　PARK MINJI was born in 1989 in seoul, south korea. she lived in japan from age of 12 to 15 due to her parents’ work. after returning to korea and enrolling in college, she decided to go back to japan. while studying at a japanese university, minji worked as an intern at avex, a japanese record company, in 2010. it was during this time that she got involved in the collaboration project between after school and japanese singer amuro namie, which was the first time she connected with pledis.

Oh this is not good at all. Hearing voices in unknown language n smelling foul things, I would advise you to stop meditating and do a house/your space cleanse. Because that is not normal. You could be traveling to the lower astral instead of the higher astral and that can be dangerous if you have no idea what you are doing/ or if you aren't energetically protected/have made no protection ritual before engaging. Cleanse you house, your space, your room and do a protection circle before meditation.

Let's say you're one of the writer's way back when Atla was first starting. Bryke has stepped back and let the writers do their thing. What are some things you would keep or remove completely? What are things you would have done differently? What would you have liked to explore more of with the story and the characters?

OOOH good question

I would definitely be giving South Asia, Hinduism, and Buddhism their honour back but making Desi main characters not caricatures. I will pay my respects to those religions by using them properly and not discarding them when you don't truly understand their meaning. And better representation will all the cultures.

Likewise, I would make a 4th (or maybe more) book, so we can see the healing of the 4 nations and flesh out the Gaang and other characters properly. I feel like ending it on book 3 was too sudden, and I hate the comic, so I don't even recognize those, since it is so OOC.

I would make Zuatara canon through some slow burn. I would not pair Aang up with anyone, since he is too young but keep him having a crush on Katara for the Chakra arc (which stays true and respect to Hinduism) but to provide a lesson on heartbreak and moving on. Same with Toph, such a cute little baby.

I will REMOVE those nonconsenual kisses entirely. Basically out with Kataang.

I want to see more of the evil politics of the Fire Nation before Aang defeats Ozai and how Zuko deals with it. In contrast, to how Zuko handles politics being Fire Lord.

I WANT more Suki and her backstory. I also want to see her and Ty Lee fight side by side. It would be so cool.

I would actually have Zuko and Katara speak to Azula after the Agni Kai.

I would keep Sokka's sexism arc.

Not only that, but I would love to explore Yue even more and her take on the NWT

What are something the kids do that get on Y/N and Naoya’s nerves?

Hello anon!!

Ngl I had no idea how to answer this ask initially because I just kept going back to the same situation over and over again of “well, I don’t think they’d like if they were being loud or disobedient” but that’s kind of expected from any young child and I think they might not really find it that irritating/upsetting, grown used to it by the 3 babies they have by now.

So, I did some research, eventually going with my mom to ask her about, you know, firsthand experiences, and she gave me one that I was completely convinced would be the #1 situation Naoya and you would absolutely hate when it happens.

warnings: none. just family dynamics :> Naoya being a surprisingly good father, he got all kinds of bad examples to not follow, after all.

The one thing that always gets on Naoya’s and Y/N’s nerves (or more like upset them) is … when their kids fight with one other.

And I don’t mean “playfully”, whining because they want what the other has or so, but rather making them cry, angry… and maybe even hit them.

This is undoubtedly the most painful thing Naoya and Y/N had experienced as parents.

The two always pictured having a loving family, strived to do everything in their power for it to happen, and even if there were some bumps along the way, it wasn’t anything they couldn’t handle—until reality reminds them that not everything was to be smooth sailing: with clashing personalities, and the unwanted occasional intervention of the Zen’in clan, it was only natural problems like this would arise.

And while both try to comfort each other by saying that sometimes siblings argue, have discussions, or do things to get in the other’s nerves… it isn’t until one of them strikes the other that they actively put a stop to this.

It breaks Naoya’s heart to see that this aspect of his personal life has unwillingly befallen them; and he has no doubts that this is learned behavior, replicated from some of his unruly relatives which he has threatened to keep away from his family…

He doesn’t how they do it, how they have this unspoken talent to stick their noses in what does not concern them, and no matter what he does, Naoya can’t make them stop, infuriating him every single time he remembers this fact!

Nonetheless, he doesn’t give up, and understanding the best he could do is refocus his efforts in what he can change.

Thus, you and Naoya teach the kids on how to deal with these emotions, explain that while its normal to feel frustrated and there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s not okay to take it out with others, specially towards close ones such as family, because it can be very hurtful.

At the end, this turned out to be a very informative and fruitful situation, just another step in their growth, having learned how to apologize, understand why certain things are not right to do, as well as assertively communicate their emotions (to the best of their ability, anyways.) or do activities to let out their pent-up frustrations before they get the best of them.

Aside from this progress, two more things develop from here.

First, amongst the activities they could do to deal with their emotions, Naoya begins to train them in jujutsu. I cannot describe how excited he is to spend time with them, teaching them all he knows of his technique (maybe I’m too greedy, but I like to imagine they took after Naoya’s technique in that matter 🤭) and encourage healthy competition and self-improvement.

Secondly, because these behaviors eventually quieted down, the kids having understood a new sense of what a family means, they all grew protective of one another (specially Naomi, who is the oldest of the 3—no one messes with her baby siblings!) an adorable sight that plants the seed of wanting a bigger family in your and Naoya’s mind, eventually welcoming a 4th member to the family ❤️

Alright, it's been a week since I started trying to catch up with Project Sekai, and I've read 7 stories already since I've read one every day. This pace is okay, but I wanna catch up by 4th anni since it seems like everything is gonna be wrapped up then, so I'm probably gonna bump it up to 2 stories per day.

Anyways I wanted to put down my thoughts, starting with Connected Through SEKAI's Cherry Blossoms and ending with Wishing to the Blue Sky for Your Happiness.

Connected Through SEKAI's Cherry Blossoms:

Imma be real, this event was a slog to get through just because of how repetitive and slow it was. That being said, I liked how it gave us more insight about the Sekais, but that's about it.

On the Stage of Dazzling Light:

I remember that Tsukasa himself seemed to take somewhat of a backseat to the Phoenix Wonderland plot in his first focus, so I'm glad his backstory was fleshed out more here. I'm surprised Toya had that little screen time because I thought he was more important to Tsukasa’s backstory, but that's just fandom influence, I guess.

Live with Memories:

I'll be honest, I didn't have the fondest opinion of Ichika before this event, but this event really solidified why I dislike her character. In my opinion, she just doesn't feel like as fleshed out of a character compared to the rest Leo/need. For example, every other member has something that makes them unique and shines through their focus events, but Ichika feels like she's just characterized enough to not be a blank slate. Yes, I know that she's going to be like that because she's the "MC," but it just serves as a detriment to her character. Maybe she gets better, or maybe I don't get it, but I just don't like her for now. Also, that Miku V4 ad was WAY too obvious. I know the whole game is an ad, but at least it's subtle.

Hasegawa seems like a nice character, so I'm excited to see how she develops. I like that this event went also went more in-depth about Haruka's backstory. Overall, this event feels like a good stepping point for the future.

The Climax! Kamiyama Cheer Squad!:

I don't really have much to say about this event, but I'm glad that we get to see a lot of good interactions between the Kamiyama students. Also, Rui's characterization here feels really nice.

THE POWER OF UNITY:

I like that VBS' story is putting more emphasis on the NPCs and their interactions with the main cast because it definitely makes everything seem a lot more full. The foreshadowing here is foul, though. "Take a look at this town" is absolutely evil knowing what happens in rotation 4. Anyways, the event felt like a nice way to way to end their first arc.

Wishing to the Blue Sky for Your Happiness!:

It's nice to see An struggle outside of her relationship with Kohane, and it really shows just how much Vivid Street and the people around her mean to her. Also:

I've honestly been having a good time with this. Yes, it takes a while to get through (I'm dreading getting to the 2+ hour ones), and I didn't like Ichika's focus, but I'm love seeing why I fell in love with this game again. Anyways, I'll probably do this again next week, until then. Also, HOLY HELL THERE’S A MOVIE.

(warning, LOONGG late night rambling post)

ok, so you know about Yume Nikki Online? that really good online multiplayer hub hosting both the original game and a collection of fangames? i feel like that idea could apply really well to OFF and its fangames too! and i got the perfect name for it, OFFline.

i imagine it can go with a similar premise of YNO but just allow people to talk and gather around in OFF-related games. but i see a lot of potential for OFFline to include some kind of PvP-dedicated fangame, which I'll call Engage. which, with how many ideas i have for it, might be best to not make in EasyRPG.

the basic idea i have in mind is that there's a central hub where people can just chat and hang out which has three divisions:

Versus

Team Battle

Arcade, subdivided into Campaign and Endless.

what all of these modes have in common is a shopkeeper. it'll probably be better to make them an original character, but basically, for Versus and Team Battle, at the beginning of a match, you're given a set amount of credits to purchase from a list of items, weapons, and armor. for consistency's sake, i think its best that certain items are locked for certain characters only (say, no one else can use weapons and armor for Home characters), but healing and damage items are fair play for all.

whoever hosts a room will be able to dictate which select fangame they'd wish to fight in (as in, which cast of characters both users must use), OR decide that anything goes and both users are free to make the party of their dreams (its also here that they'd be free to select which battle theme plays).

Versus mode is between two players, who have full control of their own parties. while Team Battle is a 4v4, where each player will have control over their selected party member.

as for Arcade, its basically just singleplayer fun; the intent is that with the large amount of enemies and bosses from the multitude of fangames present, it will bring something different each time via randomizer. Campaign i would describe as being similar to Smash 3DS's Classic Mode, where you're given 3 branching paths with varying difficulties. the more difficult ones you beat, the more credits you earn, where you can make a pitstop before each boss to stack up (with zodiac orbs being pricier). referring to the sketch above, yellow cubes are enemy encounters, red cubes are bosses, and purple is for the end-game boss (the final boss from the og game/fangame, if applicable). i figured that every 3rd or 4th encounter being a boss will help prevent the gameplay from being monotonous beatdowns of regular enemies. you'll get choices for enemies and bosses, but there's only one endgame boss and that's random each time.

and lastly, Endless mode is just that. this time, you're given a larger supply of credits to use and once you enter the first round, there's no going back. each round will supply a minute amount of health or energy items to use, but will progressively get more difficult. my hope here is that it isn't just more enemies each round, but for it to sometimes bring fewer but beefier enemies, and maybe even a miniboss. you progress through each round by clicking on the individual cube labeled with the appropriate number. i figured like this it'd be more reasonable to fit within RPG2k3's limits but at this point it would be bloated so oh well. and of course, once you die, it ends. a public leaderboard will be on display to show the top 10 players and their scores.

now to get the obvious out of the way, online functionality with this many features would be difficult, if not impossible, to implement. as such, i would not be opposed to taking an approach similar to the UT fangame Don't Forget, where OFFline will be developed on an engine like Gamemaker and attempt to re-create RPG2k3's vibe and the individual games being hosted, along with Engage. the problem with the latter is that i think its more realistic to just let EasyRPG do all the work in porting the fangames like YNO, rather than recreate each one in a more modern engine. but at the same time, that would be the only feasible way of having any of these planned features to work without any fuckups. of course, i suppose a workaround to having multiplayer work in RPG2k3 would be to have a Parsec session or something similar, but that'd only be a solution for Versus mode at best. it would definitely not work for Team mode and might conflict with general offline.

in fact, the idea of OFFline might take some mad wizardry to even make it work, and i wouldn't be surprised if it barely works. making it in EasyRPG and using 2k3 as the basis vs. making it in a modern engine is the double-edged sword of this whole hypothetical. i'd love for something like this to happen, but i imagine it would be too much work to not only develop, but to keep the servers online for an otherwise niche fanbase. still, i cant shake away how much potential and fun this could be.

I think we're approaching this... "Chapter" of the Showgrounds Saga from the wrong direction

Theory Time!!

(It's a bit of a long one, so take your time)

Ok, so we've all been thinking - most of us at least - that this would be SMG3's Focus Arc and his turn to get character development and/or Trauma via a big movie event, but it's not what we expected. When I asked myself why, I came to some questions and theories

So, we've seen the pattern so far, SMG4's Perfection, Meggy's Idolization, and then WotFI happened, which I think was SMG3's Chapter.

I think what happened was that WotFI was his main event. Instead of building up to the tension, they swapped it and had the big event first with the development after, henceforth all of the focus episodes after WotFI regarding his shop, his selfworth and his place with the Crew.

So, "If SMG3 already had his fair share of Puzzle/Adware interference, then who's the focus for this chapter?" You may be asking, and I have the theory:

It's actually Us the Audience

Think about it! There's always some kind of connection between each Movie/Chapter moving towards the next one! In IGBP, while rescuing SMG4, how did Meggy fight off SMG3? Her splatfest skills (Former Splatfest Champion Wren)!! In Western Spaghetti, what did SMG3 have that added to his character from that point onwards? His bombs (Coffe n' Bombs Cafe)!!

So now, what's one connection with WotFI and this one? We the *Audience* are allowed to add our input based on the situation! (The Heist Plan Votes and the Video Reviews!!)

Not only that, BUT when WotFI finished and we got that post credit scene, Mr. Puzzles didn't address just anyone. No, he wasn't talking to SMG4, he wasn't talking to Luke, Marty, or SMG3; he was talking DIRECTLY to us the *Audience* at the 4th wall!

Adware KNOWS that we're finally picking up the hints and pieces!! He finally acknowledged that we're ready for our turn!!

When the first movie came out and he appeared as that keyboard malware virus (when we dubbed him Adware), we didn't think much of it. We thought it was a one-off, a fluke, something to further the story via typical SMG4 Weirdness.

It wasn't until the Western Spaghetti movie hype was building up that everyone realized that there's a pattern happening. That was when fans started pointing out, "Hey! There's something Fishy going on (Ha), and here's the hidden clues to prove it!!". We became suspicious of that damn symbol, and became more vigilant... and then WotFI happened!!

(Addition: I feel like Adware was beginning to test how ready we were when we got that one Steam Link with Tari in an empty room and the TV at the front of the train. Yeah, it was to hype up the movie, but it was also almost like a... puzzle, you could say)

Which could explain why this time it isn't a movie event that lasts for one week, but instead nearly over an entire month! I theorize that Winston wants to test us for some reason, and for that, he needs to collect information. Information like maybe a certain interactive website with reviews. You can't get the audience involved with just a single movie, just saying. Plus, the fact that he said endless entertainment all Saturdays forever? Who's the most involved in that specific detail, hmm?

Also! The theme! Granted, I don't have much proof for this one, but the theme I've noticed is Nostalgia. Blue's Clues isn't something very important to any of the characters that got kidnapped (minus 4 hating content farms) but it can be something that a lot of us have a fond attachment to! Which Adware could use to his Advantage! What better way to get good reviews than to target what the audiences like?

(4th wall sidenote, after that TV song jingle, Winston glances over to the screen directly at Us)

Also, notice how weird it is that the Crew Members that got kidnapped are popular among the fandom? You know, characters that we've gotten attached to? (Don't tell me Bob doesn't have a fanbase of his own). Every time a "Victim" is targeted, their close friends end up getting dragged into the mess.

How To Be: Cassandra and Rapunzel from Tangled (In 4e D&D)

In How To Be we’re going to look at a variety of characters from Not D&D and conceptualise how you might go about making a version of that character in the form of D&D that matters on this blog, D&D 4th Edition. Our guidelines are as follows:

This is going to be a brief rundown of ways to make a character that ‘feels’ like the source character

This isn’t meant to be comprehensive or authoritative but as a creative exercise

While not every character can work immediately out of the box, the aim is to make sure they have a character ‘feel’ as soon as possible

The character has to have the ‘feeling’ of the character by at least midway through Heroic

When building characters in 4th Edition it’s worth remembering that there are a lot of different ways to do the same basic thing. This isn’t going to be comprehensive, or even particularly fleshed out, and instead give you some places to start when you want to make something.

Another thing to remember is that 4e characters tend to be more about collected interactions of groups of things – it’s not that you get a build with specific rules about what you have to take, and when, and why, like you’re lockpicking your way through a design in the hopes of getting an overlap eventually. Character building is about packages, not programs, and we’ll talk about some packages and reference them going forwards.

You know the story of Rapunzel? The kid’s story about a girl with long hair in a tower which you can tell as a bedtime story and it takes maybe ten minutes, fifteen if you’re doing a lot with the voices and details and want to make the witch’s end really grisly? Well, yeah, turns out that got a movie back in the day and then that movie got a TV series and that TV series kicks ass, and so for this Smooch Month, I decided to try and make an article about base-level optimising choices for a pair of characters, a battle couple. In this case, one of those Battle Couple members is Rapunzel, the hero of the story Rapunzel, and the other is, uh

Her name’s Cass.

And hey, I’m going to talk about some spoilers for a kid’s cartoon you probably didn’t watch but I do like it and I think if you care about spoilers, well you should watch it without me being the way you find out about the third story arc of the TV series and what it means okay byeee.

Alright, what do you know about Rapunzel and Cassandra? They’re Disney Princess style characters so it’s not like you see a lot of comic book measurement stuff going on in their stories. They’re adventure stories, and the characters are as tough and strong and smart and witty as they need to be to get you to an ad break, or, because this was late 2018, probably to the next streaming check-in. Though maybe they have ads on Disney+ now, it wouldn’t surprise me.

The characters are pretty basic, though so it means it’s not that hard to give a rudimentary breakdown of how they present in the story and then how that informs choices about how to build them in the rest of the game.

Rapunzel,

Is a charismatic leader with a huge variety of skills. In the story of Tangled she’s shown developing a huge variety of skills, including engineering, crafting, knot-tying and juggling, which implies mathematical skill.

Extremely sociable and prosocial and operates in a good faith with almost everyone.

Access in some form or another to influential music; she can sing songs that change people’s minds or maybe make a compelling case.

Cass, on the other hand:

Routinely is shown handling weapons and wearing armour

Is represented as being physically fit and uses her physical strength to achieve things

Doesn’t, at first demonstrate any magical powers or prowess

For this exercise, the challenge is not in trying to find a way to represent everything the characters can do but instead to present an example of how two players can construct their characters so they fundamentally work together, while sticking to the framework presented above. It’s also going to try and build a pair of characters that work together expressing the different versions of these characters that you can perceive throughout the story, in a way that fills two complementary roles in a party.

Basically, how do you make team synergy that also leaves other people ways to connect, and can it be done such it looks like the different possible iterations of Cassandra and Rapunzel?

Before the Beginning

First principles, established introduction for Cass and Rapunzel. You have Rapunzel, as she was at the end of the movie Tangled, and her handmaiden Cass. These are characters who are very new to one another and new to their relationship to the world. Rapunzel has not been a princess before, and Cass has been a handmaiden in waiting looking for a princess to take up the mantle.

Cassandra in this time is also sneaking out to fight. She wants to be a warrior, she has aims to be a knight, but her predominant job is to be a handmaiden doing needlecraft and proper courtly management. At this point I would suggest you can represent Cass best with a Rogue, and Rapunzel, without magical powers as a Warlord.

The build I’d pick for Rapunzel is a lazy Warlord – the build that doesn’t actually have to make attacks of its own, and only grants them to other people. The best advantage of this build for Rapunzel is that it avoids her needing a high strength score, and instead focuses on things like her Wisdom and Charisma. While Rapunzel does not commonly wear heavy armour, this kind of build can give up on armour in exchange for better and more free movement.

As a rogue, Cass can emphasise a good basic attack, which is exactly the kind of thing a Warlord wants to have on hand. The Thief build from Heroes of the Fallen Lands starts with a good basic attack, and can do things that emphasise and improve it.

During The Day

The next major iteration of the pair, Cassandra is now openly able to act outside of the Handmaiden duties she has in the castle. She gets involved in fights, but her fighting is in defense and protection of Rapunzel. Rapunzel, on the other hand, now has access to her hair again, which changes a lot about how she acts – now she’s a character with a lot of reach and the means to control people at distance.

For this pairing, which represents the bulk of the narrative of the series, I’d represent Cass with a Fighter of some variety, and Rapunzel now as a Bard.

Rapunzel as a Bard can take the Superior Weapon Proficiency (Whip) and have that represent her hair. Melee bards don’t have to care that much about the power of their melee attacks, but they can do things that trigger off those attacks. An example would be the Skald bard, where you set up an aura around you and trigger buff effects off your basic attacks.

The Fighter gets to wear armour of varying degrees, but can mix up a melee weapon and a bare hand, if you want Cass to feel like a fencer, or you can represent a shield with a reinforced arm guard, and play a much more standard fighter build. The bard can grant attacks, or temporary hit points depending on build choices, and the fighter can capitalise on that.

The Lonely Twilight

In the final season, Cass and Rapunzel are apart, broken up by the revelation that Cass is the real child of Mother Gothel and has had to deal with Rapunzel literally being chosen over her by even her own mother. But in this time, Cass embraces magical power, and gets lithomancy magic, a kind of stone based magic. What it looks like is attacking with spikes and having big chunky stone armour. She still draws a great big sword, and she still fights with that.

At this point, the Cass looks a lot more like something like a Paladin. Her powers are driven by her personality and she’s less mobile. If you take this aesthetic, this look, you’re going to see her raging out and swinging a big sword. There’s a lot more magicality to her area control, and if you want the Warden could do the same thing, similar vibes. The heavy armour pulls me towards Paladin here.

Rapunzel is at this point full blown wizarding with glowing eyes and magical incantations and the hair as a whip is less important. For this end, and because a thing like granting basics is less important, I’d instead look to a Cleric as your compatriot pair. Two different sources of divine powers are pretty cool but also they can have overlap on energy damage types. A cleric who goes for blasting lasers and charisma based powers can benefit from the Radiant Mafia build, and that means these two bring the core of what that needs to any given play group.

Junk Drawer Options

It’s pretty cool how many of the leader types can be stuck onto the different versions of Rapunzel. Bards, Clerics, Warlords, they’re all covered, but don’t neglect the value of the Shaman or Artificer, which both can carry a lot of the feelings of the setting even if Rapunzel herself doesn’t do much with it. Cass is very limited but if you don’t want to play the defender type in the group, she can play a dual-wielding Ranger or Scout, too.

At this point the outline of this document is a thousand words. Presenting specific examples of things that can make builds work together in synergy is pretty challenging. There are things like Agile Opportunist and specific ways to maximise basic attacks. With a really off the wall option you can have Cass doing the leader duty of a Bard while Rapunzel takes up the job of a Wizard or even –

yes, I’m going to mention it

A druid.

Okay, okay, I’ll stop.

Chapter 20 - You Seduced Your Dad's Girlfriend?

Fandom: Red Hood

Pairing: Jason Todd x female!Reader

Warnings: some violence

Summary: Jason is helped by Selena to get proof from a Court meeting

Jason did as he was told, he dressed up nice, put on his little owl mask and went to the Court meeting, sitting, and listening to what was next. It wasn’t anything that immediately sent up red flags, unless you knew what was in the compound they were talking about. Since S.T.A.R. Labs had been compromised they had moved their research and development to a less secure but still useable CADMUS labs in Two-Face’s territory. He charged insane fees, but they were able to pay them due to everyone in the room being ridiculously rich. It made Jason sick.

“And our final matter. The date of our Great Feast where we will give the Talons everything they want for their noble efforts in helping us to claim the city,” the leader said. Jason’s ears perked up at this and he turned on the secret communication device Tim had cooked up. It should be able to process and send comms even when a scrambler was around, but it only went one way. He wouldn’t know if it had worked until after everything was said and done. “July 4th, a time of great celebration already in our country will become the biggest celebration in the city of Gotham for all those good citizens that we protect. Those worthy will feast and those unworthy will be feasted upon.” Jason paled. He really hoped that they weren’t feeding the innocents in the criminal control area to the Talons. The crowd gathered clapped, Jason joining reluctantly, feeling the eyes of several Court members on him. The meeting was adjourned.

Jason tried to leave as quickly as he could, he needed to find a spot to hide and lie low until the others left, find evidence that maybe he could show to Gordon, make the man reconsider his allegiance to the Court and get the cops to help stop this insanity. Jason wasn’t sure he and his family could do it on their own and as he learned right after Bruce died, no one was coming to help them. He was about to duck into a side room when someone pulled him to other way, into a different side room.

“Not that door, security is there,” Selena whispered to him as they stood in the darkened closet. Jason shifted himself to be closer to the door, listening for the halls to clear out. “The Court wants me to kill your girlfriend to prove my loyalty.” Jason turned to her, and she motioned around the room. They were listening. He cleared his throat. “I’m going to do it; you have to know that I always watch out for number one.” He nodded slowly.

“Then you know I’ll do what is necessary,” he answered. “What anyone would do in this situation.” She nodded and he couldn’t see behind her mask, but he thought she might be smiling. They may not understand each other as much as she and Batman had, but it was enough to know they were working together for the same goal. The Court could think that she was doing this as a courtesy, maybe to warn him to get YN out of the city. Or maybe they could see through this act, either way, Selena was making it known that YN was in more danger than before, and Jason was glad to be aware of it. Once they couldn’t hear anymore footsteps, they exited the room. Two security guards were waiting.

Selena giggled a little and draped an arm around Jason. She pulled him along, waving to the security guards, who watched as the two passed, hopefully thinking this was some kind of fling before going home to the family. The guards didn’t grab them as they passed and that was a mistake. Selena kicked back as hard as she could with her heeled foot, hitting one guard right in the groin and dropping him almost instantly. Jason removed some brass knuckles from his pocket, putting them on and punching the other guard in the face, breaking his nose. He granted, and grabbed his face so Jason took the opening, throwing straight shots at the man’s stomach until he doubled over and Jason could elbow him in the back of the neck, rendering him paralyzed for a few minutes, enough time to shove him in the closet that he and Selena had come out of. Selena had her foe incapacitated and put him in the closet also, then set up a locking mechanism with some supplies in her purse.

“I assume there are more coming so let’s be quick,” Selena said as they entered the main room of the meeting place. Jason started searching drawers and cabinets, looking for hard drives, paper files, anything to show some proof of what these assholes were up to. Selena was looking for safes and valuables. They both found pay dirt behind a bookcase in a secret safe. Jason was able to use some explosive gel he smuggled in to open it and inside was cash, a bag of diamonds, a list of people to pay off, and a few samples of the compound from S.T.A.R. Labs and maps of the city with notes on them. Jason took these while Selena pocketed the diamonds. They closed up shop and just as the door to the room was forced open, they were out the window, dodging bullets as they headed towards Jason’s loft.

The rest of the family was already gathered when Selena and Jason came in. The listening devices must have worked because a plan was already being made, along with several contingency plans in case the cops didn’t help them. Jason hoped Gordon would care, but honestly, he didn’t know why he should. The man was overworked, undervalued, and so very tired. Jason didn’t know how he was holding it together at this point.

“We need to go,” Selena said, discarding the mask. The others were surprised to see her. “Don’t just stare, the court knows all of us and where we live, we need to move before they send a bunch of Talons to kill us all. We can discuss everything once we are safe.” With that, the exodus from Jason’s penthouse began. Everything that was of value to the team, mostly weapons and armor, was packed up and everyone left their own way to get anything else they needed from their own places. They didn’t say where they would meet later, it was just assumed everyone would know. YN was the only one not sure, but she had a suspicion.

She was right. Half an hour later and everyone was pulling into the busted open front gate of Wayne manor. It was still in pieces, looking much like a haunted house. And maybe it was haunted, at least for the men and young woman standing in front of it now. YN took Jason’s hand, noticing how distressed he looked. Alfred finally stood a little straighter and cleared his throat.

“Come, it looks like at least the parlor is still well covered, we can camp in there tonight, finish planning” he said, leading the group inside. “Now, where is Miss Selena?”

“O, she’s pretending I took her hostage,” Jason said. “We still someone on the inside in case they change their plans. Selena is that person, I am probably enemy number one right now.” In emphasis, he took one of his guns from the duffle he had brought and strapped it to his leg. “So, we decided that she would say I seduced her and took her hostage, made her help me.”

“You seduced your dad’s girlfriend?” YN said, making a face. The rest of them chuckled, it clearly wasn’t a new tactic.

“When Bruce was around seduction was one of his greatest tools in getting information,” Dick said. “And I mean, I know I’ve used it a few times, Jason?”

“O I’m not answering that, YN has a nasty right hook that I don’t want anything to do with right now,” Jason said, glaring at his brother for trying to make trouble. YN laughed and sat on the ash covered floor. The rest of the group was getting everything set on the old coffee table to start planning again, taking seats around it. Jason pulled up next to YN and joined in. The first step was talking to Jim Gordon.

How else could we describe a community so passionate, and compassionate, that you not only created your own holiday to celebrate all things Dragon Age™, but you did it for charity? For some, today is merely December 4th—but for us, it’s Dragon Age Day (aka DA Day), and we’d like to be the first to officially welcome you to this year’s celebration!

We have a lot to celebrate this year, with Dragon Age: Dreadwolf deep in development and Dragon Age: Absolution just around the corner. And of course we’ll be celebrating the whole franchise alongside you, including a new short story, a small collaboration with The Sims 4™, and discounts on the games across all platforms. But let’s kick things off with your contributions.

It’s a gorgeous piece, and we couldn’t be more honored to have such a talented and passionate community. Since 2018, the Unofficial DA Day team has raised money for a charity of choice, starting with $6,795 for the Child’s Play charity in that first year. By 2020, they had essentially doubled that, raising $13,560 for the Legal Defense Fund, and in 2021, they doubled it again, notching $27,224.69 for the AbleGamers charity.

This year, they’re partnering with the Trans Empowerment Project, a non-profit organization with a focus on supporting the most marginalized people in the queer community, such as disabled and trans people of color. TEP addresses immediate needs of the community through efforts like transportation assistance, legal assistance, and deliveries of food and clothing—among many other support services—and also collaborates on broader outreach programs to help combat systemic oppression and inequality. 

To support this vital work, they collect donations through Tiltify, which allows them to offer all kinds of rewards to supporters. It’s quite an impactful production, with all donations going straight to the charity. As in previous years, BioWare is glad to help support this work with contributions of our own. This DA Day is particularly exciting because it comes just five days before the launch of an entirely new Dragon Age project: Netflix’s Dragon Age: Absolution. Come December 9, you’ll be able to dive into a whole new Dragon Age animated story, a six-part series created in close collaboration between BioWare and Netflix.

Before you ask, we’re sworn to secrecy on any new details—but we can say that you should keep an eye out for interviews about the project, both from our developers and from the team at Netflix as the series rolls out over the coming weeks.

Friends, we wanted to thank you for your years of amazing support of the past and future of Dragon Age. We’ve had a particularly fun and fascinating year working on Dreadwolf, reaching the Production phase in February, announcing the Dreadwolf name in June, and hitting Alpha in October—along with showcasing some of our amazing team members throughout the year.

Tell me about your Enstars OCs even tho I don't go there

OKAYYYY I'll go unit by unit yayy (ft notion screenshots for names and chunking things off)

So these three are the soon-to-be-rennamed SSugar♡SSweet. It's being renamed cuz that heart fucking sucks to type in the name. But all of them have a candy they're themed on.

Toshiaki is Bubblegum; Ryou is Licorice; Kouki is Jellybeans. There used to be a 4th member, Yosuke, who was Taffy, but until I can figure out anything for him he's being shelved and might not even come back to the unit.

Their producer is Yua!! She wanted hot idol boys and instead got 3 idiots she's trying hard to project Hot Idol Boy onto but it isn't working. She canonically designed their uniforms!

This is CELESTI☆, also gonna be renamed (Maybe to CELESTI* ?). They're based on in-canon lore of Chess/Knights. Chess broke into groups named after Chess pieces and they became "BLACK QUEEN" with 2 other people. They later rebranded but lost 2 people in the process, one quitting idol work and the other leaving to support a struggling friend.

Masaharu's a people pleaser and the leader. Hiroto was HEAVILY against rebranding, but Yasu was in favor of it because the members were getting hurt by the pressure the unit was under. One day Hiroto and Masaharu got into an argument, mostly caused by the stress, and Masaharu nearly fell down a flight of stairs and that was the click of "OH we are NOT doing good" and they finally rebranded.

This is their BLACK QUEEN uniform, inspired by something from Aikatsu cuz a friend showed me something I liked

This one is f1refli3s!! Kyo used to be in BLACK QUEEN, but joined Tomomi after his whole unit left him when they realized the group wouldn't be successful enough. The unit's largely based on the idea of "What if we have really cool lights" because. I'm a lights tech in theater and I say so.

I don't have much about them TBH but this is meant to be the tech that f1refli3s works with. Tomomi can't be in the booth while performing on stage, and isn't a technician himself, so he needs someone there who helped discuss the actual lights.

This group is the least developed, since they're made to be somewhere for Hakuren to go and also just cuz phantom thief theme cool. Hakuren used to be a member of RYUSEITAI and was one of the slacker/delinquent members who were causing the unit to look bad. Although he joined with good intentions, he just got swept along with everyone else.

Hakuren happened to catch Masaharu when he fell actually and now Masaharu's his number one fan and is a little in love with him. Hakuren doesn't remember though since he just kinda caught him and moved on instead of being in danger and saved like Masaharu saw it as.

Hanzo's the last member of BLACK QUEEN, and quit the idol industry altogether when they had to rebrand because the state of everything was way more than he was willing to put up with. He might come back as either a solo unit or a producer, but I'm not sure yet.

Out of all of the main, secondary and background character's thoughts and feelings on PFO there is one you haven't mentioned yet.

The most logical of the main cast.

The one, the only Hermione Granger.

Oh man Hermione at first tried to reason with Harry, because honestly his idea was so silly it couldn't possibly be true but then Snape's reactions made her pause. Now it could have been he was just thrown off by her best friend's question but the reaction was bigger than she expected. She didn't want to just believe in something, something an adult, her Professor, so adamantly denied but so many things followed after that somehow proved the opposite.

For a long time she didn't do much other than observe and make notes on everything she witnessed because she needed more evidence. She does become convinced that Snape and James Potter were bitter ex's and is so baffled that he would lie that it kind of shakes her perspective of adults and authority figures. She doesn't take what they say at face value and does more research. Honestly this whole thing was actually a blessing for her development. She didn't just have a blind faith in adults and authority figures anymore and that was slowly bleeding its way into her view of books as well.

Because if adults lied for no reason, and as she began to find out for nefarious reasons, then maybe books could be biased too???? This becomes more of a stable idea and thing she believes after 4th year and the whole Rita Skeeter nonsense.

She is a secret fan of all the drama but is the not so secret co-writer of The Potter Family Opera Bulletin. She works with the Patil Twins and once Luna gets involved in everything she joins the writers circle. They end up actually making a student staff for this and to the surprise of the students but not everyone else, they start getting subscriptions outside the castle and even start making money from it.

They all agree that the issue will be free for students and teachers. Hermione, Theo Nott and Padma were the ones to somehow charm the papers from being copied or sent out of the castle once they were in the hands of students or staff as they thought it would be unfair and bad business if the complimentary papers they gave to their fellow students were sent to family members without said family members having to pay for a subscription.

Surprisingly it was Padma who brought up the issue and Theo who pushed for them to do aomething so they didn't lose money as they (the students) used the money to make Hogwarts more homey. Money got donated towards making clubs, buying better brooms, guest speakers, more books for the library! (All things Albus said they didn't have the budget for.)

Because they do such a great job of relaying any PFO news out to people they end up making a Hogwarts Herald. A school paper by the students for the students. It included studying tips, a charm of the day, advertisements for clubs, latest gossip, just any news they think is important or entertaining!

Hermione thrives!

At this point she does believe the original rumor and a good chunk of info that follows but overall even if it wasn't true she would never say anything because this has done the school a world of good and she made a ton of friends!

Plus she finds it amusing when she hears the latest gossip of how many people have crushes on Harry and makes sure to tell him about them before an issue of the HH hits the stands.

And look...at first she thought Cedric and Harry could be cute. Ron was adamant about it....but then she found out Theo maybe had an interest in Harry and maybe she gives him encouragement and advice ut she does so in a way to not make it obvious. She just drops hints on what Harry's favorite treats were, maybe drop he was looking at something in the shops in Hogsmead. And let's just say she's not surprised when Harry gets a secret admirer who sends him all those things.

Something I wanted to do in the New Year is be more aware of how I'm spending my time at work, so I think I'm gonna try to do little summaries here of what each day entails. Hopefully also kind of interesting/useful if anyone's interested in academia?

For reference: we're on the quarter system, classes started on the 3rd, and I currently teach one class per quarter (heavy research-focused department, so very light teaching load). I also currently supervise 1 PhD student, 2 Master's students and 2 undergraduate research interns.

Monday!

Checked email on the bus to work, which mainly consisted of me seeing a colleague had received an endowed professorship, me writing her an effusive congratulatory message, and then me editing back the message a bit so it was less embarrassingly over the top. Also sent my students a reminder about their homework due on Wednesday and our little field trip tomorrow morning and accidentally sent it to last quarter's class, whoops. Luckily a former student quickly notified me of my mistake and I got it fixed!

Class was great - lots of flipped-classroom stuff that worked well even with only two students in the room (it's a conference week, everyone's traveling). I knew from previous years that the students had really, really struggled with this one equation, so I had them do a couple of examples in class and after working through the first one together, they both nailed it on the second try. Had to cancel a meeting with one of my undergrad research interns after class because the other members of our research team are out of town this week. Where is everyone? Well, at a conference and doing a two-month-long field campaign on the east coast. Forgivable. She offered to send me some of the work she's done thus far, so that's handy!

Went to check email after class and found that apparently a new remote meeting had popped on my schedule for immediately after class with an old peer mentoring group of mine (fellow 4th-year assistant profs in tangentially-related fields - we all did a professional development course last year together). Luckily it was cameras off so I could snack and decompress a bit while we caught up and made some strategic plans for the quarter.

Okay, FINALLY time to check email in earnest before my next meeting. 36 new messages since I checked last. New software package I need to bookmark and keep in mind for later work. Updates from the conference I'm technically attending virtually this week. Reference letter request from an undergrad student; add to calendar! Title and abstract to get added to the website for a seminar I'm hosting in a couple weeks. Reminder that the Zoom recording of my class is available to put online (which I promptly did). Triple-check with our tech guy that we're good to go up on the roof tomorrow to set up instrumentation for my class's term projects (all good!). Time flies, so here's the email with research progress from my undergraduate research intern and a handful of questions, we'll answer those and see how she likes jumping into a new dataset. New grant opportunities, job listings, a bunch of easy stuff to mark off. An essay about allocating time each week into the categories of Teaching, Research, and Service and strictly adhering to the percentages laid out by your tenure/promotion committee. Got a few minutes before my next meeting so I'll try it this week? Ish? Maybe? Looked sidelong at the new schedule, sure, we'll try that this week. Sent an email to my collaborator who's on a field project to see if we can do a remote meeting tomorrow to chat about a couple research proposals. Queued an email for next week's seminar speaker to see if he can send me the title and abstract for his talk/PhD entrance exam next week - no sense freaking him out before Wednesday, so we'll do a scheduled send.

Next up, meeting remotely with my former postdoc advisor! We've set up these meetings to "work on research projects" together but honestly this week it was just listening to him tell a very entertaining story about his car breaking down in rural Missouri and also listening to him describe a truly tragic tale of his very fancy sandwich getting thrown out of the office fridge by accident. That's scientific collaboration, baybee. We did talk research for a bit and he mentioned wanting to collaborate on a paper (he offered to pay for it out of the much more substantial research funds that come with his 30 extra years in the field) so I'm gonna come up with something for that by our next meeting in two weeks. I like working with him - we've published a couple papers in some pretty high-impact journals and he's always let me take the lead and go for first authorship without butting in, only providing support - so this is a fun prospect! I do have to submit an abstract this week for a European conference that'll be happening this spring, so maybe I can go ahead and lean into that idea a little.

It's now getting a little dark and rainy and I'm flagging a bit but I still have an hour before the afternoon seminar, so probably time to do a little course prep. Did some "grading" (just checking completion certificates for an introductory module the students had to go through). Fixed a mistake in Wednesday's lecture (why is there an anemometer when I'm talking about thermometers???). Reviewed some of the more complicated topics in Wednesday's lecture to make sure I'm not totally lost (some thermodynamics I haven't looked at in a while, thermocouples, semiconductors). Replacement slides uploaded to our course management system.

Aha! Email back from collaborator, she's going to be on a research flight tomorrow and won't be able to meet. All good, I don't have much to report anyway. That frees up an hour tomorrow, woohoo.

Okay, students have a homework assignment due a week from Wednesday, so I'm gonna post it this Wednesday. I have a good homework assignment prepared, I just needed to go in and write up a nice answer key. Got that done (along with some sample Python code to provide them with) and the homework assignment is scheduled to be posted, so it's time to look at next week's lectures. I've inherited this class from someone whose course notes can be a little scattered, so this is usually a bit of a process. Only two lectures to prep for next week, though!

Took a break from lecture prep to go to today's seminar, which purported to be about a really dodgy geoengineering scheme (redundant descriptor, am I right?) but in fact just rigorously tested said scheme and demonstrated it would actually have the opposite effect. Super fun and interesting seminar!

Okay, back to working on lectures for next week. Somehow got both of next week's lectures done before the end of the day, so those should just need a little polish and they'll be ready to go! Uploaded them to the course management system but sneakily and they won't appear to students until I've checked them over.

Tomorrow: going to the roof with my students to set up their term projects, then tons of sweet, sweet, meeting-free office time carved out. Hope this doesn't come back to bite me with a million meetings on Wednesday (...it will).

Important: work is done by 5PM. I try very hard to adhere to "leave work at work", which is not as much of a pipe dream as it seems, even for R1 tenure-track.
