one thing about biblical womanhood posts that I’ve noticed is that when it’s talked about, they still strive to emphasize the aspects that were remarkable situations— they leave a faint taste of feminism in my mouth because they focus on Deborah, the woman raised up to lead because the men wouldn’t; they focus on Jael, the woman who kills a man with a tent spike; a woman dropping a stone, Rahab smuggling Israelites and defying authorities—
And all of these are raised up and praised as the Biblical woman with just a hint of look!! We’re strong!! We’re in the thick of it!! We’re not submissive doormats!!
In one sense, this is true. These are great, godly women. They are our examples.
But in all our striving to remind people of biblical women’s strength, we cannot forget who else are our examples.
We cannot forget Ruth. Ruth who humbled herself and remains loyal with Naomi, submitting herself to God and trusting in His provision. Ruth who lays herself at Boaz’s feet and who sacrifices possibly being a widow soon again for the sake of Naomi’s care and God’s provision.
Martha— one who serves and who desires to serve
Mary— one who sits at Christ’s feet to learn and desires to hear the words of her Lord
Lydia— who insisted on hosting and serving the Lord’s messengers; who would be possibly sacrificing her wealth being a part of the church in Philippi and serving the church
Mary— Jesus’ mother who submitted herself to God’s will, submitted herself to the scorn of her peers, who trusted the Lord to fulfill His promises and whose soul was pierced with a sword
The strength of godly wives who submit though their flesh and curse is contrary— the strength of women who order their homes, are humble, are helpers, are mothers, are servers, are menders, are teachers, are caregivers, are sellers and makers, are students of our Lord.
Don’t confuse gentleness for weakness; nor tenderness for a lack of strength.
Women are strong.
And it’s not because of tent spikes.

I mean, I like Daigo and Y3 but it's undeniable that a lot of the reason of MineDai being small is cuz Mine, Daigo and Y3 are generally unliked? Not like hated but like just not liked down upon the bigger side of the fandom. Add to that that the yaoi girlies, like us, are just like a fraction of the fandom... well, not exactly big shit to have.
Personally... I'm kinda glad Mine is overlooked cuz... dear fucking god the radioactive waste he could create if he was popular. Mind you, I'm not exactly a Mine fan but I know he would be... not the best for larger audiences.
minedai really is just for us yaoi girlies you're so right .....

Reading your tags, what happened with Andrew Cushin? (just woke up, totally confused catching up with the disaster, I’m so sorry for everyone affected!! How horrible, hope everyone is safe!!)
he deleted the original tweet, but i found a screencap:
(btw the screencap is set to someone else's time; red rock's time zone is only an hour ahead of mine and he DID get to perform)
he has apologized in a few tweets since saying he wasn't aware of the severity of the situation and that's why he deleted the original tweet. but, even if he claims to have not known the severity of things, he was still aware it was hailing HUGE chunks of ice on fans who didn't have any cover over them, as well as the original weather warning that had fans and the show on standby... idk kind of seems like common sense to me that things may be a little more serious?
and seeing that headliner line, which i think is what really got people (myself included) going seeing as this tweet popped up when us non-attending fans were already getting updates about the turning weather from people actually at the show?
like sorry to say but my dude.... you wouldn't have gotten said opportunity to play at such an iconic venue if louis and his team hadn't extended the offer in the first place? it was also a HUGE thing for louis to play there and to, lighthearted or otherwise, make a comment that could easily read like 'rip to the guy who invited me out here, at least i got to play lol!' while fans who largely came for that guy are literally being pelted with ice and had next to no cover or aid to combat said ice storm—or sudden flooding!—and you're already at least kind of aware of the situation.... 😬
sure i think several factors including his timing and wording played him a bad hand here and while he very likely wasn't at all intending to be dismissive, callous, etc. of the overall situation, he was still kind of making light of things and doing so at the worst time possible, only to the come back later and say sorry for a 'little joke made before i understood the severity of things' as if he hadn't pointed out in his original tweet just how crazily it was hailing outside.... at an outdoor venue.... with fans in the stands... idk common sense my friend!
but anyways i hope everyone is alright and was able to receive any aid they needed, as well as get back home/to wherever they're staying safely! 💗
