Forget about her so far pretty generic romance with V, (often further distilled down into the blandest possible core of m/f ('he was a boy, she was a girl', 'wholesome') without even acknowledging the edges canon gives them (going to war together - the whole "battle couple" thing you could make out of that alone - , what about their underlying ideals? Edahn doesn't mention Arlene as particularly taken with Tower residents and even acting as frequent intermediary between Zahard and V, so how did they mesh in that regard? Having to watching it all crumble, slipping away as literal fugitives, the breakdown of their relationship potentially even prior but definitely following their sons murder, etc.)), Zahard and Arlene is where it's at. It's literally the dynamic that created the plot of Tower of God.

fic where reader is brought in for questioning after a heist where the thief stole something of very high value and the cop, bucky, shows cctv footage of reader making brief eye contact with the suspect in the museum, a tall, blond man with impressively wide shoulders.

“you’ve brought me here bc i just so happened to look at a man that you think committed a crime? is that what i’m gathering?” you ask incredulously after he shows you the video clip.

“no,” bucky says impatiently, “we wanted to question you on whether or not you know him. you were seen in the same areas of the museum at the same time, multiple times.”

reader huffs a disbelieving laugh. “it’s a museum! i’m sure i passed by several people repeatedly. why does that automatically mean i know him specifically?”

“bc he didn’t make eye contact with anyone else. he made a point to not look anyone in the eye. except you.”

bucky stares you down, eyes narrowed and accusing.

“i’m making an awful lot of eye contact with you right now. does that make you a potential accessory as well?” you ask sarcastically, condescendingly.

bucky releases a harsh, frustrated breath through his nose. “you don’t recognize him at all?” he questions instead of bothering to answer you.

you take a moment to reply, if only to piss him off even more. “no,” you finally say, simple yet concise.

“fine. you’re free to go.”

“have a good day, detective,” you say as you stand and walk passed him.

later, as you enter your home, you go through the motions of toeing off your shoes and settling your purse and keys on the side table by the door. you barely make it two steps into your kitchen when you’re grabbed from behind in a strong hold, an arm wrapped tightly around your waist, the other across your shoulders.

“be good and don’t scream.”

you tilt your head back so you can meet the bright blue eyes of your captor and smirk. “but you like it when i scream.”

steve’s grin spread slow. “that’s true,” he confesses.

you turn around in his embrace, smoothing your palms up his torso until you can wrap your arms around his neck, playing with the blond hairs tickling your fingers.

I desire fanfics out there where the government specifically targets the micronations cause they aren't nations but they aren't people either. Also, it would make more sense cause you'd notice a nation go missing pretty fast vs if a micronation goes missing. Only other micronations or people in close/constant contact with that micronation will notice their disappearance and even then, would any of the nations actually care? Probably not lol You have the perfect test subjects. They are so much different from their nation counterpart too like, what do you mean you're a man-made fort in the middle of the ocean? What do you mean you spawned from a driveway dispute?

NIKO NIKO WOULD BE SUCH A TARGET BECAUSE OF HOW HE WAS A HUMAN THAT BECAME A MICRONATION BEFORE GIVING UP HIS NATION STATUS AND BECOMING HUMAN AGAIN It gives the government or scientists more wiggle room to try to create their own micronations or even become some for the sake of immortality and whatever. Then they can work on going after the nations from there.

Not to be one of those guys but WHY can't I take my 5 month old dog into the grocery store????? You can take your screaming baby???? My puppy is just as small, just as baby, honestly he's quieter than most babies, he smells about as much as the average baby, he produces less goop on average than a baby!!! Please I am just one gremlin with one tiny four legged child and I can't leave him in the car bc it's hot and I can't leave him in the crate at home bc he's been in the crate literally all day while I was at work!! Which I already feel terrible about!!! Come on!! How am I supposed to get groceries or any of the other things!!! I get it some ppl are afraid or allergic but im not letting him clobber people in stores!! He is 10 whole pounds okay he is literally smaller than some babies
