I hate games, actually. What do you mean this highly specific game I stumbled upon while browsing the switch eshop. that i have never heard of outside of right now. doesn't have a thriving and highly active tumblr fanbase >:(

I present you with a better character bingo made by me (ft a better way of giving me characters now that I have my asks open!!)
Btw I won't answer it if I don't know anything about the character or don't have enough to say

My Cozy Place- Paradise Marsh
Paradise is the most cozy game on the planet and I suggest everyone play it. Travel to a wonderous place to catch insects, toads and frogs and put the stars back in the sky. #Indie #Blog #ParadiseMarsh

Paradise Marsh was a lovely wander and collect game
0 notes
Day 551
After I finished playing Mineko Night Market, I decided to immediately jump into another game, because I was disappointed.
Which was why I decided to play Paradise Marsh, because I wanted to play a collecting game for a bit.
I have to admit, whatever I was expecting out of that game, wasn’t quite what I got. Not in a bad way. When I first saw this game come up on cozy games that would come out, it was described as an exploration and collecting game. Where you collect bugs and other creatures to help restore the constellations in the sky. Very cute, kind of magical, it was the thing I would play on a weekend.
What I wasn’t expecting was a gentle game talking about death, life, regrets, and moving on. That’s all that I’m going to write about that plot line because everything else would be spoilers.
Other than that, the game was completely what I expected out of a game in that genre. Exploration/toybox games like Paradise Marsh, Short Hike and Lil Gator Game are strange because they’re very hard to describe. They don’t have a fail state, and all they ask of you is to live in their world for a bit. These types of games tend to be full of secrets for players to discover if you’re willing to be a bit curious and not just follow the storyline to its ending.
I liked Paradise Marsh, didn’t like catching the tadpoles, and got horribly lost a few times but otherwise it was what I expected gamewise.

Anon asked if I could make this poll, so here we go! Very good poll, Anon, I'm glad to post it!
I recommend looking up what each game was about (or would have been about) before voting!
I mostly kept to what Anon wanted as the options, but I added the last two myself (with anon's permission) because it felt fitting considering the other games listed
For those who don't know, Eye of Argonia and Paradise Sugar were the canceled sequels to Redguard. They would have had Cyrus go on quests in Black Marsh and Elsweyr, respectively.

Fanart for my rendition of the player character in one of my new favorite games, Paradise Marsh!
Paradise Marsh was a short but very enjoyable experience that was so much more than I expected in the best way possible.
It took me an embarrassing amount of time to get the hang of catching things aktjsjt
For the first half of my gameplay, I relied very heavily on the bottled messages to give me some sort of context for my situation. At some point, I even thought that the person writing them was supposed to be me. I was very excited and hopeful for answers everytime I saw one.

in celebration of one of my sister's friends admiring my "gamer swag" (all the games i've played that are apparently obscure) i've decided arbitrarily to try to dredge up some obscure games to share with you all in case people are interested in that sort of thing. in terms of determining the obscurity of the game, i think i'm gonna go with less than 1000 reviews, and/or looking at all-time peak concurrent player stats in steam charts. whatever i feel like maybe. Also, if there are absolutely no guides on steam or the internet, then i guess that's for sure obscure.
also these are all games that i've finished. some of them i finished a long time ago so i may not remember much about like. quality. or how good they are. shrug. they're interesting though.
