YouTube's AI Tool for Creators to Use Famous Artists' Voices: A Potential Game-Changer
Tumblr media
YouTube is reportedly in talks with record labels to develop an AI tool that would allow creators on the platform to use the voices of famous artists. This could have a major impact on the music industry and on the way that content is created on YouTube.
If the tool is developed, it will allow creators to create new songs, videos, and other content using the voices of their favorite artists. This could open up new creative possibilities and make it easier for creators to produce high-quality content.
However, there are also some potential concerns about the use of AI to create music. One concern is that it could lead to copyright infringement. If creators are able to use the voices of famous artists without their permission, it could violate the artists' intellectual property rights.
Another concern is that it could be used to create deepfakes, which are videos or audio recordings that have been manipulated to make it appear as if someone is saying or doing something that they never actually said or did. Deepfakes can be used for malicious purposes, such as spreading misinformation or damaging someone's reputation.
Tumblr media
Here are some additional thoughts on the potential impact of this new tool:
It could democratize music creation. By making it easier for anyone to create music with the voices of famous artists, the tool could open up new opportunities for aspiring musicians and creators.
It could lead to new and innovative forms of music. The tool could be used to create new genres of music that would not be possible without AI. For example, creators could combine the voices of different artists to create unique and unexpected soundscapes.
It could change the way that music is consumed. The tool could make it easier for people to create their own personalized music experiences. For example, people could use the tool to create custom playlists of their favorite songs with their favorite artists singing them.
Tumblr media
Overall, the development of this new tool is a significant event that can potentially change the music industry and how content is created on YouTube. It is important to monitor the development of the tool and to ensure that it is used in a responsible and ethical way.

The greaser gang if they were in an escape room:
- Soda and Steve break everything accidentally
- Dally breaks everything on purpose if he doesn’t solve it on the first try
- Darry and Johnny are the team leaders, they’re the only ones who actually solve it correctly
- Two-Bit flirts with the game guide the whole time
- Steve almost lost his life because he pulled another “all brawn no brain” joke when Darry got a code wrong
- Pony accidentally solves puzzles by just fucking around
- He also constantly slams the clue button for shits and giggles then gets yelled at by Darry + Johnny
- Dally threatens the game host with a heater to make sure they don’t lose points for getting said clues (literally just points his gun at the screen and shouts expletives)
- They get kicked out before making it to the final room

so glad the musical has darry on the verge of a mental breakdown almost the entire time because it's very accurate to how it feels to be raising your younger siblings when you are basically still a kid yourself

deeply refreshing to see someone critical of Swift who also like, genuinely likes her. Like i'm neutral to positive on her, but the online discourse has been absolutely rancid. flipping between "Taylor Swift has never done anything wrong ever and she's a fucking genius" and "Taylor Swift is the worst lyricist of all time and also a bad person" is exhausting, so thank you for like. nuance or something lmao
not to make it serious for a sec but i genuinely think that being able to like things that are bad is really important. like I think that it's an important skill to be able to look at something and see what you personally enjoy about it and then take a step back and acknowledge that objectively it's flawed. and to also be able to acknowledge that liking something isn't necessarily an identity or a moral stance. and i think that fandom space in general could really benefit from more people taking the time to learn how to do that. it's okay to like things that are bad
#people ask me sometimes why ill occasionally talk about something i like and then go 'but it's bad' and the answer is usually because it is#i love teen wolf. i love genshin impact. i love detective conan. and i fucking LOVE taylor swift. that doesnt mean theyre good#it just means i like them. and recognizing their flaws actually helps me better identify what i like about them!#it's like. in my mind bad > good is the x axis and i like it > i dont like it is the y axis yk. they're not mutually exclusive#tldr it's not that serious. we can all relax a little#irt taylor swift i do also think she has done some real harm to her fans in enabling them to deflect all criticism of her as misogyny#and i don't think it's fully the fault of these people who are parroting that response bc so much of her marketing has deliberately#reinforced this idea that to be a swiftie is to be a part of a sisterhood and that any attack on taylor is an attack on all of those women#who are in that in-group. when that's obviously not the case. but she's marketed herself as. for lack of a better term. 'girl music'#to the point where it makes her fans feel as though any criticism of the music or the woman responsible for it is an attack on their#personal experience of womanhood/girlhood/sisterhood/etc. and that's how you get all of thess bad-faith accusations of misogyny#i don't necessarily think this was her deliberate goal with her marketing tho because like. on first glance such a strong sense of communit#among fans sounds like a great thing. the friendship bracelets i got at the eras tour movie are really genuinely special to me.#but it does present a problem when your fans are unable to separate how they feel about the community and experience your music has fostere#from how they feel about you as a person. especially when you are a billionaire who absolutely CANNOT be above criticism in this economy#anyway. tldr i love taylor's music and i don't think swiftie hivemind is as deliberately malicious as it may seem#but it's obviously necessary to be able to take a step back and look objectively at what you're participating in.#anyway stream ttpd or don't idc <3#taylor swift

We don’t talk enough about how every institution Sirius should have been able to put his trust in betrayed him at some point. From his parents to his friends, to the light side he left everything for, to the dark side he would give anything not to be in.
The greatest irony of Sirius, is that for a person who is literally distinguished by his loyalty, a character who let himself be tortured to the brink in Wizarding hell for twelve years simply because he trusted the wrong person, a person whose animagus is literally a dog, is this: He would die, die after being kept in a cage at the urging of Albus Dumbledore and the Order he sacrificed his family for and then murdered by that very family itself. That he’d fall only after he has been utterly ruined by everyone he ever loved, everyone who he should have been able to trust, down to his house elf.
Sirius was 21 years old and lost his entire twenties to Azkaban because even Dumbledore who would bat for reformed Death Eaters and students rearing murderous spiders in his school wouldn’t consider giving him so much as a trial.
Friendly reminder that he wasn’t just locked up in a cell and left there, this was his state of affairs:
“…. he was one of the most heavily guarded in the place, you know. Dementors outside his door day and night.”
And we can infer, considering that he was a barely legal soldier raised in an abusive household that that was not a cakewalk. Dementors are terrifying torture machines even for the well adjusted let alone the traumatised.
It also speaks a lot about why he gives himself to James with such abandon and why no one else will ever hold that position in Sirius’ life. James is the only person to ever to take that love, that trust, that faith and to nurture it, protect it, to worship it. He’s Sirius’ guardian and Sirius’ salvation and Sirius’ font of security. Is it truly such a surprise that Sirius never quite recovers from his death? With James gone, where else could he go?
Sirius was the Brightest Star in the sky and apparently the only thing Death Eaters and the Order of the Phoenix could agree upon is snuffing out his light.

What would it be like if people in your community looked out for you?
What would it look like if people outside your most-texted friends and closest family knew you and were invested in your wellbeing and were willing to make deliberate effort to contribute to it?
What would a healthy supportive community, full of a wide variety of people who aren't all necessarily friends, look like?
What would make your community more like that?
What structures or opportunities already exist that might enable that? Are they sufficient? Why or why not? If you don't know what kinds of organizations etc exist in your community, how could you find out? If they aren't sufficient, what could you do to contribute or create new opportunities for relating with each other?
What barriers interrupt opportunities for healthy connection and support in your community? What would effectively addressing those barriers look like?
What would be the easiest possible first step that one busy person could take to start to make your community more connected? Can you think of anything that you personally could do?
What kinds of skills or ideas would be necessary that you can't provide? How could you find people with those kinds of skills or ideas who are also interested in community care and who might be willing to work together?
You're probably marginalized by at least one form of oppression. Most people are. You're probably busy and tired. Most people are. What would make it possible for you to contribute anyway? What would make it possible for other busy tired people to contribute?
If you want your community to care for you—if you need that, as I'm convinced all people do—you might have to figure out how to care for your community first. If you wanted that, how would you start?

Canon things I just remembered about the guys that I wish I saw more of in fandom stuff:
K'sante just. has his drawing tablet with him at all times ig (he's just like me fr)
Ez likes/tries to pet Sett's ears
Phel recruited Kayn, and presumably understands/respects his process of working with Rhaast in isolation better than anyone ever has
Phel can read a person just by looking at them and hearing their music (which is probably why he gets Kayn)
K'sante "wrote, produced and directed mvs with experience in acting and filming", so I'm assuming he had a stint in acting at some point
Sett knits as a hobby; he likes making little dolls for his momma
Kayn makes weird food combos like the '87 ninja turtles
Despite hanging out with Kayn, Ez and Phel the most in the mv, Ernest is mainly taken care of by Yone (who also cast him in the mv)
Sett and Ez "almost blurt something out" about future plans in the nylon interview, so they're both the Tom Holland of the group (if they ever come back and riot doesn't have them almost spoiling their next song in the teasers, I'm gonna be pissed)
Kayn likes pandas

So I just rediscovered my most popular bit of art 😅 I had no idea this had even really hit an audience back when r/traaa was still alive and well!
Tumblr media
For anyone out there who is wanting to get into drawing comics, just look at this! I was doing what I could with what little I had at the time and I had so much fun doing it 💜 my advice will always be to just go for it. You'll always find someone who likes your work 😊

real love song by nothing but thieves makes me feel like i’m going insane but in the best way. it’s such a beautiful song, and the raw emotion in conor’s voice makes me feel like i’m a part of the song myself. the power in every ‘it won’t go away’ and honestly the entire chorus makes me feel like ascending to another dimension. it’s a song that i do genuinely think everybody should experience at least once

I generally don't make posts like this, cause I don't wanna start an argument or disagreement, but I do find the "Is Hyde really a person?" discourse, a bit odd...I know it's a comic, and maybe I'll be proved horribly incorrect but...
Does he have emotions, with personality traits and preferences? Yes.
Does he insist he's a person? Yes.
Then he is, in fact, a person.

i should add i think it’s fine to reinterpret songs for animations, art is a medium that can and should be analyzed and interpreted and reinterpreted. poor george is an example of this, it’s an animation project that took a song about a romantic relationship and reinterpreted it to be about a familial relationship successfully. but there is some tells that some of it is just cramming a character into a song that doesn’t fit them (<- which is also just a subjective non-issue lol just a pet peeve that doesn’t have any weight)
