At this point, he would have said his usual line of 'Well, not too kind. An adequate amount of kind.', but the more he thought about it, the more he realized this was far more than the usual kind of gifts he'd get.

For starters, this wasn't a PB&J.

Secondly, he can tell that this wasn't just a store-bought custard pie that a fan was 'claiming' to be her own cooking. It's still got enough 'imperfections' for one to tell that it was handmade and not mass-factory produced. Most custard pies don't even look this decent.

So he won't be making that comment this time. Nor will he mention that they technically do eat regular, non-sentient fruit just fine...

Hey! Your invasive plant shirts really speak to my petty naturalist self, but over in the PNW garlic mustard and honeysuckle aren’t as prevalent a problem. Oh I do have a list of plants I would like to include. I’ve got an image for multiflora rose in the works, and after that Paulownia and Bradford pear. I have seen several Scotch broom haters excited by the possibility of wearing their botanical nemesis as well, so if I have the time I will certainly add it to the list. I am unfamiliar with Himalayan Blackberry as it seems not to be in my area (yet) but it looks very tasty and would make a good Eat Invasives shirt ...

Yo, in response to your Star Trek autistic hcs: I headcanon that Word is autistic. He speaks extra-formally, he’s a strict rule-follower, he has a strong sense of wrong and right and he seems to have a hard time with casual social interactions. I really like Worf as a character, and I think him being autistic makes a lot of sense.

Oh for sure. and he also seems different even from other klingons in attitude and personality, other klingons seem less “awkward” than worf does

A thermoelectric ink that turns car exhaust pipes into power generators

A joint research team, affiliated with UNIST has announced that they have successfully developed a thermoelectric technology to produce power-generating tubes using 3D printing techniques. Researchers found that the tube-shaped device is more effective than conventional devices. This breakthrough has been jointly led by Professor Han Gi Chae and Professor Jae Sung Son from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and Professor Sung Youb Kim from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UNIST.

"Through this research, we will be able to effectively convert heat generated by factory chimneys, the most common type of waste heat source, into electricity," said Professor Son. He said this is because the existing thermoelectric devices were in rectangular parallelepiped shapes.

In this study, researchers created the thermoelectric tube using a 3D printed ink made of lead (Pb) and tellurium (Te). Metal particles were mixed inside a glycerol solvent to provide viscoelasticity, a status that exhibits both viscous and elastic characteristics. The tube has a high thermoelectric performance at temperatures between 400 and 800 degrees Celsius, which is the temperature range of a car's exhaust gasses. The tube shape makes it more effective in collecting heat than a conventional cuboid type.

The BAFTA released their longlist of films that will potentially end up on the final ballot. I find the releasing of longlists unnecessary timewasting. Just give us the final ballot because as Brandy sang; "Almost doesn't count." One body that released the pin is SAG-AFTRA who announced their nominees for this year's SAG Awards. The only shocker on this list is that Kristen Stewart who is most awarded female actor this season didn't garner a nomination. was drawn to adapt the novel "Passing" because of the parallels of the story with her life as Hall suspected her mother,, opera singer Maria Ewing, was biracial with African American heritage, something her mother danced around and would always say she didn't know definitively.

Making the film and appearing on PBS' "Finding Your Roots" provided Hall with many answers. Her mother told her that by making the film Rebecca gave Ewing and her late father (who also passed for white) "liberation". It's a great thing because Hall's mother passed away yesterday. Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, I'm Your Man) honoured her. Stevens first break came by way of Ewing's husband, theatre director Peter Hall. Stevens was also classmates with Rebecca and her costar in a play and in film.

She’s a cross orbweaver, yes! I’ve never heard them called golden cross orbweavers, maybe that’s a local thing for you? But yes they’re super common but I love them deeply! Very nice markings :)

You and Jaeden had gotten back early from a date and just wasted time at your house. You offered to make him something, “Y/n, the only thing you can make is a grilled cheese and those turn up burnt half the time,”

“Well there’s a fifty-fifty that yours will be good,”

You got to work. You had already made Jaeden’s and he sat at the counter eating it. You changed your mind and ending up making your self a PB and J. Jaeden was watchingTikToks on his phone and a song that you knew came on. You started dancing in place, making Jaeden laugh, “You’re cute,”

“If I’m so cute, why don’t you kiss me,” you teased. Your back was to Jaeden but you knew that peeked his interest.

You felt his hands wrap around your waist and he  buried his face in your neck, “You comfy there Jae?”

He mumbled a yes and then looked at you. He placed a kiss on your neck, then placed a kiss on your jaw, making you giggle. You turned around and faced him. You grabbed his face with your hands and connected your lips. You stayed that way until you heard your dad clear his throat.

You groaned, “Dad, please leave,” you grabbed a kitchen towel and threw it at him.

“If you don’t wanna get caught, don’t kiss in public places,” he turned on his heels back to his room.

“I’m sorry. Where were we?”

because lydias my favorite oc im gonna talk about her

shes around 16-17 when she ends up in ninjago but before that she was in adventure time since she was 12. how? well sigfrid stole the book of life and chose lydia to be its current protagonist! shes literally writing lydia into these stories and messing with her. its explained more in my ninjago book. 

her mother is a Japanese/Korean/Guatemalan underworld council woman and retired assassin named megumi who hides her buisness under the cover of a bathouse for multidimensional travelers.  

lydias father is an irish/italian man named flynn who met megumi when he got into the takahashi manner on a mission to recover documents from their secret file. instead of doing his job he played piano with megumis first child [samuru] and megumi and him fell in love.

lydia is the second child and her brother samuru us 13 years older which seems like a lot but members of her family live up to 500 sooo- 

her family had a lot of issues especially when she was little- her mother was often scared of saitama [megumis father] and raised lydia mostly how he wanted to her all while flynn got really and i mean really sick. 

cassius , megumis cousin [called lydias uncle/father figure when lydia talks about him] helped megumi raise lydia to ease the stress his cousin was under. megumi had to be ready to take over her fathers job and she was worried for flynn while samuru was sent on his first mission at age 14. lydia remembers cassius as her father. she didnt see flynn much...he didnt want her seeing him so sick.

eventually there was a huge fight between cassius , megumi and saitama. saitama shot at cassius like he did to cassius’s father jae-young [hes mins brother. min was saitamas wife and she died when megumi and cassius were little] cassius left that night with megumi cradling a sobbing lydia to try and console her [lydia was 9]

physical features of lydia that you may not have noticed in my art include : 

sharp vampire like teeth

green glowing eyes with no whites. just a lighter green

scarring on her arms from burns. her ability is built around lava and if she over uses it then it damages her really bad

she has quite a few tatoos [i dont usually draw this cause im lazy]

while she was in adventure time she became best friends with finn and stayed in the treehouse for years. she met prismo a similar being to her own and still has a wish she can make. prismo warned her she’d need it in the future.

princess bubblegum is the only one to know about lydias family cause one day pb pulled lydia aside and asked her a bunch of probably too invasive questions. its pb what can u expect? [i luv he tho] and lydia overshares a lot so she spilled her guts.

lydias new form [grey skin red eyes] only shows when shes in ninjago but in any other dimension shes back to normal. 

samuru’s main task is now finding lydia and bringing her home. flynn goes between being sick and healthy but his condition is never that stable. megumi is tired and just...needs a break. but her and flynn had another child. eilonwy the sister lydia mentions a lot in my book.

I dont even know why i even wasted a post with yesterdays dream when i had this one. Ok so Kai, Taemin, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Johnny, Baekhyun, Lucas and Chanyeol were all in the living room and there was an ostrich and my sister. We all were sleeping in sleeping bags on floor well I had a mattress everyone else had sleeping bags I had my laptop and i had control of the tv at first it was the mindy project then the Daechwita Mv came on by accident and they were already asleep so i left it.

Then i went to sleep and was awoken to all the boys awake and walking around and the ostrich was running around with pizza in its mouth. Kai Didn't know how to use the microwave and Taemin was playing with my Barbies. Johnny, Jae, Chanyeol and Lucas were just watching tv. Baekhyun was somewhere. So I was in the kitchen helping Kai when i got a phone call and it was Yoongi and the first thing he said was hey baby and the way he said it and i was like okay i see how this is going.

And i was just off in the corner. This tiny little man was saying the dirtiest nastiest things i have ever heard like girl. And i just looked like i was having a good ole time in that corner. Then Jaehyun and Johnny came over there. Jaehyun took my phone and listened and said "who are you talking to?" And johnny was like "yeah who are you talking to" like they were my dad and my dad' s sidekick. Jaehyun said young lady who is this man saying he knows how wet you are and he just wants to taste it. And my little hoe ass was like "ooooh he said that." And i tried to get my phone back cause i could see yoongi was still on the phone but johnny smacked my hand. And told me to go feed the ostrich. I tried to feed it a pb&j sandwhich.
