My cultural flower dance outfit for Robin (Dutch ancestry) 

 Her outfit is based on the traditional folk costumes of Urk, a fishing village in the Flevoland Province of the Netherlands. Each Dutch region and village has it's own unique traditional dress with distinct meaning behind each element. The black base of Robin's bonnet means she's a married woman. 

 Interestingly enough, there is major celebration in Holland called the "Tulip Time Festival", where dancers adorn the traditional outfits from all 12 provinces and come together to dance publicly in the streets. 

 Her outfit is based on the traditional folk costume of Urk, with more white incorporated into her design to match the traditional SDV Flower Dance dress.

I have seen not a SINGLE person outside of tiktok besides myself on ANY other social media platform talking about this bill even though this thing literally spells the end of social media and the internet itself as we know it. and that's SCARY. I've been doing everything I can to spread it, but I'm just one person and it's still not enough.

And unfortunately, looks like my statement in the orignal post about how it will also effect those that don't live in the US has been proven correct in more ways than one. I was notified an hour b4 I made this post that a mass internet censorship bill similar to KOSA just got passed in the UK. It hasn't gone into effect yet, so there's still time for public outcry to overturn it, but the fact that a KOSA copycat bill got passed in another country is scary.

So yes. If you live outside the states, tell EVERYONE. Use your own platforms across all your social to spread the owrd if you have any. and ensure any friends or mutuals you have that live in the US are notified. Share the links to the petitions and resources and action items in my original post. we CANNOT afford to let this fascist nightmare come true

And I should also add another tidbit i recently found out. The right wing organization known as The Hertiage Foundation that authored what is essentially a Mein Kampf 2.0 style manifesto of how republicans plan on destroying our democracy if a republican wins the presidency in 2024 called The 2025 Project (which you can read on their website) has stated that KOSA is directly aligned with their goal which makes this even worse. again. When I say we cannot afford this Fascist nightmare to come true, I'm not exaggerating

My sister says she thinks Gideon is also Italian. I dunno, but I think this could open up fluff opportunities— thoughts?

it's possible Gideon is italian, but here are my thoughts...

Rossi is displayed as being very close to his Italian hertiage. At one point he mentions that he was made fun of being from italian descent when he was a kid. He's fluent in the language. He says that he won't go to Italy for vacation because there are "too many relatives" there. He even plays into some of the cultural sterotypes in a "reclaiming" manner. Rossi is even an Italian surname. It's very obvious that Rossi is Italian. He takes pride in it.

Gideon, on the other hand, never displays affinity for Italian culture, the language, or anything along the lines. Gideon has a love for cooking, but a love for cooking and spreading joy through meals is common in many cultures. Gideon is a name from the Old Testament and appeared as a surname for the first time in England.

So while it's possible that Gideon could show up at having Italian blood on a 23 and me test, he doesn't have the connection to the culture like Rossi does. He wouldn't be the person to use terms of enderment in the language, or refuse to travel to the country in the risk that he'd be dragged into a family reunion.

Culture matters.

It's a nice idea in theory, but I don't see it.

I go by wolf I'm a female , straight,4'9, my body type is a hourglass figure. I have brown eyes and brown hair that is super curly and wavy thanks to my native Indian & Spanish hertiage it tends to turn a little red in the summer when I'm in the sun I have freckles. That are sometimes an insecurity. I  have adhd and suffer from anxiety and depression. I am also legal deaf. I have been in out of doctors my all life  due to me being born prematurely with very little chance of survival. So I have had surgeries so I have scars I have one that is from when I was born  it's on my stomach  my medical conditions and issues  have never been anything I  have felt ashamed of.  (Which all of these things caused me to be bullied and left out in activites  I remember  crying thinking it isn't fair it's not fair I just want to play and have a friend). I can be a lot to handle at times especially with my anxiety and depression.  And I get frustrated very easily. I'm not the best at communicating and often keep things to myself. I push myself  to my limit  often times passed my limit. He tries to help everyone he can, but he will not ask for help in his problems. He will not burden someone with his own affairs, but in the meantime he burdens himself, and prefers to take care of it himself. But his every friend, or just a person he knows, can ask for help and he will definitely get it. He is just a nice person who cannot refuse to help. He liked it already. He also enjoys seeing a smile and listening to someone thanking him. Then he felt needed, as if he was really important to them.

He will really cry for various reasons or because he is struggling, but when someone calls him to come, no matter what, he does everything quickly not to look like he is crying and sad and comes out with renewed energy. He, too, would like to be comforted. When he comforts someone, he does it in such a way as to cheer him up as quickly as possible. When he cries, he just wants to hide. Whether alone or in the arms of a very trusted person. Just to think about it all.

Faction Rankings: Week of November 13, 2023- November 19, 2023

10. Indus Sher

They've been gone since some squash matches after they were called up, but they're back, and going right after Imperium after confronting Kaiser backstage.

9. The Bloodline

Jimmy lost to LA.

Still no sign of Roman for Survivor Series, and with that only a week away, chances are he's not going to defend until Rumble.

8. Alpha Academy

Otis lost to Shinsuke, and then on Tuesday, Chad challenged Noam to a match. They now have a match this week for the Hertiage Cup.

7. The Brawling Brutes

After a win against OTM on NXT, they went on to Smackdown for a triple threat match to determine the number one contender to the Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, they lost after Butch accidentally hit Ridge. After the match, there seemed to be tension between them. Perhaps somebody is going to have to return to help them make up?

6. Imperium

Kaiser won against Ciampa, thanks to interference from Vinci. However, Gunther told Vinci he did a good job after the match, and said nothing about Kaiser. Now, Gunther needs to look ahead to his Intercontinental Title defense against The Miz.

5. Meta-Four

Lash has qualified for the Iron Survivor Challenge with a win against Roxanne. That win was obtained thanks to interference from both Meta-Four teammate Jakara and Kiana, but still a win. Also, Noam has a Hertiage Cup match this week against Chad.

4. The Street Profits and Bobby Lashley

Not only has B-Fab been seen with Bobby a lot lately, which may signal her and Ashante joining the group soon, but The Street Profits now have a Tag Title match against The Judgement Day this week. Judgement Day is a group of five, so if B-Fab and Ashante join Bobby and The Street Profits, they would also be a group of five. Just saying.

3. Damage CTRL

New and improved...and totally all on the same page, right?

At least Bayley seems to realize it's coming...

Anyway, they now have a Wargames match against Bianca, Charlotte, Shotzi, and Becky.

If Bayley gets kicked out then...well, it wouldn't be the first time a Wargames betrayal involved Dakota.

2. The Judgement Day

Despite a loss for Dominik and JD against Seth and Sami, Damian and Finn pulled through with a win against Cody and Jey, retaining their Tag Team Titles...thanks to Drew. Drew officially turned and seems to have made a deal with Rhea, and appears to the fifth man for their Wargames team. Damian and Finn don't just have Wargames this week, though, as they also have a Tag Title defense against The Street Profits on Smackdown.

Perhaps the best Judgement Day news this week, however, is that JD is officially part of The Judgement Day! Priest gave him his jacket and everything.

1. The Family

Whatever deal they made with Chase U...I worked in their favor. They won the NXT Tag Titles back last week, and are officially a faction again with the addition of Adriana Rizzo. They've been a two-person group (at least, a two-person group in terms of officially named members who weren't PC trainees playing the role of extras) for over a year now, so it's nice that they're back to three and are a faction again.

So these are gonna be Ryou Bakura and Theif King Bakura Facts for Reasons (TM) that will become clear in the fic:

"Bakura" is Ryou Bakura's Given Name. "Ryou" is his mother's maiden name and in deference to her hertiage it goes in front of his given name. "Bakura" is the Thief King's Family Name, and like Yami, he's forgotten his personal name. Consequently, Ryou is Bakura, and TKB is TK.

There is Magic ALL over the TPOFATGIF universe. You can't dig a sewer line without unearthing a cursed artifact or crossing a Leyline. The icelandic practice of huldufólk lögum, or "Elf Law" is a real practice lawyers can specialize in to negotiate the finer points of magical disputes. Some of the Magic crops up in venerated or very old objects, some of it just exists ambiently, and some of it runs in families. Bakura was born into one of the oldest Magical families in England, and like most very old and powerful families in England, they are guilty of some HORRIBLE atrocities in the distant and very recent past, and some members of the family are willing to do ANYTHING to hang on to that power/escape the consequences of thier actions. Such an event lead to Bakura running away from home for fear of his life at Age 12, and has lived in Domino since. Illegally, because he was 12 and no way was his family going to help him leave, but nobody's ever checked his paperwork because he's european.

Bakura's favorite book is Watership Down.

It was actually Joey that first met and introduced Bakura to the group. They'd met at a BattleMace42Million tabletop miniatures wargame tournament- Joey is mad good at assembling and painting models and miniatures* and Bakura just fucking loves TTRPGs*. Bakura and Joey bonded over thier mutual disgust with BM42M's completely unfair pricing systems, poor manufacture quality, and vicious treatment of popular fanworks. When Bakura transferred to thier school, Joey immediately recognized his favorite Dark Elver player and dragged him over to the rest of the gang.

*These facts are actually for real canon, at least in the Manga.

"Vampirism" is not a single disease but a group of symptoms associated with over 147 conditions (like how we have lung cancer, breast cancer, lymphoma etc.) of variable contagiousness, dietary impact, immortality and attractiveness. Bakura has Polidori's Curse, which is one of the oldest documented conditions, First described by English Physician John William Polidori, but has since been documented in the works of Preminent Vampiric Scholars like Van Helsing's Treatise and Watiti’s Documentary Series.

TK speaks 9 fucking languages, fluently because he learned them first-hand from being awake in the Ring and bopping around with History's Greatest Maniacs for 3,000 to 5,000 years, and he can read in NONE of them due to severe dyslexia. He has a WEALTH of historical knowledge and the WORST first-hand source because he had completely insane priorities when it comes to remembering stuff. He kind of remembers the crusades, mostly because his favorite kabob place in Jerusalem got set on fire, and he's never figured out WHAT combination of spices they were using and HE CRAVES IT, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT SUCKS, CRAVING SOMETHING LOST CENTURES AGO-??

The Entire Capsule Monsters Arc does not happen in the fic because that fool claims to be Alexander The Great in front of Bakura and TK jumps out with "THE HELL AND FUCK YOU ARE!!" and beats him to death with a duel disk for slandering the good name of his favorite Conquest Warfare Horse-Loving Twink.

Unlike Bakura, who is at best marginally aware of his surroundings, TK listens and watches everything around him and knows all they lyrics to songs on the radio, who has grocery coupon days when, and what street cats will let you pet them.

While he disagreed with The Parasite's idea about turning him into a tabletop miniature, TK still harbors Personal Beef with the Domino City High School Gym Teacher and that bastard has no idea the storm that's coming.

ON THE TOWN: PRINCE WILLIAM AND LADY RACHELLE HAVE A DATE NIGHT

Prince William is back on home soil after his search and rescue training, and it seems as though he’s making time for one person in particular! He and girlfriend Lady Rachelle Hyde (nothing has been confirmed by the palace, but they’re basically official at this point) were seen at George’s Brewpub in the Hertiage District of Winterven before heading into the downtown of Winterven for the annual Romance Festival. 

The pair were catching up as they waited for their food, with the Prince telling her all about how his training went, what his next steps are going to be, and his plans for education after finishing Weston College! According to sources, the Prince is currently applying to the University of Britechester for a degree in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics (PPE) with a focus in Economics. 

After dinner, as the pair took in the festival, the Prince was seen leaning over to talk to his date, and after a quick laugh and quiet rebuttal, the two began to slow dance to the music from the live band that was playing, along with a few of the other couples that were also attending the festival. How lucky they must have felt, to have such esteemed company among them!

And, to cap it all off, at the end of the song, Prince William engaged in a small act of royalty taboo -- he pulled Lady Rachelle into a kiss that she gladly reciprocated! 

While these two are still a little young to be considering marriage, we have to say that we like the sound of King William and Queen Rachelle a lot!

I read somewhere, years ago, that domesticated turkeys aren't as intelligent as their wild counterparts. That they'll peck each other to death as chicks if not restrained, or they'll stand out in the rain and drown. Have you found this to be accurate, raising turkeys?

Well, there’s a HUGE difference between “domestic heritage turkey” and “domestic broad-breasted turkey.” It’s the same difference between “heritage chicken” and “broiler chicken.” One of them doesn’t need to be anything but fast-growing and meaty, because they’re only going to live a few weeks/months (broiler chickens it’s like….. 8 weeks or something, broiler turkeys it’s like 8 months I think? you’d have to look it up to be sure). This is considerably shorter a lifespan than the heritage turkeys, who live more like 7-10 years.

I haven’t raised a lot of turkeys. Joslin is the only one I’ve kept because she’s literally the only turkey I’ve ever raised that was not a COMPLETE FUCKING ASSHOLE. She’s only like, half an asshole. Every single other one I’ve raised has been mean and stupid. Now, pick each other to death if not restrained? Not in my experience. They did fine being raised in groups. Pick OTHER BIRDS to death? Yeah, for sure. Past a few days old, maybe a week or two at most, they grow so fast that keeping them with other birds is risky. Same for adults- I had a hen that seemed perfectly sweet for a while until she decided It’s Murder Time and she scalped one of my favorite chicken hens and nearly killed her.

As for standing out in the rain and drowning, that’s p much a myth from what I’ve seen. All of my birds are idiots and will stand in the rain and get sopping wet, but I’ve never had one drown, even the turkeys. Why do I come home and find 10 birds standing in the rain 3 feet away from the entrance of their perfectly dry, warm coop? No one knows. They’ll stay in, if I herd them in there, so it’s not like they WANT to be in the rain.

Now, I’ve never raised wild turkeys. So I can’t really compare. But comparing them to all my other birds, and in my personal experience, I would have to say turkeys of both stripes (hertiage and broiler) rate juuuuuuust above broiler chickens. Which is not saying much. I’m sure there are exceptions, for example Joslin, but they are likely exceptions. After Joslin passes (may that be a long way off), I won’t be getting turkeys ever again.

THRONE OF GLASS LIVEBLOG!

So i’m already on chapter like seven so this is a round up of those chapters and my thoughts/fav bits and pieces and things I’m highlighting and tabbing in my book so you guys can get a feel for the things that I like to notate. I am reading from a US edition hardcover copy so I will leave page numbers as well for reference for you noodles. 

Just for funsies so you know what my colorcoding is, I’ll update this like as I need to highlight other characters. I highlight foreshadowing and stuff of that nature in Purple. Aelin is in yellow (gold nightgown). Dorian is blue. Chaol is currently nothing because nothing he’s said has appealed to me enough to highlight him. I’m saving the color green for Rowan. I also use tabs accordingly so that i know where I’ve highlighted things. 

This has literally just turned into a mess of a commentary that nobody asked for and nobody is going to read because it’s long as fuck but if you’d like to hang with me while I blab about this book, please leave your comments and opinions and stuff below! I’d love to know your thoughts and properly discuss the books with you and even if you want to hope into my DMs or ask and chat there I’m up for that as well!

For some reason I often forget just how sassy and "I don’t give a fuck" Celaena has been since the very first page. I don’t know why, because it’s something that I love about her so much but I genuinely find myself laughing out loud with just how witty and sassy she is. It’s incredible. Also her bloodthirst is just...so good. 

In true me fashion, the first thing that I highlighted was Celaena fantasizing about killing Chaol on page 3: "Oh, it’d be nice to see his blood spill across the marble." This is just good Celaena content, I can’t help myself. 

The next few things I highlighted are from page 10/11.  "To attempt to flee is suicide." (pg 10) "You knew it was suicide." (pg 11) "I never intended to escape." (pg 11) All of this is pretty dark, but I think that it’s something important to note. That all through the first three books Celaena is struggling with severe, severe depression and suicidal thoughts. Her attempted escape was an attempted suicide and I feel like that doesn’t hit that hard with a lot of people despite how many times it’s said. I feel like her mental health here is integral to her character growth from the first three books. Even in the Assassin’s Blade, she is depressed, suffering PTSD in my opinion, and just downright struggling. She uses her swaggering personality to cover a lot of it up like a lot of people with depression do. I know that outwardly to people I don’t know well, I pretend to be much more confident than I am in reality. It’s a coping mechanism and I feel important to note about her character.  "I wasn’t going to kill him, you buffoon." (pg 12)This just makes me laugh. No other reason. It’s one of my favorite lines from the first book and I love writing her calling people a buffoon. 

"Our beloved king finds you lacking?" (pg 15) JUST GETS ME MAN. Anytime she comes for Chaol you all know that I’m t h r i v i n g.

"Yes, she would go -- to Rifthold, to anywhere, even through the Gates of the Wyrd and into Hell itself, if it meant freedom." (pg 19)This is something I noticed on a reread a few months back but Sarah was really planting those seeds early on and I just, I love it. It was really good planning and plotting to leave that in the very first book of the series and I feel like it goes to show how much Sarah actually planned this out while writing. 

The next thing I marked was some sass from Dorian because I just love Dorian. I feel like he’s the one character that doesn’t like fuck up and he really just tries his best and gets shit on. He’s a cinnamon roll baby, he IS baby, and I will protect him with my life. "”Then I apologize, my lady! How terrible it must be to condescend to answer! More foreshadowing in a sense, and Celaena speaking of her hertiage without anyone (including the reader the first time round!) knowing: "”King Brannon was Fae, and Oakwald is still his. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the trees remember him." (pg 30.) I also highlighted "”Before Adarlan began its conquest, this forest was cloaked in magic."  Just because y’know, in a lot of ways even here, it was. On page 32 along with this thought, I marked "”Small white flowers lay at the foot of her cot, and many infant-sized footprints led in and out of the tent."  The forest and little folk remember Brannon, and they remember Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. They remember Terrasen. And I just love all these little seeds like this that get planted that aren’t just a one off thing. I love when the little folk dip in and out. 

I think about some of the initial conversations that she has with Chaol quite a bit because it all goes into reasons that I just don’t like him. Like, yes she is a criminal but she’s also really young and has endured impossible things and he’s just so judgemental of her and her character straight from the get-go and it just always rubbed me the wrong way. On page 36, she tells him "”But the overseers had been instructed to treat me with extra care, and took the liberty of rubbing salt into my wounds - salt that I mined - and whipped me often enough so that some of the gashes never really closed. It was through the kindness of a few prisoners from Eyllwe that my wounds didn’t become infected. Every night, one of them stayed up the hours it took to clean my back." She tells him this and he still makes several comments that just super piss me off later on that we’ll get to and that I’ll definitely be marking just for the sake of being able to locate it anytime someone wants to argue with me about his character lmao. 

More foreshadowing that I love on page 37: "Magic was dead, the Fae were banished or executed, and she would never again have anything to do with the rise and fall of kingdoms. She wasn’t fated for anything. Not anymore." Like HELLO major foreshadowing that is pretty obvious now that I’m reading but at the time I didn’t take into account what that meant. At this point all we know is that she’s a notorious assassin so it should have raised flags in my head the first time that I read the book that she was something bigger. 

"Still, the image haunted his dreams throughout the night: a lovely girl gazing at the stars, and the stars who gazed back." (Page 38) Like this just straight out shows you the kind of person Dorian is because he is asking Celaena to be his champion assassin but he still sees her as a person. He sees her as more than just a criminal where everyone else kind of treats her like she’s a feral animal almost. It takes Chaol ages before he really treats her like a human being but Dorian did from the very beginning and I just... it shows so much about his character, y’all. So much.

Faction Rankings: Week of July 24, 2023- July 30, 2023

10. Chase U

Thea tried her best, and in her submission match against Tiffany for the NXT Women's Championship, she never tapped out. She did end up losing due to Andre throwing in the towel for her. She seemed upset afterwards, but it remains to be seen whether she was upset because of the loss or upset with Andre for quitting for her (or maybe both).

9. Alpha Academy

Maxxine will have her first singles match this week. Continuing their feud with The Viking Raiders, Maxxine challenged Valhalla to a match, and it was accepted.

8. The Bloodline

Roman was at Smackdown for the second week in a row, and he and Jey had a face-to-face. Later in the night, him and Solo sat ringside during Jey's match against Grayson, and they attacked him afterwards.

Paul's also not carrying around the other two belts anymore. That probably doesn't mean anything, but I wanted to point it out anyway.

7. Imperium

The face-to-face between Gunther and Drew resulted in a match between Drew and Kaiser. Drew ended up getting the win, but when Imperium tried to do a post-match attack, Matt came to help.

6. Meta-Four

So Noam's kind of back to normal...but now he's carrying around a Hertiage Cup that Lash gave him that may or may not be fake. Maybe we can get somebody to test it. Anyway, they had an eight-person tag match at Great American Bash against the other Hertiage Cup Champion Nathan, Dragon, Yulisa and Valentina, which they lost. But hey, at least Noam seems okay now.

5. Diamond Mine

We can pretend all we want but those guys in Schism masks that caused them to lose the six-man tag last week? That's The Creeds. Maybe somebody should tell Ivy.

So, they got some revenge on Schism, and now there's going to be an interrogation of all The Schism members this week where they'll have to take off their masks so they can find out who's the traitor. Ava insists it's not them, but Jagger thinks otherwise. Sorry Ava, I'm on Jagger's side here. It's definitely them.

4. Damage CTRL

Shotzi's still after them, so that's not great. What is great, though, is that Summerslam is coming up, and the Women's Championship Triple Threat could be a good time for Iyo to cash-in. Asuka warned her against it, but I'm not sure that deterred her much, if at all.

3. The Brawling Brutes

So there's a battle royal at Summerslam now, and Sheamus is officially in it. This week, on the Smackdown before Summerslam, Sheamus has a match with the other confirmed battle royal competitor, LA Knight.

2. LWO

Well, Santos is the winner of the United States Championship Invitational and will face Austin for the Championship next week. Unfortunately, the end of the match wasn't really a celebration. Rey appeared to have suffered a concussion during the match, and was deemed unable to compete, making Santos the winner.

1. The Judgement Day

Dominik and Damian both won on Monday, against Sami and Apollo, respectively. The match against Sami was for the North American Championship, which Dominik also successfully defended against Wes and Ali at Great American Bash. Finn and Seth signed their contract for their title match at Summerslam, and afterwards, The Judgement Day attacked Seth and stood tall. Rhea also was scheduled to have a match with Liv, but attacked her before the bell and injured her arm. She also won a match against Lyra in NXT, and afterwards told Lyra to beat Jacy to prove to Rhea that she's right about her. Lyra will get that match this week. If she wins, they may be looking to add another member to The Judgement Day.

Bull, Sera, Cullen, Solas, Vivienne, and Varric react to a Inquisitor that's half dwarf and half dalish?

Varric: Varric thinks Orzammar would find the Inquisitor to be a better dwarf than him. They might actually be less likely to avoid the Merchants guild. Joking aside, he knows how some people can be. Should the Inquisitor ever need an ear, he’s glad to listen. Despite popular belief (mostly Cassandra), Varric can stop talking long enough to listen.

Solas: Solas sees the Dalish as little more than children blindly grasping at their past. Something similar could be said for the dwarves. However, Solas cannot afford to give much regard to their heritage. The Inquisitor’s hand contains his magic. In order to have any hope of bringing down the veil, Solas must focus simply on helping the Inquisition.

Iron Bull: Bull admits the elfy eyes coupled with the body hair is a weird combination when you first see it. It’s quickly pushed aside for the job. The boss paid them good money and the Chargers always deliver. Others aren’t as willing to ignore their heritage, but he has to give the Inquisitor credit. The Inquisitor hides it well. To the well trained eye, it looks like the comments don’t even phase them. But, of course, he’s a trained Qunari spy. Bull can see the toll the comments take. So if the Inquisitor ever needs to talk, the drinks are on him.

Vivienne: “It certainly will draw ire from those in Orlais, but if anyone so much as sneers at you my dear, let me know.” Vivienne will not stand for those speaking ill of the Inquisitor in such a way. She would personally see to it that they were taken care of if they did.

Cullen: He cares little of the Inquisitor’s hertiage. What matters instead is that they are a very competent leader who trusted in Cullen as leader of the Inquisition’s forces even when he didn’t trust himself. Should anyone make any rushed judgements based on such a factor, Cullen is not above throwing a punch or too. Much to the ire of Josephine.

Sera: “Who friggin cares about your parents, yeah? We’re more than just are pointy ears and your fuzziness,” Sera exclaimed. “I mean you’re the bloody Inquisitor and honorary Red Jenny member so fuck ‘em.” She’ll ready some arrows should someone decide not to leave the Inquisitor the hell alone.

Anonymous - Part 2 - Across Oceans

It had been a little over 4 months since you'd started talking to a mysterious stranger online. Slowly but surely, his exsistence was starting to take over every moment of your day. He was the first person you texted in the morning, the one you thought about when you ate seafood, laughing at how much he'd hate it, the one you missed when your phone was in your locker at work and the last one you talked to before falling asleep at night. He had become your everything and from how he spoke, you were becoming his too.

However, there was one simple problem.

You had literally no idea who he was.

Sure, you knew a lot about him, his Korean hertiage, his age, everything he liked and disliked and so much more but still, you had never seen his face. In fact, the more you thought about it he did seem to purposely avoid it. His instagram account contained a suprising lack of pictures of... Well any part of him. Not even a finger or a shadow ever slipped into view on a single post.

Honestly it was starting to confuse you. Surely you couldn't be falling so hard for someone you had never laid eyes on? Surely the feelings of love that were blossoming in your heart, stretching across the oceans that you knew were between you, couldn't be so deep if you had no idea what he looked like?

These were facts that you couldn't deny however. And maybe you were one of the lucky ones, one who possesed a connection so deep that it transcended human superficiality.

As you pondered all of this, sat at the dining table of your small, shared apartment, your phone began to buzz harshly against the wooden surface.

'Hey.' You smiled, heart already pounding in your chest.

'Hey.' He was out of breath on the other end of the line, panting so heavily it sounded like he may pass out.

'NJ? Are you okay?' You asked, your smile fading into a worried frown.

'Yeah Yeah, sorry. I just got home from a run.' He laughed, his breathing becoming more regulated.

These phone calls had only started recently, from plenty of begging on your part. For now it had satisfied your thirst for more. But something about his voice still niggled in your mind. You recognised it.

'I've been thinking.' You finally had the courage to speak.

'What about sweetie?'

'Your voice, it sounds kinda familiar. And you've never told me your name but always tell me just to call you NJ.'

'Mhm,' He hummed on the other end of the line, the fear in his vocal cords evident even through such a small sound.

'I know you have reasons why you don't share who you are and I understand that. Completely. But are you sure you're not Kim Namjoon or something?' You were half joking, mostly joking in fact but the awkward silence that followed left you feeling uneasy. You laughed, desperate to break it first. 'I mean, obviously I'm joking. As if someone so busy, talented and famous would have time to talk to little old me.' You laughed again and this time, he laughed with you.

'Yeah, probably not huh? I love the sound of your laugh.'

Quickly the conversation moved and changed until the familiarity of his voice was drowned out by his way with words.

But still, as you hung up the phone that night, reeling from his compliments and cheeks sore from smiling, there was still a thought in the back if your mind.

He never actually said that he wasn't Kim Namjoon.

Elf Headcanons (actually haircanons...)

In no particular order:

-The three kindreds of elves are distinguished by hair color. Vanyarin elves have hair running from white-blond to gold. Noldorin hair runs between black and red, with various stages of brown and auburn in the middle. Telerin elves have hair that ranges from white-silver to charcoal. All of their other features are all over the map, with various skintones and features common to all of the kindreds. However, this only applies to the original elves who woke at Cuivienen; many later elves were of mixed blood and therefore had various hair colors depending on their hertiages (like Galadriel being Noldor but having gold-silver hair due to both Telerin and Vanyarin blood).

-There were no Vanyar among the Avari, and therefore no full-blooded Avari is blonde. However, the Avari, dwelling in the East and South of Arda without influence of the Valar and with closer ties to both Men and Dwarves, intermarried somewhat more frequently. Therefore there are a few blonde Avari, but it’s always a sign of either Human, Dwarvish, or Eldar descent.

(Sorry Thranduil, that means my fics follow movie canon and your hair is more silver than gold. And the canon I’m picking for Tauriel is of that she’s of Noldorin descent, at least somewhat. But not related to the Feanorions, luckily for her.)

-Elf hair is very strong, hence it can be used for bowstring. It’s not uncommon for archers to keep their hair at just the right length for their own bows, in case they need a new string in a hurry. But if the hair in question is naturally wavy, curly, or kinked, it takes more work to straighten it.

Name: Sophia Blackbyrne

General Appearance:  It is evident from a mere glance the daughter of Khadorek and the Story Keeper is only half human. With the signature delicate features and slightly pointed ears there is no denying her hertiage. Long brown hair is usually braided and tied off with a bow that matches her dresses.

Personality: Sophia is a bubbly, happy child. She is naturally curious about the world around and often times can get in trouble that Khadorek tends to deal with due to her mother’s own foreign nature. 

Special Talents: Despite her appearance as a girly-girl in some eyes she is very skilled with weapons and that skill only grows under Father’s eye. Woe to the boy who thinks they can beat this girl in a sword fight.

Who they like better: She knows she can turn to both parents for love and support. Learning about her ancestors from both sides of her lineage.

Who they take after more: It seems the elven side was dominant but she has her Father’s temperament and nature.

Personal Head canon: Khadorek has had to explain to the Keeper and their daughter that simply because the neighborhood boy bullies you that doesn’t mean you polymorph them into a pig. (Both are baffled as to why not.)
