I legit don’t understand what’s wrong with Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka look…
In short: hr montrals and lekku are way too short for her age, and they aren’t even fitted to hide her ears, “growing” from behind her headband that is hiding the ears in a really lazy way.
Also her make up, it looks like obvious body paint, sharply drawn, nowhere near what natural skin pigmentation would look like irl, in shape or texture.
It’s all just very lazy and not as alien or visually ambitious as it should be. They push live action as this supposedly superior medium (it isn’t, it’s just different), but don’t even utilize its potential to bring fantastical into reality to the fullest, instead they just.. make everything duller and more mundane.

"Do you miss it? The Order?" "I miss... the idea of it. But not the truth, the weakness. There was no future there." OKAY, THIS MAN MISSES THE ORDER SOOOOOOOOOOO BAD IT MAKES HIM LOOK STUPID
I'm serious. He's carrying the husk of his long-ossified grief so obviously. It is evident in everything he does and says that he was a young knight absolutely ripped to shreds by Order 66 and its lonely, dark aftermath. He allowed despair to be his comfort, convincing himself there's nothing to mourn because it's easier than dealing with the loss.

for better or for worse origins and da2 let you make your political choices and stick to it. inquisition is so offensively milquetoast centrist liberal (derogatory) that its frustrating to play. even when u side with the mages ppl are pro-templar. its like 60% of the templars are running around taking red lyrium so they can kill more mages more violently and 20% joined the centrist ass inquisition bc it still gave them a position of power and the remaining 20% are still fucking oppressing mages that somehow want to be in the circle. theres no way to play a pro mage character and stick to your choices. you can be playing a mage and half the dialogue options about mages are about how magic is evil and dangerous something i THOUGHT we addressed in the first two games already. but no lets make one of the mages anti-mage lets make the elven mage anti-dalish (and the other elf anti-elf too) and lets make the third mage the son of a goddamn magister. because heaven forbid ANY CHARACTER have sympathy and want justice for a marginalized group of people that’s been hunted down and locked up for the crime of existing for most of the world’s known history.
and like when all the npcs like “yayyy the inquisition is great its making the real changes around here” but the inquisition is a military force that spends much of its time and manpower killing random ppl and literally taking over huge swathes of the countryside. and influences foreign politics. the chantry condemns the inquisition for being too friendly with mages while cassandra and cullen are functionally templars. and forces an elven mage to become an andrastian figurehead. like make it make sense. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE

thinking thoughts abt how a majority of companions (and people) in dai see inky as something sent from andraste [god], a holy relic, a symbol of hope and light. and altho those, in theory, are good things, inky is no longer a person
inky can no longer make friends or lovers without being seen as something more, of something to worship or look on with reverence
to be disassociated with your own mortality, and your near death spurring your holiness, the impossibility of your survival being the thing that bathes you in the light of their god that you don't even believe in

AND NOTHING ABOUT THE OLD GOD BABY RITUAL????????? BE SO FR. i don’t anticipate any origins decisions being imported but just asking “did morrigan bring her son to skyhold?” is literally a huge plot point IN INQUISITION it’s a MAIN QUEST. you’re literally telling me I’m going to be having a conversation in veilguard with morrigan and there will be no mention of her son???? who she brings with her EVERYWHERE???? who she will do anything for???? we just set up “i am many things but i will not be the mother you were to me” and then next time we see morrigan none of it matters??????? don’t try me BioWare u had just won me over again

I understand the concept of "[Faction] is pissed off at Rook for whatever reason, so they are sent away" I do not understand why they're sent away with Varric Tethras to go hunt for the Dreadwolf. Maybe the Veil Jumpers would be interested in that, but why would the other factions? Sorry, it needs more of a hook.

You know, as much as people complain about the limiting RPG choices in Inquisiton, I think it lends itself well to the story of inquisiton.
In Origins and 2, your character is just. Someone. They aren't really any one of note until the end of the game. Any poor, shitty moral choices made by Hawke and the Hero are done away from prying eyes. Killing Leliana, selling Fenris, none of these really immoral choices are seen by those outside your companions.
Inquisiton however, is very VERY different in this regard. The Inquisitor constantly has eyes on them; from the moment they awoke in Haven, they were someone who had an image to uphold. They are kept in check by the fact that they aren't the only one making decisions. Cullen, Leliana, Morrigan, Cassandra, they all have some kind of pull with the Inquisiton. In some regard, they have to align with their advisors, lest they risk loosing their support. It's not the protagonist alone, like it was in Origins and 2, but is instead a protagonist being a figure head to an organization, and idea that is bigger than them
While there are somewhat shitty choices in Inquisiton, I can't think of any that really scream 'pure evil', like some of the choices in Origins and 2 do. And I think it makes sense in this game, just based on who your character has to be to fit the narrative. It makes sense why you can't really kill any of your companions for no good reason, since that would reflect very poorly on the inquisiton. And while I do agree that this can be annoying for people who really wanna roleplay an evil little guy, idk I think it fits the story of inquisiton best. Sure, they could have made it to where you can make the inquisiton feared instead of respected, a name whispered in terror instead of awe, but idk, I guess they needed the inquisiton to be seen as "good". Anyways, I still do wish there were more rp options but it's interesting

I do find the, well maybe not historical revisionism, but perhaps profoundly misremembering and or just changes in tastes that has gone down when it comes to Zevran and dragon age: origins to be quite interesting, like now that he’s very openly being compared to the newest hotness of Astarion, people talk about him as if he is/was the most popular because people love broody elves (even though Zev is the farthest from broody in his demeanor, and which kinda go hand in hand with people comparing him to Fenris, which isn’t new mind mind you, but it was fucking rare I saw anyone make that comparison 9 years ago) but I was there mind you, I was there 8-9 years ago. I remember clearly Zevran being the least popular romance option in origins when it came to the fandom.
