Steve felt like his heart was about to beat out of his chest. The TV at Family Video was turned on to the news station (the tiebreaker when he and Robin couldn’t agree), and a reporter was saying something about a gruesome murder, limbs snapped, teenage boy suspect, and it all swirled and came together until Steve saw the trailer in the background.

Oxygen evaded him. He gasped, trying to remember how to breathe, how to stay grounded, because freaking out wasn’t going to help anything right now-

“Steve!” The front door banged open and Dustin ran in. “How many phones do you have?”

Steve blinked at Dustin. Managed a breath, another one. His brain still felt like it was swimming through molasses. “Why?”

Dustin rolled his eyes like it should’ve been obvious and gestured to the TV. “I’m gonna call Eddie. And, like, everyone. You know what situation this is, right? And that’s Eddie’s trailer. And he doesn’t know anything about this.”

“I know,” Steve murmured, thinking. “Okay, let’s go.” He spared a glance Robin’s direction. She nodded.

Dustin frowned. “Go where?”

“To go find Eddie. I know where he’ll be.”

“How? Steve? Steve, you don’t even know him. Steve?”

Steve ignored the questions. “Get buckled. You got your radio?”

“Yeah, of course.”

“Good, keep it on you.” Still ignoring all of Dustin’s questions, he peeled out of the parking lot, making his way to the place he and Eddie had promised each other they’d go if shit hit the fan.

He pulled up to the shed and gestured for Dustin to follow as he cautiously walked inside.

“Eddie?” Dustin asked. “Eddie, it’s Dustin, are you here?”

Steve should’ve said something, should’ve let Eddie hear his voice, but it’s too late because he touched the tarp Eddie’s under and suddenly his back was against the wall, a broken beer bottle against his neck. “Eddie,” he murmured calmly, even as his pulse skyrocketed. He vaguely heard Dustin saying something about his mother. “Eddie, put down the bottle, please. It’s okay. It’s just me and Dustin. No one followed us here. I know what you saw, I know what happened. I know you didn’t kill Chrissy, Eddie. I know you’re scared and don’t know what’s going on, but we’re gonna help you, okay? You’re not alone.”

Eddie dropped the bottle with a slight gasp, eyes widening as he realized who he’s looking at. “Shit,” he whispered, gently placing his hands on Steve’s shoulders. They were shaking. “Steve. Did I hurt you?”

“I’m fine,” he promised, his own hands finding Eddie’s waist. “And you? Are you okay?”

“Christ, Steve, I dunno.” He let out a weak laugh and dropped his head to Steve’s shoulder. “She just… she was sayin’ she thought she was crazy, paranoid, and then she’s in the air, and the sound, Steve, Jesus fuck, I’m never gonna forget it as long as I live, and then she- she’s dead, and-”

“I know,” Steve promised quietly, pulling him into a hug. “I know. It’ll be okay. C’mon, my house is safe. We can go there, lay low. Want me to get Wayne too? The trailer’s a crime scene right now, he’s gotta go somewhere else anyways.”

“Yeah. Please. Just… gimme a minute.”

“I’ll give you all the minutes,” Steve promised nonsensically. “We’ll get everyone together, figure out how to beat it. We’ve done it before.”

“Um,” Dustin said, “what the fuck?”

“Watch it,” Steve warned, tracing Eddie’s spine with his palm. “Did you really think the former king of Hawkins High didn’t buy from the best dealer in town?”

Dustin stared at him, disbelieving. “You’ve never gotten high in your life. I don’t think you’ve ever relaxed in your life.”

Eddie murmured something in Steve’s ear that caused him to roll his eyes and pinch Eddie’s side, smiling when he twitched. “You shush,” he admonished before turning back to Dustin. “I have gotten high. I stopped when I started watching you and the rest of the ankle-biters.”

Dustin rolled his eyes. “Okay, so explain this. Explain how cuddling your drug dealer is normal behavior.”

Steve tapped Eddie’s back, who tilted his head up again to whisper into Steve’s ear. “You sure?” Steve asked, and Eddie nodded.

“‘S fine.”

“M’kay. If you say so.” He stroked a hand down Eddie’s back again before returning his attention to Dustin. “Eddie’s not just my drug dealer. He’s my boyfriend.”

Dustin blinked. “You’re not gay.”

“Nope. It’s called bisexual. ‘S when you like both guys and girls.”

Dustin narrowed his eyes. “But… Robin?”

Steve rolled his eyes. “Platonic, like I’ve told you a million times before, you twerp.”

Dustin shook his head. “Wait. You and Eddie?”

“Christ, I’d have better luck talking to a brick at this point. Yes, me and Eddie. Is that gonna be a problem for you?”

“Well, yeah,” Dustin said, like it was obvious, unaware of the way Steve and Eddie and both stiffened at his words. “You’re, like, my brothers or some shit. I don’t want my brothers dating each other. Besides, you both could do so much better.”

Eddie snorted and looked up at Dustin. “Not sure that’s how that works, bud.”

“Sure it is,” Dustin shrugged.

Steve rolled his eyes. “Not the point,” he reminded them both. “Eds, c’mon, let’s get you to my house. Dustin, can you walkie everyone? Tell them to meet us there?”

Dustin shook his head, but brought the walkie up to his mouth anyways. “Uh… guys? We’re meeting at Steve’s house ASAP. Over.”

“That’s not proper form, dipshit. Over.”

“Shut the fuck up, how about that? Over.”

“Fucking hell,” Steve murmured, grabbing the walkie from Dustin. “Listen up, twerps, my house, twenty minutes, move it. Over and out.”

Eddie began to grin at Steve. “‘S kinda hot, Stevie.”

“Oh, god,” Dustin said, screwing up his face. “No. Nope. We’re not going there. Just… let’s go. Before I try to bleach my brain.”

Steve chuckled, smacking a kiss to Eddie’s cheek and ruffling Dustin’s hair through his hat. “Glad you’re safe, Eds. Let’s go.”

20. When around others, Urianger is timid, straight forward, funny talking fortune teller with a lecture on every lesson. But with Rornir he's such a goofy troll. He's got the punniest jokes, the silliest smile, he oozes a confidence that only Thancred has likely seen. Maybe because Rornir helped him find his real self or he can let his hair down more saftely.

For Rornir the opposite is true. Meaning, Rornir can calm down. He can rest. He can show emotion other than bright, hopeful and positive. Rornir has an outward appearance as an Extrovert, when in truth he's just a very, very good actor. He'll call himself a liar. He's just an introvert whose trained himself to smile. The truth of his name and his past wears heavy on him and when he's with Urianger he can let that weight show a little more. He can cry, because others aren't dependant on his happiness. He can stop moving and rest, he knows he's in good hands. He can be a little lethargic, because Urianger knows the weight of the lies Rornir carries and doesn't judge him for it.

in short, they're completely different people. Nearly opposites of what the world sees, and almost swapping roles with each other.

 It’s All Love at First Sight

 The first time they crossed each other’s path was when they were young to even remember what the other looked like. They were not really best of friends. In fact, they don’t even know each other. It was just a random encounter that anyone would forget. But there was one thing that is eerily familiar. Those eyes.

 Weiss, doesn’t believe in love at first sight. I mean, what kind of person are you if you would just fall in love like that? Definitely not Weiss. She had heard a lot of stories around. All stories with the same statement of; “It was love at first sight.” How sappy.

 It was plenty annoying to hear how everyone turn into a mushy giggling fool, just because they met that supposed someone right in the corner of a busy street.

 Maybe she’s just like that because she’s bitter. Eh, probably. It’s not like when you’re a Schnee, you’ll get genuine suitors crawling on your feet. Mooching might be the word for it though.

 “Weiss, it’s just, her eyes. It’s so pretty.” Sighed Blake, as she blissfully stare into nothingness with Weiss mentally gagging at her friend’s actions.

 “Ugh, not you too, Blake.” Muttered Weiss, ignoring her love stricken best friend.

 Meanwhile, Ruby loves the idea and notion of love at first sight. Just like in the fairy tales she have read, the prince will fall in love at first sight with the princess. And they live happily ever after. The End.

 She wants that to happen to her. Just like her Mom and Dad, who happens to be a by product of love at first sight. It was an amazing story and also quite an amazing feeling according to people around her.

 The feel of eyes meeting eyes. The feel of the first lingering stares. All of it, was worth the wait. She thought. She was willing to wait to meet whomever the person that was meant for her.

 And the first time she saw her, it was her eyes that strikingly embedded to her. How that person’s eyes glow like stars in the darkest night. How it felt like she was deep into the ocean with those baby blue eyes. And she remembers how tears formed into those pair of eyes before disappearing from her vision.

 She knew, right then and there, that it was love at first sight.

 “So, what’s up, sis? Penny for your thoughts?” Asked Yang as she looked at her sister.

 Snapping up from her stupor, she looked at her in confusion. “Ah—wha?”

 Yang gave her a worried look. “You’ve been staring into nothingness. What’s wrong?”

 Ruby shook her head. Implying that the latter shouldn’t be worried. “Its just… I sort of remembered an encounter with someone back then. And they have tears in their eyes. I just—I kinda want to meet them.”

 Yang blinked and gave her a sly smile. “Is my baby sis in loooove?”

 Ruby flushed in different shades of red and flail her arms around in panic. “I—I… maybe, I don’t know! It’s just—their eyes…”

 Ruby met those eyes again. And this time, they’re staring back at her.

 Those stunning shade of blues. She never have seen such beautiful shades in her life. It was—it was… breathtaking. She felt her heart twitch in anticipation, after all these years, she finally once again met those eyes.

 “Yo! Earth to Ruby!” She heard her sister call.

 She flinched at the volume and immediately switch her attention to her.

 “I—wha… YANG!!” She yelled and gave her shocked sister a punch in the arm, earning a yelp from them.

 “YOUCH—what was that for?!” She hissed in pain. Ouch, she didn’t know her sister could pack a punch.

 “You made me miss them!” She continue to yell.

 Yang blinked in confusion. “Miss who?!”

 “The person with blue eyes!!”

 Yang looked at her like a gaping fish out of the water. “Who now?”

 Ruby closed her eyes tight, her fist lightly drumming on the table. “Blue eyes…”

 “Blue? Eyes?” Parroted Yang.

 Ruby’s shoulders sagged and leaned on the table groaning in disappointment, leaving Yang mulling over what the heck’s the blue eyes her sister is talking about.

 Meanwhile, Blake was walking down the cafeteria with Weiss in tow. Or at least, that's what she thought. She saw that Weiss was nowhere near her and her eyes widen at the realization that she might be possibly swept off in the sea of people. Considering how short Weiss was, there’s no doubt that she might lose her—nevermind, she was just standing like a pole in the middle of the cafeteria.

 “Weiss, what the heck is wrong with you? Why did you—are you okay, Weiss?” She looked at her friend who was busy looking at the wall across the cafeteria.

 Weiss blinked and regain her posture to look at Blake like nothing happened.

 “Nothing. I just, saw something. Nothing to worry about.” Her voice grew an octave higher than it should be and speed walk away with Blake running to catch up to her.

 Days have passed and Weiss was still thinking. Not that she’s always not thinking, but this time there’s a cause that she didn’t know why of all things would be the cause.

 Every time she closes her eyes, she sees those stunning silver eyes like no other. And every time she sleeps, she swears she could fly as she dreamt about those very same eyes. What is wrong with her? Does she need medical attention? No, not really. Does she need other attention? Eh, most likely.

 “Okay, Weiss, what is wrong?” Asked Blake, her eyes brimming in concern.

 “Pardon?” Asked Weiss, looking to her from where she is reading.

 Blake’s shoulders slumps. “Are you okay? You’ve been… thinking… a lot. It’s like—it’s stressing you out.”

 Weiss swivels her chair to meet her book. “What makes you say that?”

 Blake can’t help but think that her friend is really stubborn as heck.

 “You've been sighing a whole lot. Your eyes would be lost everywhere. You sometimes even don’t pay attention to classes this past few days.” Blake listed all what she had seen so far. Well, at least she didn’t know about the dreams.

 The latter had her back straighten like a pole, her shoulders raised and her muscles tensed. Blake noticed this and sighed.

 “Look, Weiss. I know you're stubborn, but never been this stubborn.” Blake started. “Could you please, at least tell me why?”

 “Ain't nothing but a heartache.” Sang Weiss, jokingly. Blake gave her a deadpanned look. “Now, I really know there’s something wrong. You’re joking.”

 “Ouch, that hurt, Belladonna. Can’t I make jokes?” Said Weiss while chuckling.

 “Not this time, you won’t.” Glared Blake. Her eyes then soften and looked at her. “What’s wrong?”

 “I don’t know.” Said Weiss, truthfully. She shook her head with a sigh. “I’m not even sure with what I’m feeling, or thinking about.”

 Blake raised a brow at the answer and hold the latter’s shoulder. “Did something happened? Like, that time in the cafeteria.” She stated. Weiss continues to stare at Blake, before slumping on her chair, giving in.

 “I met—more like saw… someone, I guess.” She started, taking a deep breathe before continuing. “I can’t help but think that they’re… eerily familiar. Like, I’ve seen them before.” Blake listened intently to what her friend is saying.

 Weiss drummed her fingers on her desk, creating a slow beat. “And what's more striking about them, is when I saw her eyes. It… shone, like glowing stars in the night with how silver it is. And they’re… very beautiful.” Breathed Weiss. Blake stared at her in surprise with how soft and calm she sounds like.

 “Wait, silver? Silver eyes?” Asked Blake. Weiss nodded. Blake took a sharp inhale and exhaled a smile. “I think I know who that is.”

 Weiss’s back stood straight on her chair and looked at Blake eagerly. “Really? You know her?

 Blake looked down in thought, then to Weiss. “I may have an inkling on who it was. And it involves Yang.”

 “Xiao Long? As in, your girlfriend Yang Xiao Long?” Asked Weiss, incredulously. Blake laughed at her reaction. “Yes, the very same.”

 Weiss then sighed at her. “Fine. I’m curious, but that doesn’t mean I would like whatever that blonde let out from her mouth.”

 “Alright then. Tomorrow's good for you?” Asked Blake. Weiss nodded. “Yes.”

 Blake stood up and told the former good night before heading towards her side of the room. Grabbed her phone. Sat on her bed. And called Yang.

 “Wassup, kittycat?” Whistled Yang. Blake rolled her eyes, affectionately. “Hello to you too, Yang.” Blake heard Yang smile behind the phone.

 “Why did you call? Is there something wrong?” Yang asked in concern. Blake sighed.

 “Why does every time I call you, you’d always assume that?”

 Yang shrugged. “Well, you know… the last time.”

 Right. Of course… that. But that’s not why she called her this late this time. Tonight's different. A good kind of different.

 “It’s not about that, don’t worry.” Said Blake. “You’re sister has silver eyes right?”

 “Yeah? Why the sudden interest, Blakey?”

 Blake exhaled. “Remember my best friend?”

 “Weiss Schnee, right? Blue eyes. White hair. Cold as weiss. Yeah, I remember.”

 She smiled at that. Of course, the pun will never cease to exist. That’s Yang Xiao Long, the punniest of them all.

 “I want Ruby to meet her tomorrow.” She said, bluntly.

 “Hold on, kitten. Are you playing matchmaking now?” Blake almost laughed at the accusation. Almost.

 “No, I’m not.” She feigned ignorance, a tone in her voice tells Yang otherwise. “Why would I do that?

 “Blakey, I know that tone. Heck, I’ve heard when it comes to the diddl—”

 “Yang, I’m hanging you.” Stated Blake, firmly.

 “Ack… no. Don’t. Geez, sorry. But yeah, you get my point. But why now all of a sudden?” Blake smirked at the question. “Oh, you’ll see.”

 “Okay. I can practically hear you smirk. I swear Blake if you—”

 “Thanks, Yang. Love you!” She said hanging up, leaving a very confused Yang, for the second time in the week.

 The day of tomorrow came by, almost instantly. Seemingly excited to see the possible scenario that would happen, this very same day. And it is a perfect day. The sun blazing brightly. The clouds drifting in the sea of skies. The leaves rustling around with the wind, softly blowing melodies. It really is… a perfect day.

 “Ouch, Blake! Stop pulling.” Whined Weiss.

 Okay, well, not as perfect to Weiss. Blake ended up dragging her out when she refused to meet the silver eyed person whom she is almost everyday, thinking about.

 “Blake, in all honesty. I think you're the most excited out of all of us.” Insisted Weiss. Blake laughed haughtily. “I am not. And I can vouch for that.”

 True to her words, there is actually someone out there, who is equally excited as she is, if not, much more excited than her. And if you guessed right, congratulations, and if not, that’s fine, all is well. But yes, that person is no other than, Ruby Rose. Practically and almost literally jumping on Yang when she told her she’d be meeting a person with blue eyes.

 “Ohhh!! Yes!! I bet she’s sooo pretty or beautiful.. o-or gorgeous… Yaaang!!” She squealed in excitement. Yang laughed at the action.

 “Well, you’re lucky she’s a friend of mine and Blake.” Grinned Yang. The former hugged her sister and thanked her… a lot. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thaaank you, Yang!”

 Yang smiled softly. “No problem. Anything for you, sis.” She then ruffled her sister's hair. “Ready to meet her?” Ruby nodded enthusiastically.

 “Right then let’s go!” Yang said.

 The restaurant's bell rang as the two sister's entered. Yang looked around before she saw a white hair standing out from the corner of the room. Grinning, she grabbed Ruby’s hand and head straight to where her girlfriend and friend is.

 “What’s cookin’, good lookin’?” She said, as she leaned on the table to stare at Blake.

 “Oh you know, a smoking hot, Bake-a-donna.” Blake humored back.

 “Seriously? Right in front of my salad?” A white haired girl grumbled, insulted.

 Yang swivels her head to Weiss. “Way to quote, Sch—right, of course, not quoting.”

 Weiss gave her a deadpanned look. “I am quoting. Literally.” Yang chuckled at her and stood up straight, hugging her sister, who is staring at Weiss. Noticing this, she internally giggles.

 “Weiss, meet my sister, Ruby. Ruby, meet Weiss.” Introduced Yang.

 Unfortunately for her, the two are no longer paying attention to everything that is around them. Everything was blurred out, the people, the walls, everything. There were only static noise, buzzing out as they also block the sound from their surroundings. Both opened their mouths and simultaneously uttered a word.

 “Blue…

 They both uttered.

I was actually having a bit of a hard time to make this thing. I had to delete a thousand words worth of plot because it didn’t felt right.

This was originally supposed to be a Soulmate AU, but like, it was kind of a thing already of the WRW, so I brushed it off. Although, it still kind of leaning on to that part.

Oh yeah, you have to squint a bit to see the prompts in this shot. It’s easy to find don’t worry.

You both would brush it off not thinking too much into it. That is... until one day when you were having some lunch at Grillby’s.

Nothing in particular it going on just some usual chit-chat and some silly puns from him and then it happens.

You tell him one of the punniest jokes he’s ever heard.

He’s doubled over laughing as he holds his stomach, you’re laughing along with him.

He looks up at you at just the right moment where you look your cutest as you’re laughing and it was like someone just slapped him across the face.

He just stops laughing and stares at you watching you laugh as he starts to blush a deep blue.

After a few moments of noticing that he wasn’t laughing you stopped and looked at him to see if he was okay.

He would jerk back from your touch “YEAH! I’M ALL GOOD!”

He would try so hard to hide how he feels about you. He would try with every fiber of his being to not show the effect you had on him.

But....

Suddenly everyday activities with you had an entire new feeling for him.

Every smile you would send his way, or the way you would laugh at his puns no matter how corny they were, or how sparkly your eyes where the first time he took you to the star cave and how much he wanted to kiss you and-

Oh he could think of you for hours with the dumbest look on his face, you had such a strong effect on him.

He couldn’t take this anymore this fluttery feeling in his chest whenever you were around was driving him crazy.

The next time you came to hang out he summoned all his courage.

“Y/N, we’ve known each other for awhile now and even though we are such great friends I don’t know if that’s what I want with us anymore” he looked over at you and saw the sad look on your face “I-I’m not saying I don’t want to be friends anymore! N-nothing like that, I want the opposite if I’m being honest.”

He could feel his face heating up again “I think I’ve fallen hard for you everything you do makes me-... I can’t even put into words”

He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly as he looked anywhere but you as he waited for your response hoping for the best.

The silence is killing him until he feels you hug him and admit how you feel the same.

He is beyond happy, hugging you back. “So does that mean that we are... dating now?”

You nod

He laughs hugging you closer.

Papyrus:

You were his favorite human, it was no secret, everyone knew you were.

He loved spending time with you, making puzzles, cooking spaghetti, watching television.

Anything to be with you, you just made him so happy.

He might even say that he loved you...platonically, of course.

One day you both were in the kitchen cooking some more spaghetti, you were standing next to him working on the sauce.

You seemed to be extra excited about this batch, you had found some new spices that you wanted to try.

You both sat down to eat and tried what turned out to be pretty good spaghetti

You looked over at him with a big smile “This is really tasty, isn't it?”

“Yes, human it is quite-...” he looked down at you smiling so brightly at him and you unknowingly had a bit of sauce on your cheek.

“Hold still human” he picked up a napkin and wiped the sauce away, your cheeks turned a faint shade of pink and you looked away slightly embarrassed.

“Thanks” you giggled

Suddenly he felt something, it was like a swirling in his chest.

When you both finished eating and said your goodbyes after making plans for the next day he ran up the stairs to talk to Sans, maybe he would know why his chest felt so funny.

He explained the situation to Sans.

“So” Sans started “would you say that what they did, was it cute to you?”

“Well of course I think they are cute Sans they are my best friend”

Sans chuckled “No, no Pap I got a feeling that you love them”

“Sans I just said they are my best friend obviously I love them.”

Sans laughs a little harder “I meant in the non-platonic way”

Papyrus was quite as he mulled over everything that had been said and he could feel his cheekbones slowly get hot.

Sans chuckled again “Oh my god, Pap, you’re blushing, you got a huge crush on them don’t you?”

Papyrus shot up from his seat suddenly feeling embarrassed and went to his room.

He flopped down on his bed, all of this new information buzzing in his head.

He stared up at the ceiling, his mind slowly drifting to you.

As he thinks about you he realized all of the things that he found so interesting are all the reasons why he has a crush on you.

He hates laying here and thinking about these feelings.

He gets up and makes his way you your house to talk to you.

It’s a short walk to your house and quickly finds himself on your doorstep and knocking on the door.

A moment later you appear smiling got at him with a confused look.

“Papyrus? I thought our plans were for tomorrow did I misunderstand?”

“They were human but there was something I needed to talk to you about”

“Oh, alright, come on in” you stepped aside to let him in and shut the door behind him.

You walked over to the couch and sat down he sat next to you

“So, what did you want to talk about?”

Suddenly his mind went blank, he never actually came up with a plan on what he was going to do or say.

Without thinking he just blurted out the first thing that came to mind.

“Sans says I have a crush on you!” he smacked his hand over his mouth and his cheeks burned a bright orange.

You looked at him wide eyed “Do you?”

He was silent for a moment “....I think I do...”

“I think I do too” you began to blush.

Wowie they looked cute like that...

You craned your neck to reach him and kissed his cheek.

That swirling feeling came back

“Does this mean that we love each other non-platonically?”

You blushed harder and giggled at him.

“I guess we do”

He nuzzled your cheek

“Good!”

Grillby:

You came in a lot sometimes to eat sometimes just to talk, sometimes with your friends and sometimes you would come alone, he preferred when you came alone.

You always had interesting things to talk about.

Now that he thought about it he really couldn’t remember most of the things you talked to him about, maybe he just liked hearing your voice.

He glanced over at the clock, it’s almost time for you to come in.

He noticed a while ago that you started coming in around the same times each day and be found himself looking forward to those times.

Some monsters who frequent Grillby’s began to notice how he would burn a bit brighter when you would come in.

Grillby had his back to the door when you came in and didn’t know it was you.

Sans was sitting in his usual spot at the bar so you sat down next to him.

“Hey human”

“Hi Sans”

Grillby heard your voice and-

FWOOSH!

He was burning brighter again.

Some of the other patrons snickered at him.

“Hi Grillby!” You greeted him with your usual cheery manner

“Hello, y/n can I get you anything?”

“No thank you just here for your company right now”

He chuckled nervously and the flames on his head crackled

Your phone began to ring “Oops please excuse me” you got up and walked outside to take the call.

Sans looked over at Grillby as his flames went back to normal.

“Man, Grillby you got it bad for em’ don’t you”

“What, Sans you’re crazy”

“No I think I’m right, some might say that you got the HOTS for them.”

He glared at Sans for the pun and for implying something that wasn’t true.

Sans laughed then shrugged

“Hey you never know they may think you’re a real HOTTY too”

He was about to respond when you came back in looking a bit distressed.

“Hey guys sorry but I gotta go, Undyne needs my help, I’ll see ya later”

And like that you were gone again.

Grillby subconsciously sighed and went back to work.

It was almost closing time and Grillby was disappointed that he hadn't seen nor heard from you the entire day and it brought down his mood quite a bit.

The place was empty and quiet, he started to think about what Sans said, it started to bug him.

Sure he was always happy to see you, and you always put him in a good mood, and he always felt better after talking to you, but that didn’t mean he had a thing for you...did it?

He must have been deep in thought because he didn’t hear the door open nor did he hear a sweet cheerful voice that greeted him.

You wave your hand in front of Grillby’s face

“Hey, earth to Grillby”

He snapped back to reality suddenly seeing you in front of him-

FWOOSH!

His flames where even brighter than when he usually was around you.

You thought you scared him.

“Whoa, Grillby, relax it’s just me, sorry I didn’t mean to spook ya that hard”

“Oh no, I’m alright don’t worry about it”

He rubbed the back of his neck

“I guess I was lost in my own head there for a bit”

You laugh a bit

“Sorry I was gone all day, I missed hanging out with you.”

His chest got tight, he tried to distract himself by cleaning up the bar.

“It wasn’t the same without you here, I guess I missed you too”

“Aww you really missed me?” You teased

He now realized that he said that out loud instead of in his head but there was no going back now.

“Heh... yeah, it was too quiet”

You stared at him as he worked, the longer you looked the more uncomfortable he became.

“Something on your mind,y/n?”

It was your turn to be snapped back, you blushed for getting caught staring

“Oh! Uh...w-well I was just wondering about you, ya know being made of fire thing and I can’t figure out how you don’t burn the things you touch”

He chuckled at your cuteness, it was a fair question for a human that was still getting used to monsters and magic.

“I can control it really well”

“Oh...would it be weird if I asked to touch you?”

You were clearly getting more embarrassed by how red your face had become he found it really adorable actually, maybe Sans was right, maybe he did have a crush on you.

“That would be fine”

He came out from behind the bar and sat on the barstool next to you.

Both of you turning your seats to face each other.

He figured you would touch his arm or something but suddenly he felt a gentle touch on his cheek, he looked up to see your fascinated face looking at him

“This is so strange, my brain is telling me no don’t touch fire but it doesn’t hurt”

You laughed a bit.

This was starting to mess with him

“You’re really warm to the touch, and... I can’t even form words to how fascinating this is”

You brought your other hand up to rest on his other cheek.

Neither one spoke but both slowly leaned into the other until they met each other in the middle with a nervous kiss

Nerves melted away quickly as both got into it

Grillby broke the kiss looking at you wide eyed, did that really just happened?

Oh man he really does have a thing for you

Both were at a loss for words but he broke the silence after a few moments

“I think I’ve wanted to do that for a really long time now”

You tilted your head to the side a tiny bit confused

“You think?”

“Heh, yeah think, because I just realized I had a seriously big crush on you for a long time”

You giggle

“Well that would explain why you would flair up so much when I would come to visit”

“I did what?!”

Hi I was wondering if you could do an imagine with Kaminari and his S/O who has epilepsy? Sounds odd I know but it would mean a lot

(A quick note before story: This isn’t odd at all and was really fun to write! There’s a brief mention of the basic things that might happen in an epileptic attack so just wanted you to know! I tried my best and hope you like it!  -Mod Tamaki)

It could be hard sometimes, having a partner with epilepsy. But they made it work, and Kaminari wouldn’t leave them for the world. 

They’d expressed their dismay over not being able to see popular movies, and their annoyance at the cost of medicine. The worst part of it, Kaminari thinks, is their fear that he’ll leave them. He’s always quick to reassure them, but he knows they still get anxious about it.

And he understands, he really does. But he still wishes that they didn’t feel that way.

The positive aspects greatly outweigh the negative, of course. For example, he has a loving partner. He cares for them and they care for him. He’s also very experienced in helping people with seizures now.

Kaminari will never forget the first time he witnessed his partner having a seizure. It was terrifying. Since then, he’s tried his absolute best to make sure they never have to deal with their triggers.

He can remember it like it was yesterday. How their words became murmured and gibberish. How they fell and twitched, how he cried and tried his best to help without touching them. The ambulance ride.

He never wants either of them to have to experience that again. Of course there will be minor ones, these things aren’t cured just like that. But he’ll do his damnedest to make sure that they’re safe throughout them.

Footsteps knock him out of his thoughts. Well, footsteps and the knocks on his head.

“Hello? Anyone home?”

He swats their hand away and looks up at them. They grin down at him.

“Hi (Y/N).  What’s up?”

“Oh, nothing much,” they say, waving their hand in a vague gesture. Their pearly whites flash out in a smirk and Kaminari feels more fear facing them than he does against hundreds of villains.

“Did I do something? What’d I forget now?” he asks, trying to remember. What day was it again? Wednesday? What was special about Wednesday again?

“Tonight’s date night! Silly,” they laugh. “Don’t worry though, it was my night to choose what to do anyways.”

Kaminari pales, bowing in his seat. “Sorry (Y/N), sorry. I’ve been struck with a bunch of paperwork today. Slipped my mind.”

(Y/N) rolls their eyes with a groan. “That pun was a bit of a stretch mister. Better step up your game or I’ll win the title of punniest person in the room. Though it wouldn’t be that much of a shock.”

Kaminari drags a hand down his face and sighs in fake annoyance. “That was horrible..”

“I know.”

He rolls his eyes. “So, what’s the plan for date night? A movie? Dinner? Maybe even-”

(Y/N) pushes his face away. “Gross, Denki. Keep it in your pants. But yes, we’re going to the movies!”

“Sounds great to me babe.” He scribbles his signature across another paper and smiles up at them. They lean down and plant a kiss on his cheek.

“Now hurry up and finish your work! I don’t wanna miss the movie because you didn’t wanna finish your work,” they say.

“Yeah yeah,” he waves, “I’ll get it done. Heroes honor.”

“I’ll hold you to it.”

An hour later and Kaminari only has ten reports to fill out. (Y/N) says that it’s time to leave, the movie might start soon. Kaminari heads to get dressed, assuring them that he finished his work.

He dresses in the outfit he knows they like best. Black skinny jeans, a leather jacket and his pale yellow shirt. Kaminari slides out the bedroom door, socks slipping down. Their eyes brighten and their smile widens when they see what he dressed in.

“Hi there my bumblebee. Ready to go?”

He nods, shoving his feet into his sneakers. (Y/N) places their feet in their shoes with much more grace. Kaminari takes note of how the blue of their shoes matches their dress shirt. He swallows when they stand up, their shoes making them an inch taller than him.

“You look good,” he stammers. They smile, peck his cheek, and grab his hand. He feels like a massive dork, cheeks ablaze.

Their walk to the movies is filled with lighthearted chatter. Kaminari asks what movie they were seeing and (Y/N) admits that they were thinking about Deadpool 2.

“That’d be cool. Are you sure it’s friendly though?”

They nod. “I read up on it. There’s a scene where some lights start flashing but it’ll be fine. I can just cover my eyes until you say it’s over. Right?”

“Of course.”

The pair walks into the theater. Between the two of them they can easily finish a large bucket of popcorn and so they order one plus two large sodas. They check into their movie and settle. Kaminari places his arm around their shoulder, their head leaning against him.

The movie was good. The ending was awesome though, and Kaminari would definitely watch it again. Not right now of course. Right now they had to get their sleepy lover home.

He lets them lean against him, his arm around their waist. He makes sure he’s on the outer edge of the sidewalk just in case. Their walk is filled with a peaceful silence.

(Y/N) goes to get dressed in pajamas as soon as they get back to the house. Kaminari takes a quick shower before doing the same. He finds them laying on the queen sized bed and turns the lights off, joining them.

“I love you,” (Y/N) breathes out, leaning into his space. Their words ghost over his lips. They lean in and give him a soft, slow kiss. No matter how many times he kisses them it always takes his breath away.

Kaminari pulls away first. “I love you too, (Y/N).”

They send a smile his way, snuggling closer and resting their head on his chest. Kaminari holds them close.

The couple falls asleep with smiles on their faces, dreaming of each other.

Galemont Talks About: Things That I Recall From E3 Conference (now that they’re over)

These are a collection of things that I mainly remembered the most in regards of the 2018 E3 Conference and my thoughts on it. They’re all a combination of things that I both like and not really like. Either way, all of these are my own opinions and spins on it.

Disclaimer Note #1: Yes, I like video games. No, I don’t/can’t play them or rather to an extent that I can play MAJORITY or ALL of them. Why? Because I’m poor -- so I might as well revel around other people’s emotions and mine (makes me sound like a vampire or something).

Disclaimer Note #2: I won’t include the sideshows or extras (e.g. Nintendo Treehouse). I am going to state things based on the things that are presented at the conferences.

ELECTRONIC ARTS (EA)

Frankly not the most memorable for me. They mentioned not much from EA other than sports games like Fifa, NFL, and NBA (ones I remembered at least), Battlefield V, Command & Conquer Rivals, and Anthem to name a few.

I kind of like how the folks at EA are somewhat self-aware on what they’re doing when talking about Battlefield V, stating that they want to depict their own image of WWII; though that’ll probably start a conversation for some folks I can imagine. It’s a bit of a downer for me considering that people are applauding at the information that there won’t be any lootboxes. Whether or not this will be true is beyond me.

Anthem looks interesting, to say the least. Though it’s such a shame that they didn’t mention, let alone, showed much. So with that being said I can’t say anything and even be very excited about it. We’ll see how it’ll go.

MICROSOFT STUDIOS

Lot’s of games. They showed off first party games like Halo: Infinite, Gears 5, and Forza Horizon 4. Ori and the Will of the Wisp was pretty neat and made me somewhat interested in trying out the Ori series.

The reveal of Devil May Cry 5 and Jump Force was very wild! The rumors that I often hear regarding DMC5 since last years Game Awards were very enticing, it was very cool to see it actually be true on E3.

Seeing Jump Force was surreal, especially when you’re watching Naruto, Goku, Luffy, and Frieza beating up each other in a hyper-realistic depiction of New York City’s Time Square; the shot of Ryuk and Light from Death Note is pretty wild too--would love to see what other Shounen Jump characters to be revealed there.

The trailer for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice looks very slick, kind of expecting it to be shown here especially after the teaser during the Game Awards.

The Amazing Adventures of Captain Spirit looks charming; a story that sets in the same universe of Life is Strange makes it interesting in my book. The game’s also free.

I’m super glad that Studio MDHR is making an expansion for Cuphead! It has always been a dream of mine to for Cuphead to have an expansion of some sort and I’m actually really excited that it’s real! They even made Ms. Chalice a playable character so that’s cool!

The game Cyberpunk 2077 was almost thought to be a myth until now. It’s essentially one of those games where you heard it and you’ll never know when the game will actually be released or revealed again; so seeing it back up again is pretty cool especially with their own flares for an introduction. Hopefully, it won’t go off into dark again.

BETHESDA

What’s the deal with that big dude during the Rage 2 presentation? He was like silent for a straight 15 seconds or something, some said that maybe his prompter bugged out? Who knows. Most of the presentations there were a little awkward, though it’s probably because most of them aren’t exactly used to standing in front of a big crowd or something.

Speaking of awkward, the Andrew W.K. live performance was whacked. He didn’t sound good there if I have to be honest, I don’t think most of the audience were jazzed about it too.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood was interesting, DOOM: Eternal caught me by surprise. Most of the other games shown there were interesting but didn’t really move me a lot.

Frankly speaking though despite the often awkwardness, there were some funny moments as well. Todd Howard’s presentation was a fun one to me; he was very self-aware of the jokes that went all over about him. I’m glad that Fallout 76 was expanded more in this conference because it was showed on Microsoft’s; it’s going to be an online multiplayer experience but apparently, it’s pretty divisive among folks, I personally think it’s neat--the nukes, however, is probably going to be a little sketchy in my opinion.

They also announced Elder Scrolls VI. Well, I say announced, it’s basically a tease; then it’s over.

DEVOLVER DIGITAL

Same thing they did last year: a satirical shitshow that makes fun of the conferences. It’s pretty fun, but admittedly I kind of got bored with it and I just want to see games more than them losing their minds. I say that because most of the jokes they do are basically beating on the same old topics that have been talked by folks for so long. Their conference is basically a self-contained story-arc, this one being the continuation of the previous one and I’m sure they’ll probably continue it next year.

They did show some games. 3 I believe. A battle royale shooter (I think?) called SCUM, a frenetic and comical platform shooter called My Friend Pedro (the one I’m most interested), and something called Meta Wolf Chaos XD which is a remaster of the cult favorite FromSoftware game of the same name. I’ll probably need to look it up on that more, looks fun.

SQUARE ENIX

Not really intrigued with it to be perfectly honest. Some of the things that they showed there have already been shown during the Microsoft conference (Kingdom Hearts 3, Just Cause 4, and Shadow of The Tomb Raider). While they did somewhat expand on it a bit, it kind of lost the impact that I think it could’ve had.

They announced an expansion of sort for Final Fantasy XIV Online along with a crossover with Monster Hunter World, showed Dragon Quest XI, and a new title called Babylon’s Fall by Platinum Games that is basically a teaser. Speaking of teasers, they also teased another new title called The Quiet Man; which admittedly has the strangest trailer.

Somewhat disappointed that they didn’t show anything about Final Fantasy VII Remake. It’s been so long since they announced it and showed a gameplay footage of it. Hopefully, they’re doing alright because the longer it goes on like this, it might become stale.

UBISOFT

The things that they showed there feels rather unsurprising because I kind of expected the things that they would do at the conference.

Kind of happy that they showed their new Just Dance game as their first thing, that way they cut the fluff and make the rest of the show focus on larger titles. There’s also a dude who tripped himself into a television.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 showed a new cinematic trailer, featuring Jade--but evil or something. The presenters said they want to show a gameplay footage but they showed very little. Joseph Gordon Levitt popped in and talked about putting people’s creative work into Beyond Good and Evil 2 (at least, that’s what I recalled)--didn’t really go into details on the incentives though.

For Honor got a new update featuring Chinese warriors into the mix, and they’re making the game available for free to grab for a limited time until June-18-2018.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 was showed again but explained a little more there, it looked interesting despite feeling like another generic rpg shooter. It looked interesting, they mention how they’ll do season updates throughout the year for free and I thought that’s cool. I do hope they’ll do well on this one.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas was showed a bit more again there and good golly they made a surprise with Star Fox crashing the scene, especially making Fox McCloud being playable with his Arwing. Pretty slick. Yves Guillemot even made a surprise by giving Shigeru Miyamoto a gift and I thought that was adorable.

The DLC for Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle that features Donkey Kong was shown there, looks neat but didn’t show much, it was explained in further details during the Nintendo Treehouse though.

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey was announced there and it’s surprising to me considering that Origins was out since last year. It looks pretty I’ll say that much. You can also play between two characters in the game: Alexios and Kassandra. It also looks like they’re making the game very action rpg-esque, kind of like Origins.

PC GAMING SHOW

This flipping conference went on for WAY too long. 2 hours for crying out loud! I also fell asleep halfway through or something because many of the things they showed there weren’t fascinating to me.

Satisfactory won the award for the punniest game title.

Lot’s of SEGA games are coming to PC, ones that caught my attention being Shenmue I & II and Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza 0.

 Untitled Publisher, a publisher that’s new to me announced 3 new indie games--2 of which I found the most interesting: Bravery Network Online and Overwhelm.

The game Maneater is basically a game about you being a shark and I have an iffy feeling it’ll shed a bad light on sharks for the public (I hope not).

Took so long for them to show Ooblets, a game that I’m very excited for, showed a new trailer though it showed some things. Wished there was more though.

SONY

The conference kicks out with The Last of Us: Part 2. Ellie is pissed as hell and I have no idea why and I’m scared. She also kissed a girl so that’s something. It kind of caught me off guard because I didn’t follow the previous game and its DLCs, so the whole information of Ellie being a lesbian is pretty new.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is revealed and it looks slick. The fact that Capcom released and announced games lately that actually looked cool as heck is wild. Hope it goes well for them in this one as well as DMC5!

This year’s E3 Conference showed off not one, but THREE samurai games; two of which were shown off in Sony’s conference: Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh 2. Not complaining, they all look slick.

Kingdom Hearts 3 also appeared in this year’s E3 Conference not once, but THREE times as well at different conferences. I should’ve mentioned before that every trailer did show something different, with the one in Sony having the most difference. It looks like Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to have Ratatouille and Pirates of the Carribean joining in.

I remember wanting to see more of Death Stranding and know what the heck the game’s about, and they showed some gameplay footage during the presentation. Still have no clue what it’s going to be about though.

There’s a weird looking game called Control, something to do about a girl with a gun who has telekinesis. Looks minimalistic and clean; it might be good too.

Spiderman features a handful of villains beating up on Spidey in the end. It’s a gameplay footage and oddly I don’t feel that intrigued by the trailer for some reason.

NINTENDO

Surprisingly not a lot of big games were announced on Nintendo Direct. I’ll say it here and now that the majority of the Nintendo Direct is mainly for the new Super Smash Bros. Aptly named as Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Needless to say, a lot of people were happy and so was I; though I’m surprised and mildly sad they didn’t show anything about Metroid Prime 4.

The first thing they showed was a mech game called Daemon X Machina. I first thought it was Armored Core, but the surprising part is I somewhat half-correct. The game was actually made by the same people who made Armored Core! Pretty funny to me considering that the design of the mechs in Daemon X Machina and Armored Core looked very similar. The trailer was wicked sick too so I’m sold.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 got a new DLC called Torna: The Golden Country that is available this September, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses is also announced to come out next year. So I’m sure the fans of those series would be very excited.

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee got a small spotlight there, but it’s mostly on the accessory Pokeball Plus. Turns out, every Pokeball Plus comes with a Mew for free inside; which to me is basically a way to make people want to buy the accessory then (that’s marketing ploy right there). This is interesting to me because it reminds me of the message in the last Let’s Go trailer that mentioned: “you’ll meet a special Pokemon”. This could either mean Mew or something else. So we’ll see.

Fortnite is on Switch, not a surprising thing to me and I think it’s good for the game and the devs who made it. I personally think Epic Games deserve the success with their game in my opinion.

Overcooked 2 is coming soon and now features online co-op which is great! Killer Queen Black looks interesting and my personal favorite Hollow Knight is finally out the day the Direct was on! If you’re into metroidvanias I highly recommend Hollow Knight very easily--the game is generally worth having as well in my opinion.

heard b-sides and rarities, beach house this is a minor release from a great band and feels like it. but it’s more beach house, so i can’t complain. depression cherry is my favorite record of theirs, so i like how much of this is reminiscent of it, hazy and soft, especially “baseball diamond” (which is from those recording sessions, naturally). weirdly, i think i like this more than some of their real albums - it’s a little less beholden to one corner of their sound. omnion, hercules & love affair beautifully made and has some great grooves. like a lot of dance albums it feels a little monotonous, and the songs ran together a lot, but i didn’t mind it until the end - albums with a sound this consistent tend to lose my active interest the longer they get. it’s also not interested in being particularly abrasive, which might have cut the sameyness a little. the song with mashrou’ leila, “are you still certain?,” is a big standout. jagged little pill, alanis morisette i think if i’d listened to this at 15 and not... 23, i would have found more in it. as it is, i still enjoyed it a lot. it’s very pure in how expressive it is, and it’s really fun to sing along to. it was tempting to think of it in context, but i actually found it more instant if i didn’t - the sound is very 90s but the emotional content is pretty timeless. it’s just that there’s a lot of music that hits a similar spot now; it’s good, even great, but not a revelation of the kind i was expecting from an album of this stature. (maybe the issue, then, is my expectations and not the album itself.)

seen gaga: five foot two (dir. chris moukarbel, 2017) i’ve gained more of an appreciation for lady gaga over the past year - the past few months, even - and i think i was in a position to really enjoy this. she’s a compelling figure, and her particular version of openness (not quite as performative as, say, madonna; it’s not grounds for provocation) really suits her to a documentary. i like that it doesn’t even try to justify her presence in pop culture, it just follows her through her work days. i would’ve loved more footage or insight into her studio process, i thought that was fascinating. best in show (dir. christopher guest, 2000) hmm. i loved the performances - parker posey in particular, though i love everything she does - and it was funny. it’s not that it felt mean-spirited, exactly, but it did seem a like these characters and their obsessions were meant to be a little sad. i think there was a point in it about how all the things people love are slightly obsessive and sad on this axis, so i felt kind of depressed after watching it. bojack horseman, s4 bojack is easily one of my favorite shows. i like how unflinching it is in how it depicts mental illness, trauma, and the aftereffects of such both on the people who suffer it and on everyone in their orbit; i like how it undercuts those elements with the goofiest, punniest sense of humor of any show. it’s committed to believing that people can be good and live meaningful lives even if they’re hurting, so it still feels very humane. i liked how this season was simultaneously the bleakest (via the flashback episodes and the resolution of bea’s plotline) and the most hopeful - the consequences of the past three were still being played out, but they were ends, not beginnings of something worse. the lighter tone feels both earned and necessary. (i also thought the running coutney portnoy jokes were hysterical.)
