Just watched my sibling absolutely EAT SHIT and DIE by tripping on an uneven piece or ground and I had to do everything in my power not to burst out laughing because I was on call with a very distressed man who was in the middle of telling me about an injured Azurill he found. i think it really all boils down to a balancing act, in terms of exemplifying a muse's strengths while also emphasizing that they do have their weaknesses (be it physical, emotional, situational, etc). striking a believability is so important, otherwise it'd just be... boring and one-note?

may, for example, is OP as hell when it comes to battling - that's reflective of how many of us can probably breeze through any given pkmn title, if a stacked team comprised with their best sets is assembled early on enough. it's also a reference to how the stories of gen1 and gen3 happen simultaneously; she's been at this a long time, and that reflects 1000% in her battling capabilities.

essentially, that + her eliza thornberry abilities are her only boons. when it comes to handling her own emotions, she's ill-equipped. she battles internal guilt, regret, shame, all things she's brought upon herself (admittedly) due to her issues with commitment. she's distrustful, cautious, and struggles with integrating back into society after living like a feral woman for so long. she's irresponsible, incredibly stubborn and immovable most of the time unless it's something she chooses to act upon.

and despite having been undefeated for so long, she isn't invincible. that realization in itself also brings its fair share of turmoil, so-

tldr; a believable balance imo is necessary to add that relatable depth, and especially helps in creating other avenues/opportunities through which someone can explore their muse's characterization at different angles!

Yes, very much so. Why would we have rules if we break them all the time? In my line of work, it's important to be precise. I also have to set a good example, I'm teaching at the trainer school after all. Of course I make mistakes sometimes, and there are situations where I'm just not caring enough to rewrite some stuff, but for the most part, i try to use correct grammar and spelling. - Olivia
