Thinking about Sora in The Final World, tired and having to put himself back together again, hinging on the hope that he can still go back and save the others. The fact that you only need 111 pieces of him but there's a lot more you could collect. The fact that, despite acting as cheery and himself as he could be in such a situation, it takes talking to the Nameless Star for him to cheer up and feel somewhat fine again (and to be open about how overwhelmed he was by everything he had to do).

"I wish I could do something but...What should I do now?"

(That even when he already has so much to do, he sincerely still wants to help someone he just met.)

"Things that should be done...? There's a lot."

"Then, you have to put in a lot of work." "Yeah, that's right."

(I wanted to note that Sora says 「いっぱい」 (ippai) which means "a lot". Hence Nameless Star's response also using 「いっぱい」 to tell him that he's going to have to give a lot of effort. It's a little cheeky and wholesome, which garners Sora's small chuckle of sorts. It's a little different from ENG in that case so I wanted to share, though the meaning isn't lost across dubs.)

(Sora uses the term 不思議 (fushigi) which can mean wonder/strange/mystery. I thought wonder would fit the best here. Either way, the usage of it makes me think of a lot of things that put me in my feels TvT)

Sora just drives me into a frenzy with the way his character and emotionality are portrayed throughout the series. It's said a lot, and especially by me, but he's simultaneously so "heart on his sleeve" and "under the radar" when it comes to his struggles. I've seen people say that his struggles/mental health struggles only popped up in KH3 (which is so WILD to say in the first place), and that really goes to show how Sora can slip through the cracks with his genki attitude and repressive coping mechanisms. His sadness isn't just in moments, it carries like an undercurrent that eventually gets bigger and bigger as the stakes get much higher and he's way in over his head.

One thing that stuck out to me in his conversation with Nameless Star is his use of the question "What should I do?" It's especially notable in JPN with the phrasing, as it's the exact one he uses with Riku earlier. Sora goes through the endgame not comprehending all the details, having to follow his heart, because what else can he do but this?

I can't ever stop thinking of KH3 endgame Sora. He's tired, he's grieving, he's overwhelmed, he's determined, he's desperate, he's anxious, he's angry, he's so strong, he's preparing to pull the most heart-wrenching sacrifice he could with a smile on his face. I never get tired of talking about him, we need to keep talking about him ToT
