probably my bitchiest opinion is one that is most often triggered by people posting something along the lines of "I didn't have kids because I love to sleep in and have my own time and have disposable income! lolz" and like. good for you! you definitely shouldn't have kids if you can't give those things up! but. did you know. that not having kids will not necessarily ASSURE those things for you. and also that, more broadly, striving for those things is not like, more virtuous than having other priorities? not to be a dull fifteenth-century-brained drone but perhaps life should be about more than pleasing yourself, regardless of whether you plan to have children or not. just my little thoughts lmao.

if i dont interact or share palestine related posts please know its really triggering for me as someone whos family has been affected by terrorism (im not american . in case anyyone might assume so) and even though i hate zionism and emphatize with the palestine people i simply. cant look. without freaking out. im sorry .once i get over it i will share the donation posts but currently i cant do it.

Dear, I wrote a 75k novel and it has literally NEVER been recc’d anywhere. You should write for yourself first because you are the audience. We all like your work, but you should be true to your own visions first. It is difficult for sure in a world that eats up “content creators”. But you are a writer, not a “content producer”. And this is fun, not work. Do what makes you happy for fun, and take joy in those of us who also derive joy from your work. Each of those “barely 50 likes” come from whole ass people who live, breathe, and think. And they took time from their days to enjoy what you have been gracious enough to share with us.

All this to say, I understand the frustration in working hard on something for little acclaim. But remember your work is for YOU. If it’s not for you, you’re always going to be unhappy. There will NEVER be enough acclaim and praise to satisfy.

yeah, that is all true to be fair. thank you for your kind and wise words. it's hard to make these facts sink in when your brain feels like it has a hole in it

If you ever hear anyone bemoan spam reblogging, I believe that’s probably a hold over from when tumblr used to show all notifications abt likes/reblogs on your dashboard so it could be Super Obtrusive and Annoying. but that’s not been the case for years now, and if it still is it’s definitely something you can turn off bc goodness knows I must have. I go deep thru peoples blogs every so often and think that’s fine. Reblog to your heart’s content that’s what gets posts seen by more people that’s a good thing on The Reblogging Things site 👍
