req: Hi I really liked your fic with Athena and I would like the same fic with Hades if you don't mind. Thanks in advance!
yandere PJO! Hades x demigod! darling 💀🐺👑 - general hcs

I would like to start off by establishing that I truly and firmly believe that Hades would NEVER hurt you or torture you like some of the other gods and goddesses *agressive coughing* Athena, Ares and Hera *more aggresive coughing*
Well and truly he is too in love with you to even THINK about that
I mean have you seen how he reacted to Persephone hating him at the start of their relationship???
Anyways, I believe that the way you would meet is if you were a mother figure to Nico
Nico was immediately drawn to you, an older camper who had stayed back to help Chiron as a counsellor
You weren't afraid of him like most other councellors, rather, like Percy and Annabeth, you saw him as more of what he was; a child who just needed love and affection, a neglected and abandoned child who had to grow up too soon
He's rightfully suspicious and offstanding to you at first but if you act the correct way around him, he definitely takes to you
He starts opening up to you about different things, how he felt about his sister's death, how he felt about Jason's death and how he was struggling to see the point in anything
Comforting him at any time late in the night because he's anxious and depressed and being the one to introduce him to Will also helps :)
I think after he starts dating Will is when he takes you to introduce you to his dad because he finally feels like he has a mother
And that is when you, unfortunately, catch the attention of the Lord of the Dead himself
It's very very hard to gain Nico's trust, considering what he's been through, Hades knew you must have a heart of gold or atleast cared about Nico to have one around him
He finds you intriguing, the way you stand tall to him and only give him a stiff bow, how you roam about and talk to his ghoul servants with ease and of course, how well you're able to take care of and calm down Nico
So his inner stalker starts acting up and he starts sending his servants to spy on you, following you around in the darkness, watching you in the shadows, showing up in your dreams, resulting in them melting into nightmares
Waking up trembling and sweating because of the horrifying creatures and distant memories tormenting you :(
Hades hates tormenting (traumatizing) you but he can't really help it since he needs to know your routine to kidnap you
Actually, I don't know why I censored that, he does kidnap you
He basically sets his furies on your ass which sucks for you but he had no choice
Like imagine just having a quiet, comfortable time in your cabin, all alone with just a nice book and your favourite drink
And then screeching she-demons descend on you and literally drag you all the way to the underworld
Of course, you were having absolutely NONE of that, kicking and screaming
But he gets you eventually
As soon as they deposited you in your bedroom, the man himself comes to see you
Hades confesses to you immediately and tells you he loves you
You immediately remember the story of Persephone and shove him away in horror
From then on, it's just a never ending cycle of him trying to win you over with his wealth and confessions of undying love
Visiting your bedroom everyday with flowers from Persephone's garden
They're beautiful of course but that doesn't mean you'll forgive him
Chucking things from your incredibly expensive bedroom at him while he just stands there and stares at you sadly before leaving
Yelling at him and begging for him to take you back home but he just shakes his head no and apologizes to you over and over
This could go either of two ways, depending on the kind of person you are
1. You keep fighting against him until you finally give in, accepting your situation and deciding to make the most of it
2. You accept his love, thinking that it's better to have undying love than mortal love
He'll be delighted when you finally storm out of your room and go to his throne room, calmly informing him that you accept his proposal
He ADORES you
He's very clingy and he wants you in the throne room with him at all times
He's the kind of person to stare at you for hours and get completely distracted from his job
Like most of the times, you're gonna have to be the one to interview the souls who come to meet him because he's too busy gazing at you
He loves being romantic and will wake you up every day with flowers
He isn't very touchy-feely, he's more of a gift giver kind of person
I mean, he's the god of wealth for god's sake
He will literally get you ANYTHING you want
Even if it's sold out EVERYWHERE, he will personally commission Hephaestus to make it for you
Literally dream of anything, anything that you could possibly want and boom, the next morning, you wake up with it on your bedside table
All he wants in return is a little kiss every day and you telling him you love him
He's one of the gods who will let you roam the above world
He knows that he treats you so well, you'll come back to him anyways
He loves taking you on romantic dates to literally any place you want
Renting out the Eiffel tower just for the two of you is quite the common occurrence, it's his favourite place for a date <3
Complete gentleman, notices everything about you and will literally just chuck money at people, gods, ghosts and monsters alike to make whatever you want happen
Even the slightest show of affection from you is enough to make this poor god pass OUT
Like imagine picking a pretty flower from the above world for him and presenting it to him in the throne room??
He almost fainted of happiness and immediately ordered it to be planted in the royal garden so he could go and gaze at it for eternity
He's in the seventh heaven when you tell him you love him
For everyone wondering what's going on on the Persephone aspect of things, I think she'd be pretty damn pissed at first
Not only because he kidnapped ANOTHER girl
But also because that's her husband??
But unlike Minthe, he actually defends you and refuses to let her hurt you or turn you into a plant and crush you
Eventually, depending on your behaviour and attitude towards her, Persephone will either hate you but not do anything about it, learn to tolerate you OR she'll love you <3
Maybe a little too much....
I mean, you caught her husband's eye....so surely there's something about you that intrigues her too....
But that's a good thing!.....right?
Good luck to you if she ends up turning yandere for you because she is definitely not as soft-hearted and non-violent as Hades
Either way, living in the underworld turns out not to be so bad, especially when you can wander around in your choice of clothes all day, throw money around on things you want, living in a gigantic palace decorated to your design and basically do whatever you like in return for loving an actually really sweet god
Y'know, even if it IS completely filled with spirits and zombies
But that's just minor details in exchange for literally anything in the world....right?
Also, Cerberus ADORES you
Even if you have dog allergies, since he isn't technically a real dog, his 'fur' doesn't affect you
Will follow you around everywhere, begging for pets with all 6 of those cute puppy eyes
Also loves playing fetch :3
Once Nico found out that his father kidnapped you, his reaction was something along the lines of silent, shocked staring
"Nico...I can expla-"
"What. The. Fu-"
He gets used to it pretty fast, he's used to his father's weird, obsessive antics by now
And besides, it just means he gets to spend more time with you <3
I have this irrelevant hc that he likes dragging you with him to his father's throne room and giving him a forceful makeover, just to embarrass him
Hades puts up with it, mostly because he's a softie
In terms of punishments and such, the only time he'd really get pissed is if you tried cheating on him
Like he is so whipped for you that he is willing to let anything slide...except for disloyalty
Even then, the most he'll do is isolate you
He really can't keep himself away from you either
Mostly, he'll just send his minions to guard you a lot more
Which is just more inconvenient and annoying than anything mentally damaging
Overall, he's one of the tamest yanderes in terms of Greek gods
He really doesn't want to hurt you, he just wants you to stay with him forever
He's just clingy :)

Hiii!
I just recently saw your PJO fanfics about Nico and I loved them.
And I also noticed the severe lack of PJO x male reader fics in general. So I was hoping if you could write a fanfic with son of Demeter reader x Percy Jackson. (Can be a fanfic or just headcannons ur choice)
You don't have to do this request but it would be nice ^-^
Alright ty for listening to my Ted talk
Wildflower (Percy Jackson x Son of Demeter)
Thanks for the request :) You really had me dig out my books to remember how Demeter was portrayed, and surprisingly, she's kind, so it wasn't much trouble doing this request. It seems I got carried away, so I hope you enjoy!
tags: fluff, some angst, overprotective Demeter, who knows who your father is, headcanon and fanfic, mentions of calypso, break up/make up

Being a son of Demeter is a big deal. Because although she wasn't a virgin like Artemis or Hestia, it was rather difficult for a mortal to catch her attention. So not only are you a demigod but also cursed (lucky) to be a descendent of such an esteemed goddess.
Compared to other campers, you don't hate your godly parent. Sure, your mom is absent for many things and your memories of her are rather scarce, but, on the flip side, you are made aware of just how much your mother loves you. Afterall, you are her youngest child and she must keep an eye on you.
So, when news reaches her that you've begun dating Percy Jackson, she grows overprotective. What do you expect? After the whole fiasco with your sister, Persephone, she wants the best for her son. So expect the goddess to keep an eye on you two.
Percy doesn't mind your mother's overbearingness. In fact, it reminds him of his own mother. However, this doesn't mean that Percy is reckless. Demeter might be kind, but inquiring her wrath was stupid. So, he's extra careful and strives to show respect to the goddess—never stepping on flowers, always keeping a respectful distance from sacred plants, and treating every piece of nature as if Demeter herself is watching.
It takes some time, but your mother comes around. In fact, she's pleased you found someone 'worthy' of your affections. This might or might not have something to do with the fact that Percy has begun helping you tend a garden dedicated to her. Growing flowers known to be sacred to Demeter, like poppies and wheat. They work on it together, Percy’s hands clumsy but earnest.
Not everything in your relationship is easy. There are times, winter and fall especially, when your mood is foul and Percy is no help at all. His recklessness and impulsivity always ticks you off, but none more so when he keeps secrets from you. Like how Calypso kissed him before departing Ogygia.
The moment you saw him walking down the hill, something was off. He had that nervous look in his sea-green eyes, the one he got when he was about to face something dangerous—only this time, it was you. You crossed your arms, trying to root yourself in place, like your mother, Demeter, had taught you. But the anger simmering inside made that hard.
Percy reached you, giving a half-hearted smile. “Hey, I—”
“You kissed her?” Your words cut through the air like a sharp gust of wind.
Percy blinked, looking caught off guard. “What? No, it’s not like that—”
“Don’t lie to me, Percy.” You felt your fists tighten, your connection to the earth deepening as the grass beneath your feet curled and twisted with your emotions. “You let her kiss you, didn’t you?”
His brows furrowed, and he stepped closer. “It wasn’t like that. Calypso was—she was saying goodbye. It wasn’t…I didn’t want to hurt her.”
“You didn’t want to hurt her?” You repeated, the words feeling bitter on your tongue. “What about me? Or did you think I wouldn’t find out?”
Percy exhaled sharply, rubbing the back of his neck, clearly frustrated. “I was stuck on her island. I didn’t ask to be there! She kissed me because she had to say goodbye to something she couldn’t keep. It wasn’t my choice.”
You laughed, but it was bitter, like the taste of dry soil. “Maybe not, but you didn’t stop her either.”
Percy’s eyes flashed with frustration, the sea’s storm brewing behind them. “Come on, that’s not fair!” he snapped, his voice rising above the whispering trees. “I was stuck on a cursed island, not on some vacation! What was I supposed to do? Tell her no? I didn’t exactly have a lot of options.”
You took a step back, the sting of his words making your chest tighten. But anger pushed you forward again, overriding any hint of reason. “No, what’s unfair is me thinking you were gone, Percy!” Your voice cracked, but you didn’t care. The pain had to come out somehow. “I waited here for weeks, wondering if this was the quest that would take you away from me forever. Did you even think once of me while you were away? Or was Calypso the only thing on your mind?”
Percy opened his mouth, but for a moment, no words came out. The guilt that flashed across his face was brief, but it was there, plain as day. “Of course I thought of you,” he said, his voice softer now, though still tinged with frustration. “I thought about you every single day. But I was stuck on that island with no way out. It wasn’t about wanting to be with her. I was just trying to survive.”
“And that’s supposed to make it okay?” You could feel the vines creeping up again, brushing against your ankles like a reminder of everything you were trying to hold in. “You were trapped; I get that. But a kiss, Percy? Do you know how that sounds?”
“I didn’t want this to happen,” he whispered, his voice softer now, almost pleading. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
You looked away, blinking back the sting of tears you refused to let him see. “Well, you did.”
The silence between you was heavy, thicker than any storm. Percy stared at you, guilt and regret etched into every line of his face. “I don’t know how to fix this,” he said, almost to himself.
You swallowed hard, forcing the lump in your throat down. “I don’t either, but right now, I need to figure out if I even want to.”
To say Demeter was mad at Percy is an understatement. The goddess's wrath casted a dark cloud over Camp Half-Blood that left even the bravest demigods feeling uneasy. Percy found himself stuck inside his cabin, trapped by an invisible force of nature, the very flora that usually thrived in the camp now threatening to attack him.
Not even Poseidon, the god of the sea, could ease some of Demeter’s anger. He tried to vouch for Percy and his love for you, yet the mere mention of Percy's name caused your mother to shake the ground beneath him. That was the first and last time he meddled in your affairs.
The campers were worried for both of you—the fight had clearly affected everyone, their agriculture suffering greatly, but they truly believed you guys were it. So it pained them to see the perfect couple at the verge of going seperate ways.
It was Annabeth who managed to get you two to talk things through. With her acting as the mediator, you three were locked inside a room and forced to speak about your feelings. Looking back, it was comical how it closely resembled marriage counseling.
The room felt thick with tension, every breath heavy as if weighed down by the unspoken emotions swirling between you, Percy, and Annabeth. You sat on the edge of the worn-out couch, legs bouncing anxiously, eyes fixed on the floor as if the threadbare carpet held the answers you desperately sought. Percy was beside you, close but not close enough. The usual warmth of his presence felt distant, and though you could sense his guilt radiating off him, it wasn’t enough to bridge the gap.
Annabeth stood before you both, arms crossed over her chest, her expression a blend of sympathy and frustration. She was here as a mediator, but even the daughter of Athena couldn’t easily navigate this emotional minefield. “Let’s just go over the events,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady. She turned to Percy, urging him to explain. “What led to the kiss?”
Percy sighed deeply, running a hand through his unruly hair as he gathered his thoughts. “Calypso gave me some items—supplies, food—and made sure the raft was stable enough to withstand the ocean’s currents. I was grateful; she’d done so much to help me. So, I turned to say goodbye and thank her when she…when she suddenly kissed me.” He glanced at you, his eyes pleading. “M/N, please believe me when I say that I didn’t reciprocate—I didn’t want it.”
You finally looked up, eyes locking onto his with an intensity that made him flinch. “That’s not the problem, Percy,” you said, your voice surprisingly calm but laced with hurt. “What hurt me was that you didn’t push her away, that she thought you were interested enough to even try.”
You paused, swallowing the lump in your throat as you tried to keep your composure. “During your time on Ogygia, did you ever once mention that you had a boyfriend? Did you ever think of me when you were with her?”
Percy’s eyes widened in panic, the hurt in your words cutting deeper than any monster’s blade ever could. He reached out, but his hand fell short, hovering between you as if afraid to cross the fragile line that now separated you two. Desperation filled his voice as he finally spoke, each word trembling with urgency and raw honesty.
“I did tell her,” Percy blurted, his voice cracking. “Gods, I talked about you all the time. From the moment I set foot on that island, I told Calypso about you. Every single day. I told her how you were waiting for me, how you were my anchor—my reason for fighting and my reason I couldn’t stay with her. She knew, M/N. She knew you were my everything.” He ran a hand over his face, trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill.
Annabeth’s expression softened as she glanced at you, silently urging you to listen. Percy’s words were coming from the heart, and even she couldn’t deny the sincerity in his voice. But the pain in your eyes remained.
“When I first got there, I was barely conscious,” Percy continued, his voice softer now, tinged with a mix of sorrow and desperation. “I was so beaten up, so tired, and all I could do was mumble your name. Over and over, even in my sleep. She heard me say it—Calypso heard me calling out for you, asking for you.” He paused, swallowing hard. “She knew there was someone else. She knew how much I loved you. I made it clear, but I didn’t push her away fast enough. I was stupid, and I’m so sorry.”
You felt your heart twist at his confession, the image of Percy lying on that distant shore, broken and alone, but still calling out for you. It was the kind of story you had dreamed about before—the hero fighting impossible odds, returning home to the one he loved. But now, hearing it from his lips, the romance was stripped away, leaving only the raw truth of a mistake made in a vulnerable moment.
Annabeth cleared her throat, trying to diffuse the tension, but even she seemed at a loss. “Look,” she said gently, “what matters now is where you go from here. You two have been through worse together. If you still want this—if you still want each other—then you’ll find a way.”
Percy reached out again, hesitantly, his fingers brushing against yours. “I’m not perfect, M/N. I screw up, and I hurt you, but I want to make this right. I love you, and I’ll spend every day proving it if you’ll let me.”
Even if you forgive Percy, you take baby steps to rebuild your trust. You agree to talk more openly about your feelings and avoid keeping secrets from one another. Percy goes out of his way to make you feel valued, leaving you notes, planning small dates, and constantly reminding you how much you mean to him.
Percy knows he didn't only need to seek forgiveness from you, but your mother. To truly show his commitment, he request a chance to speak to the goddess. It’s terrifying—facing the goddess’s wrath head-on—but he humbly apologizes and explains how deeply he loves you, promising to never let you feel sidelined again. Demeter doesn’t forgive easily, but she appreciates Percy’s bravery and sincerity, granting her reluctant approval with a warning not to hurt her son again.
To solidify his commitment, Percy organizes a surprise picnic in the strawberry fields—your favorite spot. It’s filled with your favorite foods, and Percy shyly presents a flower crown he made himself, though it’s a little uneven. It’s simple but heartfelt, symbolizing his renewed promise to always cherish you.
After reconciling, you and Percy start talking about your future together, beyond Camp Half-Blood. You both decide that New Rome is the perfect place to build a life after everything you’ve been through. The idea of living among other demigods and having a peaceful life feels like a dream finally within reach.
The move to New Rome is filled with excitement and nerves. You find a cozy apartment together, and even simple things like grocery shopping or decorating the space feel like small adventures. It’s a fresh start, and every day feels like you’re building something new, hand in hand.
One evening after a particularly good day—whether it’s celebrating an exam passed or simply enjoying each other’s company—Percy gets down on one knee. He doesn’t have a grand speech prepared; he just tells you how much you mean to him and how he can’t imagine a life without you. The ring is simple, with a small gemstone that reminds you of the sea, and you say yes without hesitation.
Surrounded by your friends from Camp Half-Blood and New Rome, you and Percy get married in a beautiful ceremony filled with flowers and ocean-themed decorations. Demeter attends, blessing the union with flourishing blooms, a sign of her approval and happiness for you both. The ceremony is intimate, filled with laughter, tears, and the undeniable feeling that you’ve both found your forever.

They grow up so fast.
Rhea's and Cronos's kids. Yes, all together for one pic. No, they didn't fight, I didn't bribe them, no one was hurt this was a peaceful affair I am totally fine and I totally did not stitch single portraits together because it was less of a hassle.
Oh, a few of them transitioned their appearance growing up. They have their reasons.
👀 Detail below from left to right (with a few shoutouts) 👀
Poseidon Enosichthon (Enesidaone) Themeliouchos — The pale, lively kid with the always busy hands. What happened to him? A younger brother and his detached father, basically. He's excited about life in general, but still very bad at saying no to his family (or anything else), so he'll end up doing everything at once and trouble always finds him. Being the middle kid ain't always easy.
Big shoutout to @rin-sith for the huge inspiration her Poseidon design was for his clothes and armour pieces. My Poseidon doesn't believe in clothes, usually.
Demeter Sito Thesmophorus — Though she isn't technically the big sister, she always took to the task of keeping her arms open for her siblings, no matter the grief it brought her. Always will she be singing songs, in part to forget the lot bestowed on her by her brothers and her father and keep on – but also in part to give the joys of life to gods and mortals who walk her realm and feel at ease with her. As Rhea's kid she'll uphold tradition gently and firmly, and feed everyone who comes to her table, even if it costs her.
Hestia — She might be gentle, but she can never be forgotten. To all that come to her hearth she will listen and grant them protection, even if this sacred solemnity cost her the arms of a lover. She is a lover to none, and loved by all, first she receives sacrifice. Herons gave her their wings to stoke flame, brush out cold cinders. She would rather her skin be stained white by flour than black by soot, though. Her baking is still the very best.

Zeus Olympios Panhellenios — Wide are the shoulders of this son of titans, and they carry burdens of judgement across all Greece. Over the years he aquired a thick skin on them, but never do the troubles of his family wear him down for long, although the same family has brought him to the brink of constant paranoia. The jewellery he chose to wear on the day Typhon cleared out Olympus is something he will never again take off, like the memory and fear of defeat it is part of him, conductor to lightning and passion.
A big grateful nod to @justcommander for the long and wonderful talks about Typhon, he is part of all my thoughts about Zeus now.
Hera Syzygia Alexandros — The sharp eyes of this queen of queens will trace you through darkest night. By her fathers sickle and her great veil she safeguards and upholds sacred laws and traditions and unions, and as protector of men her word triumphs. A guardian of women, she neither tolerates betrayal nor does she hold the cutting edge of her jealousy back for the sake of those who must obey discriminating law against those who the same law allows to overstep a hallowed bond of two. The shade of Baphomet suits you, honey.
Hades — In form and might and character he outgrew his father by far. He is still the same quiet and thoughtful person, but despite the darkness, he, too, is a guardian of life, a keeper of flames. In his gentle hand rests the light of life, on his other arm coils the means to give it, to take it away. Fiercely he rules over the line between realms, allowing hardly any crossing, but on a late summers evening he'll walk the golden shaded groves among the company of all flowers of the earth, too.
See, lovely @ruthlessness69 , how confident he has grown? The kindness of your Hades helped him. A lot! Ask Persephone, though, she'll tell you that he can solve his beloved crosswords without extra light, because he is still a big glowing kid in his heart.

All designs by me. Rhea's aspects come with a broader frame, more pronounced colours and animal traits, and no fear to show skin. Cronos shows in matters of lines, contrast and temper, and a certain tendency towards introversion.
So, what do you think? Next level eldritch? 🖤

"Deja! Diamond! Destiny! Wake up!"
She stirred from her slumber, her eyes fluttering open to the sunlight peeking through the blinds with her body rustling in the light green bed sheets from the voice of her mother, no choice but Deja rubbed her eyes and sat up, yawning. She looked around her room, taking in the familiar surroundings. Her walls were painted a soft lavender, decorated with posters of her favorite artists and pictures of her friends and family scattered around. Her desk was cluttered with perfume and a makeup kit, nasty memories of last night with Cane.
She glanced at her phone on the nightstand, seeing that it was already 9am. She had planned to sleep in on this lazy Sunday, but her mother had other plans.
Deja stretched and swung her legs over the edge of the bed, her feet touching the soft carpet. She stood up, feeling slightly groggy but knowing she had to start her day.
The siblings walked into the kitchen, where their mother was already cooking breakfast. The smell of bacon and eggs filled the room.
Deja and her siblings shuffled out of their bedrooms and into the kitchen. Yawns escaped their lips as they stretched their limbs, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. Destiny, her head resting on Diamond's shoulder, asked their mother, "Mama, where are we going?"
"Tonight's big event calls for a shopping spree, and we've been invited as a powerful family. However, the Tejadas are also on the guest list, so it's important for us to keep your distance and keep your head on swivel ladies okay? Let's make sure we're prepared." Dana cautioned with a serious tone.
"Bring it on! I dare them to fuck with us!" Destiny declared with a fierce look in her eyes. With a swift motion, she unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks into the air, In a burst of energy, she delivered a powerful kick to the nearby chair, shattering it into pieces against the wall.
"Destiny Marie Pierce, what did we say about doing martial arts in the kitchen?" Their Mom scolded with a head tilt.
"Only do martial arts when you feel threatened or in danger or need to defend yourself.." Destiny repeated, reciting her mother's words.
She felt the familiar vibrations in her pocket, she fished out her phone to see two new messages awaiting her attention. With a quick glance, her eyes widened at the senders - one from her boyfriend Romeo and the other from Cane.
Romeo. 😒
I'm coming by to the big town event tonight, love you.❤️😌
Cane. 🥷🏾🖤
I'll see you tonight right?😏
"Shit." Deja mentally cursing, she swiftly returned the device to her pocket, wary of any prying eyes, especially those of her nosy sisters.
She smacked her lips in irritation with her head shaking slowly, either this night will be worst or nasty.
♡♥︎♡
"We are proud to welcome the Tejada family and Pierce family at this event, take your time to eat, visit the mansion behind you and relax." The Mayor announced, smiling to the crowd.
Following the introduction, people separated into smaller groups with the magnificent mansion looming in the background underneath the lush, green grass. The landscape was breathtaking, adorned with a few majestic trees, a serene koi fish river on both sides of the bridge, and a rustic brown flat bridge that led to the mansion's back door. The lantern lights illuminated both sides of the bridge, casting a radiant glow on the surroundings.
Deja's ginger box braids were tied back neatly in a ponytail, drawing attention to her jet-black long-sleeved turtle neck. The knee-length black skirt and matching cardigan pooled her figure, while the black Converse adorned her feet. Clear lip gloss adorned her lips and a gold necklace with her first initial 'D.' hung around her neck. Completing her outfit was her Louis Vuitton purse, held gracefully in her hands.
The only plan she made in the back of her mind was to avoid Cane as much as possible, she knew he was going to catch up but when Romeo was around her, Cane was lingering in her mind.
"What's up, baby?" Romeo greeted her, kissing her cheek, wrapping his arms around her waist lovingly, "You good?" The mocha brown-skinned male with his brown eyes, asked his girlfriend, confusion etched on his face.
"Hey Romeo, I'm fine. Let's head into the mansion, I want to explore the place." she lied, masking her true emotions with a forced smile, while trying to avoid Cane's piercing gaze. Taking hold of Romeo's hand, she led him towards the bridge that lead to the back door of the house.
Cane rolled his eyes at Romeo, her boyfriend wasn't a threat to him because he knew he could kill him in a second and wouldn't try anything. "What's up baby? Bitch ass nigga." He mocked him under his breath.
He turned shifted his attention toward Monet. She gave him a glare. "What?" He asked, shrugging his shoulders as if she didn't know what he was up to something.
Monet's hand landed on his shoulder with a firm grip as she shot him a serious look. "Listen to me carefully Cane," She warned. "Stay the hell away from Deja. We don't fuck with them, got it?" Her finger pointed towards Deja and Romeo, who walking away. The tone of her voice wasn't enough to make him listen.
"Got it."
♡♥︎♡
Deja and Romeo stepped into the mansion from the back door, the living room was huge with a high ceiling and a grand fireplace in the center. The furniture looked antique and expensive. Deja felt a sense of relief and uneasiness wash over her. Romeo pulled her onto his lap with his hand, "Are you sure you're okay?" he pecked her cheek.
Deja quickly rose from his lap, "I told you a billion times that I'm okay—" She was cut off by Cane walking from the back door, closing and locking the door behind him while Romeo stood in front of her, an evil grin spread across his face.
"So this is your boyfriend right Deja?" Cane grinned evilly, stepping closer to them.
"What the fuck do you want Cane, leave me and my girl alone." Romeo snapped, his eyes tightening at him.
"She's not your girl when she's screaming my name, when I'm fucking her right and I bet Deja forgets your name too."
The man narrowed his eyes, but didn't say anything and shot a dirty look at Deja, "Is this true? You've been cheating on me with this nigga?" Romeo asked her, waving his hands in disbelief.
"Yes, there I said it but Romeo you're not that good in bed—" Deja was cut off by Cane.
Cane let out a disapproving tsk as he advanced towards Romeo, his fist landing heavily on the younger man's cheek, staining the cream carpet with blood. He followed up the attack with a forceful blow to Romeo's stomach, causing him to crumple to the ground. Deja rolled her eyes in irritation as Cane continued his assault, kicking Romeo in the face. "Bitch ass nigga, she's mine," Cane snarled possessively.
"Fuck the both of you.." Romeo limped out of the mansion and closed the door behind him.
"Cane you can't—" but Cane's hand swiftly gripped her neck, pulling her into a passionate kiss. Their tongues entwined, tilting his head to deepen the kiss as they exchanged saliva in an intimate manner. Deja's hands gently caressed Cane's face as she let out a soft moan, lost in the moment.
♡♥︎♡
He lifted his Deja up by her thighs, her naked back pressed firmly against the wall, with her arms wrapped tight around his neck. Her legs were wrapped around his slim torso, and Cane positioned himself in between her legs. His intense gaze was locked on hers, as his dick slowly slipped in between her folds, inch by inch, her wet walls gripping around him. He groaned raspily as he buried his face into the crook of her neck. "I love this pussy." He groaned, trailing wet kisses along the curve of her neck. Her response was immediate, "I love this dick." His slim hips bucked into her at a rough yet fast pace, her back arching.
Deja moaned loudly, her fingernails digging into Cane's shoulders as he continued to thrust into her with increasing speed and force. Her body was on fire, every nerve ending tingling with pleasure as he hit every sweet spot inside of her.
The doorknob suddenly jiggled while she felt her climax arriving along with Cane thrusting faster to catch up to his own release, "Shit! I'm cummin—" before she could say anything, Cane covered her mouth with his hand as his thrusts grew sloppy and slow, her moans vibrated on the palm of his hand, "Ah shit! I'm right behind you baby..." he groaned lowly, she cried out through her mouth as it crashed over her in waves, she came undone on his dick while her body convulsed in ecstasy. In return, Cane spilled his warm seed deep inside of her as he groaned her name, he filled her completely.
With a sudden creak, the door burst open, shattering their intimate moment. Cane quickly pulled out of Deja, helping her back onto her feet as they hastily scrambled to cover themselves. They spun around, startled to find Tariq standing in the doorway, his eyes wide with shock. "Oh shit, sorry y'all!" he blurted out, swiftly shutting the door behind him.
"Maybe knock next time Tariq!" Deja yelled at him, rolling her eyes at him. Tariq's face twisted in confusion and wondered why Deja and Cane were together in the bathroom, aren't they supposed to be enemies? he mentally said to himself.
Deja and Cane exchanged a glance, their faces flushing with embarrassment and surprise. "I'll see you later baby," Cane said tenderly, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. As their lips parted, a thin trail of saliva lingered between them, leaving Deja feeling flustered and aroused.
"Damn, I love you," Cane whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to Deja's forehead. "I love you too," she replied, snuggling into his embrace for a bit.
Deja watched him leave the room. She knew that Tariq would try to figure out something from what he just saw, but for now, she just needed some time to process it all. Her phone buzzed three as she grabbed it out of her purse. Peeking at text messages from her family members and Cane.

You know what, let's drop all the Headcanon Names we had for people that got updated with sotr. I'll start
Katniss' dad-John Brown Everdeen (I had a whole thing about he's Maud Ivory's kid and her giving him a double ballad name was her way of memorializing Lucy Gray, as was naming him after a revolutionary)
Katniss' mom- Rosemary. (I never had a maiden name for her but someone said Rosemary and I thought that was a lovely medical plant inspired name)
Haymitch's brother -Aiden. (No particular reason. @bestnoncannonship came up with it and she likes to give all younger siblings A names in honor of her sister)
Haymitch's girl - Maryallan ( another one of @bestnoncannonship 's ideas. The A is intentional names drift over time, Hamish>Haymitch, Peter>Peeta. So Mary Ellen became Maryallan, one word. )
Effie's sister- I called Effie was an older sister ! My name for her was Antonia, Effie and her don't get along well. She's a librarian with two dreadful children Effie feels bad for hating but they're spoiled brats, and a husband so awful that even their mother dislikes him. I think Effie and Proserpina get along a lot better, but I'm still keeping the dreadful children and husband she'll eventually get, Effie's just more "what does she see in him?" And less "they deserve each other"
Also, like most of the fandom I headcanoned Effie's full name as Euphemia, but with her sister being Proserpina, my brain has updated that to Persephone, so she and her sister have the same name sake, which I think would annoy her and make her go by Effie. And is all kinds of fun and fitting that she's a goddess of spring and death. But that headcanon is having a having a hard time updating because she's just so EUPHEMIA.
(also, Effie's parents are Ovid and Alcmene Trinket. I think Alcmene appeared via phone in one of @bestnoncannonship 's fics. She keeps birds. That's a threat. )

(this is a joke)
"Yes I'm working on a Medusa retelling. I'm a big Greek mythology fan. That's why I chose to change the character's motives, personalityies, and the entair myth.
Medusa is the main character who is really sad. She was the most bueatyfull and kindest priestess of Athena who cursed her as an act of protecting and blaming her, because she is jelouse of Medusa. As result she become a sceary ugly monster. Which means she still looks like a super model, but has green skin and hair made of snakes. So Athena then falls in love with her.
So she lives a sad loneyl life because she never found love, and because I ereased her two sisters and children because I don't care about them. Anyway then Hermes falls in live with her. Her life is tragic.
Then Perseus apears. He says that he is here to kill her because his toxic boy mom is forced to marry a king. But he is actually here for glory, and his mother doas not need to be saved from anything. I'm pretty shure she will be happily married to a men who doas not understand the word no. So Perseus who is an arogant jerk falls in love with Medusa, and they have hot steamy screens, then he tragicaly kills her. Then he takes her head as a trophy.
During the trip Calypso, and Circe also falls in love with Medusa. Then Perseus saved Andromeda from Cetus, when she didn't needed to be saved, because she chose to secrifice herself. And also Cetus did not wanted to kill her, and can transform into a super hot emo guy. Anyway both Andromeda and Cetus fall in love with Medusa too. Then Perseus like the jerk he is kills Andromeda's uncle, who is nice and he just wanted to marry Andromeda in order to get the thron. Then Andromeda's mother Cassiopeia falls in love with Medusa too.
Then Perseus kidnapps Andromeda and brings her to Greece. Then he kills the inocent king who's only crime was harrassing and forcing a women to marry him who wanted to do nothing to do with him. What a jerk Perseus is. Anyway then Danae Persues's mother, also falls in love with Medusa.
And in the end Perseus and Andromeda get married. Then Zeus falls in love with Medusa too. Hera also falls in love with Medusa too. Medusa turns out to be the secret forgotten kidnaped dauther of Persephone and Hades, who was kidnapped as a baby by Demeter, to ruin Persephone and Hade's happines. Then Medusa's memory is rememberd as a monster, because she was UGLY.
Anyways here is the book cover, and character a disgnes for the ilustrated editon. So pretty :) Of course a pen name is included too."

Agein this is a joke. But I have a feeling that there is someone who already wrote this.

Eurylochus Reincarntes As Hadestown Orpheus Concept Au
Introduction
So I know nothing about Hadestown but thinking about the parallels between Eurylochus and Orpheus got me thinking about an au where after Thunderbringer, Persephone takes pity on Eurylochus feeling how anguished his soul is and decides to give him a second chance to ensure he isn't lost in the river styx forever. She also gives Eurylochus the gift of song and he reincarnates into Orpheus from Hadestown. So we in a sense get Jordan Fisher as Eurylochus lol. Also making it angstier I'm having the idea of playing with Ctimene being reincarnted as Eurdice meaning Eurylochus failed to keep Ctimene in his arms twice.
Yep I got so comfortable comparing Eurylochus and Orpheus parallels that I want to make them the same person. So Eurylochus gets to trade his giant ass sword for a guitar.
Basic concept is as Orpheus keeps returning to the Underworld he keeps bumping into people that knew him as Eurylochus on the way to Hadestown. He encounters Odysseus who helps him and warns that he should make sure his journey doesn't end up like it did the first time. Polites gives him advice on how to win over Persephone and Anticlea appears as a bodyguard protecting the now Hadestown. Worse Odysseus, Anticlea and Polites remember Orpheus but Orpheus has no memory of them. You could play with that concept and have Eurdice being confused and angry Odysseus tried to help Orpheus.
Orpheus ignores Odysseus's warnings as well as Hades and turns back. Odysseus looks after Eurdice and you can either have Ctimene apologising to Eurdice saying she loved the wrong man or Odysseus apologising for failing his sister again. Eurdice gets a promotion and Ody bargains that Hades will let Eurdice be a bodyguard until Orpheus passes on.
Eurylochus got a second chance but repeated all the same mistakes and let doubt creep in. He failed Ctimene by doubting Odysseus and this time fails Eurdice by ignoring Hades's warning.
Persephone reincarnted Eurylochus so he may get into Elysium but that doesn't mean his life is tragedy free. Orpheus/Eurylochus is always cursed to have his loved ones die and his luck run out. To make it up to Eurdice, Orpheus becomes a healer and travels around with his songs with the purpose of healing young souls and comforting souls on the verge of death.
So that's basically the au concept we are working with. I'm going to share Orpheus's Pov and then I'll share Odysseus's Pov.
Please be aware I'm dyslexic and this is not beta read.

A Returning Visitor
Orpheus's Pov
Orpheus followed Hermes instructions, kept his head down and tried to be unnoticeable. Unfortunately it seemed he didn't keep his head down as well as he thought as an odly familiar voice called his name.
"Eurylochus!"
That wasn't his name. It had never been his name. Yet still Orpheus paused. He turned to find a man roughly his height accept his clothes looked more old fashioned. The mans brown eyes haunted him and it scared him.
"I hope you find this Eurylochus eventually but I'm not him. I'm Orpheus." He said introducing himself.
"Odysseus of Ithaca." The man responded in return.
Something about that name left a flury of emotions in his mind. Love, hate, guilt, pain, joy and sadness. It confused him but he knew that at the moment Eurdice was his priority.
"Nice to meet you Odysseus, I don't suppose you could help me? I'm looking for someone."
"Who?" Odysseus asked.
"Eurdice. She's my everything and Hermes told me she ended up down here. I have to save her."
Odysseus's sympathetic face suprised him. Maybe Hermes was wrong, maybe not everything was out to get him.
"I can't come with you Orpheus but keep straight on the path without stopping and you'll find Lord Hades. Be warned though Lord Hades doesn't let souls go easily." Odysseus replied honestly.
"How do you know?" Orpheus asked.
"Cos I had to sacrifice an afterlife with Penelope in order to save my crew." He explained.
Disbelief. Again Orpheus didn't understand why the man was making him feel so many complicated things.
"I'll keep that in mind." Orpheus lied.
"Please do my friend. Don't let your luck run out." Odysseus pleaded sorrowfully.
Odysseus starred at him in a way that screamed familiarity. It confused Orpheus and worried him.
"Is something wrong?" He asked.
"No you just remind of someone." Odysseus explained.
"Who?"
"An old friend. You have his spirit, Eurylochus cared for his friends and family deeply as you do Eurdice. I let him down."
"Oh. I'm sorry." Orpheus apologised. He didn't understand why but knew it was the right thing to do.
"It's fine, it's in the past now but Eurdice isn't. What ever you do, promise me you won't give up or look back." Odysseus pleaded.
"I promise." Orpheus said.
He gave Odysseus one last look before returning on his walk through the Underworld. Odysseus's last words shook him though.
"And Orpheus." He said.
"Yeah."
"Don't forget how dangerous the God's are." Odysseus warned.
With that Orpheus continued to walk forward taking Odysseus's heart in mind. Unlike Odysseus he vowed that he wouldn't let Eurdice down.
Odysseus Pov
Odysseus's heart sunk when he saw him here again. It had to be him. Eurylochus, his old friend and brother that he had betrayed. He may now have thick black curly hair and a guitar in place of his sword but it was still him. Odysseus couldn't stop himself as he called out to him.
"Eurylochus!"
The man froze. It gave Odysseus hope but then the hope quickly died when he saw his friends confusion. Eurylochus was a new man now, a new man he didn't have to crane his neck to look up at. The mans gaze looked like a distant memory and it hurt him so much.
"I hope you find this Eurylochus eventually but I'm not him. I'm Orpheus." The new man replied introducing himself.
Orpheus! The named suited Eurylochus more then anything and it made Odysseus proud. Trying not to embass himself, he did his best to reintroduce himself to his friend.
"Odysseus Of Ithaca." Odysseus replied, reintroducing himself.
"Nice to meet you Odysseus, I don't suppose you could help me? I'm looking for someone." Orpheus said
Odysseus tried to supress a sigh at that. After all they'd once been through of course Orpheus would be here recklessly trailing The Underworld for someone.
"Who?" Odysseus asked.
"Eurdice. She's my everything and Hermes told me she ended up down here. I have to save her." Orpheus explained.
Odysseus stared at his friend sympathetically. He smiles thinking about his sister Ctimene, who would be proud Eury-Orpheus is willing to sacrifice everything for his love. He then thinks about Penelope who he sacrificed everything for and abandoned in the afterlife. His heart aches.
"I can't come with you Orpheus but keep straight ahead on the path without stopping and soon you'll find Lord Hades. Be warned though Lord Hades doesn't let souls go easily." Odysseus warned.
"How do you know?" Orpheus asked.
He knows if Orpheus still remembered everything, he would be speechless over what he was about to confess. Eurylochus had died thinking Odysseus did not care about him.
Conclusion
So I have so many other Epic Au concepts I wanted to share but this one was one I definitely wanted to show off. I promise if I fully flesh out this au I will listen to Hadestown and do my proper research. I am studying Ovids Metamorphosis but definitely Hadestown is on the list to check out.
Honestly I did not think comparing Eurylochus and Orpheus would send me down this hole but here we are. I now have two aus where a God just reincarnates Eurylochus right after he had a traumatic death.
My asks are open if you are interested in me further fleshing this concept. It's a concept for now as i want to see how you Winions and Hadestown fans react.
Until next time.

TORALEI ANGST LORE DROP???
TORALEIS FINALLY IN FUCKING THERAPY WAHOOOOOO!
NOOOOO ITS FAMILY THERAPY MEANING SHE HAS TO SEE HER FUCKING NIGHTMARE OF AN ABUSIVE ASS MOTHER. IT ALSO PROBABLY MEANS SHES GETTING RETRAUMATIZED NEARLY EVERY FUCKING TIME
COME ON CLAWDEEN WHY ARENT YOU LOVING YOUR GIRLFRIEND?!?!
THE REFORM CENTER FOR BEASTIE BADDIES?!! THE FUCK DID THEY JUST COMBINE JAIL. A MENTAL HOSPITAL. ALCOHOL ANONYMOUS AND CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES ALL INTO ONE ?!
ALSO? CATARINAS ALIVE? THATS UH? Not bad I guess? This is literally the first confirmation we’ve gotten that she survived the finale. So uh. That’s good I guess. Somewhat. HAHA ALOWS ME TO TORTURE TORALEI MORE IN FANFICS HAHAHAHAHAH!
I’m literally in love with this so fucking much. But really. Come on. The society could do better. Get toralei in individualized therapy. Catarina should be in rehab WAY longer then she’s been before they even initiate such type of conjoined therapy. Operating under basic guidelines. They can allow supervised visits between mother and daughter but they shouldn’t be in something like therapy till the mom’s somewhat proven/served time that allows them to see she’s headed on the right path. Not to mention they’d BOTH be in individualized therapy as well. It wouldn’t just be family therapy like this. Also. I love that Toralei got to stay at the Wolfs house. But??? What the fuck was CPS thinking? They’d never put a child with a random family who has no foster care license when she has ALIVE AND WELCOMING NEXT OF KIN. Toralei literally could have stayed with the weretwins and her aunt/Uncle. Like??? The cousins ADORE her! (Too a concerning agree. Don’t get me wrong I love their relationship. But Persephones treating dissapointing toralei like it’s life or death. I could somewhat understand that panic for a parent. But it’s somewhat unhealthy for a cousin. Although it’s not completely odd. I know I’d be destroyed if I ever dissapointed my older cousin who I look up too. I feel like it’s somewhat like that?)
Anywho. I LOVE how supportive Meowlody and Pursephony are with toralei and family therapy. They don’t judge her. And they don’t judge their aunt. Just tell her to say hi for them. They offer unwavering support and with how much Toraleis currently getting I’d say it’s dearly needed.
also. Not related but I LOVE Meowlody having adhd. I have adhd and I connected with her SO FUCKING MUCH in this episode. Jsut in this clip. Her volume control and excitement about the ‘wrong things’ just is so relatable. Her being confident but also somewhat not confident about a list of tasks. Practically begging her sister to realize she really did listen but it’s so hard to remember and things get confused and to show that we DO have good memory! We just see it in different ways! God. Amazing. My only thing is I wish she would have audibly confirmed it. Like we know they had Twyla verbally say she’s autistic. Why couldn’t they do that for adhd? It’s odd but I’ve never actually seen it verbally stated in tv before.
anywho uh- I’m gonna be writing so much fucking toralei angst so yall should be on the lookout!
AND YO THAT OPERETTA GENERATION ONE REFERENCE WAS UNHINGED I LOVE IT

I don't think I mentioned this... but in Ashes of Memory, Alice receives a letter from Orpheus addressed as "Eury Lamb"
Lamb is the last name of the man who adopted her and experimented on her. It also serves as a reference to Little Girl's "Source of Evil" cosmetic, which is lamb themed.
"Eury" is a reference to Eurydice. People have theorized "Eury Lamb" is the name her adoptive father, Villhelm Lamb gave to her to keep her true identity a secret. But that's not rlly relevant...
What is relevant is that this makes Orpheus' alias choice even MORE obvious he loves Alice... this mans got romantic interest in her...
People who use that adoption letter as proof that the writers want you to view their relationship as sibling-like are so cringe. That letter is literally the direct opposite of "sibling-like".
Folks missed the part called "context": Orpheus [who was 17 at the time] knew she was being abused at the orphanage and tried to get her out in the least stressful way possible... and he couldn't even adopt her to begin with because the orphanage thought it would be best for her to be taken in by a blood relative. Which was a lie, because they ended up giving her to Villhelm Lamb to be used as his lab rat.
Like idk man... the writers have made it so abundantly clear Orpheus doesn't see her as a sister. That One letter doesn't prove he sees her as a sibling because if they wanted to make them siblings... then.... they would have... ya know, made them siblings... but they don't because.... they're not siblings and they're writing a tragic romance LMAO.
As for Alice, in AoM she calls him a playmate... granted she doesn't know Orpheus and her playmate are the same person, but she remembers him as her friend and not her brother... because.... they were never adopted siblings...
But yeah It's so crazy to think Orpheus doesn't love her... I'm over here losing my mind at That Scene in AoM where Orpheus asks Alice if she could play a song for him on her father's favorite piano.
What gets me is that this scene shows how much Orpheus missed her. He buys everything her relatives sold off so he can rebuild the mansions' interior to how it was when they were children. He also goes out of his way to fix her father's favorite piano. The piano didn't just need fine tuning - it was straight up destroyed during the raid. It was a really, really expensive thing to repair. Even though Alice's father had other pianos, some of which could have survived the raid, he rebuilds the one which holds alot of sentimental value to her... LIKE???
REALLY... You guys really want me to think Orpheus did all this JUST out of a sense of guilt for unintentionally causing the raid? You are rlly gonna look me in the eyes and tell me Orpheus using "Orpheus" as his alias while addressing Alice as "Eury" is totally platonic?
Are u rlly gonna say that to me knowing this official artwork made Norton and Melly wear their Pluto and Proserpina/Persephone outfits while Frederick, Orpheus, and Alice are dressed normally? My brother in Christ... will you rlly look me in the eyes and tell me Orpheus [AND THE BIRDS] holding flowers is platonic symbolism...

THIS ISN'T EVEN SUBTLE LOOOOL
How much more evidence do people need that these two aren't siblings AND they're on a whole romantic journey together...
#identity v#im so sorry Alice and Orpheus... I'm so sorry that the NA/EU fanbase can't read.#I honestly think people who call two characters with parallels to ancient lovers siblings should be subjected to a background check.#im so fr. There is no universe where someone who thinks and says shit like this isn't a villain#Don't even argue w these people. Just tell them the official japanese tiktok made a Valentines Day video abt them.#watch how they combust trying to explain how they know IDV lore better than an official channel does... even tho theyve never read it LOL#Orpheus could confess his undying love for Alice and ppl will say he loves her as a brother LKSDJFSFD#Unfortunately this would not surprise me since this fandom thinks Wax Artist and his sister WEREN'T Sweet Home Alabama siblings#they were. btw. Philip is not normal about his sister and I dont think girlie was normal abt him either#but yeah the sibling stuff w OrphAlice doesn't exist - not even on a sub textual level. You love to see it!#on another note... Im gonna have to make a lofter account to find that cosplay video aren't i?#[sighs] the things i do for love...

Gods reflect humanity, and that's pretty scary
Or Jason iv
After the drama has been announced, Annabeth rushes to get the first aid kit, while Piper is propped up on the couch. Jason has regrets about splitting the party. Chiron uses force scan, and concludes her mind is in a fragile state.
Apparently something used Rachel as a phone, and she doesn't really remember it, but no one is bothering to check if it caused any damage to her. Give Rachel the medical care.
Anyways, Jason's Pateron has asked both Jason and Piper to bust her out. He seems to be joking, and insists on getting answers now, over Pipers Comatose body. Jason concludes that it has to be something worse than Titans. Rachel realises that Jason's patron is Hera. Annabeth is, of course, pissed at her for that.
For all Jason knows about Gods, he forgets that Demigods are the instrument of action for gods on earth. Annabeth agrees that it's weird Jason would get his memory wiped. Chiron does not really want to discuss things, and sets Annabeth the task of filling Jason in about Greek and Roman Gods 101.
Jason apologizes that his presence has screwed things up. Annabeth decides to try cabin 15 to get his memory back. She takes him to the cabin of Hypnos to shake down some kid named Clovis. After some details and persuasion, he performs a test, Jason is almost dissolved and Clovis comes to the conclusion that Jason's memories have been stolen by a god.
It's not new information, but it's confirmed now.
Clovis explains some of what is going on. The gods change to reflect humanity. Their attributes and personalities change, and that changes who they are. Is that why Zeus doesn't go around raping people as a swan anymore? Is that why the kids don't reflect Greek heritage, as Americans are America's first? That's actually pretty sad. They should learn about their Greek heritage too. It's stolen.
That's a scary thought. That people's perceptions if you change who you are as a person. Stories are both intensely personal and subjective. Greek gods relationships, for instance. Some interpretations say Persephone is a product of Zeus raping his sister Demeter, and that he arranged her marriage to his brother Hades. Other stories say Demeter was willing to lie with Zeus, but not Poseidon, other stories say that everyone was asking for Persephone's hand, say that Zeus raped his daughter. Was the failing of the land and life neglect or intentional? There is some debate over who's daughter Melinoe is, Zeus's when he went into her bed as his brother, or Hades. There are stories now where Persephone chooses to eat the pomegranate seeds, and stories where she is tricked into eating them. The original story is about a bond between mother and daughter.
Rape has different connotations these days, then it did in older times, as perceptions have changed. Once it meant abduction. Word translation has played a part in the variations of the story, as has culture shift. These days it is means violent violation of autonomy, often sexually, done against someone's will.
"The root of the word rape comes from the Latin ‘rapere’, which means ‘to carry off’. In ancient times the term ‘raptus’ meant an abduction, not necessarily sexual violence (but could include it). It did not even imply the woman was carried off against her will, but only against the will of the person who had legal authority over her – father, brother or husband and in Persephone’s case Demeter."
Hades is probably one of the better husbands She could have gotten. He wasn't the type to mess around with mortals as often, wasn't a rapist (in this story), kept his word, and she was said to have come to love him. His abduction of her was a terrible thing to do, and was traumatizing. To be taken from the world suddenly and against her will, a death in of its self. We shouldn't forget that. Still, as far as marriage goes, she probably retained more autonomy as the queen of the underworld, then most wives of the gods, but we can't forget that it's a story about a mothers trauma over having her daughter taken away from her in it's origins.
Stories are taken, broken down, reused and rebuilt into other stories. Take A Song of Ice and Fire. It borrows a lot of narrative from Greek legends. Ned Stark as Hades, Lord of Winterfell, of the underworld. Robert Baratheon, Zeus, and his wife Cercsi as Hera. His brother Stannis, Poseidon. And Lyanna, Persephone. Rengar, Paris. Winterfell has a lot of connections to Persephone, the dead, and the spring. There's even a legend that the Starks are descended from white walkers, according to wildlings. But it also takes a lot of elements from the war of the roses. The names of the two main factions are Lancasters and Yorks.
But I have gone wildly off topic, and should probably get back to the chapter.
So to get back to the point, the Roman Gods are different from the Greek gods. Harder, more disciplined, different. Hera is preferable to Juno, and so forth.
All this foreshadowing. Someone in the party must be Roman for all this to be coming up. Three guesses and the first two don't count.
Annabeth does not study foreshadowing nearly as much as she does buildings, so all this Roman gods significance flies by her.
She does state that Jason is in serious trouble though.
She won't know what hit her.

Alright, so I just noticed something weird, anyone else notice how much Greek Goddesses are getting the absolute shaft in Record of Ragnarok? Seriously, Zeus, Poseidon, Heracles, Hades, and Apollo are ALL fighters in Ragnarok, and Hermes and Ares are appearing all the damn time as commentators, but the only Greek Goddess to show up is Aphrodite, and if memory serves me correctly, the anime cuts to her even more for whatever God forsaken reason even though she adds basically nothing.
Like, Demeter, Persephone, and Artemis are only mentioned in that other characters use their names as parts of the names of various attacks. Those last two are ESPECIALLY jarring when you remember that half of Hades' personality is that he's the 'I Love My Wife' guy of the Olympians, and Artemis is Apollo's TWIN sister! They have a whole Sun and Moon dynamic!
And even stranger, with Zeus seeming to be, like, in charge of all of the Gods, Greek or not, for whatever reason, you'd think Hera would come up a lot, right? NO! The only time she's ever mentioned, is when Alcides changes his name to Heracles when becoming a God officially. This is EVEN WEIRDER when you remember that, during the match between Poseidon and Kojiro, they make up a secret 13th Olympian named Adamas who led a rebellion against Zeus before Poseidon killed him. Why is this weird? Because HERA ALREADY DID THAT ONCE and Poseidon even sided with Hera! Why did they make up a God when there was already one who would work just as well?! Oh, speaking of, 13th Olympian, you seem to be ignoring the fact that HESTIA EXISTS! Yeah, she was an Olympian too, but when Dionysus was made an Olympian, she gave up her position to stop in-fighting because apparently there could only be 12 for whatever reason.
Like, this makes NO SENSE! Other female Gods have shown up! They cut to Shiva's wives multiple times during his fight, and during Susanoo's fight, they cut to Amaterasu a few times! Lilith was a major factor in Beelzebub's fight! Why do they refuse to acknowledge the Greek Goddesses?! Why?!

Hyacinthus Iceberg Meme EXPLAIN (P3)
Part 1 ✿ Part 2 ✿ Part 3 ✿ Part 4 ✿ Part 5
It's time for me to answer your questions about this Hyacinthus iceberg meme. There is a lot to tackle, so I'll divide it into 5 parts for the sake of my sanity.
Quick disclaimer: I am NOT an expert in Greek mythology, just a fan of Hyacinthus who wants to learn about him and anyone related to him. Most of the things I'm about to discuss are just theories and speculations of a passerby on the Internet, so do not take them as valid facts!
Daphne is Hyacinthus' sister
There is only one poet who wrote about Daphne being Hyacinthus' sister. Well, it's not explicitly stated but he claimed Daphne was a daughter of King Amyclas and lived in Laconia, so it's not hard to piece it all together.
"This is how the story of Daphne, the daughter of Amyklas (Amyclas), is related. [...] But she got together a large pack of hounds and used to hunt either in Lakonia (Laconia) or sometimes going into the further mountains of the Peloponnese." - Parthenius, "Love Romances"
I have a joke headcanon that Apollo loves Hyacinthus because he looks like Daphne (Hya's sister) and Hyacinthus loves Apollo because he looks like Thamyris (Apollo's grandson).
Some K-drama angsty level of romance, eh?
The accurate hyacinth flower???
This has been a debate for quite a while now. Is the flower born from Hyacinthus' death the modern hyacinth or a different flower?
Even though most of us settle for the widely-known purple hyacinth (the flowers above), many argue that the flower can also be a larkspur, an iris, or a martagon lily.
I admit I prefer Hyacinthus' flower being the purple hyacinth or at least a similar ancestor. It's because Athena used to give Odysseus a curly hairstyle like the hyacinths, and that description is similar to the modern flower.
[...] Athena poured beauty on [Odysseus]— her abundance made him taller and more robust to look at. Then, on his head, she transformed his hair, so it flowed in curls like fresh hyacinths in bloom. - Homer, "The Odyssey"
Here is a detail that got me pondering.
In the "Abduction of Persephone" myth, when Persephone is returned to Demeter, she tells her mother about the abduction and we have this:
"[...] we were playing and gathering sweet flowers in our hands, soft crocuses mingled with irises and hyacinths, and rose-blooms and lilies, marvelous to see, and the narcissus which the wide earth caused to grow yellow as a crocus." - Homeric Hymn 2 to Demeter
So Persephone is collecting flowers when she is taken, and one of those flowers is the hyacinth. It's unexpected to think Apollo and Hyacinthus got together before the seasons were a thing.
Zephyrus wears hyacinths on his flower wreath
There is one account I can find that talks about this detail.
"You can see [Zephyrus], I think, with his winged temples and his delicate form; and he wears a crown of all kinds of flowers, and will soon weave the hyacinth in among them." - Philostratus the Elder, "Imagines"
It might be a simple thing, but it had me thinking. Does Zephyrus wear hyacinths in his flower crown as a reminder of his former lover (like Apollo wears laurels from Daphne's tree)? Is it out of the guilt he has later or a sadistic triumph?
We'll never know.
Chloris creates the hyacinth flowers
For those who don't know, Chloris is the goddess of flowers and the wife of Zephyrus.
We all agree that Apollo created the hyacinth flower in the memories of Hyacinthus, but Ovid claimed Chloris (or Flora, her Roman counterpart) to be the creator.
"I (Flora) first made a flower from Therapnean blood [Hyacinthus the larkspur flower], and its petal still inscribes the lament. You too, narcissus, have a name in tended gardens, unhappy in your undivided self. Why mention Crocus, Attis, or Cinyras' son, from whose wounds I made a tribute soar?" - Ovid, "Fasti"
I don't like this version not because it's a Roman source, but because having Flora/Chloris creating the flower will reduce the heart-wrenching of Apollo and Hyacinthus' myth. Apollo lost his beloved to the hands of death, so having him make the flower as a tribute to their love and to always remember him will have a bigger impact.
Apollo is Hyacinthus' uncle/granduncle/great-grandfather
Look, almost all Greek mythology couples are related in some way. Apollo and Hyacinthus are no exception.
If we have Amyclas and Diomede as Hyacinthus' parents, Apollo will be Hyacinthus' granduncle on his father's side and great-grandfather on his mother's side.
Lacedaemon (Hyacinthus' grandfather) is a son of Zeus and Taygete.
"[Eurotas] left the kingdom to Lacedaemon, whose mother was Taygete, after whom the mountain was named, while according to report his father was none other than Zeus." - Pausanias, "Description of Greece"
Lapithes is a son of Apollo and the father of Diomede.
"Lapithes, the son of Apollon and Stilbe, the daughter of Peneus." - Diodorus Siculus, "Library of History"
"Amyclas and Lapithes' daughter Diomede had Cynortas and Hyacinthus." - Pseudo-Apollodorus, "Bibliotheca"
If we have Clio as Hyacinthus' mother, Apollo will be his half-uncle because the Muses are the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne, the Titan goddess of memory.
I guess the only way to remove incest from Apollo and Hyacinthus is to have Clio as his mother but use the version where the Muses sprang into life from four rivers made by Pegasus.
Hyacinthus is the relative/ancestor of other heroes (Perseus, Heracles, Helen, etc.)
I used to make a family tree for ten generations of the mythical Spartan family (and an additional one for Perseus and Danae).
And since Perseus is the great-grandfather of Heracles, this means Hyacinthus is an ancestor of Heracles as well.
Here are some sources to back me up:
"[...] Lelex, an aboriginal was the first king in this land, after whom his subjects were named Leleges. Lelex had a son Myles, and a younger one Polycaon. [...] On the death of Myles his son Eurotas succeeded to the throne.." - Pausanias, "Description of Greece"
"On the death of Amyclas, the empire came to Argalus, the eldest of his sons, and afterward, when Argalus died, to Cynortas. Cynortas had a son Oebalus." - Pausanias, "Description of Greece"
"[Oebalus] took a wife from Argos, Gorgophone the daughter of Perseus, and begat a son Tyndareus, with whom Hippocoon disputed about the kingship, claiming the throne on the ground of being the eldest. With the end of Icarius and his partisans, he had surpassed Tyndareus in power, and forced him to retire in fear." - Pausanias, "Description of Greece"
"To Acrisius and Eurydice, Lacedaemon's daughter, was born a daughter Danae [...] When Acrisius later learned that she had given birth to Perseus, not believing that Zeus seduced her, he cast his daughter out to sea with her son on an ark." - Pseudo-Apollodorus, "Bibliotheca"
Apollo and Hyacinthus in the Trojan War???
Oh boy. This is the part many of you are screaming for me to explain.
I'll have to disappoint you because there aren't many texts about Apollo/Hyacinthus in the Epic Cycle (at least, I can't find all of them yet). But if we bust our brains, we can draw out some shower thoughts.
1) Was Hyacinthus alive by the time of the Trojan War, and did he participate?
The timeline is shaky and depends on which source you're looking at. Euripides' play "Helen" mentions the Hyacinthia festival, meaning our prince was born, died, and immortalized before the Trojan War.
"They will be gathered in a dance, at long last, or in games, or in all night feasts, in honor of Hyacinth, whom Phoebus Apollo killed during a discus throwing contest." - Euripides, "Helen"
On the other hand, Lucian's "Dialogues of the Dead" said that Hyacinthus was still in the Underworld after the Trojan War.
"Menippos: Where are all the beauties, Hermes? Show me around, I am a newcomer. Hermes : I am busy, Menippos. But look over there, to your right, and you will see Hyacinthus, Narcissus, Nireus, Achilles, Tyro, Helene, Leda - all the beauties of old." - Lucian, "Dialogues of the Dead"
From Lucian's work, either Hyacinthus will be resurrected much later after the war or never at all.
If we go by the version that Hyacinthus was deified before the war, I'm sure he will side with his homeland. Hyacinthus is a favorite hero-god of Sparta and great-granduncle to Helen, so there is no reason he won't participate in the war.
That leads us to the next point:
2) Can you imagine the angst potential for Hyapollo???
National pride is a big thing for Spartans. You know how Spartans mock other city-states and uphold their people. Hyacinthus must feel utterly betrayed when Apollo is revealed to be siding with the people who stole from his homeland. He loves the god, but he loves his homeland more.
However, unlike the previous point where there are sources to draw from, we got zero records of how Apollo and Hyacinthus interacted during the war. So it has to be up to our imagination.
When Apollo sent a plague on the Greeks, did he purposefully spare the Spartans because of Hyacinthus? Did Hyacinthus tell his men to not kill the children, lovers, or favored mortals of Apollo?
Did they avoid each other when the Olympian civil conflict broke out? Did they even talk to each other at all?
And most importantly, how would they heal after the Trojan War?
3) Do the Spartans celebrate the Hyacinthia in Troy?
Now, this one is funny. The Spartans worshipped Apollo and Hyacinthus together, yet Apollo is now the enemy of Sparta.
In history, Spartans did form truces and leave the battlefields to attend the Hyacinthia festival.
"Now the Lakedaimonians (Lacedaemonians), as the festival of Hyakinthos was approaching, made a truce of forty days with the men of Eira [in Messenia]. They themselves returned home to keep the feast." - Pausanias, "Description of Greece"
But this isn't the case in the Trojan War. No sources say the Spartans desert the battlefield in Troy to go home for the festival (makes sense because they have to travel across the sea, and their queen is still trapped in Troy)
So the question is: how do they celebrate them in Troy instead? Do they even celebrate the Hyacinthia when one of the honored gods is siding against them?
Food for thought...
