okay so I had a thought today that made me wonder whether I need to up my meds. but also it's kind of true.

isn't living just really slow motion suicide? some methods just....slower or faster? like a campfire... gives off carcinogens. most medications could potentially kill you. there's no road to take that isn't a dead-end eventually.

I mean like & reblog, because that's how I can tell if a minor has interacted with it. I mean, you shouldn't be reading it, if you're a minor. But Tumblr doesn't show us who reads posts, so technically...

But still, for your own mental health, you should probably not be reading things that are MDNI posts if you're a minor. Granted, this is the internet, so I'm sure you've seen shit that you shouldn't have had. Still, I know they're some minors who follow and interact with my posts, and that's fine because most of of it is SFW. Save for now two, going to be three because I'm in the middle of answering another ask, so just don't interact if you're a minor.

So yeah, you could technically read the post(s) and I would never know unless you reblogged/liked, but I'm giving you the responsibility of keeping yourself safe. I'm doing the best I can to ensure those NSFW posts don't get interacted with minors, but at the end of the day, unless you have NSFW stuff toggled off, you could technically read it without me knowing.

So TDLR: I will be blocking anyone who likes or reblog the post if they have no age in their bio or do have an age in their bio but is a minor.

hey, people! friendly reminder that artists, be they fanart artists or writers, do see the criticism you write on their posts and the vagueposting on certain social medias and it is not fucking okay. you have to remember that these content creators are people too, the very same way you are, and that they create content because they like engaging with a certain fandom.

i know i made a post about this a while ago when zar left the fandom but this post really made me realize how entitled people are in regards to consuming fandom material. fanart artists, the very same way writers do, get better over time, and many people in fandom, maybe not the majority, but still a good part, are amateur artists, and most of them are still looking for an artstyle that fits them. i joined this fandom in 2019, and i was really young back then. with experience, artists get better. or maybe they won't! that's fine too; however, this kind of criticism is both harmful and unasked for.

you are not entitled to anything. you consume media that people put out on the internet for free, and yet you're acting as if people are supposed to great godsent art; (fanart) artists and writers, listen to me. you do not owe the people who engage with your content anything. you decide what you want to do, and you should not feel pressured and obligated to do things you don't want to.

this fandom is really demanding towards the content creators they consider to be "good", and ignoring, to cite the previously linked post, the "mid" ones.

you decide what content you engage with. is it not your cup of tea? is it something that is not visually pleasing to you, or writing that is, by your standards, not good enough? do you just not like it? do not fucking engage with it. do not make other people feel bad about their art just because you don't like it. please, for the love of everything, understand that content is not created for you, and that people will not always produce the content you like. just scroll down; it's that simple.

I was gonna wait until I’d made more progress on the fanfic but I’m too impatient so… say ‘Hi’ to Tarryn Lavellan. My second Rook and Ashara’s little brother. Since he spent so much time with his sister and the rest of the Inquisition, it only felt right to draw his looks for both dai and datv.

I’m pretty happy with how these turned out in I’m being honest. I love this little dude so much that if I didn’t love my other Rook so much, Ryn would be my first playthrough pc. But Poe came first so he’s gonna have to wait a little while lol.

This is the first time I’ve drawn any of my characters as a kid but it was a fun challenge. I drew the younger version first so I had a good reference. And it’s been fun thinking about all the antics Tarryn got up to around Skyhold. He and Sera got along like two wet cats in a burlap sack, and if not attached to his sister at the hip- he could usually be found with Leliana. Oh and he had a big crush on Harding… so maybe that crush will go somewhere, idk, we’ll see… :3

rhaenyra’s anger is so fascinating to think about because like she gets the ‘ quick to anger and never forgot a slight’ descriptor, but she’s also ? even post the usurpation she’s the one accounting for the cost of just throwing her dragons against aegon’s. she’s displaying reluctance to attack the city post luke due to her horror of kinslaying. she’s willing to forgive high treason from her siblings with an apology. even with alicent when she takes KL she spared her life for ‘ our father who loved you once’ . like there’s such ? she has a very long fuse when it comes to slights from her own kin, her own blood. to the point that the bastard allegations are the only thing she consistently lashes out about

Let me be very, very clear: I am anti-censorship when it comes to fictional depictions of any sort. I am anti-censorship in writing, in painting, in drawing, in song, in WHATEVER. I don't care if what you're creating was created to cope with trauma or if you're writing a taboo subject because you get off on it and you want to explore that. Even things that I think are gross and won't read myself, I will die on the hill that says you're allowed to create it. I am anti-censorship even about that thing that squicks you especially. Things that are amoral in real life, illegal in real life, or unpopular in real life. Fiction is not hurting anyone; characters are not real people. If you are sharing your work, and you are clear about the content it contains, then the onus is on the person who is perceiving the work to decide for themselves if it is something they can safely receive.

im trying to write a crossover fic for the first time, for now im just hoping to finish the first chapter and see what the response is, but i have no idea what im doing 😭

im basically following the exact plot of one of them, just replacing the characters, but i do not know if i should be writing this almost word for word (aka using lines of dialogue, keeping the pacing and actions exactly the same, just changing mannerisms and wording to fit the different characters) or i should just go for it from memory

the thing im rewriting is life is strange, and ive watched tons of playthroughs so i know the plot pretty well, just not all of the dialogue and beats, but if i wanted to be precise i'd have to rewatch it, make notes, then go from there

and unless it's not already obvious, research is not my favourite thing, i will do it but i procrastinate A LOT compared to when i have a random oneshot idea

Haha I have been very lucky that for the most part people have been so kind and lovely and wonderful and supportive! ❤️ I did have one experience with an anon (On AO3 and on Tumblr) that wasn't very nice over the summer, but I know their anger was coming from a place of their own personal hurt. While I was upset in the moment I have some very lovely mutuals who were so kind and supportive and encouraging. These days I hope that user is doing better and that they have been able to find their own inner peace. My mom always says that "hurt people, hurt people" and I just really hope they are doing well and wish I could have helped in some way.

BUT I don't think it's a bad idea to remember that we are all doing this for FREE and for FUN and if you come across a fic that you don't agree with, are triggered by, or that contains content you don't enjoy, it is your responsibility as a reader to hit the back button and remove yourself from that situation, especially when tags are used appropriately as well as additional, more detailed warnings in the author's note. Everyone has different life experiences and something that might be triggering and upsetting to one person, could be a way to heal and process for someone else. One person's trauma and life experience is not more valid or more "correct" than someone else's and personally I find it really important that we treat everyone and their experiences with respect. If I'm upset or bothered by something, or even just that I don't really like, I know that I personally will go "hm this fic must not be for me" and then go and find one that is.
