Polyamships is hosting #MultiamoryMarch2024

Once again we gather to celebrate polyamory in all its forms: OT3s, OT4s, OT8s, V-relationships, QPRs, sedoretus, and any configuration you can think of. In the spirit of this month, we invite you to create works in any medium using the prompts above if you need a little inspiration. You can also create freely or even use one of our prompts from past years we’d still love to see fanworks for if they inspire you better. If you use a prompt, please make sure to let us know which prompt you’re creating for somewhere on your post.

At us @polyamships and use the tags #MultiamoryMarch and #MultiamoryMarch2024 in the first five tags so we can hopefully see it. If you don’t see us reblog your post within a few days feel free to send us an ask to let us know, or submit it via our googleform here, in case we’ve missed your post or the tags/notifications are being weird.

All ratings are welcome but anything nsfw/triggery should be warned for and behind a read more, as should very long tumblr fic.

She presumed Akira did as well. “Not like I’m asking you to tend to them for the rest of your life, you know.” Akira shrugged. “It’s just a gift.”

Exchanging flowers helps Akechi, Akira and Sumire express their thoughts in a more tangible way, including the things that are too often left unsaid.

My idea for this one was they went out for a date to a wildlife park and got horribly lost. Yuya and Yuzu have probably never used a map before (don't worry, Sora will help them find their way back!)

Welcome to Multiamory March 2024

As February comes to a close, we gather to celebrate polyamory in all its forms: OT3s, OT4s, OT8s, V-relationships, QPRs, sedoretus, and any configuration of polyamory you can think of.

This year, we're including you guys in the process behind the scenes by asking you to be part of the organization efforts by filling up this spreadsheet where we will track the works submitted during the event.

How to use the spreadsheet?

Ignore the first 3 columns completely, as they are for internal use only. Fill up as many details as you can about your fanwork in the following cells, only one fanwork per row. Check our blog to see if a tag exists for your fandom & ship - if not, see here for how to tag ships.

If you're short on time or you don't understand how a certain fanwork should be classified, you can always drop us the link to your blog/AO3 post, since any kind of information will be useful in helping us share all the works that come around, making sure that nobody misses a chance to be featured in the blog.

Last year, we had a whooping 378 works submitted during the whole month and we're a small mod team, so we encourage you to use the spreadsheet so that we can see your work in a timely manner.

Let the Multiamory spirit spread and posting begin!

We’ll accept portraying a ship as toxic (If all characters in ship are toxic to each other and/or the relationship is being portrayed in a “working it out and getting better” kind of way.

We won’t accept abusive ships.

We won’t accept incest ships.

We won’t accept adult x minor ships! (If a character in canon is a child and has an older form close in age to the character being shipped with them, pls use that form for the ship & vice versa!)

We won’t accept LGBTQIA+phobia (This includes contradictory labels!)

We won’t accept ships that involve a man with a lesbian character or a woman with a gay character (If you do, pls genderbend or HC the character as trans)

If minors are being shipped together, the highest age gap should be 2.

Age gaps don’t matter with adults being shipped together.

Morning Routine

For the Final Fantasy Kiss Battle (which is still going.) Also for @polyamships' Multiamory March (prompt: Hope). Fandom: FFVII Characters: Cloud/Tifa/Barret

Cloud woke up earlier than Barret did on a regular basis. Barret didn't believe it at first, having trained himself to wake up at dawn even in the obscured light of the Undercity. Part of him thought Cloud was doing it on purpose - as if he'd known Barret was proud of waking up so early and wanted to take it from him.

"How are you awake?" he remembered asking once, when he'd still been half-asleep and Cloud had already been dressed and wearing his sword. It was just after the sun had risen in their little camp, and the others had still been asleep. He'd never had the heart to make Tifa wake up with him, even the few times they'd shared a room or even a bed for warmth in the coldest nights. Cloud apparently felt the same, which was a relief.

Cloud had just looked at him with those strange, alien blue eyes. "I have trouble sleeping," he'd answered brusquely, before turning away.

For some reason, that had given Barret pause. Maybe because when he'd known him in Midgar, the guy hadn't been able to lie worth a damn - one reason why he'd just avoided all the questions Barret had ever asked him. So he hadn't kept pushing, had just shook his head to try to wake up and gone to stand next to him.

"It's the light," Cloud had elaborated after a while, gesturing at his face. "It never goes out."

"Damn." Barret shook his head. "Must be rough."

Cloud hadn't said anything, just made a small sound that usually meant he agreed. Barret had relaxed; it wasn't going to turn into something awkward.

Tifa woke up after they did, if not by much. She came to join them while the others slept, standing between them - not that she had to anymore. Barret thought she just wanted to be there, which was fine with him.

She leaned over and kissed Barret on the cheek, then he heard her do the same for Cloud - he would've known even if he hadn't heard Tifa's kiss, because Cloud wasn't good at hiding the small sound of embarrassment he always made.

It had been quiet then. Barret knew that when the others woke up, the quiet would be done with and they'd have to get going. Eventually he'd probably have to wake them, even, and let Cloud and Tifa get packed up and prepared for the next leg of the journey. But this quiet time had become an important part of their routine. He wasn't going to give it up until he had no other choice. He hoped he'd never have to.
