what happened at laguna seca 2013???

brother what DIDNT happen at laguna seca 2013.... kind of the beautiful beginning of rosquez's relationship while also planting the seeds of its inevitable end...

we must begin with the lead up. pre race was crazy it started at SACHSENRING with cal crutchlow and rosquez being mildly exasperated about the amount of success babychamp is having and teasing him about it potentially continuing into laguna seca. look how pleased marc is. like he literally loves older men idk what to tell you. cal crutchlow also made fun of marc on twitter in this gay ass picture of when marc was chillin in the bay area

and then when they actually get to california, tthis happened immediately. starting off with a homoerotic bang as it were. these pics too. like marc was VIBINGGGG

and then during the race, vale and marc have a lil battle and marc passes him at the corkscrew section of the track in the EXACT same way that vale famously did to casey stoner back in 2008... gifs here, and i talk about the myriad complexes vale mayhaps has about it here

POSTRACE WENT INSANE TOOOO vale choked him in parc ferme for the first time but crucially. not the last. vid here, gifs here. and then they were also fuckign crazy in that post race press conference shit went nuts the quotes were bananas... rife with psychosexual implications and little nuggets of characterization. marc is also flirting with the same methodology of a preteen. which would be more mortifying if vale wasnt also having so much fun... i firmly believe that they fucked here. marc also slapped cal crutchlow in parc ferme so take that as you will. maybe the highest rate of postrace bdsm flirting in motogp history which is a HIGH bar tbh

genuine and very important question for my beatles fans:

why is billy shears always portrayed as paul's character in sgt. pepper's?

paul is the one introducing billy shears in sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band and that song transitions into with a little help from my friends which is sung by ringo, so shouldn't billy be ringo's character?

also, i think if paul's character is a murderer who tried to kill paul, why not call him maxwell silverhammer or maxwell edison? makes more sense, no? billy was framed for the murder attempt on paul by maxwell all along!

Jack’s natural curiosity and tendency to see the potential for good in others would make him more open-minded about Ivy and her friends, despite not fully understanding their past actions.

And Manolo ...Manolo’s natural optimism and belief in second chances would likely lead him to be open-minded about Ivy and her group, but he’d still be cautious, trusting the judgment of his friends while remaining hopeful about the possibility of redemption.

Either way, the guys would have had completely different Presentations about her.

Some like Daniel and Lewis They don't really believe in her, and some are like Jack and Manolo They have hope that she will change.

It's an odd thing to focus on, but now I wanna know the family's breakfast preferences after watching the scene where Maddie prepares it for the boys. She has two platefuls of food before noticing Knuckles' throne, and Sonic is about to grab one of them before he sees it too, but we've also got grapes (no guessing who that's for), watermelon and orange juice on the kitchen table where Maddie's getting everything together.

Whatever Maddie is making sure looks good! It looks like she made the boys bacon, a bagel with cream cheese, pancakes (which has been stated as Sonic Wachowski’s favorite breakfast food), and egg whites. Looks like she’s got a green goddess drink for them as well.

Ooh! Could you imagine the fun they’d have with making breakfast together?! Like, making breakfast tacos with pancakes as tortilla shells? I bet that’s always fun.

For Vincent:

🍇: What sort of friend are they? Where are they in the group dynamic?

Vincent has always been a really quiet guy, especially around groups of people. He was rarely part of friend groups, and when he was, mostly by the end of highschool/early college days, he'd usually be the guy who almost never shows up to social events but always helps with his friends' homework and papers and was generally nice to have one-on-one conversations with(he's very good at listening to others, though he doesn't share much about himself). In large groups though, he'd mostly stand around, nod awkwardly and go smoke in a corner whenever possible, counting the hours until he could go home.

As a friend, though, like a close friend, he's much more talkative. If he's comfortable with someone and cares about them, he'll share things about himself and will be mindful and helpful whenever possible. Basically, as a close friend, he opens up, but if you're not close, you're likely to get a guy who's polite and helpful but doesn't talk much.

🍉: Does your OC have a particular piece of jewellery that they always wear or refuse to part with?

Nothing that he wears, but he does have something he keeps at home and refuses to throw away, which is an old watch he got as a gift from his boyfriend in college before he was embraced. The watch no longer works.

When he was embraced he had to leave his old life behind and keep everyone distant to protect them from other kindred, so the breakup with his boyfriend came as something very sudden. He'd been with him for about 4 months- he wasn't in love yet, and falling in love has always been something that takes time for Vincent, but he still felt incredibly guilty. He broke up over the phone because he didn't have the heart to face him, but he could hear how shocked and betrayed the boy felt just from the tone of his voice. That was the last time they spoke, and he's never seen him again. The watch isn't really a memento, it's more like something he keeps out of guilt, feeling as if it'd be disrespectful or wrong to throw it away. He keeps it in a box inside his wardrobe, next to a couple of shirts he never wears. Sometimes he forgets it's there, sometimes he sees it and remembers and feels like shit all over again, and every time this happens he thinks about throwing it away, but then doesn't.

For Pepper:

🍰: What's something your OC counts as unforgivable?

Hmmm, before the embrace it would've been to be lied to or cheated on, but after the embrace she had to get used really fast to the idea of being constantly lied to and backstabbed and then having to turn around and still work with the people who did that to her. I'd say truly unforgivable would be to go through that with someone she trusts. She can forgive Jeanette lying to her to get back at Therese because she barely knows her and didn't have an emotional attachment to her before it happened, but if Vincent backstabbed her after everything they go through together in the story, she'd hunt him for sport. It's not only him, though, and it happened with Smiling Jack, when she found out he'd placed the C4 on the sarcophagus and she'd really come to trust him and even see him as a father figure. Years later she's still mad at him and is very unlikely to ever forgive him. She wouldn't fight him, though. She's not insane.

🍪: What is something that's sentimental to your OC?

There's not a lot of things Pepper kept from before she was embraced- especially being quite far from home when it happened- but one thing that survived the attack was her wallet, and in it there's a picture of her younger brother that she hasn't gotten rid of and likely never will. Unlike Vincent's watch, this is an actual memento. She misses him when she looks at it, and she does wish she didn't have to leave the way she did, but she's also reminded of how much she loves him and how staying away is likely for the best. She knows he'll be fine without her, as he's proven he can be many times before, and he has friends and a girlfriend who's incredibly sweet and loves him very much. It's bittersweet that she can't be a part of his life anymore, but the picture still serves as a reminder of her own humanity and her capacity for love.

Honestly I think the biggest difference between her and Vincent when it comes to their embraces is how ready they were to leave their lives behind. Vincent wasn't ready at all, he had his whole future planned out, he was heading somewhere, he had a family and a relationship and was close to getting a degree, full of expectations for the future. Pepper was aimless, no plans or hope for the future and even felt as if she was being left behind by her brother as he was getting ready to propose to his girlfriend and move in with her. Pepper felt purposeless, and after the embrace, she had a purpose. Vincent was full of purpose, and after the embrace, he felt empty. So I feel like that's why they dealt with things in a very different way.

At this point I feel it’s mandatory to have an OC rant, so..

Cain Infodump:

-Cain stands at around 200 feet tall, and carries a massive sword on his back (I didn’t do it justice here)

-His helmet unhinges both from the top or bottom, meaning he can show either the top or bottom half of his face. This works for him since he usually wants to keep it on.

-His face under that helmet is pretty scarred (big tear in his lip that exposes his teeth, burn marks, a nose that’s been broken often). He avoids showing his face if he can. If you’re familiar with how the “steel bull” torture device muffles the screams of its victims to make the sound of a bull, Cain’s helm works w that same distortion tactic, but since his vocal cords are much deeper due to his size, it gives the impression of a roar rather than a battlecry!

-Cain is secretly scared of putting others and himself in harm’s way, so he tends to drive other people away by being intimidating or cold towards them. If he has the choice not to, he won’t hurt people, but when he gets pushed to his limit, Cain can be absolutely brutal. Though, unless someone directly harms him, it’d take a feat to break his patience.

-Good god he’s so sweet with children. This man has CRAZY parental instincts, and actually was a father in the past (was). Obviously he wouldn’t threaten a child or anything, but oughhh if he sees someone endanger them there’s no saying how pissed he’d be.

-Cain tends to use terms of endearment for those he grows close to, such as dear, darling, etc.

-As for dietary habits, he mainly hunts big game and the other 20% of the time he fucks around in the ocean (poorly).

-UNDER CAIN’S HELMET: I don’t think I’ll draw his face anytime soon so here’s a descriptor of the un-skrewed up parts of his appearance. His eyes are yellow, he has long black hair that slightly protrudes from the back of his helm, sharper teeth, and a forked tongue that really just looks more like it was split because why not.
