Christmas at home is always a difficult time for me. My parents are very intense and extroverted people, and living in another city has made me lost the habit of their pace. I have managed to achieve peace and slow down in my life, but when I return to my family home, everything is three times faster and three times louder. That's why this year I'm sitting in a rocking chair and crocheting, it gives me some sense of security.
February’s Lindsay’s Favorite Things theme is… Sanrio! 🎀
I have so many great memories surrounded by Hello Kitty and the wide world of Sanrio, and yet top of my list is always remembering the times I’ve visited the Sanrio store on 42nd Street in NYC. (Sadly, it is now closed.) First of all, it had a security guard. (That may have both made me nervous AND thrilled me.) I remember stopping in between the years 2000-2007 and the rush of immediately spotting the big selection of little stickers sheets and pens, pencils, and stationery sets. Then when cell phones and cell phone accessories became more popular, seeing the more pricey Hello Kitty-adorned phone cases and charms behind the check out counter, dreaming of being able to afford that souvenir. Visiting in my late teens in 2008, the store redone in a more sleek design - the “Sanrio Luxe” concept — offering mostly expensive items for sale. One year I saved my Christmas and birthday money and went in with the intention of buying one pricey item: one of the giant stuffed animals, or a purse. I came out with a giant Charmmy Kitty plush that lived some epic times in my life, and that I still have today.
During formative years of my life a visit to NYC was never complete without a stop in at the Sanrio store. To me, Sanrio is the epitome of girlhood. 💖 Hello, February!
y’all check out my nummylicious tea latte. earl grey crème is so good ugh. also annie pic. today was okay in productivity terms. I have to remind myself that rest after working like 30 hours is indeed productive. I also started a new stardew farm with @kiwi-mochipanda so yay!! I used my brain for some creative writing too so that’s always nice.
February 8th. // Day 4 of 100 days of productivity
I fell asleep yesterday and didn't write a report. Correcting the situation)
Yesterday was very busy! I went to various institutions and collected necessary documents. Everything worked out, so I'm very happy about it)
After all big plans I also stopped by the market and bought tasty tomatoes and halva.
In the evening I had a good meal and did a little journaling. And then I lay down for just five minutes and fell fast asleep. Never trust a small nap with timer, better just go sleep 😂
I plan to do a lot beautiful stuff in bullet journal and watch the series over the weekend, so the reports will be more creative)
sunday, june 11th, 2023 | 11/100 days of productivity
today is my last day of "summer break" before I start working full-time! I usually get pretty anxious about time passing, but I've been reminding myself that even once I'm working, I'll still have time to live my life and do other things. (and besides, I need to get the money to buy craft supplies from somewhere lol)
today's productivity:
lots of chores!
planned out next week in my bujo
today's self-care:
ate fruit & veggies!
finished a bookbinding project
made some bread dough & baked some muffins (they turned out super tasty!)
Very nice to have a full journal and label it with the beginning and end dates and put it on the stack... I have 6 years worth of journals and bullet journals and it feels a little bit like an achievement :) and a little archive of the past years
january is over! it's been... a pretty good month all things considered!! tried new things, and got back into familiar habits. particularly reading, and watching community! special mention to the last of us show, one of my favourite games and now one of my favourite shows. nothing else can make me sob like you do ; _ ;
the upcoming semester is starting soon-ish. and i need to get more of my shit together, but i'm hopeful 🌙
Eeepy time for mint. anyways weekly planner update!! woo!! Tomorrow I work and then I work and then I work and then- I’m off for my moms bday woo!! I did some laundry today and I’m about to take a shower AND change my sheets it’s about to be the best sleep of my lifeeee. Work was okay today, definitely feeling the jaws of capitalism clamp down on my waist and slowly bite me in half. I’m gonna start a cool project with a coworker though! we’re both into game dev stuff and i’d love to do some concept art again. I do miss it. I might restart my bookbinding project too.
