I've shipped the VVV polycule for awhile, it's always been in at least my top ten since the pilot.

I 100% ship Velvette with Carmilla AND Carmilla with Zestial which has resulted in me shipping a very chaotic hateship threesome of Velvette x Carmilla x Zestial

Then I adore Chaggie but also love the idea of Velvette officially inserting themselves into their relationship by exploiting the fact they're both disaster gay in one form or another

Now I'm thinking of Velvette being part of not one, not two but THREE throuples without the others knowing so one day someone yells out "You two! Come get your bitchy girlfriend!"

Then it's immediately followed by Zestial, Carmilla, Valentino, Vox, Vaggie and Charlie all turning to look then immediately followed by them recreating that one Spiderman pointing meme

For anyone that remembers that old ask game about the WIPs in my folder -- this is the one that was called 'karst'. The reason will hopefully become clear as you read it.

Just like its predecessor, this work was originally inspired by this post (thank you once again, friend!). If you read it, I hope you'll enjoy it! It gave me some trouble here and there, but all in all, it was a pleasure to write. Hugs and kisses to you all!

i still had so much hope for them even after hardison fell and parker got shot. i was crossing my fingers because eliot will be there and they’ll get away because they always get away ?? right ?? but then they make it the van and eliot gets shot. right in the fucking chest.

THE VAN SCENE. I WAS DISTRAUGHT. DISTRAUGHT Y’ALL. AND THEN HARDISON’S LAST WORDS ARE TO WONDER IF ELIOT IS OKAY ??? “HERE I AM”??? WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT. AND THE THREE OF THEM FUCKING DIE HOLDING EACH OTHER’S HANDS WHAT DID THEY DO THAT TO US FOR. (something something parker dying alone when she’s finally learned what it means to have a family something something eliot dies first because to watch the people he’s dedicated his life to protecting die in front of him is to die a second and third time something something)

and then the cherry on top when nate and sophie look back and the three of them are dead and bleeding out and clutching on to each other in death what do they do ??? they don’t even consider giving themselves up they drive that van up the bridge and into the damn river.

nate’s enraged yelling at the agent had me wide eyed with my hand over my mouth. fucking STUNNED yall. nate is really no one’s favorite but my god the fucking pain in his voice. 10/10. BUT THEN of course that’s not all there is to it. the switch from grieving fury to composed nonchalance was both peak comedy and absolute whiplash.

AND HERE’S STERLING !! everyone’s favorite slime ball <3 and ho ho ? he’s mad at nate for killing the rest of the team ?? they grew on him didn’t they— like clumps of adorable mold that just keep coming back <3

and finally. the master plan is revealed. sterling did scare the living shit out of me shooting “hardison” like that but of course nate had a better plan than what they believed. crazy to think that the whole damn emotional rollercoaster was really just set up for the actual break in. (eliot’s exasperated eye roll and fall at nate’s “bang !” was everything.) starring sterling as the trojan horse! an amazing choice all around.

AND !! we have a proposal !! proposals plural actually because no way in fucking hell was that not a confession from eliot. that scene was the height of romance and i will be DAMNED if someone tries to tell me that was just normal best friend shit. OT3 IS REAL !!!

in conclusion: love leverage, they have the amazingest show to ever show and a finale better than any other out there. 200/10 would watch again and i am currently penning a love letter to john rogers and dean devlin.

I was thinking about Discworld couples for a Discworld group chats Valentine's ship fest, and I've noticed a sort of running theme among the couples Terry Pratchett writes. Much to think about....

Bonus times ot3 because they technically aren't canon but also I couldn't NOT include them

We all talk, rightly, about how "y'all" or another plural-you form is needed in every variant of English, and writing an OT3 will certainly convince you of that, but writing a threesome scene will also make you aware of a deep and vital need for forms of "you" corresponding to the cardinal directions.

There’s actually not a debate about the extent of Cromwell’s role in government even pre reveal of the OT3 but there is debate about his closeness to the royal family - like is this a friendship and a governing partnership? It does seem to be but on the other hand, it might just be that he’s so very useful and good at his job. On the other hand, the monarchs (and their children’s) very adamant defence of the man.

I do know there is discussion over whose idea X Legislation/Policy is - also that Anne took an active role in ruling (attended Privy Council meetings, endowed universities, schools and hospitals, had buildings built under her own name, corresponded with other royals and scholars) but there’s a ‘was she only focused on the female sphere/female education etc’ (In this world, like Hurrem Sultan Anne endows schools for girls, including universities). People tend to see the Duke of Essex (aka Cromwell) as focusing on infrastructure and the foundations of what will become the social welfare system/UBI and Henry far more on things like endowing buildings but one thing that Maya’s discovery proves is that their work really is a joint effort.

(For example of the above - the laws against child abuse are actually Anne and Henry’s work for Thomas, but a lot of the ideas are his - as is the legal framework, the formation of what is universal healthcare access is Henry’s passion project (historically he actually proposed something like that). The development of a merit based civil service has a lot to do with all three of them, as does the genuine religious pluralism (though a lot of that is Anne).

It’s remarked on how unusual (though not unprecedented - there have been royal families who keep their children with them) it is that Anne and Henry are very hands on with all their children.

*Obviously this is a very different world but also some frameworks are the same.

character headcanons ask game: hanzo if someone else hasn't already asked about him, or lucio if someone has. or both :D

i did hanzoooo (but i’m always down to do more pff) but i’ll do lucio cuz tbh i had to think about this a bit. what ARE my headcanons for my favorite frog boy 🤔

Sexuality Headcanon: this is a good question—i think for him it’s about the vibes—is he vibing with someone. tbh lucio strikes me as someone who falls in love with a lot of people in a lot of different ways; he’s always in love with someone or something. but at the same time i don’t know if the concept of being with someone is something that he’s truly thought out. he’s always on the move, always on the go, always living life to the fullest extent and in a manner of ways i think he just needs someone (or potentially plural) that matches his energy. might be poly-pan perhaps, i think that would work for him.

Gender Headcanon: nb masculine would be a fun headcanon for him tbh. i don’t know if i’m that pressed i just know he’s a dude lol

A ship I have with said character: i’m actually a pretty big bunnyribbit fan and when i’m not losing my mind over hana and daehyun (the real otp) then these two are always thick as thieves to me. just as i was talking about in the sexuality headcanon, i think hana just matches his energy. HONESTLY BIG BRAIN THOUGHT of hana, lucio, daehyun ot3 oh my god—

A BROTP I have with said character: in the same frame, the hana lucio friendship is chefs kiss but i think most people pair them as friends together. that aside, i think he and tracer are such cute friends!!

A NOTP I have with said character: hmm. him and junkrat ig? but i just think all the junkers are useless to the story and i dislike all of them fr. so its less to do with the ship itself and more like general disdain for all 4 (yes i include the fucking hamster) of those characters and that sector of the ovw universe. shoulda never been made imo.

A random headcanon: i think his love of jazz music came from his father 💛💛

General Opinion over said character: i love him 🥺🥺 definitely the first character after hanzo and cass that i got attached to because he’s black and fun and sweet and has such good energy and also frogs 🥺 but i think the fandom does have a tendency to… dumb him down a bit. like he doesn’t get as much agency and thought as other characters do, which is ridiculous because he literally led an entire revolution for his people??? but people sleep on it??? he is very good natured tho but i think its silly to think he never gets angry or wouldn’t kick someone’s ass cuz he can and did. AND DID.

min & gally... damn they would be a power couple. they're similar in so many ways that i feel they'd have a lot of Communication Issues in the beginning. and maybe they'd fight? but i feel like each would also admire the other's strength and general Coolness factor. It'd be slow burn and then they'd be inseparable.

Which of your fanfics would you suggest people read first?

in terms of Monogatari, my favorite fic of mine is it's only the fairy tale, which is a one bed hanekura fic played seriously. i also like together for tomorrow, which is my nadetsuki serial killer AU (and if you read and like that, i wrote a short sequel earlier this year)

my feelings are all over the place about my Monogatari/Danganronpa fic but if you're a fan of both series, i guess check those out

my Tsukihime fics are some of my most recent, so i haven't grown to loath them quite like a lot of my older writing. Reminisce is a fun little BAA OT3 fic, Red Moon is a Nanaya-focused kohakiha plural fic, Red Rose is just sorta funny and cute, lotus is a Ciel/Akiha curry shop AU, and In the Silence of the Shining Sky is a kohakiha fic where Kohaku tries to help Akiha and nothing bad happens

in terms of Arknights, Drunken Mistakes is a fun Silence/Saria fic about consent, cold place, now you're in is a 14,000 word anti-therapy manifesto, and Laughing With is the longest fic i've written to date

those are all the main fandoms i've written in, but i also like Paradise Regained, a Xu fu fic, hidden love, an Ereshkigal/Osakabehime streamer AU fic (that i want to write a sequel to one of these days), Silent Ceremony which is Junna and Nana being awkward at each other, and Kei Shirogane Wants to Confess is what the title says

I do have plans for the next instalment! Or instalments, plural, because I’m stuck on the one-shot that immediately follows the end of Valse à Trois Temps but I have notes for another story after that - essentially, three chapters than cover the years between the end of WW1 and the moment in 1937 when the trio meet one another again. (I got Very Ambitious with this series, but then again I’ve never written 218,854 words for a series before!)

I was actually thinking of making a story on AO3 with the couple of snippets (generally from Tumblr prompts) I haven’t posted there yet. I’ve been putting it off because I know I need to at least do some rewrite so those snippets feel more like an actual story (and also because I’m still struggling with the idea that anyone would be interested in reading it and leaving actual comments). So I might, one of those days - as soon as I’m back on my bullshit from my other bullshit :D

In the meantime, if you’re interested, here’s the first page or so from what immediately follows Elizabeth’s departure in Valse à Trois Temps :o)

Oxford, 26th December 1915

The train speeds away in a burst of steam, soot, and ear-splitting noise.

So, thinks a part of Jonathan’s soul that beat a hasty retreat and is now safe on the sidelines while the rest of him is getting the drubbing of his life, metaphorically speaking, that’s it.

That is what a broken heart feels like.

He and Tommy are standing on the platform in the middle of the moving crowd. Around them people are walking away, calling out to others, crying in handkerchiefs, beaming at each other. They’re so busy being people they aren’t taking any notice at all of the two young men in their midst trying to pick up the pieces of their hearts from the floor. Good. Now if only they could all bugger off and give Jonathan and Tommy privacy to grieve in peace.

They loved Elizabeth, and Elizabeth loved them.

And Elizabeth is gone.

“For I know that it may be a long, long time,” sings Tommy beside him in a thin, trembling voice that doesn’t sound like him at all and makes Jonathan think he’s barely aware of what he’s doing, “till I see you again…”

“Don’t,” says Jonathan somehow, despite how difficult pushing out the words is right now.

That song used to make him smile. He’s not smiling now.

Too late. The melody has already insinuated itself into his brain and helpfully provided him with the chorus:

So fare thee well, my own true love,

For when I return, united we will be

It’s not the leaving of Liverpool that grieves me,

But my darling when I think of thee…

Is it how it’s going to be, now, every time he thinks of her? Those people who have written about broken hearts, their own or fictional characters’, do they all carry their own equivalent of standing on a station platform in weak winter sunshine, staring after a train long departed, trying to stop feeling like somebody just drove a knife into their insides and twisted?

Jonathan used to think – when he was a boy, when he grew up a bit – that this ‘broken heart’ thing sounded awfully silly. Who wants to spend their life moaning after someone else when there is so much to do, so many people to meet, so many potential distractions? What sort of attachment other than familial could possibly be so powerful, so visceral as to justify pining for someone who can no longer be there for this or that reason?

Well, you live and learn, Jonathan decides as the cold makes his eyes sting and his nose run. Probably. That’s the story he’s going with if anyone looks him askance, anyway.

There’s a similar sniff beside him. Tommy’s eyes are overbright and he looks like he’s just been punched hard in the stomach. Even if they didn’t share the exact same sensation of having the contents of their ribcages ripped out for all to see, even if was only Tommy standing there on the verge of tears – Tommy Ferguson, one of the brightest souls Jonathan has known, a bloke otherwise capable of seeing the glass half-full even where there is barely a glass at all – Jonathan’s first instinct would be to put an arm around his shoulders, to take his hand, to provide any sort of physical comfort possible.

Sod it. They still have a flat where they can drop any pretence at being ‘normal’. They can lick their wounds in peace there for the few hours until their own trains home depart.

And because Tommy’s still sniffling, his breath rattling up in the cold air, and Jonathan has to bite his own lower lip to keep it steady –

(He may not be much of a man by the Empire’s standards but he’ll be damned if he lets himself cry in public like some snot-nosed brat who hasn’t even broken his first short trousers in yet)

– he takes Tommy’s arm in his and all but marches him out of the station to where they left their bicycles.

(oh children. It gets better 💜)
