It's honestly incredibly fitting that the phantom Ortho - aka the dead one - was what finally "woke up" Idia. Idia was in denial, he didn't want to believe the truth; that's just what he does. That's what he did when building our Ortho, that's what he did when nearly freed all the phantoms, and the dream is an extension of his tendency to reject reality. But phantom Ortho kept rebuking him, forcing him to acknowledge the truth: "I never went to RSA - my home is the Underworld, all my friends are phantoms too, nii-chan I'm dead."

Whereas before he wanted Idia to unleash the literal apocalypse on the world so they could stay together, now he's pushing him away. Because Idia has a life to live, one free from delusional "perfect" worlds and the weight of guilt. Phantom Ortho was probably the only one who could've given Idia the strength to reject Malleus' ideal dream and go back to reality. Which is, while painful, still real.

Like Idia himself said, he's the only one who gets to decide what's a happy ending and what isn't.

Depends what mood you catch him in! Usually he'd probably stare at you, but if you catch him on a good day you might get some very basic conversation.
