PSA:

If you get a dog, you should crate train it.

If you don't want to crate train your puppy bc it 'makes them sad', you are missing an opportunity to raise them up without anxiety.

if you have a dog, you should find out and know what it actively does when you're not there- not just when you leave, but when you're not there. 20. 30. 60 minutes after.

Why?

Because separation anxiety feels horrible for dogs, and sounds horrible to your neighbors. If your dog has separation anxiety, it is your responsibility as your caretaker to do everything you can to ameliorate this condition.

#currently having to look at buying a sonic anti bark device #bc my nighbors dog barks ALL DAY for HOURS into the night when she leaves the house #and half the time she leaves it on a walled patio #which for some reason makes it bark more and also amplifies the bark #the dog clearly has miserable separation anxiety and afaik she's doing....nothing abt it.#guess what my job is? ....#to take calls and meetings with ppl who pay me to talk to or meditate with them #kind of hard to do that while there is a panicked dog in the background!!!!!#FOR 6-8 hours a DAY!!

just received a finished comm of jyt and a phonecall that the local business I frequent for jellycat plushies was able to reserve one of the upcoming new dragons for me so I'll have it as soon as they ship next month And the apartment I went to check out today was like nearly perfect and in the exact area I want..... maybe it is finally my turn to have fate smile upon me [sniffles gratefully]

#the week before last my mom and i decided to spend more time in nature since we've been cooped up inside since like 2020 #we decided to enjoy our garden again #(mostly cause we can't afford to turn on the AC because of bills going up but it was still a nice change in routine)#we cleaned up the patio table and got our folding chairs from storage (things we hadn't properly used in years)#i got an old unused notebook out to write outside and just have a nice chill time #we were combating mosquitoes but it was fine and my dog was really happy to just chill with us on the grass #it was perfect and lovely #...#that lasted exactly 3 days #last tuesday night some fucking asshole jumped my neighbors wall (or our gate idk) and stole our two old ass folding chairs #and wednesday night he came back to get the table he forgot (a table so fucking heavy idk how he managed to get it up the wall/gate)#and as you can imagine... if we can't afford to turn on the ac because the electricity bill is already impossible to pay...#it was a real fucking effort to buy another table #but i fucking REFUSE to go back inside like a fucking puppy with my tail between my legs #we can barely make it to the end of the month #buying something silly like icecream or an extra sweet has us revaluating the entire month's expenses #and we can't even own fucking furniture that we've owned for like 15 years #i'm so fucking tired!#i want to either die or leave this place and honestly dying is more achievable #anyways i just spent almost half the money i had on my bank account #but i bought a small folding table which i will fold up and bring inside every fucking night because not even a gate can keep you safe #i will fucking sit outside and enjoy fucking nature so help me god!#(if the rats/lizards let me lol)#see why i'm so fucking tired all the time?! when you're not dealing with pests you're dealing with human pests #i do thank god and all angels above they didn't try to break in and kill us in the process but my fucking garden furniture!!!#that was too long cause i'm still pissed #and tomorrow is grocery shopping day so i'm depressed again #angel talks #personal

i went to tour a floor plan like the one we're moving into in a month today and i like CANNOT believe i get to live there like the finished basement complete with bar mini fridge and in-unit washer and dryer is big enough to be it's own studio apartment and that's not even taking into account the first floor and our bedrooms upstairs it's like if an apartment was a smallish house connected to 4 other smallish houses

#it's 2700 sq foot my friends are genuinely considering getting a pool table for the basement #EXTREMELY high vaulted ceiling a fireplace a little patio and even littler balcony like comically tiny #but big enough for me to sit and have a morning cig and coffee ☕️#AND I HAVE A LITTLE WINDOW SEAT CUBBYHOLE THING like this is so crazy fucked up #it's also like all brand new appliances it's a new renovation everything is New #we even have a fucking laundry chute i was like What's this hole in the wall .... ?#i'm so excited and so happy i know i'm gonna NEED the next month to get my shit together enough to make the move #pack my belongings etc #but i wish we could start NOW like holy shit #actually seeing it has made it sooo more real like it's for real happening
