ik quite a bit of people dont like/celebrate valentines day, which i get, but i personally love it. ik the argument is showing your appreciation/love for someone shouldnt be relegated to just one day, and that doing so takes the genuine bits away from it, and i totally agree, but the way i see it, valentines day is just another day to show your affection, for friends, partners, etc. and thats wonderful!

mini i love v day word vomit aside, i do think big mama and lou jitsu celebrate valentines day if only bc they are super lovey-dovey i feel, based off the few moments we see in the show pre-proposal, and the nicknames they use for each other as well. they are dorks in love, and that side is one that comes out a lot when theyre together. so yeah, i def think they celebrate

pre-proposal: date night that consists of dancing, dinner, and a movie at home. giftwise, i dont think theyd go all out, because they already do that like, in general. idk if build a bear exists but damnit, they build a bear. big mama gives lou flowers.

(lou takes her to museum on v day once when they're in some other country (france? italy? i know nothing abt art) and they both like this one painting. he doesnt know it, but big mama steals it later, and has it replaced with a fake. leo is sneaking around the hotel years later and accidentally finds it, not knowing its history)

post-propsal (canon compliant): well, i mean, its implied that they do date for a while even after the proposal. and the feelings are still there. as is the belief lou has that there is good in big mama. maybe the dates aren't the same as pre-proposal, but there is still dinner, walks in the hidden city, a movie at home, and slow dancing in the lounge. there is no museum, but there is a painting. and it lasts, for a while. but they argue; lou doesnt want to be her champion anymore, he doesnt want her to be his boss; he just wants to be hers and for her to be his. but they argue and he's in a cell and he thinks that all she wanted was a champion; she paces, tugging at her hair, because if he wont stay to fight, what else would he stay for? he doesnt understand what he's asking of her, he can't. he's human, wonderfully, brilliantly, human, and she is not. she is ageless, undying, she is Yokai, and he will be gone long before her--long before battle nexus. she can give up battle nexus but then what? he will die, of age, something that won't take her, and them what would she have? nothing but pain and heartache. lou will leave, battle nexus won't. and she is right. because the cell is empty and he's gone, and she thinks he's dead. her valentines day blur with the rest of them--she has her business, she has battle nexus, she has meetings and work. (she has lou jitsu movies, an empty side of the bed, a painting, and a ring) splinter has his memories, a new body he has to get used to, a life he wont ever get back, but all of that has to be pushed down because none of that matters, all that matters are his boys.

post-proposal au where she says yes and they get married and the boys still exist because of course they do, its not rottmnt without them: huh. i need to think about this. because how would it work? would the still have an argument? like. theyre talking about kids. lou does not want to raise them around battle nexus. it always always comes back to battle nexus. draxum and the turtles and lou's dna. he is a rat man now and he's got four boys and he is overwhelmed. OR. the turtle bros ARE big mama/lou jitsu's half human/half yokai children who have been experimented on. OR are we doing a happy family they get raised with both parents au type thing. SO MANY OPTIONS. i need to figure that out before i figure out the v day situation bc otherwise like, i think their v day situation would be a mix of the first two, in that theyre happy and in love and exploring the best of both worlds.

(also YEAH i love the cool colors/warm colors thing they got going on, like, individually its great and then theyre next to each other and i am like WOW, loving it)

also like, disclaimer. the half human/half yokai idea i first saw in a fic on ao3, and then a few posts on tumblr (i think i reblogged a few, not sure) but the idea is one that stuck with me like wow. its both genius and painful

there are plenty of fan theories out there that make me :/ but every time i have to see someone suggest that the durs/leys treated harry badly because he was a horcrux and they were affected by it it honestly makes me want to cry like do you even realize what youre suggesting with that. “there is something innately evil in this child, which cannot be removed, that makes us so miserable we need to punish him for existing”… how many children get told by their parents that its THEIR fault we’re broke, your father and i divorced, we can’t go somewhere else, we’re always fighting, etc. and kids like that grow up feeling like theres something irrevocably wrong with them, something that makes them inherently unloveable. that makes the people they care about suffer, just for being near to them. right.

FG ESSENTIALS

France Angelo Capistrano and Golda Taldo the owner of FG essentials where they market basic essentials of a person (medicine, diaper, water, first aid kit and etc.) and on the side of their store you can see an ice cream freezer, the very popular ice cream stop of every children in Purok 6-A Poblacion Lagonglong Misamis Oriental.

Last year, during the pandemic the couple decided to occupy the vacant room in a little commercial building and come up with the idea of having a store in regards of selling medicine since they noticed that that is whats the baranggay is lacking.

A first its an uphill battle for them especially the fact that they were selling medicine, its hard for the citizens to trust someone new with their health but along the way they proved themseleves and people have trusted them completely that led them to continue their business fair and stable. In exchange they never break the peoples trust.

MARWIN STORE

A sari-sari store started by both of his parents and continued serving the people by selling different goods. From the food people ate till the food people fed there animals. The store isnt really that big before when both his parents managed it but when Marwin managed it he said to himself that she shouldnt stop himself from selling just foods and soaps so he added and added, and years after years he almost sell everything. He even market school supplies

The hustle of the tussle:

In the year 2019, in the middle of the night where all people in Purok 6-A Poblacion Lagonglong are peacefully sleeping an enormous fire came out of nowhere. All the people were in the state of shock seeing th fire ate over twenty houses and stores combined and one of that is Marwin's.

How did the businessman cope up with the accident? His statement says:

"I cant do anything to save both my store and house so what I did was just watch it from afar and think on where to start again. I was devastated yes but if I will mourn like what others did would it change anything? No. Would it feed my family? No. So I did what a father and a son should do. I loaned a fair amount of monet like what I did before and builded my store again like how it was before. People know me already coz I have been in this business for years already and starting all over again isnt that much of a problem"

HEARING THE STRUGGLES THEY HAVE TO FIGHT WITH IN ORDER TO REACH THEIR DREAMS BROUGHT DIFFERENT IMPACT INSIDE US...

It inspired us tocontinue believing ourselves despite the big waves the ocean gives.

Upon hearing the hustles they have exerted in order to fight the antagonist of their story it encourage us to exert more and do more.

Stimulated that little technopreneur inside our hearts to let it grow and release the potential that was hiding all along.

Arouses the interest to learn more in prder to gain more.

A court of silver flames plot rewrite

Plot doctor. SPOILERS!!!

ok so i really dislike the latest ACOTAR book, it really undercut the illyrians as cool warriors and the achievements of rhys, cas and azriel for reaching the mountain. Really 3 people whos trained for a year is alot better than people whos trained their whole life?? it also really ignored Nestas actuall skillset and seemed to try and make her feyre 2.0. in this feyre is also very much not pregnant. that whole plotline deserves its own book and since they said they wanted to wait i think it can happen 50 years into the future or something rather than the immidiate next book from the one saying they wanted to wait. also no attempted rape tacked on plot or 3 objects everyone just forgot about. if i was to do a rewrite of the plot beats and settings of the book it would go something like this:

we move it so nesta actually moves to the illyrian camp full time for her intervention. with how the human society is structured this fits her better than velaris with the more strict and defined gender roles, we can explore here how in a way she is quite alike to illyrians. cassian is frustrated that she is not on his side when it comes to training women. we see flashbacks of her life and how it was beaten into her by her parents and everyone around her that it was mens job to care for women and it was horrible and unsightly if a woman tried to do anything on her own or push to hard for something with physical force.

she helps with the womens chores but are also confronted with the ones who want more out of life and they ask her why she thinks why shouldnt they be allowed. not all women will suddenly be trained, just the ones who want to. she comes around. she makes friends with the female shop keeper, she really likes the idea of being in control of making and having her own money. flashback to the cottage, her frustration with her father for not fulfillinf the role of provider and leader he was "supposed to" and her not being able to bring herlsef to chop the wood because it will ruin her hands, hands she was told to take care of because it was a sign she was a lady. her admiration for feyre for bringing them food but that first instinct to shun her for not being feminine or adhering to her role is very strong. she doesnt know how to handle it.

life in camp settles into a routine a bit, she sees cassian caring for his people and being a gentle person, she finds this very admirable and thirts a bit. sexism being directed at her, now that shes settled in with the women well the other illyrians have started to regard her as "just another woman" she gets angry and it becomes a bigger spat. she gets some approving comment from the more outspoken women who wants to train. she asks cassian to show her some basic defense moves.

she sees a wing clipping when cassian is gone to inspect some other camt´p and she tries to intervene she cant do anything since shes too weak and illyrians are stone hard super warriors. she makes the bargain with Cassian this time its for protection if another spat happends and so through the bargain she could summon him.

the evil queen attacks the camp with autumn court soldiers. its a disaster and alot of people die. since it was made clear they were soley after nesta she gets blamed for the attack in the high emotions after when people find their loved ones dead. she cant stay in the camp any longer.

cassian and her leaves for the court of nightmares, meeting up with the gang and Eris to discuss whats happened.(before eris arrives it is tense between her and feyre, fyre tries to hug her after hearing what happened and nest cant stand to ahve someone be kind to her after feeling like shes to blame and shrugs her off) it is agreed since nesta is a mostly neutral person to the rest of the courts and the one most trained in court manners she will be the one to go with Eris back to the autumn court to investigate. cassian will come with her as her personal guard. as the queens sister it is not something off about that arrangement. to give a reason for her to visit the autumn court they decide to fake a romance between eris and nesta. same ballroom scene as in the book.

longer flashback of nestas life right before poverty, shes the ultimate mean girl and a social butterfly, switching masks to be different people to different artistocrats with ease. shes admired and she holds high society in her small lace gloved hand. they arrive in the autumn court. she gets a "low" faerie assigned to her as a handmaiden. she has a audience with Beron and his wife.

Eris is a much better mirror for nesta than cassian. he is the same as her in many regards, growing up in a strict role. missing a step in the social dance can mean death (symbolically for nesta growing up, real here). putting on an uncaring mask to not show how intensly you care is a big theme in this part. Eris and Nesta are great at playing "the game" toghether and cassian as her silent bodyguard grows to admire her slyness and how great an actress she is, manipulating the courtiers to giving information and making accurate conclusions from their clothes and manners ("we can pressure X person to do this, their clothes are a season old and they are doing their own hair because its messier in the back where they cant see it in the mirror, this means they cant afford a hand maid anymore. give them a bribe and they will do anythign" etc). she and eris starts growing a friendship of two people who see alot of themselves in eachther.

they are figuring out the evil queen, but some moves from the enemy doesnt make sense, theres a third player in this game they realise (death god lake dude). the trio have become comfortable with each other and are hanging out and putting together their intel and gossip. Nesta becomes friends with her handmaiden. this helps break down her elitist and class barriers in her head a bit. while feyre has her painting it is to messy for nesta when she tried it.  but shes always loved clothes (we can see a bit of it in the first book even), she starts putting her own touch on dresses throughout the book and starts designing her own even. we can see how many in the court she has won over to her, cassians and eris´s side by what courtiers copy details from her designs.

she makes her handmaiden some nice outfits. we can also learn what nesta likes about herself here, in the dresses she designs: what does she emphasize, what does she hide? while she probably has a whole range of outfits to make her look anything from innocent to evil queen what does she wear when shes just "nesta"?  Feyre once remarked she hated her eyes because they reminded her of her mother and nesta. does nesta feel the same way or does she like her eyes for just the same reason? combat training with cassian continues in secret. some fun wrestling or close combat fighting flirting. she reflects on the fact that while she "let loose" in velaris and slept around she would never sleep with him casually, she knows it would mean somethign and she wouldnt be able to brush it off if she did. he asks her to teach him something aswell or explain some etiquette thing. idk, poin is that they are learning from eachother and admire each others strenghts. she says to him she thinks hes very brave to never masks his feelings but notes it leaves him open to manipulation easily. he asks back if shes then thinks herself a coward for always masking herself. conversation started out nice but turns sour.

Autumn court outing, she and cassian makes up and she opens up to him about her and feyres realtionship. we can also maybe get some more background on why shes so protective of elain here, as someone whos described to be so beautiful and charming i dont buy its because someone was like once mean to her. elain would have been popular in her own right.

she and eris ride together and jokes and such, he makes some halfjoking remark about cassian maybe and she defends him. they talk about family pressures and parental figures who are very imposing and bossy while the other is passive (something they have in common) eris lets down his guard a bit and talks about how he doesnt want to be like that, he doesnt want his future partner to be trapped in the same situation either. she talks about how she never really thought about how married life would be like growing up, everythign was about getting married. the after wasnt something discussed. she thinks about if she would ever want a family, she probably assumed she would have children one day (it was expected) but the only thing she can imagine is a perfect child like she was. she starts being afraid of if she has children she would turn into her mother. she has a quick image of cassian as a dad with a smiling little girl in his arms.

throughout this whole thing nesta is writing letters to the night court, it is expected since shes the high ladys sister and since they are surely read they use it to throw suspicion in the wrong places to beron about what she sees and suspects. but as she writes and recieves back letters and she reflects and improves on who she is, her letters become more heartfelt. doing some work to improve their relationship a bit. in her dresses she starts sewing in hidden pockets. Cassian gifts her a dagger, saying he thinks she will be able to be marginally more dangerous to others than herself by now with it. she makes a special hidden pocket for it and always has it on her.

the trio finds out who in the autumn court is the death gods agent and kidnaps them. azriel comes by to get information through torture but the agent does not break. Nesta goes in and through playing a perfect balance between caring and arrogant she gets the agent to slip up and give them a clue about where they will strike next, what they are after. Azriel is impressed, notes she is a a great interrogator and would make a great spy for him. he also notes to cassian about how shes changed alot since he saw her last. more focused and balanced in herself. Eris notes how she reminds him of Amarantha from the first book before she betrayed everyone and cassian gets mad he would say something like that. back and forth but and eris notes how "a knife is a knife, its about how its wielded." and pointing out that just because a person was an enemy on the battlefield doesnt mean he couldnt admire a skilled warrior. and so likening her to amarantha was a compliment. cassian huffily agrees and sees their, to his mind, more boring socialite nights with a new eye. same revelation as in the original book when nesta read battlefield books and saw how like it was to a court but for cassian instead.

the clue from the death gods agent leads them to trying to go after the mcguffin under the guise of a romantic trip. think a bunch of weapons hidden in a picknic basket. Handmaiden comes along to make it look real. on the perilous trip they all work together and and finally gets it, on the way back to bring the macguffin to meet up with nighcourt gang so amren can study it, they get attacked by the queens cronies again. Eris has the mcguffin and the handmaiden on his horse and rides off, making the smart decision to first and foremost get it out of the enemies reach and try and lure them off cassian and nesta. it doesnt work. the evil queen is overcome by her hatred for nesta and order her soldier after her instead of the mcguffin. nestas had some training but cant hold off soldiers whos trained for centuries and gets taken. she sees cassian being overwhelmed but still trying to get to her. she invokes the bargain of favour they made to force him to abandon her. they share a long look before he is forced by the bargain to fulfill her wish.

Eris and Cassian meets up the NC gang and they are besides themselves. a rescue mission is put toghether. Feyre insists on coming "she came for me, trying to pass the wall". handmaiden stays with azriel and amren.

Nesta wakes up in The evil queens castle. we get some one on one talks with the villain. we get insight into her motivations and why she valued her youth so much. we get to see how Nesta used to also think the most valuable thing about herself was how well she could appeal to others and the power that gave in a society wich was designed to make her powerless. she now finds it a bit sad and reflects on how much she values her new friendships and how cassian would probably still like her even if she wasnt traditionally beautiful anymore. The Villain starts draining her blood bathory style to get her youth back. agents of the deathgod comes and makes her stop before Nesta dies. he has bigger plans for her. Evil Queen looses her shit at not getting to kill her.

we see eris, feyre, and cass making plans for how to get in and rescue Nesta. some heart to heart between feyre and Cas about his feelings for Nesta and how hes holding off on showing her them. He talks about how hes seen alot get thrown at her. he talks about how she havent gotten to choose alot in her life and so in a way he hates the bond because he himself realises that that is yet another thing she havent gottent to choose. feyre wonders if nesta thinks he isnt attracted to her. that she thinks cassian only said what he said in the heat of the moment on the battefield. Cassian is dumbstruck by how anyone could not be attracted to nesta.

Evil queen comes by to taunt nesta in her cell. they exchange barbs and she lies and says she killed "her warrior" to mess with her. Nesta doesnt believe her but still gets anxious. has a twinge of doubt anyones goign to rescue her. elaine has always been with her when things go bad and a part of her thinks they only got rescued because of her since everyone loves elaine and now when its just her will they still come?

shes to be transported somwhere by the evil deathgods cronies and the evil queen is accommpanying them. the rescue trio sees them leaving. their whole plan on infiltration flies out the window and they have to move quick. Feyre uses her shape shifting to look human and makes herself bait. running at the caravan of nestas captors when theyve left the city (a castle usually have a city around it) screaming theres fae attacking from there pointing to the right as eris and cass attack from the completely opposite side. in the chaos nesta gets loose and starts running for the trees evil queen blindly pursue her and tries to kill her. with her arms free she grabbs the hidden dagger from her dress and kills the queen in self defense. the rescue trio finds her and they all go back to Night Court.

the book concludes with her and cassian having a heart to heart about how he was so worried he would loose her again and she admitting how she certainly feels somethign for him but she wants to take it slow. (her being terrified of showing her true raw feelings have yet to be resolved. her admitting this much is a big step forward for her) and they have a super smoldery kiss.

end of book. sets up evil lake dude as big baddie, nesta gets to have her own skillset instead of being yet another warrior and next book can build on the change illyrian culture regarding women plot aswell. and makes the sex have some build up.

this whole thing was of course just my personal opinion, and an impulsive plot and theme re-write. rant over.

“youve got it all” “you” in this context is endeavor (who will be referred to as “enji” for the rest of this) and the rest of the line is obvious then; he’s got it all in the sense that he’s a successful, rich pro hero; he has a wife and kids and his own agency; when/if he retires, he could do so comfortably; he has a world-renowned, powerful quirk; he’s got looks and fans and everything

“but youve got it all wrong” despite everything enji has, he doesn’t treat it right at all. obviously he’s abusive as fuck towards his family, and negligent to natsuo and fuyumi once shouto comes along. he’s not satisfied with his place because he doesn’t get to have the number one next to his name. nothing is enough for him; his fatal flaw is envy, and it consumes him to an absolutely absurd degree

“now you dont know you’re a poor unfortunate soul” as previously mentioned, enji’s fatal flaw is envy. it fucks with him so severely that he can’t be happy with what he has, and instead stews in hate towards all might and the bitterness of “what-ifs”. thus, he’s a “poor unfortunate soul”

“oh i know/you make it seem that you feel whole/so they don’t know you’re a poor unfortunate soul” so even though enji is clearly a bit unstable and will never be satisfied or happy with what he has, he has to hide that fact; we see this particularly with his interactions with all might. he is venomous towards him, yes, but he will never let all might know that he’s jealous of him. we see this pattern of behavior echoed in shouto in the sports festival and dabi

“you put on a faith facade/think you’re holy when you’re not” the “faith facade” is enji pretending to feel accomplished with what he’s done, when he clearly isn’t. the “think youre holy when you’re not” refers to enji’s tendency to not see or not admit when he’s wrong. at least until his fight with the nomu leading to introspection, enji did not see any error in his ways. he was fine with using a woman solely for the children she could potentially bear, he was fine with neglecting the children that weren’t “good enough” in his eyes (natsuo and fuyumi), and he was perfectly fine with overworking the children that did meet his standards (shouto and dabi), which supposedly led to one’s death (touya/dabi)

“i hate to break it to you, baby/but you’re simply lost” could be seen as words dabi is telling enji during the nomu fight. shouto, fuyumi, and natsuo have no doubt thought this as well, though, and shouto and natsuo have said things that are equivalent to this (shouto when he told enji he would use him as a stepping stone to be a good hero and natsuo’s recent blowing up about touya’s “death” and enji’s parenting)

“you can right all the wrongs just to feel you belong” these are words natsuo definitely said to enji during their most recent interactions. shouto and dabi echo this sentiment, though, with how they interact with enji. its a very sarcastic and bitter line about not being able to just let what enji has done slip by

“but simply calling out sins don’t bring you closer to god” “calling out sins” is enji’s abuse towards his children and otherwise living through them, particularly shouto, and “bring you closer to god” in this context would mean enji reaching his goals. this is a sentiment all the todorokis feel, but particularly shouto, as enji honed in on him for years and shouto had no way of getting away from him until ua

“youre just a ghost at most/a set of empty bones” i feel as if this is a sentiment all the todorokis feel currently: enji because he’s finally realizing all he’s done wrong and doesn’t quite know how to cope with that; shouto because he’s trying to see himself as anything other than enji’s tool; natsuo because he wants to be more than the abuse enji inflicted on him, but it’s hard bc he can’t let go of touya’s “death”; dabi because he’s completely warped as a person from who he used to be and can’t reach out to his mom or siblings; fuyumi because she most likely has doubts about her feelings/lack of anger towards enji, even though her brothers are all angry with him in some form or fashion; and even rei, because she was changed as a person from enji’s abuse and hurt her own child because of it, and she must deal with the guilt of that

“searching for anything and everything to make you feel whole” this is a reference to how the todoroki’s are trying to cope with what is making them feel like a ghost. enji is reaching out to his kids, shouto is connecting with his friends and midoriya, natsuo is honest about his feelings to enji himself, dabi has a new family/group he connects with, fuyumi stands her ground bc her feelings are her own and shouldnt be swayed by what others are thinking, and rei is in a much better headspace now that she’s away from enji

“when it gets cold, oh, oh, oh” “when it gets cold” means when their struggles get particularly hard. examples of this: enji during the nomu fight, shouto during the sports festival, natsuo during the attack in recent manga chapters and the following conversation with enji, when dabi “dies”/runs away, and when rei hurt shouto. i cant think of a specific example for fuyumi right now, but you get the idea

“you dont know/no you dont know/oh you’re all alone/you poor unfortunate soul” i feel this line relates solely to enji and halfway with dabi, as shouto, natsuo, fuyumi, and rei all have each other and others that help them with being “unfortunate souls”. enji and dabi, on the other hand, only have themselves -- enji because he’s too prideful and also has no one left in his corner after his years of abuse, and dabi because he hasn’t told the league his past (yet), thus he certainly hasn’t talked about this at all

“you can’t control/where your body lets you go/oh you’re all alone/you poor unfortunate soul” i think this line, in particular, is dabi’s, as depending on which “dabi is touya” theory you’re looking at, he was kidnapped by ujiko to be made into a nomu that kinda failed/kinda succeeded, therefore he literally had no control where his body let him go. however, dabi in general didn’t have much choice, or probably felt he didn’t; he couldn’t stand to be with enji any longer, and it quite literally would have killed him if his scars are anything to go by. so he left, and ended up on the path of villainy. he didn’t choose that necessarily, it was just how the cards were played

“and you say that i’ve got it all wrong” “you” is enji and “i[’ve]” is shouto. this is before and during the sports festival. enji is still at his worst, shouto is trying to spite him/separate himself from him, and enji hates shouto for that, thus, he says shouto has it all wrong to not use his quirk/be obedient

“cause you just know im a poor unfortunate soul” enji knows and is the cause of shouto’s fucked up upbringing, so this line is kind’ve a bitter acknowledgment of that

“but there’s no way that there’s weight in the words that you preach/when you’re claiming your faith and you contradict your speech” shouto’s pov one again; he can’t take enji seriously in addition to not wanting to be like him because of enji’s obvious issues with envy. enji tells him to be proud of his fire, and yet clearly enji isn’t even satisfied with it as he can’t beat all might with flames alone. thus, shouto has resentment towards the irony of this, which this line attests to

“so i sit here and listen to your tongue and cheek/i know that when you sit and pray you’re only praying for keeps” shouto has no choice but to listen to enji’s hypocrisy, at least until the dorm system at ua is put into place the “praying” in this aspect can mean a couple different things; enji’s talks to the public, talks to shouto, or talks to all might. “praying for keeps” in these contexts, then, are: “just want to keep his hero ranking high”, “wants to live through shouto’s success because he’s unhappy with his own life”, and “wants to one-up all might in anything possible, from demeanor to supposed satisfaction to pride to legacy, etc”

chorus (“cause you’re a ghost...[...]unfortunate soul” bit) once more

“you’re shallow and empty and filled with regret” arguably all the todorokis feel this way. they all have things they regret at this point and all feel the emptiness that comes when there is a void in what is supposed to be a family. enji in particular has been shallow for a long time and still has issues with that.

“i think that chest must be heavy from that cross on your neck” the “cross” in this context is the weight that the todorokis each feel about what expectations they think they have to live up to/what worries them. obviously all the todoroki kids had/have the pressure to live up to enji’s expectations, but to get more precise: shouto and natsuo have the need to be more than “endeavor’s kids” on their chests, and shouto additionally has the pressures that come with being a hero course student; fuyumi has the dilemma of if she’s being too forgiving or not (and how that affects her loved ones) on her chest; dabi has the knowledge that he left behind his siblings and mother on his chest; enji has regret and dissatisfaction with his whole life on his chest; rei has the regret of what she did to her kids and the horrors of living with enji on her chest.

“you only wear cause you’re wary of what comes next after your death” why the todorokis hold on to their aforementioned “crosses”? they hold on bc its important to them that they carry reminders of who/what they want to be, or because they regret or are unsure of certain decisions, or because of nostalgia and a desire that things were different

“dont think i didn’t notice” this can be an outside perspective, but particularly im thinking midoriya because he’s met almost all of the todorokis now and has seen them at lows. very low lows in fact. thus,,,it can’t escape notice however it can also be the todorokis acknowledge the trauma and guilt that each other has; “takes one to know one” sort of thing

“dont think i didn’t notice/dont think i didn’t know/you’re just a po-o-o-or, poor unfortunate/so-o-o-oul, poor unfortunate/oh, oh, oh, oh poor unfortunate/so-o-o-oul, poor unfortunate” this line is kind’ve incoherent which is why i think it fits all of the todoroki’s thoughts; this is all of them thinking over each other about themselves and about the rest of their family

“and you’ve got it all/you’ve got it all wrong/no you’ve never known, known, known, known/you’re a poor unfortunate soul” once again, this is the todoroki’s thoughts overlapping each other, except these thoughts are exclusively about each other and not themselves

“dont think i didnt notice” definitely this is where the outside party comes in, at least for everyone but enji and dabi, as they have others that are there for them and they can talk to. as for enji and dabi, this line is still them thinking about the others

plenty of women are still jailed for defending themselves against domestic abuse (this is reminding me of a keith knight comic i think i have on hand & will post if i do) while people will also trash on ppl who “tolerate” longtime abuse because they shouldn’t have Allowed it in the first place, they shouldve left, they should fight back. but if they fight back theyre potentially up for criminal charges, sure, thats fine. and you know god forbid an abused woman have children because then she’s a bad mom too for allowing her kids to be exposed to that, if she was a good parent she’d take the kids (how) and leave (where) and effortlessly be able to support them and seamlessly give them just as good as—no, actually, an even better quality of life. and when she can’t she’s equally condemnable for not wishing a system of support into existence and not getting a job as if one worker can support even themselves alone adequately anymore and when she has a job and doesnt have as much time to spend with her children or god forbid has to work illegally to actually get enough money...well anyways obviously the problem always is that you shouldnt have been poor or abused or not white or not in the right place at the right time always or etc etc etc

like i left home overnight b/c i was abused and of course i didnt have some alternate version of a stable home and supportive family just sitting around out there, which is always part of what holds you off, and shockingly when i left home i was homeless & that immediately is criminalized and it was funny b/c i’d step into work and be accepted as just another person in that context but i go outside & try to find places to be that’s not in my car b/c if you’re walking around looking normal its fine unless you were playing pokemon go w everyone else at night and the rich people got annoyed & also i’d like to go to movies. but then at night my existence is inherently criminal and i’m having to dodge the cops who like to keep things nice at their discretion for the rich white neighborhoods & just what a stunning development that i can’t automatically thrive in an economy where even fulltime jobs dont give you enough to have a place to live and i dont have family to fall back on and i was already suicidal since idek when & was never allowed to exist just as myself or develop ambitions or wants besides surviving. but i shouldve magically been able to thrive the moment i stepped outside my abusive house & everything shouldve seemed accessible to me and the system works and i guess i shouldve magically conjured up somewhere to go overnight!! not like i didnt try to get an apartment and land a $700 depressing studio in the middle of winter w terrible heating insulation so i was searching for a job while trying to keep warm w blankets and tea and baths and makeshift hot water bottles & eating as little as possible & ultimately just bleeding abt 2.5k and finally snagging a job just before having to retreat into the trunk of my car as my personal quarters. like i was even lucky to have the damn car paid off and in my name, and also lucky it was a minivan (more room).

like who would tell me that i shouldve stayed in my parents home w the lifelong abuse? ppl probably would blame me if i had & doubtlessly blame me for not leaving any earlier. and yet how many people would then 100% fit whatever subsequently happened to me as being my own fault if i hadnt found a world of success and met their definition as an acceptable person with an acceptable life. well you shouldve done x y and z like its easy and anybody can and if nobody’s got their hand on your throat why can’t you do anything that comes into your head? b/c why face the fact that there’s social problems that just might have to affect them too, when they have become gold medalist mental gymnasts at fitting everything that happens to people as their own fault, if you deserved to succeed you would, if you deserve to live you will

like it is just baffling to me how readily ppl accept like, that homeless ppl on the street just need to be somewhere else where nobody has to see them. b/c i know they consider them immediately criminal and dangerous and inferior and diseased and completely a different species but like. where do you expect them to go. to shut them out from society is tantamount to saying you want them to die, and you really do, but you still see yourself as a good person and you still think this is A Christian Nation

Mom is a fu*king narcissist and it fu*king drives me crazy!!!

The thing with narcissistic mothers is that they can be very abusive, and not necessarily even in sexual way, just abusive. They can say the meanest and most hurtful things and yet say that they love their children. It can be very confusing and distressing, and usually that's exactly what it becomes.

Narcissistic people think everything is about them and their way is the right way. They are unable to see anything wrong in their own actions and that's why that is a lifelong battle.

Narcissistic people are in love with themselves. There are different levels of narcissism and the deeper it gets the more terrible people they are/become. They in fact, head to psychopathy - yes this is true. Not into being psychotic but being psychopaths.These mothers arent though necessarily cold blooded evil, they simply lack the ability to be the best they can be as people. Or if they have the ability they are too damn proud to display it. They can actually say that they love their children, and in a light-hearted way even do so, and care for their needs (while being verbally abusive,) but understand that the love they give is shallow. What a narcissistic mother does to their children isnt what a normal mother does.

As frustrating and hurtful it is to deal with a narcissistic parent, you can learn from them what not to do. These mothers will try to take credit from everything good you do in your life, that's the other far end in this matter. That is not sounding as bad of course because it's not done in a negative light, but it's not right either.

The thing with narcissists is that you arent required to keep them in your life no matter if they have a title called mom or dad or whatever - - that in normal circumstances would speak against it.

"But she's/he's my..."

No.

You arent required to keep an abusive person in your life. You dont have to maintain such toxic relationship and keep them engaged in your life. That's the main thing you need to learn as a child of a narcissist. You cant live your own life ever, unless you are able to block them out and their negative "voice" out of your life. You know the broken record that plays in your mind, the negative "oh you're not good enough", "you shouldnt have done that" etc...

You may need therapy for that to help you understand more about it and how to get rid of the toxic cycle a narcissistic parent has placed you into, but that's basically what it is. You may think "well how can I do that without causing more crap upon myself"...well, you can push them to the background of your life (not in a negative way, there's no use getting into fights and arguments or in an attack mode or even in a defense mode with a narcissist, that gets you nowhere but deeper in their abuse), one way is by distancing yourself from them. Often the physical distance long term is a good option and keeping all other contact to the minimum and not caving into what they are telling you to do. (that's the hardest part, yes, because they use abuse to get to their goal).

They will try to guilt you over it.

Narcissistic mothers will even try to guilt you over the fact that you cant do that because they gave birth to you and you somehow owe them to give them what they want.

No.

Again this is not true. A parent should never do that to their child. Not under any circumstances, that's simply not normal behavior. A normal parent does not guilt their child over it because a child does not owe their parents anything. If children do something positive, they do it out of love.

I hope all is well with you!

I know you are busy but I wanted to take a moment to try and share my story with you - as I have said before on this blog, I know there are causes more worthy than mine but I think my story is important nonetheless because I’m sure there are many women other who have a similar story.  So here I go...just to give you a quick idea of who I am, my name is Pia and I am a 28 year old German / American citizen who lives in a tiny German village on my own (well not completely, I do have a 10 year old rescue pug named Benny & a 19 year old rescue persian named Emerald Anastasia von Cuddlesworth - aka Aunna or Aunna Banana). I grew up a military brat and don’t really have a home town, I was born in Lebanon, TN but didn’t stay there long -- in fact, I’ve never lived anywhere longer than four years so I don’t really have a ‘home town’. My family and friends are spread out around the world, with my closest relatives being an hour and a half away and my parents being at least two flights away in Gallup, NM.  I originally started this blog only as a fundraiser for a service dog to help me with my newly diagnosed auto immune disorder but as time has gone on I hope to have it serve a higher purpose as well; I want to raise awareness for a couple of things...

1. I want to help spread the word about the rare auto immune disorder that I was diagnosed with (more on that below) so that others who might be suffering with this disorder can get answers too. I also want to talk about life with an invisible disability / chronic pain or chronic illness. So many people suffer silently or face back lash when dealing with something that others can’t see. It’s time to end the stigma against invisible chronic illness / chronic pain. Just because you cannot see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there - we must all remember to be kind for “everyone we meet is fighting a hard battle”.  2. I am also a domestic abuse survivor and I want to let anyone else who is stuck in an abusive relationship (whether it is verbal abuse and manipulation, physical abuse, or both) know that no matter what life throws at you - you deserve to love yourself, to protect yourself and to fight for yourself... 3. I want to talk about Gender (and other) Bias in medicine because it is a VERY real issue that needs to be addressed! So here is a little more of my story... On June 5th 2020, after 2+ years of searching for an answer as to why I was sick and in pain all the time, I was finally diagnosed with a rare auto immune disorder called ANCA Vasculitis, or antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody-associated vasculitis. ANCA Vasculitis is the name of a group of autoimmune conditions characterized by the inflammation of the blood vessels caused by the immune system mistakenly attacking them. There are several types of ANCA vasculitis and the exact cause (genetic / environmental / etc) is unknown, so patients diagnosed with ANCA vasculitis may display varied symptoms. The disease affects about 1 in 50,000 people. Due to the generic symptoms many of us have (chronic pain, sore throat, cough, cold and flu like symptoms, headaches, etc.) this disorder is often over looked. Many people don’t receive a diagnosis until something major has happened (organ failure for example). This disorder can be deadly if left untreated and too many women (and men) have symptoms like the above brushed off...especially if they have a history of mental illness or are dealing with a lot of stress as I was; 

I first started searching for answers to my growing health concerns in 2018. I had just moved from Germany to Scotland to start my life over - I was finally leaving my abusive spouse with the help of my amazing parents - I had my first “grown up” job with Hilton Corporate and was going to work and get my Masters Degree (I have a BA in Anthropology and was hoping to get my MSc in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics & Law at the University of Glasgow or at the University of Edinburgh). I was so excited to start over! So excited that I may have pushed the trauma and emotional scarring of my abusive marriage down for the first few months I was there and everything was peachy. Of course, those moments of bliss could not last forever. Still, I was settled in a new country (which BTW I had never even been to Glasgow prior to moving there) and I felt relatively safe for the first time in over a year - here my spouse could not find me or hurt me. I began seeing a therapist to help me unpack the trauma of my past. Of course, I was worried what people would think - as I’m sure you can imagine my spouse’s version of why we were getting a divorce was very different from mine so I tried to keep everything as quiet as possible. I didn’t want to deal with any backlash because, in his eyes, as always, everything was my fault. It wasn’t the fact that he had wanted to kill me at one point - nooo that certainly wasn’t why I was leaving (sarcasm) - In his eyes it was because I wanted an older man or because I just wasn’t willing to try to fix things...(even though I was the one who had suggested marriage counseling in the first place). It wasn’t the fact that he’d isolated me or cut me off from our finances. No, nothing was ever his fault... Even now, when I no longer have contact with him or his family I am afraid... This is the first time I have openly spoken about our marriage and divorce and as I have begun to tell my story I’m terrified that he’ll try to contact me or that I will receive backlash from him or his family (I am sure many of them would take his side and call me a liar...). I am speaking out now for two reasons - the first was because I only think it is fair and right to be completely honest about who I am and how I ended up where I am now if I’m going to be asking  my family and friends for financial assistance and two because I want to help others who are or were victims of abuse. When I finally came out with my story a friend contacted me and told me she had been through the same type of situation with her spouse and it was a really lovely moment - we’d both been suffering in silence for fear of back lash but had now found each other.  Anyway, back to the matter at hand... The first symptom I had was pain, chronic pain all over my body. My back, legs, arms, knees, ankles, feet, wrists, you name it - it hurt - and it kept getting worse and worse. I was having to take pain killers every day just to get to work and come home. I was extremely tired, no matter how many hours of sleep I got (6, 8, 10...) I was always tired. Then I started having headaches that would last for hours, then for days, then for weeks. I started to feel like I had a cold (on good days) or the flu (on bad days). My throat was sore, my voice was hoarse, I was congested and then I started having night sweats or trouble controlling my temperature (freezing even though the heat was on and the electric fire place was going). When I spoke to my doctors about my concerns it was written off as stress, depression, or anxiety. Whenever someone in the office I worked in got sick (you know how it goes around in an office environment) I would get sick too... my co workers would feel unwell for a few days, I would feel unwell for weeks. I then got strep throat but the doctors said I’d be fine with a few days rest. A few days went by and it turned into bacterial tonsillitis. I had to have multiple rounds of antibiotics. Then I had a stomach infection that lasted for over a month, a cough that lasted for months (November 2018 - March 2019). At one point I was coughing so hard I thought I would pass out. I coughed till I puked. I coughed till I pulled a muscle. My blood work kept showing elevated levels of inflammation / signs of an infection but since doctors didn’t know why they told me it was probably just fibromyalgia (something which shouldnt’ be diagnosed until all other possible causes have been ruled out). The rheumatologist in Scotland said there was no cure but I could do yoga, meditate, and maybe take an anti depressant... I felt like I was dying - I didn’t understand how I could feel so sick and no one seemed to take me seriously or care. A year and a half later (June 2019) I decided to move back to Germany - Brexit was looming and I just wasn’t happy in Glasgow anymore. Everyday was a struggle, my bus commute to and from work often took an hour and would leave me in so much pain I could barely get up off the couch at the end of the day. Plus work was not happy with all of the sick days I’d had to take. Keeping in mind that I felt sick everyday and I only took sick days when I had a high fever or wasn’t able to talk or walk.  My parents lived in Germany at the time so I found a job where I could work at home in Germany and moved back in hopes of finding answers.  A few months after moving back to Germany my parents sadly had to go to the US so I was once again alone in a new area. In November 2019 my cough returned and I was sick again with an unexplained “upper respiratory infection”. Once again I was put on multiple rounds of antibiotics which didn’t help - To make things worse I am allergic to almost all cough syrup and since I was working in a call center I was off work sick. The cough lasted till mid January this time and I lost my job. Work “understood” that I was going through a tough time and “felt horrible” for letting me go - they said I could reapply when I was “healthy”... and to top things off, my emotional support animal of 8 years, my baby girl Biene (a 11 year old Australian Cattle dog), my rock and constant companion, was then diagnosed with cancer and passed in December of 2019.  I have to admit that these have been some of the hardest moments of my life... I have felt like such a failure and disappointment. I was an adult, I was supposed to be married and adopting kids (I’ve never wanted biological children due to my health issues), I was supposed to be getting my masters degree and leading a successful career, I wanted to travel and I wanted to be a source of positivity and happiness in the world... but instead I was broke, alone, grieving, depressed, anxious, and continuously sick... I have had to rely on my parents financially and have felt like a burden...I wanted to give up...but I kept fighting. Life gives us new reasons to keep living. I had a few great moments, I was blessed with a few opportunities for travel and have enjoyed those moments. I have great friends and family who continued to support me and who told me I was not a burden on their lives, so I kept fighting. I felt like my new German doctor wasn’t taking me seriously and once again was chalking everything up to stress and then later to grief (over losing my dog). So I found a new doctor a little further away and she listened to me - for the first time in a long time I felt like I had seen a doctor who actually cared. She helped me get in with a rheumatologist and she advocated for me. She agreed that my blood work constantly showing elevated levels of inflammation / infection - for over a 2 year period - along with me constantly feeling unwell wasn’t something to just be ignored but was an important symptom. While she had no idea what was wrong with me she was determined to help me find answers.  In May I finally went and saw the rheumatologist - at first I thought all hope was lost, in our very first meeting she said to me “ I don’t think there is anything wrong with you”. She had barely looked at my paperwork and had barely listened to my symptoms. They sounded too generic for her...she didn’t think ti could be anything “rheumatic”... I was so young... It was probably stress... I’d heard it all before; but still she did her job, she ran the tests and a month later I was suddenly called back in for another appointment. My blood work showed what I had known all along - that I was sick - that I needed help and she admitted that she’d been wrong.  It’s only been 12 days since I was finally diagnosed but its been a roller coaster of emotions for me - relief and validation - fear and anger and sadness... my life has so not gone to plan. I have struggled with depression and anxiety since I was 12 and the added stresses of the instances above, and the near constant pain (both emotional and physical) have not helped, but I refuse to give up. I’ll be completely honest with you, some days I don’t even know why - some days I only fight because I love my dog and cat and friends and family and cannot leave them. Other days I fight because I have dreams not yet realized.  So, yeah, I started this blog because I hope to raise enough money to get a service dog (and this is still a major goal of mine) but I hope it will become something more. My friends and family have been so generous during this difficult time for all of us and have donated what they can. So far we have around 700.00 raised of the 10,000.00 euro goal. Reaching the 10,000 euro goal seems nearly impossible ... at least it seems impossible without help...but I have faith.   If you have taken the time to read all of this I want to say THANK YOU. some details change, but the meat of it is generally the same. the parts in red and bold are specific to just this last time.

im at my house and my mom announces that we will be going to the water park. fun!! but my dad is going. hes also staying with us for 3 days. so not fun.

we make pasta, ravioli with alfredo sauce, and they confuse me by saying something (saying i was going with my step family). then they announce it was a joke, and then i can have my pasta. my mom gives a signal and my step family drive away.

i have to discuss something with my friend "alexander", who i cant see but i can hear. my dad wants us to keep the door open so he can hear what we say. we try the front door and then i have to show him something i wrote on a paper. the paper is blank.

cut to the park, theres one of those swing rides that spins you around in the air. i go on it. i dont like the way my dad looks at me. i want my moms attention but she wont give it to me, shes looking at something in the distance. theres two teenage boys behind me, i keep going on the ride over and over, and theyre always right behind me. the ride is over again, and this time i get off. im uncomfortable.

we go into the food court and i need to use the bathroom. my mom is worried we wont be able to find it, but i say we just passed it. we were next to the number "8", and the bathroom was at seven. we go back to it. i cant find it, "alexander" lays down & now theres a doorway to go through.

through the doorway its like a maze. theres people dressed up as characters, or so i thought, and i get through them the "wrong" way, by instead of fighting with them i play and make friends with them until they let me pass. at the last two, i realize they are robots. im scared. i need to use the bathroom.

the bathroom doesnt have stalls. its just water, with vents, some floating dividers, and no privacy. its dark. im the only person there, but i still try to cover up as much as possible. more people arrive. theres two boys there suddenly, nearest the wall, which shouldnt be possible unless they were there before me.

im trying to pull my pants back up and the two boys are talking about genitalia, the kind that i have specifically. i know these boys, i saw their mother looking for them. they say "yeah, ive never seen one before", notice im there, and look at me hopefully. "i have an idea." one of them says. i say something along the lines of "no.", "i dont have answers." or "not from me", etc etc. they look down disappointed.

they notice something in the water. im trying to leave. theres suddenly a projector light, and theres crabs in the water. tiny crabs. they say "thats so cool!" and im telling them about crabs, and they arent listening. then theres more crabs. theres thousands. millions. nobody else cares. i try to get out of the water and out of the bathroom as fast as i can.

while im running i can see them everywhere. im lost in the maze. i finally get out. i see the boys' mother waiting at the entrance, looking like shes considering going in. she has two small children with her, so i help her out, "they're in there." i say. she nods to me. but she keeps just standing there. like she doesnt know if its worth it.

i get to my mom. i try to tell her about the crabs, that we have to leave, that im scared. my dad is still looking at me weird. they cant see eachother. they just keep looking at me.

"alexander" is trying to tell me something. i cant hear him. hes pulling me away and out of the crowd, away from the crabs, away from my parents. i can barely make out what he says. "we have to leave, its not too late".

I was stopped at a red light behind two cars. Both cars started to go and so did I the next thing I knew I had hit the car in front of me. The car in front of me hit the car in front of him. We all pulled over my car isnt to bad but I drive a suburban, the car in front of me was a smaller car so his looked a little worse. Nobody was hurt, and all cars were drivable, so we decided to not call the police we just all exchanged information. After we had finished and they left I immediately called my insurance lady to let her know what happened. I am not super clear on this next part, we have been going back and forth with our insurance since that call and will continue to fight it. When I called the insurance lady she said I wasnt covered. She said that they had received the last payment much later than it was due (not sure how because it was mailed the same time as always) but because of that our insurance had been cancelled. A couple of weeks ago they had chased our check, she said we were reinstated as of yesterday (the day of the accident) but because it was the same day they werent liable to pay the damages. We are going to keep fighting them because I dont think its fair. Even if they decide that they wont pay we can afford to just pay for the damages to the rear end of the car in front of us, because know matter what happened I am at fault for following to close. We cant afford to pay out of our pocket also for his front end and the rear end of the first car. Shouldnt those damages be covered by the car I hit because he was obviously following to close to the car in front of him?
