objectives. These goals should be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). Examples include increasing website traffic, generating leads, improving brand awareness, or driving online sales.
2. Understand Your Target Audience: To effectively reach and engage your target audience, it's important to understand their demographics, interests, behaviors, and pain points. Conduct market research, analyze customer data, and create buyer personas to gain insightful information about your target audience. This will help you tailor your digital marketing efforts to resonate with them.
3. Choose the Right Digital Channels: Identify the digital channels that are most relevant to your target audience and align with your marketing goals. Common digital channels include websites, search engines, social media platforms, email marketing, content marketing, mobile apps, and online advertising. Each channel has unique characteristics and advantages, so choose the ones that best suit your business and audience.
4. Develop Content Strategy: Content is at the heart of digital marketing. Create a content strategy that focuses on delivering value to your target audience. Plan and produce high-quality content that aligns with their interests, needs, and preferences. This can include blog articles, videos, infographics, eBooks, webinars, and social media posts. Consistency and relevance are key to establishing thought leadership and building trust with your audience.
5. Optimize for Search Engines: Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve your website's visibility in search engine results. Conduct keyword research to identify relevant search terms and optimize your website's on-page elements, such as meta tags, headings, and content. Create high-quality backlinks from reputable websites to boost your website's authority.
6. Leverage Social Media: Utilize social media platforms to connect with your audience, build brand awareness, and foster engagement. Identify the platforms where your target audience is most active and create compelling content tailored to each platform. Engage in conversations, respond to comments, and encourage user-generated content to cultivate a sense of community and brand loyalty.
7. Implement Email Marketing: Email marketing remains an effective way to nurture leads and engage with existing customers. Develop an email marketing strategy that includes personalized and segmented email campaigns. Provide valuable content, offers, and promotions to your subscribers, and automate email sequences to streamline your communication.
8. Monitor, Measure, and Adjust: Regularly monitor the performance of your digital marketing efforts using analytics tools. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as website traffic, conversion rates, engagement metrics, and ROI. Use the insights gained to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven adjustments to optimize your strategy.
9. Stay Updated and Evolve: The digital marketing landscape is constantly evolving. Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and industry best practices. Experiment with new channels and tactics to reach your audience. Continuously adapt your strategy based on market changes and feedback from your audience.
10. Evaluate and Refine: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of your digital marketing strategy against your goals. Identify successes, challenges, and areas of improvement. Refine your strategy based on the insights gained to ensure continuous growth and success.
11. In summary, a well-rounded digital marketing strategy involves setting clear goals, understanding your audience, choosing the right channels, creating valuable content, optimizing for search engines, leveraging social media and email marketing, monitoring and measuring performance, staying updated, and evaluating and refining your approach. By following these steps, businesses can effectively harness the power of digital marketing to achieve their objectives and drive sustainable growth.

Book Release: The Reliability of UFO Witness Testimony (With a Chapter by Cláudio Tsuyoshi Suenaga)
V.J. Ballester-Olmos & Richard W. Heiden (Eds.)
For 76 years, casual observers around the world have reported sightings of aerial phenomena unexplainable to them. More elaborate personal experiences have been reported by others whose testimony speak of close interactions with fantastic flying machines that land, from which strange beings descend, and even kidnap the onlookers. In the absence of compelling physical evidence of the reality of these narrations, how should science study immaterial observations and test these claims? The very standard of reputable witness reliability is at stake here.
The Reliability of UFO Witness Testimony is the first major book to comprehensively focus on the discussion and current views on problems and challenges posed by the reliability of UFO testimonies. This is a cross-disciplinary compendium of papers by 60 authors from 14 different countries. They are specialists in social, physical, and biological sciences, including psychology (predominantly) as well as psychiatry, sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, folklore, religion, journalism, engineering, computing, medicine, education, analysts with experience in the critical study of UFO perceivers, and other professionals. This volume shares thematically convergent ideas about the plausibility of alternate explanations for an alleged close-range UFO phenomenon.
The 57 chapters in this book are divided into seven section headings: Case Studies, Psychological Perspectives, On Witness Testimony, Empirical Research, Anthropological Approach, Metrics and Scaling, and Epistemological Issues. There, the subject matter is analyzed from statistical work to clinical assessment, psychometrics, comparative and evaluation inquiry, and other topic perspectives.
Some extracts from the Foreword, written by Dr. Leonard S. Newman, Professor of Psychology at Syracuse University:
"The contributors to this book include some very smart people. There are all sorts of issues to which they could be devoting their intellectual energy, and all sorts of scholarly and research contributions they could make. They don’t have to write thoughtful and rigorous chapters for a book called The Reliability of UFO Witness Testimony, but this is what they have done. And so, the work continues, as attested to by the papers in this volume. I’m not sure if there exists any collection of papers on any topic that can claim to comprehensively summarize everything that is currently known about it. But this one comes pretty close."
This 711-page book has been released online in the Academia.edu portal, from where it can be downloaded for free:
Simultaneously, UPIAR Publishing House (Turin, Italy) has published two softcover, A4 format print editions, one in black & white, another in full color (ISBN: 9791281441002). The book can be purchased through this link:
Four outstanding academics have provided praise notes to this volume. This is what they said:
Elizabeth Loftus, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Irvine, USA:
"When ordinary citizens claim to have extraterrestrial encounters, such as seeing UFOs or meeting with alien beings, what should we think? Did the alien abduction really happen or was it a hoax? Is someone deliberately lying? Are they false memories? Readers will be enthralled by the fascinating case histories that are presented in The Reliability of UFO Witness Testimony*, a volume where sixty experts examine these issues with depth and insight. These cases teach us a great deal about how humans come to believe they have experienced bizarre events that may have never occurred at all."
Steven Jay Lynn, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Binghamton University (SUNY), USA:
"This captivating book will appeal to anyone interested in UFOs (and who isn’t?), the vagaries of memory, eyewitness perception and misperception, critical analysis of puzzling phenomena, and evaluating scientific vs. pseudoscientific claims. This volume ranks in the elite category of essential reading for students, scientists, and the seriously curious among us, and therefore has my highest recommendation. Bravo!"
Henry Otgaar, Ph.D., Professor of Legal Psychology, Maastricht University, the Netherlands, and Leuven Catholic University, Belgium:
"Claims of UFO sightings and experiences continue to fascinate us. This book has collected a unique and diverse set of case studies and critical articles on how such experiences unfold and what the authenticity of these claims is. The collection of these different articles is truly groundbreaking and is the first-ever complete assemblage concerning the validity of UFO testimony."
Benjamin E. Zeller, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of Religion, Lake Forest College, Illinois, USA:
"In referring to extraterrestrial contact, Carl Sagan said that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. This fine book seeks to contextualize what such evidence entails. Its contributors analyze UFO sightings and cases both famous and obscure, recent and historical, and quite international in scope. They draw from an impressive range of methodological, academic, and scientific perspectives, and consider such topics as the nature of cognition, memory, types of belief and testimony, psychology, and the rationality of belief. Skeptics, believers, and scholars of ufology will all find this book fascinating!"

The Objectivity of Witnesses and the Subjectivity of Testemonies
Cláudio Tsuyoshi Suenaga
I had the honor of being one of the select few invited by the distinguished Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos, one of the organizers and editors of this impressive scientific-academic book, together with the equally distinguished Richard W. Heiden, to write a paper on the "reliability of the testimony of witnesses of UFOs", a crucial aspect of ufological research, since, in the absence of material evidence of the phenomenon, this is the primary source we deal with, the "raw material", so to speak, to permeate our analyses, even more so for those who not only deals with "second-hand" reports, but gathers them directly from the witnesses themselves, in sometimes harsh and hostile field conditions.
In my contribution entitled "The Objectivity of Witnesses and the Subjectivity of Testimonies", I carried out a critical analysis of the general reference base of the UFO problem, the testimony, seen as a cultural source authentic and indisputable, but which presents serious distortions. One of the main points questioned by me was the exact value of the testimonies, which form the basis of the reports and, therefore, of the UFO phenomenon. I tried to give an adequate scientific treatment to these data and factors relegated to the background by ufologists: the subjective observational parameters, the perceptive aspects, the language and the historical-cultural context of the witness and the psychosociological variables, that is, everything that was disparagingly called "background noise", the "sociological reject" despised in detriment of the "signal".

Consult and keep close at hand, therefore, this, the first major book to comprehensively focus on the discussion and current views on problems and challenges posed by the reliability of UFO testimonies. A cross-disciplinary compendium of papers by 60 authors from 14 different countries.

The primary goal of SEO is to increase organic (non-paid) traffic to a website by optimizing various elements, making it more relevant to search engine algorithms and user queries.
Key Components of SEO:
Keywords: Keyword Research: Identify and target relevant keywords that potential users are likely to search for. Understanding user intent is crucial for selecting the right keywords.
On-Page Optimization: Title Tags and Meta Descriptions: Craft compelling and relevant title tags and meta descriptions for each page to encourage clicks from search engine results pages (SERPs). Header Tags (H1, H2, etc.): Structure content using header tags to make it more readable for both users and search engines. Keyword Placement: Place keywords strategically within content, headers, and meta tags for better relevance.
Content Quality:High- Quality Content: Create informative, valuable, and engaging content that addresses user queries. Search engines prioritize content that provides value to users. Mastering Creative Branding: A Comprehensive Guide
Tumblr media
How to do Branding for a Company?
In the fast-paced world of digital marketing, branding plays a pivotal role in shaping a company’s identity and success. Whether you are a budding entrepreneur or a seasoned business owner, mastering creative branding techniques is essential to stand out in the competitive market. This guide delves into the intricacies of branding, offering valuable insights and tips to elevate your brand identity.
Understanding the Essence of Branding
Branding goes beyond just a logo or a tagline; it encompasses the core values, mission, and visual elements that define your business. A strong brand identity creates a lasting impression on customers and fosters loyalty. Effective branding is about telling a compelling story that resonates with your target audience and sets you apart from competitors.
Key Elements of Brand Identity
Logo: Your logo is the face of your brand and the first thing people notice. It should be unique, memorable, and reflective of your brand’s personality.
Color Palette: Colors evoke emotions and influence consumer behavior. Choose a color scheme that aligns with your brand values and appeals to your target demographic.
Typography: The fonts you use convey a message about your brand’s style and tone. Consistent typography across all marketing materials creates brand cohesiveness.
Brand Voice: Define your brand voice — formal, friendly, or humorous — and maintain consistency in all communication channels.
Crafting a Strong Brand Strategy
A well-defined brand strategy is a roadmap for your branding efforts, guiding every aspect of your marketing initiatives. Here’s how you can develop a robust brand strategy:
1. Define Your Brand Mission and Values
Clearly articulate your brand’s mission, vision, and values. Your brand story should convey why you exist, what you stand for, and what sets you apart from others in your industry.
2. Know Your Target Audience
Understanding your target audience is crucial for crafting a brand message that resonates with them. Conduct market research to identify their needs, preferences, and pain points.
3. Create a Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
Your Unique Selling Proposition should communicate your product’s or service’s unique benefits and why customers should choose you over competitors.
4. Be Consistent Across All Channels
Consistency is key to building brand recognition and credibility. Ensure that your brand elements, messaging, and tone remain consistent across all platforms.
Leveraging SEO for Branding Success
In today’s digital landscape, SEO plays a vital role in enhancing brand visibility and attracting organic traffic to your website. Here are some SEO branding tips to boost your brand’s online presence:
1. Optimize Your Website
Ensure your website is SEO-friendly by optimizing meta tags, headings, and image alt text. A well-structured and fast-loading website improves user experience and search engine rankings.
2. Create High-Quality Content
Producing relevant, engaging, and optimized content not only drives traffic but also builds authority and credibility for your brand. Regularly update your blog with valuable information related to your industry.
3. Build Quality Backlinks
Backlinks from reputable websites signal to search engines that your site is trustworthy and authoritative. Focus on building high-quality backlinks through guest posting, collaborations, and content partnerships.
4. Monitor and Analyze Performance
Use analytics tools to track your SEO performance and identify areas for improvement. Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and user engagement metrics to fine-tune your SEO strategy.
Conclusion
Mastering creative branding is an ongoing process that requires dedication, creativity, and a deep understanding of your target audience. By implementing the strategies outlined in this guide, you can elevate your brand identity, increase brand awareness, and drive business growth in the digital age.
Remember, successful branding is not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating a meaningful connection with your customers that goes beyond products and services. Embrace the power of branding to leave a lasting impact on your audience and establish a strong brand presence in the market.

So a bit of personal behind-the-scenes blogging here about YouTube sponsorships, doing creative writing for a job, workloads and stress and burnout.
I am never taking this many sponsorships ever again.
I don't know if there was something in the water in September or if a bunch of marketing budgets just needed to get burned, but at the end of August I started getting a lot more emails than usual from agencies that wanted to purchase sponsorship integrations. I'm sure there's some structural industry-side reason for this that I'm simply not privy to, but from my perspective it was just a flood of emails.
There were the usual ones, of course, the RAID: Shadow Legends sponsorship that I am getting very tired of turning down over and over again, a bit of crypto-nonsense and Play2Earn games which can go get f*d, and then a smattering of things that just kinda don't fit my channel or my audience, like a Chinese-run site doing online coding classes for people who want to emigrate and work in the PRC, or one of those semi-fraudulent "purchase a square foot of land in Scotland and become a Lord, technically!" which are, like, usually just a harmless novelty, but not really fit for my audience.
The way influencer marketing on YouTube works (at least at my level of micro-celebrity) is that companies will contract marketing agencies to run campaigns for them. The agencies bid against each other for contracts, promising to deliver maximum engagement at minimal cost. The company picks an agency and gives them a pile of money to spend on ad-buys. Agencies reach out to influencers en masse (usually through mailing lists and directories of channels above a certain size, listing their general content and likely audience profiles), and ask us how much we charge for a 30-60 second integration.
The marketing agency's objective is to make their budget deliver as many trackable metrics for their client as possible, usually in the form of signups, clicks, website traffic and so on. Some agencies will focus on advertising only with huge names that have massive reach, some will pick out a hundred smaller creators hoping to cast a wider net. Most agencies will do some mix of the two.
So, they email me like "how much for an integration?" and I... have to invent an answer. See, there isn't really a standard rate for any of this. How much is a view on my channel worth? How much return on investment does an ad on my channel generate? I'm just a person, I don't have a market research department, I don't have any education or training in evaluating the effectiveness of advertising. I make video essays about game characters and occasional anime.
The best resource for YouTubers on this subject is... each other. We basically just have to talk to one another, figure out what everyone is charging and try and derive a reasonable rate from that. There isn't a union or a guild, there are no associations or central resources (or even community resources) that set the standards or allow us some form of collective bargaining.
My problem is that most of the peers I talk to don't really do influencer marketing. They stick with ad revenue and Patreon/Twitch subscriptions, or just aren't on the radar of advertisers yet, so I'm flying this one kinda by the seat of my pants.
Ayway, returning to the subject. In September I get a lot more inquiries about sponsorship than usual, which puts me in the very unusual position of turning sponsors down not because their product is a bad fit, or a crypto scam, or RAID: Shadow Legends, but because I simply can't make enough videos fast enough to fill the "order."
I book Squarespace and Skillshare, which are reputable companies whose products I've used myself, which basically fills out my schedule, and then the offers keep coming. I should not have accepted as many as I did.
---
I should say, I've never been poor. I come from a middle class family in a Scandinavian social democracy, there are safety nets under me that most people don't get to have, and I don't ever have to really be afraid of ending up on the street or starving. What I have been is broke. I used to make my living as a commission artist and cartoonist, and spent essentially a decade constantly, constantly dancing right on the very edge of being able to make rent each month. I was chasing a dream of building up a customer base to fund my independent comics work, and... it broke me a little bit. I came down with a very dark depression that I couldn't really deal with, and spent weeks and weeks pulling all-nighters chasing commissions and doing work trying to scratch money together.
YouTube happened entirely by accident, and for all that I've complained about the troubles that come with this work, might have genuinely saved my life a little bit.
I bring this up to say, ever since the YouTube gig started reliably paying my bills, I have had at least a couple of realizations per year of just how anxious and freaked out I still get about money. I still check my online bank obsessively, I still fret over keeping savings and paying bills, I still feel guilt over spending money on non-essentials.
And when I get too many sponsorship offers, I still feel like I should accept all of them, and pull whatever all-nighters it takes to fulfil them, even though I'm not 24 any more and when I tried to do it as a 24 year old it caused a depression that nearly made me suicidal.
Because what if these are the last sponsorships I'll ever get? What if the next sixth months are really bad months and I don't make as much in ad revenue? What if my videos lose steam and the audience moves on? What if everyone gets tired of me? What if someone copyright strikes my channel twelve times out of nowhere and kills it forever?
I haven't been broke in years now. I'm not a wealthy man, but I haven't been broke. I don't have a pension fund, but my bills are paid, and looking rationally at the statistics and analytics I have access to, there is literally no reason to believe it'll all go "poof!" and be gone overnight.
And yet, I feel so guilty about not taking every sponsorship I can ethically take. I feel so guilty about not hoarding money, building savings, protecting myself, "being responsible." And I feel so afraid of that unnamed catastrophe lurking just around the corner, where I'll be punished for my hubris to think that I was ever safe, and thrown right back into that fearful scramble. Right back into that depression.
It's a sticky fear. You scrub and scrub and scrub, and the stain of it just won't come out.
---
I took too many sponsorships in the latter half of this year. This is a champagne problem, there are creatives I know who would kill to get sponsorships at all, and I'm not trying to fish for too much sympathy here. "Oh no, too many people wanted to give you money to read 60 second ads, boo hoo YouTube man, how sad for you" is, like, a valid response to this. I'm not exactly being ground down by the Amazon Fulfilment Center over here. It's not a cry for help, or a plea for support, it's just a blog.
But I took too many sponsorships. I clogged my schedule, and committed myself to a lot of work, and... every other part of my life suffered. I found it harder and harder to spend time with my family, because the next deadline was always on my mind. That knowledge that taking time to do anything else inevitably means a harder rush to finish the work, it means more stress and less space to think, less space to do good work.
Because that's the other anxiety, of course. Having taken these sponsorships, I now feel pretty intensely that I need to make videos that are good enough that my audience doesn't feel taken advantage of, that they feel that the content I put behind the ad was worth the time they took to sit through it. Sponsored videos need to be better, they need to have higher production quality, better scripts, better editing.
So how do you justify taking time to do anything else?
I spent less time with my family, I became less and less able to keep the apartment clean, less and less able to cook, less and less able to even spend time socializing and doing enrichment for my pet rats, which they need for their mental health. And I started to feel the familiar sensation of burnout eating me up from the chest outwards.
I had started taking piano lessons at the local community center, something I've wanted to do for myself for a decade. And I had to cancel those lessons over and over again, and usually last minute, because work just got in the way. Last week I told my teacher that I simply wouldn't be able to make it to them anymore, to cancel the whole thing. And that knocked the wind out of me more than I thought, honestly. That was something I had been so excited to finally do for myself, and it just got bled out in front of me by the workload I couldn't get myself to say no to.
I've dealt with burnout many times before. I know what it is, I know how to recover from it. But I have never learned to stop inflicting it on myself. I am a workaholic, I am addicted to the stress of this sh**, not because I find it pleasurable, but because for ten years the satisfaction of finishing a piece of work and securing the paycheck was the only sense of real relief and catharsis I ever got to feel from my anxiety, and I don't know how to stop chasing that high. When I'm stressed, when I'm anxious, when I'm feeling unsure or unmoored, the only response I know is to drown myself in work. Energy drinks and junk food and too little sleep. I don't have any other real coping mechanisms.
It'll take... a while to fix those things, I think. It's not happening right now. But I am promising myself this, at least: I am never taking this many sponsorships ever again.

That's where SEO Services come in, offering expert guidance to optimize your website and attract more organic traffic.

Long-Term Growth: SEO is an ongoing process, and an SEO service provider can offer continuous monitoring and adjustments for sustained success.
Common SEO Mistakes to Avoid in 2024:
1. Keyword Stuffing: Overusing keywords unnaturally within your content results in a poor user experience and penalties from search engines. Focus on creating informative content with a natural flow of keywords.
2. Neglecting Mobile Optimization: With a significant portion of searches now conducted on mobile devices, a website that's not mobile-friendly is a major turnoff for users and search engines alike.
3. Ignoring Core Web Vitals: These Google metrics address loading speed, responsiveness, and visual stability. Poor Core Web Vitals will make it difficult for a website to rank well.
4. Low-Quality Content: Search engines prioritize websites with informative and engaging content. Avoid thin content with little value to users.
5. Backlink Spam: Building backlinks from irrelevant or low-quality websites can hurt your SEO performance. Focus on obtaining backlinks from established and trustworthy sources.
Staying Ahead of the Curve:
The world of SEO is constantly evolving. Here are some of the latest updates to be aware of:
Entity SEO: This approach focuses on establishing your website as an authority for specific topics by building connections with related entities in your field.

Focus on User Intent: Understanding the intent behind search queries allows you to tailor your content to provide users with the information they truly need.
Evolving Core Web Vitals: Google regularly refines its Core Web Vitals metrics, so staying updated on these changes is essential.
Conclusion:

Best SEO and Digital Marketer
In the ever-evolving world of digital marketing, the roles of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and social media marketing have become pivotal for businesses striving to enhance their online presence. As more companies recognize the importance of these strategies, the demand for specialists in these fields continues to rise. But what exactly does an SEO and Social Media Marketing Specialist do, and why are their skills so crucial for your business's success?
The Role of an SEO Specialist
An SEO Specialist is responsible for optimizing a website to rank higher in search engine results, thus increasing the site’s visibility and attracting more organic traffic. This process involves various tasks, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, and content creation. The ultimate goal of an SEO Specialist is to ensure that when potential customers search for relevant terms, your website appears at the top of the search results.
Keyword research is a fundamental aspect of SEO. It involves identifying the terms and phrases that your target audience is likely to use when searching for your products or services. Once these keywords are identified, they are strategically incorporated into your website's content, meta descriptions, headers, and URLs. This not only helps search engines understand the relevance of your content but also ensures that your site appears in front of the right audience.
On-page optimization is another critical component. This involves optimizing various elements on your website, such as title tags, meta descriptions, and image alt text, to make them more appealing to search engines. Additionally, ensuring that your site is mobile-friendly, has fast load times, and provides a good user experience are all essential for ranking well in search engine results.
Link building is the process of acquiring high-quality backlinks from other reputable websites. These backlinks act as votes of confidence, signaling to search engines that your site is trustworthy and authoritative. An SEO Specialist will often reach out to other websites, create valuable content that others want to link to, and employ other strategies to build a robust backlink profile.
The Role of a Social Media Marketing Specialist
While SEO focuses on improving visibility on search engines, a Social Media Marketing Specialist aims to build and engage with an audience on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. This role involves creating and curating content, managing social media accounts, running paid advertising campaigns, and analyzing performance metrics to refine strategies.
One of the key responsibilities of a Social Media Marketing Specialist is content creation. This involves developing posts, images, videos, and stories that resonate with your audience. The content must be engaging, shareable, and aligned with your brand’s voice and message. By consistently posting high-quality content, you can attract followers, increase brand awareness, and drive traffic to your website.
Engagement is another crucial aspect of social media marketing. This involves interacting with your followers, responding to comments and messages, and fostering a sense of community around your brand. Social media platforms are unique in that they allow for direct communication between brands and their audience, making it easier to build relationships and gain customer loyalty.
Running paid advertising campaigns on social media is another important task. These campaigns allow you to target specific demographics, interests, and behaviors, ensuring that your ads are seen by the people most likely to be interested in your products or services. A Social Media Marketing Specialist will design, launch, and monitor these campaigns, making adjustments as needed to maximize ROI.
The Synergy Between SEO and Social Media Marketing
While SEO and social media marketing are distinct fields, they complement each other in powerful ways. For instance, social media can amplify your SEO efforts by driving traffic to your website and generating social signals that may indirectly influence search engine rankings. Conversely, a strong SEO strategy can help your social media profiles rank higher in search results, increasing their visibility.
An SEO and Social Media Marketing Specialist understands the interconnectedness of these two fields and can create a cohesive strategy that leverages the strengths of both. By integrating SEO and social media marketing, you can create a more comprehensive digital marketing strategy that drives traffic from multiple sources, improves your brand’s online presence, and ultimately leads to greater success.

The Future of SEO: Trends and Best Practices for 2024
As we head into 2024, SEO continues to evolve, driven by advancements in technology and changing user behaviors. Staying ahead of these trends is crucial for businesses looking to maintain a strong online presence.
1. Voice Search Optimization: With the rise of smart speakers and voice assistants, optimizing for voice search is becoming essential. This means focusing on natural language, question-based queries, and concise answers. Structured data and local SEO will also play a significant role in enhancing voice search visibility.
2. Core Web Vitals: Google’s emphasis on user experience has made Core Web Vitals a critical ranking factor. These metrics measure page load speed, interactivity, and visual stability. Ensuring your site performs well in these areas can improve user satisfaction and search rankings.
3. E-A-T and Expertise: Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness (E-A-T) remain crucial for SEO. Content that showcases industry expertise and builds trust with users is more likely to rank higher. Including author bios, citing reputable sources, and regularly updating content can enhance E-A-T.
4. Video Content: Video continues to gain traction, with more users engaging with video content on platforms like YouTube and social media. Incorporating videos into your content strategy and optimizing them for search can improve engagement and rankings.
5. Mobile-First Indexing: With mobile-first indexing now standard, ensuring your site is mobile-friendly is vital. Responsive design, fast loading times, and a seamless user experience on mobile devices are key factors.
Best Practices for 2024:
Focus on Quality Content: Prioritize creating valuable, well-researched, and user-centric content.
Optimize for Mobile: Ensure your website offers a smooth experience across all devices.
Leverage Structured Data: Implement schema markup to help search engines understand your content better.
Monitor and Adapt: Keep an eye on SEO trends and algorithm updates to adjust your strategy as needed.
By embracing these trends and best practices, businesses can stay ahead in the competitive world of SEO and continue to drive traffic and growth.
