I've been working for an entire year developing my game - Hoops World. It's set for release this month on Steam.
Because I developed it with Unity, and because Unity has announced an insane pricing strategy - charging per INSTALL instead of per purchase - I can't risk releasing this game because it could end up bankrupting me and my family.
Words cannot describe how devastated I am by this.
Fuck you, John Riccitiello.

map
When it comes to making a map for your game, you have to take care what game do you want to have. Open world games are really hard to make bc of performance troubles, thats why 'chunks' were invented. Loading the whole map all the time will quickly crash your pc, loading only some chunks is much more efficient.
For my game a want to have a not too big open world map, you can go where you want, build bases, etc and you can fight against enemy stuff collect new weapons and poisions/food/... 🔫🧪
There will be destroyed towns, wild forests and left villages

What do these characters have in common?
These four characters from different Assassin's creed games apparently have nothing in common.
But
But
These four characters have something in common that ONLY the Italian gaming community knows.
It's something in which we italians excel around the world 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Guess what...

You know you're absolutely playing a sim/tycoon/factory game right when it starts to drop below 10fps purely from the amount of entities you have on screen
