I also genuinely think that ADA and Joachim are best friends. Like he ran away with her for years before finally coming back to his parents. Those two have to be close I refuse to believe otherwise.

Lotr headcanon, having lots of patches on your clothes is fashionable in the Shire. The more patches, the cooler you are. Especially if it's a lot of different fabrics. It's common to trade patches with friends and family, and it's usually treated with high sentimental value. It's like carrying a piece of someone with you.

While the hobbits are on the quest, their clothes get holes and such. This leads Sam and Frodo to nab small things from the other members of the fellowship, like handkerchiefs or anything too worn for use, to use as patches. Merry and Pippin aren't so courteous, and cut pieces from the fellowship's clothes while they sleep.

Of course, the hobbits exchange patches amongst themselves while traveling, and they never go anywhere without a needle and some thread. Sam is the best at sewing. Pippin is not allowed around needles.

Boromir notices this, thinks it's adorable, and leaves things out purposely for the hobbits to use. Eventually, he asks about it, and they convince him to do the patches, too.

Aragorn also notices and thinks it's adorable, but doesn't bring it up to them. He's secretly flattered to find pieces of his rag on Frodo's pants. He asks Boromir about it instead.

Legolas doesn't notice. His clothes are elven-made, and the scissors refuse to cut it.

Gimli notices the random holes in his clothes, and the things going missing, but doesn't realize it's the hobbits. He brings it up to Legolas, who immediately convinces Gimli that he's crazy and it's all in his head.

Gandalf notices, obviously, and he doesn't mind until Pippin tries to cut his cloak while hes asleep. He proceeds to wake up and yell at him until dawn.

After Boromir dies, Aragorn takes his cloak, and sews pieces onto his clothes. These are the only patches he has.

Bilbo has a set of clothes with patches from the dwarves, from his own adventure. He told them about the tradition, and they all gave him pieces of fabric to use. He can still recount which patch belonged to who.

Eddie obviously knows how to sew (hes not only dirt-poor living off of a single consistent paycheck and whatever he earns selling drugs, but hes also a punk- theres no way he DOESNT know how to sew), but steve most definitely does. not. one of his shirts get a hole and he throws it out.

When eddie first witnesses this, hes fucking MORTIFIED and ends up digging a t-shirt out of the trash and sewing the hole closed and fixing the loose stitching on the hem and gives steve a lecture about not wasting fabric and money.

And from then on, steve just shows up at the munson household every now and then with various clothes in his arms, asking eddie to fix them for him.

I've had a headcanon for a while that ADA is able to roam around Lab 42 but she just doesn't really do it often. Whenever she does though she shows up in the strangest places possible.

Like she'll show up in Tesla and Einsteins lab randomly and scare them half to death. Or Tesla will go downstairs at two in the morning only to scream in fear because ADAs staring at her from a dark corner in the room and she thinks someone broke in. (Her eyes hadn't adjusted to the darkness and seeing a glowing thing in the corner staring her down terrified her.)

how would rafe behave when you feel sad?

it's not just sadness. it's staying in bed, numb, no energy to move sadness.

rafe notices you're quieter than usual, not even your favorite topics can get you out of the slump.

he hugs you. he wraps his arms around your frame and spoons you, his warmth making you feel tethered when your whole existence feels like a crumpled leaf being carried by the wind before someone steps on it.

he gives you small kisses on the shoulder, nuzzling into your cheek, whispering sweet nothings to not let you get too in your head.

he makes you your favorite food. he knows eating is hard when you're like this, so he buys your favorite sweets and makes your favorite dinner, and even if you don't eat much of it, he doesn't say anything, just encourages you to eat a bit more. he knows it's not about him or his cooking.

he puts on your favorite, feel-good film. the kind that doesn't demand you to pay attention but that can bring out a small smile from you.

at the end of the day, he gives you your favorite of his hoodies, the fabric swallowing you up, soft from use and that smells like him. you sleep in it, cradled in his arms, small i love yous whispered into your skin so you don't forget that, even when you're feeling so low, you're still loved.
