I’m working from home today since I just couldn’t get my butt out of the house this morning - I just went back to bed, showered and fully clothed, coffee in hand.
I’m at the stage of organising my arguments and notes for my first of two research papers, and it’s a bit of a headache but I much prefer this to straight-forward revision for exams.
Oh! And other uni update: we got our grades for our law exam, and I got 17 out of 18 points?! Which is actual insanity for a law exam and means I have a perfect 1.0 for the first two semesters in law. Success!

January 29 to February 04 2018
I really liked this spread from last week. It was such a busy week for school, but also with friendships and emotions.

[1/6/18] I’m trying out this new thing with physics where I revise as we go instead of trying to do all my studying right before the test. So hopefully this works out and I’ll start getting the grades I want!

HI peeps! My name is Tae and this is officially my first post! *woot woot*
So I’ve been commuting to college for 2 years now, so I wanted to share some of my necessities for commuting! (This can also apply to high school and non commuting students)
Book bag- What I normally look for in a book bag:
Compartments - Idk if it’s just me but my book bags absolutely have to have a side pocket. It’s good to have your water bottle on the outside so you can avoid spills and have easier access. I also keep my umbrella there. I don’t want it getting anything wet and if I sit it down I am 99% sure gonna lose it before the day is over.
Materials - If you’re in an area that rains and snows you’ll want something water proof (or like that material that water just slides off..that’s water proof..right..carry on)
Size - Most book bags come with that laptop compartment. Check the specs and make sure your laptop will fit.
Cost - Remember: You get what you pay for. You should invest in a good book bag that’ll last you. But it doesn’t have to be an arm, leg and your first born.
Phone Charger-
Phone charger, portable charger, car charger. You’ll need one with you. Nothing like being an hour away from home on 5% and a panicking mother.
Headphones/Earplugs -
I personally prefer earplugs. They’re easier to put away and allows me to still be aware of my surroundings.
Water bottle and snacks -
Get a reusable/refillable water bottle, help save the planet and stuff!
I STRONGLY suggest that you keep your snacks in a plastic baggy of some sort. Guys. The amount of crumbs at the bottom of my book bag could feed an army of ants. Horrible day that was..
Small wallet/pouch-
I have a small wallet that I just keep my IDs, card, and cash in. Got it from Walmart, $4.
***side note** Have at least $10 cash and like $1 of quarters, for emergencies or in case a vending machine is being stupid***
I use one of those little plastic makeup pouches to get my little things like chapstick, mini hand sanitizer and lotion, and feminine products in. So they’re not all over the place and if you need to switch bags BAM. Easy peasy.
I hope you or someone finds this useful! And I would greatly appreciate and add-ons or feedback!

Hi! 🥀
My name is Sate. It's a shortened version of my name and what I prefer to be called. I'm not new to tumblr but I am to the studyblr, bujo & dark/light academia communities
About me:
-I'm a non traditional student. I began my college career immediately after high school but wasn't mentally or financially prepared so I dropped out to work full time. I recently began taking classes again at the age of 27
-I study biochemistry and take electives in creative writing, stage makeup/theatre and recreation. All the things are obviously very different but things I am interested in.
-My dream is to be a nurse, own a publishing company, live in a castle (I'll settle for a cottage in the middle of a forest) with a huge library and a bunch of cats
-I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area
-I love to cook and bake. My favorite thing to drink besides water is red wine. Earl grey tea with cream and honey is yummy as well
-I played the violin from age 7 to 17. I stopped to join the choir which isn't my strong suit, so now I just admire
Interests:
-candle making & baking. They pay my bills and I love them both. Neither feel like actual jobs
-learning a new language. I'm fluent in Spanish and am new to learning Italian & French
-reading. My favorite books are The Picture of Dorian Grey, the Phantom of the Opera, They Have Always Lived in the Castle & The Feast of All Saints
-writing. I write short stories, poetry and working on my first novel
-true crime
-horror movies & tv shows. My favorites are Bates Motel & AHS
-rainy days & misty mornings
-Baroque & Victorian era
-period pieces
-opera & classical music as well as the blues
-Black history, specifically the lives of Black women during the Victorian era. If you have any awesome photos or drawings pertaining to this era, message me!
Etc.:
Why did you make this tumblr?
Mostly because I wanted to document the journey of my education as a non-traditional student but also as a journal of sorts.
I am going through a period of self-discovery, honesty and self improvement. A huge part of that is immersing myself in my studies and hobbies that I've abandoned due to having to work do much with no "me time". I would love to find others with the same hobbies and goals. I would also love to inspire others even if it's by posting my notes, book recommendations, random encouraging thoughts.

Currently working through draft 2, but I'm still in a bit of an emotional rut so I'm trying to take it a little slower even though the timeline isn't really allowing for it. also! I went through the WSL Fixtures and highlighted all the Liverpool matches hehehe

Members of the studyblr community have definitely seen this challenge. I personally have done this challenge too! But what exactly are the 100 Days of Productivity?
For this challenge, all you need to do is post 100 times about your productivity. Generally, you'd create one post for the challenge each day. However, they don't need to be consecutive days, and you could combine multiple days into one post.
Who?
Anyone and everyone can do the 100 days of productivity challenge! It's most common in students and studyblrs, but it's open to all.
Where?
I've only seen it on Tumblr, but you can also post on Instagram or any other social media platform of your choice.
When?
I start my 100 days of productivity at the beginning of a school year. You can start whenever you'd like! Two good times to start are the start of a new year or a new school year.
How?
The most common way to post in this challenge is to post photos of what you did each day. Still, this isn't a requirement - you can do a written summary as well.
I don't know exactly what the official tag for this challenge is, but I tend to use #100 days of productivity and #100dop.
That's all there is to it! It's a very open-ended challenge, with only one loose guideline. So go ahead and start posting!

Note
I go to a predominately white high school in NY and it's probably 5% minority. My guidance counselor thinks really lowly of me because I'm black and she tells me I'm not prepared for honors or AP classes but when I take them anyway my grades are higher than a majority of the other people in the class. She told my mom if I got into college it would probably be because of my race and not my grades since colleges are looking to be "more diverse now." We don't listen to her anymore.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
