HUNTER:

Already knew because of his enhanced senses.

He could probably feel all the changes your body was going through.

He's really happy to see you happy.

Kinda protective over you throughout the entire 9 months.

Like yeah he knows you can protect yourself since you've fought alongside his brothers but he can't help but become just a tad bit protective.

When the kid grows up, he's probably going to teach them how to hear noises by concentrating (even though it's not as good as his enhanced senses).

One time he lost his vibroblade and found your kid with it.

You almost killed Hunter when that happened.

Overall, he's a good uncle and a very nice friend when he's around the kid.

ECHO:

Actually surprised when you told him you were pregnant.

Like Hunter, he became slightly protective of you.

A bit reluctant when you introduced your significant other.

But if you trust them he trusts them too.

Best. Uncle. Ever.

Lets your kid play with his scomp link.

Echo is the type of uncle to tell your kids his story. From the Domino squad to him joining the Bad Batch to him joining the Rebellion.

Probably plays pirates with your kid because they told Echo he looked like a pirate because of his hand.

Overall: a cool uncle, probably a bit grumpy, but still a cool uncle.

WRECKER:

Super excited to have a mini-you running around Pabu.

When you actually told him he did not understand.

However, after a session of Tech's-info-dump, he got the idea.

I have a headcanon that he is a very nice uncle.

He will hide every single object from war so that the baby doesn't accidentally hurt themselves.

Actually tried to learn how to cook to make your kid Mantell mix. Spoiler: it goes wrong.

Will make shenanigans with your kid.

Overall, Wrecker is probably the most chaotic uncle of the entire galaxy.

TECH:

"Oh. Well, congratulations." Were his only words.

He is probably the least surprised out of the entire Batch.

Reminds you to take care of yourself.

Definitely keeps track of EVERYTHING.

He really cares for your safety and the safety of your kid.

Of course, he'd definitely be a good uncle.

I think Tech would be the uncle that-knows-it-all since he really is a walking Wookiepedia man.

Whenever he is alone with the kid, he will RAMBLE. Even though the kid will not understand, he will ramble until he needs to catch some air.

Overall: Human dictionary uncle (I love him for that)

CROSSHAIR:

Will act pissed, but he's actually proud that you made a life for yourself after everything you went through.

Not surprised at all when you told him. He just shrugged.

And then he joked about it saying that 'If he couldn't handle you, he couldn't handle a mini, more hyperactive version of you'.

He learnt how to sew to fix Wrecker's tooka bear and give it to your kid.

You will find it endearing but he will deny it nonetheless because he does not like people seeing his sweet-side.

He's surprisingly good at calming the kid down for some reason you can't really figure out.

Not really protective because he knows you can take care of yourself. But, that doesn't mean he won't keep an eye on you some days.

When the kid grows up, he will NOT show them his rifles because he knows the risks and he knows that you will probably kill him for showing weapons at a six year-old.

Overall: he's the type of uncle that will disappear for ten months and then come back and act like nothing happened. But he's still a nice uncle.

TBB Season 2 Retrospective

Season 2 of TBB is my favorite season for sure. I love all the character moments we get such as the conversation between Tech and Omega. It's why I love this show because at its best, TBB really tackles some mature topics. Although the Batch mainly do missions for Cid, I think it foreshadows season 3's ending really well in retrospect.

"Tribe" might be a fun adventure with Gungi, but on a deeper level, it's about Hunter realizing that what Omega needs is a true home and stability. It's the first instance in S2 where Hunter gets a look into domestic life. Phee as a character serves many purposes. She's an ally to the Batch and takes them on adventures. However, she also challenges Hunter's soldier lifestyle for Omega. Phee comments that Omega needs people her own age and stability, something that none of the Batch understand due to their upbringing. "Tribe" and Phee, along with some moments from S1, do a great job setting up Pabu.

Pabu is an ideal place for the Batch to live and raise Omega: it's hidden, beautiful, and welcoming to all. With all the signs encouraging Hunter to settle, Pabu is perfect. On a side note though, I do feel that the conflict in the episode "Pabu" was a bit contrived. Personally, I don't think we needed a tsunami for drama. I was perfectly content just watching the Batch relax.

S2, like S1, also does a great job of balancing the Empire's machinations with the Batch's shenanigans. "Metamorphosis" not only serves as a Batch mission for Cid, but also the introduction of Hemlock and the return of the Zillo. It develops both stories in a natural way which made for a phenomenal episode. The two-parter "The Clone Conspiracy" and "Truth and Consequences" equally shows the Empire's decommissioning of the clones, introduces the CX troopers, and what motivates Echo to leave. This is why I love TBB. We get a glimpse into how the imperials caused such chaos and created the Stormtroopers. Btw, I think the show handled the transition from Rampart to Hemlock really well. Both storylines were set up and interwoven with each other, which allowed the one villain to rise and the other to fall.

The notion that the Batch should settle is a major arc for Hunter and Omega this season. Hunter really begins to consider Pabu as a new home, especially because he wants to keep Omega safe. The more he sees the growing unrest, the more he reaffirms the decision in his mind. Clones have never settled down before and it's a new life for Hunter. He always wants to do right for his family and protect them. That's what leaders do. Even Wrecker slowly comes around to that idea and leans a lot on Hunter for decision making.

Omega gains a lot of new perspectives in S2 and I really loved that. She learns that things aren't what they always appear and that change is a part of life. This takes form in many ways, like when Romar showed her the kaleidoscope. Tech is another great example. He might not outwardly show his emotions the way she does, but his heart burns brightly for his family. And like Hunter, Omega begins to realize that having a home like Pabu isn't such a bad idea. She could grow up safely and make friends her age.

As for Echo, I realized that S1 does hint at his choice to leave in S2. His decision makes a lot of sense given his strong sense of justice and camaraderie with Rex. He's always been about helping others. This man has such a beautiful soul.

I think Crosshair is self-explanatory. Only three episodes and I perfectly understood what he did and why he did things. His humanity could no longer take being abused the way it was. He knew where his heart truly lied and he made his choice. S1 established his attachment to the Batch wasn't gone. But he wasn't ready to fully see the truth just yet.

Tech. Beautiful, smart, brave Tech. How much I miss you. S2 did so much giving him depth and maturity. They easily could've kept him as the stereotypical nerd who has great dry humor. But they chose to take a more thoughtful route. Like Omega, Tech learns to see things from a different perspective and it helps him grow as a person. It's those little moments that mean so much. I wish we could spend more time with him because Tech has so much to share with us and S2 highlights that perfectly.

AND TECH GOT THE GIRL (kinda but yall know what I mean). They could've chosen Hunter, the objectively attractive one, but I'm so glad they chose Tech. Look guys, I'm not a girl who goes out and buys all those trendy clothes or wears lots of makeup. So, it meant a lot that Tech was able to win over someone's affections. And kudos to Phee for always being understanding and loving Tech and his awkwardness.

I do have some other thoughts on Tech I will make a separate post on because it's something I really thought about on this rewatch.

S2 has beautiful music and animation on top of some stellar storytelling. "Mayday" will always be my personal favorite and "The Outpost" is always going to be my favorite episode. It means to much to me.

Overall, the best season imo. I love S3, but it has pacing issues, and S1 just makes me sad.

Headcanon A:  realistic:

Absolutely does the dumbest things for the scoop. Nora has every right to be worried because her lil sis is a dumbass,

Her website is so freaking legit (She gets interviewed by legit news sites, like come on!) She has bios, dates, damages, and ongoing information about akuma attacks. She’s building up profiles on Ladybug, Chat Noir, Hawkmoth, and the other superheroes. People are shocked to learn there’s not a whole team behind it but just one very dedicated teenager. She’s going for the Pulitzer Prize.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

So she’s a comic book fan right. She’s as nerdy as they come. She cosplays  (thank goodness for a genius designer friend) and goes to all the cons (thank goodness for a rich friend). She buys all the limited editions. She does fundraisers for kids. And anyone who is a jerk or gives her a hard time for being a girl/kid is gonna get  punched in the face (Thank goodness for a boyfriends who restrain her and then, upon failing, covers for her ass so that she doesn’t get kicked out or grounded).

She loves movies, she loves running outside and exercising, she loves pastries, she loves doing her nails and posting fun videos!

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

She misses Martinique so much. She loves Paris and her friends there but it’s just not the same. The warm weather, the friendliness, the dialect,  her extended family. They moved because of Nora and her dad and mom’s jobs, but ugh whenever she Skypes back home, it hurts so much.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

She and Trixx have a complicated relationship because she’s all about the truth and Trixx is all about the illusions. It takes her a while to get it right and a while to see how clever Trixx is with their words and manipulation. She wanted to ask Ladybug for another miraculous, but learned that she was able to see things in shades of gray rather than black and white because of Trixx and that makes her a smarter journalist

Mako (MAKO, MY BABY!!!) 

Headcanon A:  realistic: 

He’s a little nerd. He always wanted an education and could never get it growing up. So he’s patient, he reads, he studies, he’s a fast learner. Lin Beifong is very proud of him; Tenzin wishes he could switch him and Korra out sometimes.

He’s always going to be the dad friend, always looking out for everyone’s wellbeing  (no matter how bad he is at it), always providing and taking care of the others. He carries photos of his friends(+ferret) in his wallet and shows them to everyone whether they asked or not. He’s uptight and falls alseep in movies and makes bad jokes. He’s an Ultimate Dad

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Now that’s he’s a cop, he loves to treat his friends. Getting them into the secure events, joyriding, treating them to dinner.

He and Asami love to race each other. He’s usually super uptight and worried, but when he’s relaxed, he and Asami have so much fun testing out new Satomobiles. Bolin always referees. Korra used to race too but she’s been banned because she uses her Avatar powers to win. So she just gets to joyride when the others are taking a break.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

It took him a long time to get used to his firebending. He had started training with his mother but after their murders he became too terrified to firebend. It was only when he learned that he could be a probender that he began to learn his powers for real

Learning lightning was the hardest and scariest thing he’s ever had to do. He had to have so much peace and patience, and he just wasn’t there yet. Their probender mentor taught him the skills but he was still so full of rage and grief. It was only on one afternoon hanging out with Bolin and Pabu that he realized there was still  hope and happiness to look forward to. His parents wouldn’t want him to be stuck like this. Fire was ambition. And his ambition was fueled by his love for his brother. He would do anything for Bolin. He took Bolin outside and for the first time he bent lightning. Bolin and Pabu smothered him in hugs and they got his favorite noodles that night.

Make FireFerrets still a thing. I can’t believe we only got one season of the awesomeness that is probending (and all the complicated implications). I wanted Fire Ferrets to last at least for a few more tournaments and have them winning and them being able to use the money to set the brothers up comfortably and for Korra to be able to live a little more independently.

Mack (who literally deserves the world and I will fight you on this) 

Headcanon A:  realistic:

Learned his love of mechanics from his father. He continues to work as a mechanic on the side even as director, as relaxation and to remind him of his family

He also is the only one who is actively learning the traditional SHIELD training protocol for becoming a spy, i.e. learning languages and such. He’s slow at the languages (#Turtleman) but he’s much farther along than anyone else.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Hosts massive video game tournaments online and is a legend in the gaming community. Also, and absolutely is a gentlemen online. Harassment? Pedophilia? Foul or sexual talk? Mack is coming after you and he will destroy you. Only good people allowed. Newcomers and minority groups worship him for this because he makes everyone feel safe and included 

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

He wishes he really did quit SHIELD and went back to just being a mechanic. Everyone likes to tease him about wanting to quit, but he is genuinely so heartbroken over seeing so many friends die or disappear. He has nightmares about the day SHIELD fell. He stayed because he was capable of doing something to help and it was the right thing to do. But selfishly, he wants peace in his life. He wants happiness and normalcy. He doesn’t want nightmares of losing his friends, his love, his daughter

He meets up with Bobbi and Hunter all the time. Facetimes them. Plays betting pools with them. Gets drunk. They’re friends for life and F anyone who gets in the way. Honestly he gets a hoot out of their shenanigans and they need him to keep them sane. Also they love Yoyo; half the time they call Mack its because they want to talk to her.

Simmons! Wow, apparently I had a lot headcanons for her. What a good murder child :)

Headcanon A:  realistic:

She doesn’t have a freaking MD, so she’s taken accelerated courses in her spare time in order to be able to pull off surgeries and cleanings and whatnot

She’s the leading expert in Inhuman biology. She’s constantly being consulted but also will sometimes make up crap to get the government  off of SHIELD’s back

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

After Daisy, she’s easily the most dangerous of the group. Not because she can fight (because she’s only moderate at fighting), but because she has no mercy. She will leave you for dead on the operating table. She will fire your ass. She will throw a bomb at you and syringe you full of poison. She might even shoot you, and she will sacrifice herself when necessary. Simmons believes she knows what’s right and wrong and she’s learned to take matters into her own hands, everything else be damned.  

She and Fitz finally get their cozy apartment with the breakfast nook. Everyone visits for brunch on the weekends (Daisy visits for breakfast everyday) and Fitz cooks while she studies because she’s a morning person and it’s a get-up-at-6-workout-study-breakfast routine. She has a study just for herself that’s just full of biochemistry and Inhuman biology stuff. It’s a cutesy English-Scottish apartment (she and Fitz had many rows about how to decorate, more Scottish or more English, and they finally decided on half and half). 

She plans all the movie nights and bakes cookies and family dinner. She has weekly late night talks with Daisy, sitting under the covers of Daisy’s bed. She has frequent date nights with Fitz which ends with lovingly bickering while one’s brushing teeth and the other’s showering for bed. She loves to ramble on about her science to anyone who will listen and Mack loves to listen the most because he just doesn’t like to talk much and it turns out they love the same punk rock music so they just hang out and she gets to talk. 

Coulson and May have definitely become her adoptive parents because her family doesn’t know half of the stuff that has happened to her (she could tell them but she doesn’t want them to worry about her.) Coulson gives great hugs and tells her take a break. May gives her a drink and lets her vent. And when Elena and Deke join, she’s does the same for them and passes on the love she received. 

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Even before she joined Coulson’s team, her family was disappointed in her. Ever since the Academy, they had no idea what she does or what she’s done since. She loves her parents and siblings but she feels so damn distant. She’s like a ghost who only comes for Christmas. Just one of her brothers knows what’s really going on with her and when he first found out, he didn’t speak to her for months.

She’s just been through so much that she’s terrifed of being alone. Going undercover, being stranded on an alien planet, being a servant, losing Fitz (she really needs therapy omg), that she’s just scared to be a alone. She’s English, so she doesn’t usually do visible signs of affection. But after everything she’s been through, she stands a little closer to people, she holds onto whosever arm is nearest, she plays with hair and cuddles and reaches for anyone’s hand just to know her SHIELD family, her true family, is still around. And when they’re not: She still carries around a shiv.

How about she gets therapy? How about she calls out Fitz for some of his crap because they both know that its healthy to be honest with each other? How about she gets her own storylines where she continues to do science and learn inhuman biology and help others because that’s who she is and that doesn’t make her weak or uninteresting *microphone drop*

Pertaining to growth, these are the things Bolin has to/can work on/experience in order to develop: conversational timing, mood detection, mental restraint, appropriate channeling of emotion, fraud detection, impulsiveness, teamwork, stability in confidence, moral ambiguity, loss in battle, AND MANY MORE.

How do you imagine Korrasami's wedding?

Oh man, I just noticed this this inbox! And it’s such an awesomequestion too!

Honestly, I don’t have one definitive image of what a Korrasami wedding wouldlook like. I’ve read some headcanons that I REALLY love and others that I wouldrather not happen.

Iimagine that the two of them would prefer a smaller gathering with close friendsand family. It would lead to a far more personal and intimate environment fortwo of them; Korra and Asami sharing the most important day of their lives their family and friends. However, I think this would be a bit tricky for them to pulloff, seeing as how we’ve got the CEO of a very prestigious company marrying Korra,the Avatar (and well, I think her importance is obvious enough that I don’t have to writeit out :p)

There would probably be a bit of a political connotation attachedto their wedding along with MANY news coverings on each and every aspect from the lead-up, to the ceremony, to the honeymoon and everything/anything else inbetween (much to the dismay of our two ladies).

Due to this, I imagine that theywould potentially hold two weddings. One where they can get all of the newsshenanigans out of the way and another along the lines of what I mentioned before - anintimate reception with their loved ones.

I’m not sure where I would like tosee the wedding take place, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at AirTemple Island or the Spirit World (which would kinda be appropriate too since theyboth had their first, big romantic getaway there).

I’ve seen a lot of debate about who would officiate the wedding –some say Bolin due to his role in Varrick’s wedding, other people say Iroh or Tenzin. I honestly don’t have any objects to any of these characterstaking the role, but the one that’s grown on me a quite a bit is Katara.

There justseems to be something really fitting about it – if perhaps a little emotional, seeingas how she’s the widow of Korra’s predecessor, Aang. I know we haven’t seenmuch of her in TLOK, but from little snippet’s we’ve witnessed, Katara has alwaysbeen a champion of Korra – believing in Korra’s strength after the firebendingtest, understanding Korra’s need to journey out to Republic City and be in thereal world, attempting to restore Korra’s bending after the equalist revolutionas well as being one of Korra’s caretakers during her downfall after Zaheer. Katarahas always wanted Korra to thrive, to be happy, to succeed and to just live her life. One exchangebetween these two that has always been stuck on my mind is:

        “And…what am I going to find if I… get through this?” ~ Korra

        “I don’t know. But won’t it be interesting tofind out?” ~ Katara (B4:E2)

I’ve already written a long analysis about how Korra fought her way out of the dark and found inner peace. But she also found love; true, organic and meaningful love with Asami. Katara is someone that found a similar love with Aang and… I don’t know, I just feel like she would possibly want to help Korra and Asami celebrate this wonderful feeling (sorry for the long-winded focus on this topic, let’s move on).

Hmm, what else… I also kinda like the idea of Tonraq walking Asamidown the isle, ESPECIALLY since she lost her own father. I have a bit of aheadcanon that Tonraq and Asami would get along immediately – almost to thepoint of where they become “best friends” (for a lack of a better term),bonding over teasing/loving Korra as well as having silly inside jokes – I blame @weissrose and his amazing series SeekingBalance for this. But yeah, I definitely think Tonraq (as well as Senna,obviously) would quickly accept Asami as one of his own; a member of the Water Tribe and a daughter. I imagine that Asami would also feel a little emotionalover having Tonraq walking her as she finally got one of the things she alwayswanted – a family. But who knows… Maybe he’ll walk both of his girls down theisle, or maybe Asami will be the one waiting as she watches the love of her lifewalk towards her in down the isle in her beautiful dress.

Speaking of dresses, I definitely see Korra sporting a beautiful,traditional Water Tribe dress while Asami wears either an elegant red dress ora white one with red accents (maybesomething along the lines of this or this?). I know some people like Korra in a suit/vest, but we’ve seen her constantly wear dresses at important events. I also think their decorations and drapes would consist of reds and blues alongwith blends of purple to represent the unity of these two beautiful ladies (cliché,I know…).

I think lots of tears will be shed during each other’s vows (though I’m sure that tears of happiness will begin once they first lay their eyes on each other on the isle). In that moment, it will just be the two of them and no one else. I wouldn’t be surprised if the three year separation between Book 3 and Book 4 was brought up during the vows. It was a painful period for them, one where they spent more time apart than with each other, but it was also a time where they had the chance to really miss each other, analyze their feelings and grow to understand that “yes, the reason why I miss her so much is because she means the absolute world to me.” I think Janet Varney put this very beautifully here. During this time of their wedding, they once again get to promise that will never leave each other’s backs ever again.

Other little things that I would love to see in a Korrasami wedding include:

~ Bolin bursting out in loud tears once Korra and Asami join each other at the end of the isle to begin the wedding ceremony

~ Pabu being the ring bearer

~ Korra attempting to dip Asami when they go in for the big kiss, but Asami beats Korra to the punch AND lifts her up bridal-style

~ Speeches from Tenzin, Pema and the Krew - Mako can’t help but mention how the two ladies he once dated ended up very much in love with each other…

~ Tahno and his band playing jazzy music

~ Korra and Asami absolutely stealing the show with their first dance. Even after other couples join in, all eyes are on the two of them. Not that Korra and Asami notice; they are far too intent on each other and the emotion of finally being married that nothing else matters. They also totally show everyone up during fast dances as well…

~ Tonraq and Senna dancing with Korra and Asami

~ Tenzin dancing with Korra and Asami

~ THE KREW ALL DANCING WITH EACH OTHER

~ Korra and Asami cut their first piece of cake and feed each other, but it quickly escalates into a food fight due to Korra and her mischief - not everything can be picture perfect, you know…

~ Korra and Asami both throw their flower bouquets and Jinora, Ikki, Opal and Meelo quickly try to catch them in mid-air with their bending… it ends a human pile with flat flowers

~ Tenzin and Korra have another little heart-to-heart conversation with each other about how proud and happy he is for her and Asami

~ Naga whisking the two ladies away on her back (though this may be a little awkward if they are situated on Air Temple Island - though I guess Korra can form one of those cool water bubble things around them if they choose to leave via the ocean rather of waiting for a ferry)

And I’m sure there are lots of other things that I like but didn’t put in. I’m really curious as to what you all would like for a Korrasami wedding. If you have anything to add, please do! At the end of the day, what really matters is that our two ladies will be together and in love for the rest of their lives.

Air: “The Aftermath”

I love when shows recycle old running gags; in fact, the cabbage man was a personal favorite.

Book I, Chapter 7′s got a lame title and a pretty lame plot to match.

Sorry for hatin’, but they just look so silly! They’re not menacing at all, and they have no business in the Avatar-Korra universe whatsoever.

The Satos

In a way, I was both right and wrong.

Asami’s arc does involve technology, but that seems to be a byproduct of being Hiroshi’s daughter. As it turns out, Hiroshi’s role is the one that expands, as he is revealed to be working with Amon and the Equalists. 

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t surprised, but I found his reveal to be a bit... lame? Convenient? I didn’t feel the impact of it, that’s for sure... 

I wonder if they could’ve developed Hiroshi’s character a little more, detailed his back story a little more? 

For example, the reason he joined the Equalists was because a firebending triad “took away [Asami’s] mother, the love of [his] life.” Expanding on this could’ve done wonders for Hiroshi’s arc. I know Asami tells Mako that she lost her mother in Chapter 4; however, at the time, sharing this seemed to be a way of connecting Asami and Mako as potential love interests, nothing more. Then, in the second act of this episode, Tenzin is the one who tells us about the Agni Kai Triad robbery and murder, not Hiroshi. In fact, Hiroshi doesn’t explain his motive until the third act, but by then it’s already old news.

Up until now, I’d written Hiroshi off as an inconsequential background character, which is probably why his reveal fell so flat. That may have been my mistake, but there were merits for it. 

And y’all already know how I feel about Asami’s lack of character development.

Unfortunately, her big moment---will she join her father?---was pretty predictable.

While I’m compelled to see how this decision will affect Asami, I think it could’ve been super interesting if she’d joined forced with Hiroshi. Frustrating, sure, but thought-provoking: why’d she do it? What’s her motive?

Perhaps she would come to regret her decision and then have to make amends to Korra, Mako, and Bolin (not to rip off Zuko’s storyline or anything). Or maybe she went along with her dad hoping to convince him otherwise? And when that plan fell through, maybe she could’ve acted as an inside mole or something? Or for all we know, she could’ve stepped wholeheartedly into the dark side and never looked back.

I don’t know---something! Something other than what the creators have reduced her down to so far. She’s got so much potential, you see.

Tell me she doesn’t look like the best baddie there ever was:

(Just pretend that’s not her Dad and Amon’s henchman she’s electrocuting.) 

I’m telling you: there was something there. 

Korra, Asami, and Their Idiot

I’m glad that Korra and Asami were (briefly) getting along in this episode; or rather, I’m glad Korra finally gave Asami a chance.

I strongly loathe female animosity, especially when it’s over something as trivial as a boy.

And especially when that boy is so. friggin. frustrating!!

Tell me, Mako. 

Why is it that when Korra accuses Asami’s father of conspiring with the Equalists you automatically assume she’s just jealous of you and Asami? 

You fool, can’t you see there are more important matters at stake? 

Tsk.

At least you have the grace to look ashamed when Korra proves your ass wrong.

I’m sorry for stomping so hard on the romance plots. They’re just so poorly written!

If it makes you feel any better, I was never crazy about the romantic stuff in A:TLA either. Aside from Suki and Sokka, I never really cared for anyone else’s relationships. 

In fact, I often enjoy poking fun at the different ships on A:TLA, much like this video does.

The Avatar, The Master, and the Badass

This is the team up I’ve been waiting for!

Can’t you just see Lin and Tenzin as, like, chaperones on a field trip?

And Korra’s that one kid they keep putting in time out because she’s being a lil shit, haha.

I loved how supportive Lin and Tenzin were of Korra. Even if she didn’t have explicit proof of Hiroshi making weapons for the Equalists, they didn’t dismiss her. They were willing to investigate further and see through Korra’s hunch to the end, even if it meant putting Lin’s job on the line.

That’s why Badass Beifong is the MVP of this team:

Now that she’s planning to resign as Chief of Police, does this mean Lin’s going to get roped into more missions with Korra? Which means Tenzin’s going to tag along too, yes?

Parting Thoughts

Let me get this straight:

Korra still has feelings for Mako, but she pretty much gave him the “go” signal to devote all his attention to Asami, who just found out that her father’s been manufacturing weapons for Amon in a secret factory located beneath the Sato estate, all while Bolin was being well, Bolin?

Huh.

Well, with these four staying at Air Temple Island, at least they’ll be giving the Sato butler a much-needed day off:
